Now, let our suffering unite us. Let the harsh economy unite us. Let the wanton destruction of life and properties unite us. I'm happy we lost |
Awesome... Now, let's face what's facing us. Enough of the killings |
The truth is we have no business at the world cup. With Yesterday's attack I don't think we have any business playing a football match today. The nation should be a mourning mood. |
The clamour for a better Nigeria is in the interest of everyone. Let's all remember this. So when it's to either choose Nigeria or Private wealth I hope we're able to choose Nigeria |
Nigerian workers must get sense. Until they take a stand about rebuilding this nation we’re yet to see the worst. If NLC and TUC should organize themselves these politicians will run away. Without labor there’s no economy |
Oyiboman69:I won't respond to you again. You obviously don't know what you're talking about. Still trying to be clever by half. What led to the 2014 crisis? America and it's Allies supported the right sector to stage coup that ousted a democratically elected President and install a puppet because Yanukovich refused trade deals with the west. NATO and America started the war in Ukraine. Between 2014 and 2021 America had sent $1.5Billion worth of military hardwares to Ukraine and was pushing to place nuclear missiles in Ukraine which will be 10mins flight time to Moscow. If you're not partisan just tell me one country that will tolerate this. Russia have every right to lay claim to Crimea and that's a fact. For the current Crisis, the Ukrainian government was reckless. Zelensky at one point was bold to pursue nuclear program and at same time persecuting indigenous Russians by banning Russian language in public sector while pushing to join NATO. None of the western countries will tolerate any of this. And when did your modern civilization start because the last time I checked America has bombarded almost every country in the world throughout in history. You all crying over Ukraine are all hypocrites. Did you cry when your fellow Africans in Libya were bombarded by NATO? Or what was the relationship with NATO and Libya aside from the fact that Gaddafi wanted stronger Economic and military sovereignty for Africans. |
Oyiboman69:Lol… You’re funny. You don’t know your history or you’re trying to be clever by half. Did Russia enslave you? Crimea you’re crying about was part of the USSR and infact welcomed the Russia rule with all pleasure because during the collapse of the USSR nobody was consulted before they drafted them into Ukraine. And are you aware that referendum was conducted and they opted to join Russia? Before the invasion, most of those Eastern part were under the separatist movement; Donetsk and Luhansk. More than 40% of Ukrainian have Russian roots and the Ukrainian government supported by the Right sector with Nazis ideology began banning Russian languages in the public sectors. You think Russia is Libya or Afghanistan? I can’t have power and watch my people get persecuted for being who they’re. Who is the world again? By direct democracy the nations refusing to sanction Russia outnumber NATO and it’s Allies. China, India, Brazil, South Africa, Latin America, Cuba, Iran, UAE etc In conclusion: The unipolar world championed by America and it’s Allies can not guarantee fair and balanced world. We need these worlds powers at the opposing ends to checkmate themselves. That’s not to approve of conventional warfare, I believe war is immoral and only brings about wanton destruction of lives and property and Putin could have pursued other means to resolve these but again west was busy arming and training the right sector. And the west have no interest in diplomatic solution. They’re ready to sacrifice Ukraine as far it bleeds out Putin and that for me is worst. |
Oyiboman69:First, you need to purge yourself of your bias for the west. We have no business supporting the sanctions on Russia. For us to have a balanced and fair world we need these world powers at the opposing ends. The day America, China, and Russia becomes an ally then we’re all finished. Secondly, as a matter of foreign policy we should simply reciprocate how any country supports our interest. We shouldn’t pick sides because America or NATO said so. So there’s nothing to smell. I simply gave a run down of how they have supported decolonization in Africa which the West brought upon us Africans. |
This is the stand Africa should take as Russia has always backed India throughout in History. And for those still asking what has Africa benefited Russia supported decolonization efforts in Africa. Namely; Algeria: provided military, technical and material support to the National Liberation Front (NFN) to liberate Algeria from their French colonial masters during the Algeria Independence war and was the first country in the world to recognize the provisional Government of the Algerian Republic. Angola: Russia helped stopped the Apartheid South African government from encroaching into Angola. They trained their forces in both Namibia and Tanzania. Congo: Patrice Lumunba reached out to Russia for military assistance and they promptly responded by sending military advisors and munitions but the might of Belgian backed forces that had colonized Congo for decades was too much and Patrice Lumumba was later executed. One of the charismatic leaders Africa ever produced. Egypt: Russia supported Gamal Abdul Nasser administration and gave scholarships to young Egyptians and among them was a future president Hosni Mubarak Ethiopia: Helped Ethiopia regain its sovereignty after it was almost taken over by Somalia. The Somalia forces had completely taken over Ethiopia before Russia shipped in military hardwares and that was the end of the war Guinea: Russia supported anticolonial struggle in Guinea. Gave aids to their newly formed independent government South Africa: Russia was in the forefront of supporting the end to the apartheid regime. Funded the African National Congress. In summary: While the west colonized you and took away your resources, Russia supported decolonization and was applauded by Mandela. The West never made any sacrifices for Africans |
Nijagogetsense:Yes... It was part of the cold war. But Africa benefited from it. Every nation should have it's interest to protect. I have heard so many people ask what Africa has benefited from Russia and someone needed to state the obvious so we Africans can dig deeper and make an informed input on the current crisis. Mandela was a wise man and wasn't cut out to follow the dictates of the west. And I think that's the position we Africans need to take. The West kept demonizing Russia over human rights abuses while their Allies were running Apartheid regime in South Africa. |
Padipadi:You really don’t know your history. Russia supported decolonization efforts in Africa. Namely; Algeria: provided military, technical and material support to the National Liberation Front (NFN) to liberate Algeria from their French colonial masters during the Algeria Independence war and was the first country in the world to recognize the provisional Government of the Algerian Republic. He did well. Our defenders too came into the game smoking hot. In all, we should see off the Black stars of Ghana on Tuesday to secure the ticket to the mundial. |
Buliwyf:Today's capitalist economies are run on the backdrop of cheap supplies. If only you understood what this means. Energy supply is a material cost in every economy. Africa can't compete with Russia for European market cost wise. Alot of deals will be going on through the back door. Even after they announce a shift. Remember Russia supplies arms too. Russia is too big to be sidelined. The earlier they all find a diplomatic solution the better for everyone involved. |
Buliwyf:Shift to where? You guys don't understand how economies work. Replacing 50% of your energy supply is not even possible within 3years without sending the cost of your energy so high. Russia feeds Europe with cheap gas. Economies are just recovering from COVID-19 lock down. No economy is in a position to move away. Even UK with all their disdain for Putin will continue to buy until end of year which could be extended. Hunger and cold go kill Europeans. Make winter come first. It's in their best interest to have a diplomatic solution in Ukraine. |
What kind of pitch is this? Is it rocket science to have a decent pitch in Africa that can aid free flowing football? How did FIFA approve this pitch? |
ifeanyiclement:Lol... And they have been fighting internally in the Donbass region for 8years. Make them go retake Donbass region. Don't be deceived by the news. More than 5M Ukrainians already left last week. Na the Nazis elements in Ukraine they make noise. After this crisis watch and see what becomes of Ukraine |
ayindejimmy:Hahahaha. Do you know what fuels capitalism? Cheap supplies. That's why American companies relocated their factories to China, Vietnam, Philippines. Without cheap supplies to exploit capitalist economies dies. Russia have stopped food exportation and increased their food production. Russia stand a better chance to survive that the rest of European leeches. You can take it to the bank these same Europeans will buy Russian gas through the black market. And don't mistake NATO and their Allies as the world in general. In terms of population the countries backing Russia are more than NATO and it's western allies. If we decide not to import wheat again from Russia na we Africans hungry go deal with. |
joyandfaith:Do you know what brought about the arms struggle in the first place? The west backed the right sector with Nazis ideology to oust a democratically elected President because he was Pro Russian through protest. He rejected trade deals with the west and went with mother Russia. There's no world power that will watch his people being persecuted. And Yes if Oduduwa is a world power there's no way as a nation it won't intervene in Benin over it's people in port Novo. Same way as an American or Chinese you get easy passage anywhere in the world. And I disagree with the notion that Russians are occupier's. It has no basis in history. Over the last 500 years Russia has been invaded by the French, Swedes, Poles and German's twice. The problem Europeans have with Russia is because they have managed to secure their resources against them. And Russians know who their enemies are. Unlike we Africans. |

gambojimeta:[/s] |
gambojimeta:Lol... You're an ignorant fellow. To make assumptions you can't substantiate shows how shallow minded you're. If Europeans were rich according to you what brought them to Africa? And what necessitated the Berlin conference. Better go to Europe and worship them there because they gave you a job. Clown. And for your information Africans history didn't start with poverty. Ofcourse you're clueless. Europeans are your God. |
gambojimeta:You still don't get it do you? Western countries are the leech. Let them stay in their countries and see what happens to them. They use aids to try to offset their exploits all around the world. Just like America and UK offering Nigeria aids. All the crude oil stolen by their companies in Nigeria is more than 100X the aids they offer to us. |
joyandfaith:One way or another they will have to be recognised to end the current crisis. The Minsk Agreement tried to address that. Kiev's persecution of indigenous Russians has divided the country. Banning Russian language and culture is a war crime and Nazis move. I wonder why the world is blind to that. Ukraine is a horrible country and even after this war I don't see Ukraine surviving it's internal civil wars as the west continue arming and training the right sector with Nazis ideology. |
gambojimeta:Hahahaha... Europe is the poorest continent in the world. All they have is from Africa from their conquest. No continent need dead aids from Europe. If Africa grows the balls to take control of their resources Europe is screwed. That's why they have always tried to invade Russia because of it's rich resources |
Poland and Russia have always had a bad relationship. Let's see if they can afford to look away from Russian cheap gas. |
If you don't pay in rubbles you don't receive Russian gas. I don't think it's that difficult. Alternatively, you can decide to get else we're at 2 or 3x the price Russia offers. I don't see Europe surviving this. Their economy will take a serious hit. |
Is this a joke? |
iHart:It's easier to attack Russia from Europe than any other continent. Read history please. NATO's expansion is the real issue. And the stupid Zelensky push towards NATO. He had wanted to pursue nuclear program and at same time persecuting indigenous Russians in Ukraine to the extent of banning Russian language and mandating everyone to speak Ukraine. That was a Nazis more. Imagine Buhari demanding everyone should speak fulfulde. Putin was Pro west when he assumed office. If I have the power to save my people in another country I will. Kiev failed to find a political solution for the 8years war in Donbass region going against the Minsk Agreement. And if we're to go by your logic why did US sanction Cuba for allowing Soviet Union to put missiles. And mind you Cuba is still under the sanction till this day. They should have invaded Soviet Union since they share border. But they knew it was easier to do real damage from Cuba than from the mutual border. |
iHart:Most of you don't know Russian history and how an average Russian thinks. If Russians wanted Putin out he would have been out. There's an indirect democracy in Russia and most importantly, they know their enemies which is the west. Russia within the last 500years have been invaded by the French, Swedes, Poles and German's twice. No Russian will approve having NATO at their door step. Did you know that former Russian President Boris Yeltsin was Pro west? "Yeltsin’s pro-Western political platform stipulated that Gorbachev’s envisioned ‘Common European Home’ was only feasible by committing to liberal democracy, capitalism and unambiguous alignment with the West. Yeltsin (and Gorbachev) therefore repeatedly warned that NATO expansion would eliminate this entire political platform by repudiating ‘Greater Europe’ and marginalising Russia. As predicted, NATO expansion in March 1999 vindicated the opposition that had been warning the West would not embrace Moscow if it walked away from its empire, but would rather attempt to exploit and perpetuate Russia’s subsequent weakness" Yet NATO kept expanding towards Russia. Putin even applied to join NATO but that will leave NATO without an Enemy. This war was started by NATO. Russia's are not ignorant like Westerners and Africans. |
joyandfaith:Which economy is not manipulated? |
Let's see how this plays out. But it makes sense to checkmate the dollar. The Petrodollar economy has been devastating for oil rich countries. Oil trading should be paired with something more valuable like Gold or each oil producing country should demand for her own currency in exchange for her resources you will see real changes in local economies. Cut out dollar from transactions that make international transactions expensive. You change your local currency to dollars then change same dollars to the local currency of let's say China before you can carry out your transaction. Makes no sense. And the US continue to print as much bills as they need then you exchange your resources for bills only backed with a promise. It's insane |
Reflect7:The peace Europeans enjoy today was paid for by Africans. Before the Berlin conference Europeans where always at war with each other over resources. And they thought instead of fighting ourselves for resources let's go to Africa. |
