I stayed in the hostel and my room does not look like that. Only a dirty student can let his room like that.
Have you seen the girls hostels?
Yap. The female hostels are better off. I wonder what the male students did to the school management .

This guy you must be a joke, is it UNN's fault that you don't want to take care of your dirty and unarranged hostel room, go and check out the female hostel rooms and see how beautifully and neatly arranged they are.

Even some rooms in the Male hostel, inhabitated by neat individuals look reputable and organized.

You just happen to be the dirty type.
I never stayed on campus during my time in UNN.
All the rooms in the male hostel looks like that no offense sir

Kindly explain the essence of the Kente they are putting on. Reeks of fakeness
Why were they wearing it?
The kente scarves were given out to the congressmen and women by the Congressional Black Caucus, according to NBC News reporter Leigh Ann Caldwell .

This congressional group meets to pursue legislative goals around greater equality for black people.

"The significance of the kente cloth is our African heritage and for those of you without that heritage who are acting in solidarity," Karen Bass, chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus, told reporters on Monday.

"That is the significance of the kente cloth - our origins and respecting our past."

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus have worn kente at other occasions, including events last year to mark the 400th anniversary of the arrival of enslaved Africans to America and President Donald Trump's State of the Union address in 2018.

Over the years, kente has been used in the US to reflect a pride in African heritage, including at graduation ceremonies for students in historically black fraternities or sororities.

Zik's flat is a personal property to the Zik's family and even outside the perimeters of the campus. When the owners are ready, they'll put it in order.
Zik's flat was built by Nnamdi Azikiwe and donated to the University.
However, there was a rumor going on around back then that there is a court case between zips family and the school management over ownership of the place.

The school management still runs the place though.

Thank you op for This exposure. For that person trying to do a face saving post of UNN, shame on you. That's my alma mater, but I can assure you that each time I visit Nsk, I always weep seeing what is left of the school. Go to the entrance gate by ziks flat, it is riddled with pot holes, not to talk of other dilapidated structures. Apart from Prof. Chinedu Nebo who did his best to upgrade the academic and infrastructure of UNN. Others are not fit to answer VC. Beginning from Bartho Okolo and others I don't even care to know their names.
Truely ziks flat is an eyesore

Someone who is not biased should post better drone pictures and not just the biased op.
OP left the good ones and posted the bad ones
UNN has the best quality of education and successful graduates.
Let us forget tribal sentiments. I am a yoruba guy from ogun. I did my first degree in u.i and second degree in UNN.
I must confess UNN quality of education is very sound.
Their library is world class better than any university in Nigeria. Very big structure with standard books.
Research is also key when eating universities.
Even their senior staff club donated by first bank is cool.
A lot of nice buildings like VC building was not snapped
How many universities have a zoo or botanical garden.

Undoubtedly, UNN is still the best university in nigeria.
Better than any other school in nigeria.
I m a Yoruba from south west and I went to so many schools
There is no university better than UNN in Nigeria.
The op is snapping uncompleted buildings to give d school a bad name which is totally out of place cos uncompleted buildings show the school have more space to develop their infrastructure.
There are many beautiful buildings in both Nsukka campus and Enugu campus.
Even the technical education workshops in UNN is far better than most universities' faculty of education workshops combined.
Look at some of the buildings the op showed.
He should have snapped the UNN library very well and give us good pictorial evidence shots. You guys would be amazed the UNN library is one of the best in africa.

About the quality of education and sound lecturers, UNN is the best both at undergraduate and post graduate level.
A lion is always the best and king of the jungle.
Even in the labour market, a UNN graduate is highly respected.
A lot of past and current ministers and big names all graduated from the school.
Even lecturers that were once graduates like Charles Soludo, PN Okeke, Anyakoha and many others.
UNN does the best thesis and research in nigeria.
Truly a UNN graduate is ahead of you.
OP didn't even post some departments that are still wooden structures like Agric engineering classrooms. Physics lab, some classrooms in faculty of agric

The pics below are

2. VC's office

No sir, the first(main) gate is the one by the security office.

How many times did you use the green house gate. I past there only twice during my time on campus. You hardly even find cars passing through it.
BusinessRe: Why I Broke My WEMA Alat ATM Card And Stopped Going Cashless by johnpablo541(m): 9:17am On Jun 05, 2020
Shoodboi:
I am so pissed off right now.

I wasn’t angry when I broke the card. I just wanted to make sure that:

i. I will not be able to use the card or account anymore.

ii. I will be forced to open a new regular bank account.

The Story (in brief)

I suffered a failed POS transaction yesterday.

I sent Wema ALAT a mail and they are yet to reply as of now (almost 24 hours later).

I called them this morning and listened to a recorded message about how my call may be delayed because of COVID-19. I quickly cut the call. Their customer wasn’t effective before the virus came along, so I wonder what to expect now.

I later visited their bank and the customer care rep told me the transaction will be reversed within 14 days, if they were sure that I was really unable to withdraw the money.

14 days? Why is this so?

The money doesn’t even belong to me and the owner is very angry with me right now. Someone sent it to her and she wanted to use someone else's account to receive it, but I convinced her to use me—and then this happened.

Worse, she needs it for feeding and I don't have any money to give her. (She wasn’t paying me for the service in case you’re wondering.)

I suffered the same thing in the hands of GTB. (Their regular customer service email complaints@gtbank.com isn't even working anymore.)

In fact, I opened a WEMA Alat account because of GTB’s failures. I thought Alat will be better since they marketed themselves as a “Digital Bank”, but it appears that I was wrong. They are “digital” in name only.

This should be the third or fourth time WEMA Alat is doing this sort of nonsense to me. And that is without counting the failed mobile and POS transfers.

I am actually not concerned about GTB’s and Wema’s failures. I just hate their terrible customer service.

Failed transactions are one thing. I actually consider them normal. However, poor customer service and unwillingness to quickly solve failed online transactions aren’t. And this is unfortunately common with most banks and businesses in this country.

Now, I’ve have made the decision to stop going cashless. I will start moving around with cash henceforth. I’m sick and tired of all these failed POS transactions and sluggish customer service reps.

I know I will still do some online transactions but that will be occasionally (online shopping, international payments, etc.)

That said, I want you all to answer these two questions:

1. Which bank is reliable for online transactions?

2. Which bank has the most effective customer care service in this country?

I’m thinking of opening a Union bank account since I can see they have revamped their business, but I don't want to jump into conclusions as I did with Alat.

Could you all help me out?

P.S. Please UBA and Skye (if this one still exists) are out of the equation. I used them in the past and can confidently say they are terrible. They steal money.

I don’t want Access bank too. I’ve never read anything good about them. They and fraud are relatives. I don’t want Diamond bank either since they are the new owners of Access bank.

So, any suggestions?
The gtbank email you sent to was the old one.

The more recent email is gtconnect@gtbank.com

Yes na. To the best of my knowledge. Unn has first gate (main gate), second gate (opposite Jives) Odim gate, Hill top gate, then that gate around UBA that that is always deserted i think its called green house gate

I read book CHIKE AND THE RIVER, CHINUA ACHEBE
Read the book a few days ago. Here is a quote from it

A few days later Chike’s friends were again talking about the river. They spoke about
Asaba on the other side.
“Do you know,” said Samuel to Chike, “that as soon as you step out of the ferry in
Asaba you are in Midwestern Nigeria?”
The others agreed excitedly. They all had been to the Midwest. “And do you know,”
said another boy whose name was Ezekiel, “that once you are in Asaba it is one way to
Lagos?”
“Yes,” said Samuel. “Lagos. Second-to-London. I have not been to Lagos. But I know
Asaba which is poor-man’s Lagos.”
His companions laughed. Samuel sometimes talked like a grown man; this was one of
the reasons why he was so popular with his companions.
Chike’s mind was far away—in Midwestern Nigeria. He liked such flowing phrases.

So after I buy data with my own money I go still pay tax to use my data... This is madness
They are not taxing you on WhatsApp usage. What they want to tax for is any business carried on on WhatsApp. Even at that i don't still support their idea
