Right here is one of the major reasons I stopped guiding. People think customer support is easy and many of them go for CS, but I have given 150 students 4 sample scenarios and NONE could come up with a professional response. But they all claimed to be CUSTOMER SERVICE PROS.

Well spoken, then a lot of us Nigerians have poor work ethics. I had this friend i used to share gigs with when i have too much on my hand.

After a while she started giving excuses why she couldn't do the job, she will call me later in the evening that she had church program and they didn't close on time, or have one marriage or occasion she wants to attend.

Yes, writing still sells on Upwork, but the competition is very stiff right now. If you are new on Upwork it may take a while to land your first job. Be patient and keep submitting proposals.

Once you have had several hires it becomes easy, you wouldn't need to be submitting proposals that much anymore as you would start having repeat customers, and invitations to interviews.

Upwork is like the regular job market, only that it is remote, the clients are not there to dash anyone money, rather pay for your skills and work done, some do send tips though if they are very impressed with your world.

A friend of mine joined Upwork and I told her to learn the particular skill she wanted to sell, she said "it no hard jare."

She got her first interview within a few weeks and the client asked for a simple task, guess what she flopped. When she told me about it I had to look at what she did and I laughed, I told her that what she did was below average.

She was all about the money, she keeps asking, "how much do you make every week?"
I told her to calm down and focus on learning the desired skill and building a profile.

Then concerning your question on bank accounts, when I started, I was making withdrawals to my naija bank accounts, I no longer make use of that.

I now make use of Payoneer and USA virtual accounts, you can get them from Grey and Geegpay.

Here are a few useful tips, start small. Don't go and be charging $30/hr when you have no work experience on your profile.

Sometimes I do get some offers to write a simple letter for say $10 or $20. I still do it, it doesn't take more than 20 mins to do that, just check google for samples and edit them to the client's requirements.

A client once messaged me that he wanted to write a letter to a school in the USA to find out if they will consider him for their masters program, I got confused with the request, cos I felt even someone in secondary school should be able to write a letter to ask an institution such questions.

I just sha wrote the letter and sent to him, dude was super-excited.

So start small, and focus on building your profile, the money part is important but it should not be the only thing you focus on for now.

So, there is this asset declaration form you fill and update every four years when working for either the federal, state or local government. You fill all your assets and liabilities of yourself and your spouse. So you cannot be worth say 5 million some years ago and then suddenly have over 500 million in your bank account within a few years.

Try to stay online more, i usually leave my fiverr on all through the night anytime my impression and clicks are reducing.

Remote working is bae, but the first few months are usually the hardest. I was almost frustrated after my first three months before I finally landed a gig.

But it gets easy with time, because clients would have seen that you have completed a lot of jobs and that puts you ahead of those with new profiles.

I believe there is more competition now than in 2021.

One advise is do not stick to one platform, I make use Upwork and Fiverr, but I prefer Upwork, but I seemed to have performed better on Fiverr this month than on Upwork.

I am planning on switching over from writing to Tech probably next year. A friend of mine is making a kill as a Sharepoint Administrator.

Yes he hired me again after some days. It was a copywriting job. Learned a lot from the guy, a later taught me how to do list building and embed tweets on Notion.

Americans are too outspoken, he tells me about his family and many other things I feel I am not supposed to be aware of.

So I worked for an American remotely, it was a full time gig. We usually have zoom meetings every morning to talk about yesterday's task and talk a little about today's task. ( the zoom meetings tire me i swear)

What I noticed about them is that they relate with you like you are their friend, love keeping up with time, and hate unnecessary excuses.

They have the most polite way of laying someone off.

The guy sacked me one time, cos I chatted him up to make a complain about the work we were doing that something wasn't working well.

He said i should jump on zoom so he shares his screen to explain the stuff to me, but I refused and told him that we can sort it out tomorrow morning.

Oga come vex say what was my reason for raising the issue when I don't want it to be solved then. Next morning i tried to login, I no get access again. Checked my mail and one long letter dey wait for me.

Maybe they want to turn the state to a destination for academic tourism

The state shoutd also look at investing in other sectors so that the gradutes produced in these universities can get a job within the state and settle their to fetch for more revenue to the state

Abeg list the names of Universities for Enugu State. I don't think Enugu has up to 10 universities in total.

According to NUC, Ogun State has the highest number of Universities in Nigeria with a total number of 16.

Like poco, I also learned about freelance copywriting from nairaland. God bless that guy venzal for his thread back in 2020.

One thing is you will need to learn it on your own, it's hard to see a freelancer making money that will sacrifice his/her time to coach you. They can only point you in the right direction.

Immediately they called and told me, first thing I did was recharge online on the meter right away, hoping I would have a chance, but I got home now I saw they’ve opened the meter, and I’m sure our people they would have taken enough pictures of the tampered meter, some of them can even pix mix I’m for evidence.

Well they dropped a letter for me, on the letter my last recharge was written at the back stating about 8months ago, and a phone at the back.

I don’t know what to do first, any I’ve not make any move yet, but I’ve corrected the bypass meter. suggestions how best to handle it.

As a first time offender your fine is 50k for a single phase meter.

I don't think that envelop would contain more than a million naira. According to Wike, the royalties coming in from the 17 oil wells were into billions of naira monthly.
