Properties / Re: How Much Electricity Does Water Pumping Machine Use In a Month? by johnpablo541(m): 7:59pm On Nov 06, 2023
CaptainFM1:

Everybody's case is not the same. 5k per month may not be enough if they pump water 3 to 4 times a day like my neighbor's house.

OP said they have just 5 flats in the compound, why will they now be pumping water 3 to 4 times daily, or do they have a fish pond?

I stays in an apartment that has five 5flat , each flat occupied with 5 different tenants including myself. Before we uses direct electricity which we collectively pays monthly but recently got change to prepaid meter. With each fat with it own prepaid meter. The landlord refuse to bring another prepaid separately for the compound water Pumping Machine.
However the tenants come to dialogue and agreed to tap electricity from my own prepaid meter to the pumping machine in agreement that each tenant will be paying me 1000naira monthly. So I want to know if 5k can be enough to run pumping machine for a month?

1000naira per flat is more than enough, which is 5k per month. My compound makes use of 1hp pumping machine and we contribute 400naira monthly for the prepaid meter. Total number of flats in my compound is 8.

9ja too dey behind. What stops these guys from making the prepaid more available?
OK! I just remembered that they make outrageous money from this estimated and outdated format of theirs cheesy
Even Ghana here don too leave 9ja behind. Who still uses the archaic meter or climbs ladders to terminate electricity? 😂

We usually have 18 to 24 hrs of electricity supply daily at my location but some people still don't want to pay for power consumed.

My neighbour bypassed her meter some months ago and bragged about it some time ago that she has only filled her gas once this year.

Bottom line is most Nigerians want everything to be free. I even heard that some AEDC staff are the ones being paid to do the prepaid meter bypass.

tosinet:
I was sure when going to Atm today that the new notes won't be available yet and it was not...If it were a policy to debit certain amount from customers per transaction it will be in effect before 24 hours.

With the short window the people have to get old notes to the bank, the same old notes are being returned to the public.

Most bank branches were given 1.9 million of the new naira notes. So they only pay out only 5,000naira of the new notes and give you old notes.

So if you withdraw 100k, you will receive 95k old notes and 5k new notes.

Bro, I'm so sorry if I am disturbing... I got to know that you were one of the few people that learnt about email copywriting from venzal in2020. Pls bro, I just came across the thread few days ago and I have been reading and learning it avidly. However , a little guidance would go a long way for me. As suggested by venzal,I tried to subscribe to be settle email list so that I could practice his email samples but I found out that it ain't free. A month's subscription cost as much as over $40 dollars and I am only a broke private school teacher and I have orphans under me.
I looked up other renowned copywriters and the story was the same.
I went further to gather as much info as I can from YouTube channels, blog posts and free ebooks but all these information from various sources proved so overwhelming and even contradictory that I most times go blank and get confuse the moment I settle down to write..
I just need a one Particular path or method that I could stick to. A method or style that has proven to be very effective.
God knows I would forever be grateful if you recommend or even assist me with one or two materials that helped you in this skill ..

pls help me big bro. My condition is very desperate and the way things are for me right now, I just can't afford to fail. I already have the zeal and right mindset, I just need someone to hand me a Torchlight so that I could find my own way.. Thanks bro. If you don't mind, you could contact me through adazeez1995@gmail.com or Whatsapp 08148680882.
Thank you sir

Truth is most freelancers don't have the time to mentor anyone. You just have to learn on your own and ask questions when lost.

I only read venzal's thread before starting up my freelancing career.

There are lot's of freelance gigs you can do, you just have to discover yourself first.

Is writing your thing? do you enjoy writing? You have to ask yourself that question.

Another thing is the competition is stiffer now on the freelance platforms cos a lot of people are going into it, so it will take a longer time to land a gig.

I'm the only son, and the house is mine already...I got my own detached bunk..but sometimes people do stare at me and gossip that as old as I am, I still stay with my parents. my fiancee refused to have my child because of this same issue, that i should pack out first... before we think about having kids or marriage.
left for me I see nothing wrong here, why would I go and pay house rent when I could use that money for something better..because my own apartment is detached and my parents are not even complaining..

but friends, outsiders always pokenosing... sometimes I feel ashamed when I think about it

Your story doesn't add up, on your other thread, you said your younger brother does not respect you because of your small stature, and you also claimed to be married.

You claimed to be 21 the other time, now you are 35 and an only son. Maybe my eyes are playing tricks with me sha.

You have spoken well.

Right here is one of the major reasons I stopped guiding. People think customer support is easy and many of them go for CS, but I have given 150 students 4 sample scenarios and NONE could come up with a professional response. But they all claimed to be CUSTOMER SERVICE PROS.

Well spoken, then a lot of us Nigerians have poor work ethics. I had this friend i used to share gigs with when i have too much on my hand.

After a while she started giving excuses why she couldn't do the job, she will call me later in the evening that she had church program and they didn't close on time, or have one marriage or occasion she wants to attend.

Alright. About Upwork,

-Is writing still a selling niche in upwork? And what other niche can one do?

-Is opening a Nigeria or foreign account advisable in upwork? Which one do you use + recommendations.

-Other important useful tips to make it on upwork.

Thank you.

Yes, writing still sells on Upwork, but the competition is very stiff right now. If you are new on Upwork it may take a while to land your first job. Be patient and keep submitting proposals.

Once you have had several hires it becomes easy, you wouldn't need to be submitting proposals that much anymore as you would start having repeat customers, and invitations to interviews.

Upwork is like the regular job market, only that it is remote, the clients are not there to dash anyone money, rather pay for your skills and work done, some do send tips though if they are very impressed with your world.

A friend of mine joined Upwork and I told her to learn the particular skill she wanted to sell, she said "it no hard jare."

She got her first interview within a few weeks and the client asked for a simple task, guess what she flopped. When she told me about it I had to look at what she did and I laughed, I told her that what she did was below average.

She was all about the money, she keeps asking, "how much do you make every week?"
I told her to calm down and focus on learning the desired skill and building a profile.

Then concerning your question on bank accounts, when I started, I was making withdrawals to my naija bank accounts, I no longer make use of that.

I now make use of Payoneer and USA virtual accounts, you can get them from Grey and Geegpay.

Here are a few useful tips, start small. Don't go and be charging $30/hr when you have no work experience on your profile.

Sometimes I do get some offers to write a simple letter for say $10 or $20. I still do it, it doesn't take more than 20 mins to do that, just check google for samples and edit them to the client's requirements.

A client once messaged me that he wanted to write a letter to a school in the USA to find out if they will consider him for their masters program, I got confused with the request, cos I felt even someone in secondary school should be able to write a letter to ask an institution such questions.

I just sha wrote the letter and sent to him, dude was super-excited.

So start small, and focus on building your profile, the money part is important but it should not be the only thing you focus on for now.
