dolphinheart:If I wan't to know something, I don't ask jw, I ask Christians who can give me the proper answers from the unchanged Bible. |
dolphinheart:Talk about confusion @red, your feelings are right, I don't get into discussions with jw, I sometimes show up their wrongs, but you already know this I don't believe in trying to change unbelievers, it's like chatting with the devil. |
Jozzy4:Scriptures showing that Jesus is God, and to be worshipped and prayed too, are on topic I do realise you reject scriptures showing that Jesus is God, to be worshipped and prayed too Get with the real Jesus, if possible. |
Brown47:It's very clear and simple for a believer, Mary didn't give birth to God who has always existed Mary gave birth to the Son of God, a flesh human body His Spirit existed forever, it didn't grow inside Mary, Mary didn't give birth to God's Spirit, it was Jesus's flesh human body that grew inside Mary, Mary gave birth to the flesh human Jesus, not to the Eternal Spirit of God. edited to be clearer |
A Test: Do you have the True Jesus? by Matt Slick There is a simple way to see if someone has the true Jesus or not. By true Jesus, I mean the one of the Bible and not the one of Mormonism, who is the brother of the devil, nor the Jehovah's Witness Jesus, who is Michael the Archangel, and certainly not the one of the New Age Movement, who is simply a man in tune with the divine consciousness. The Jesus of the Bible is prayed to (Acts 7:55-60, Psalm 116:4 and Zech. 13:9 with 1 Cor. 1:1-2). The Jesus of the Bible is worshiped (Matt. 2:2, 11, 14:33; 28:9, John 9:35-38, Heb. 1:6). The Jesus of the Bible called God (John 20:28, Heb. 1:eight). In cult theologies, Jesus is a creation in one form or another (this is why the Jehovah's Witnesses add the word ‘other' four times to Col. 1:16-17). Therefore, He is not to be prayed to, worshipped, or called God. If you are a Christian, then you will be able to pray to Jesus--not just through. You will be able to worship Jesus equally with the Father, and you will be able to call Jesus your Lord and God. A cultist cannot do this. A cultist has a false Jesus, and, therefore, a false hope of salvation. Continue: https://carm.org/do-you-have-the-true-Jesus |
Jozzy4:see how joz has no understanding at all I did say it was for believers not for the blinded Johnw74: For believers |
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 1Jn 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. Deu_6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: Gal_3:20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one. God is one, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spiritis is one three persons, one God because some don't understand the scriptures, they don't believe the scriptures, and they have changed what the scriptures say. |
old2boy:I agree with you that God is not restricted by anything, but scripture shows that God and the Word are two persons the Word is a person who was with God in the beginning, before there was anything but God that person became Jesus Christ Pro 8:22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. Pro 8:23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. Pro 8:24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Pro 8:25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: Pro 8:26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. Pro 8:27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: Pro 8:28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep: Pro 8:29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: Pro 8:30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Gen 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. |
dolphinheart:Bingbagbo quoted scripture opposing yours and joz beliefs "God was manifest in the flesh" well I'm glad that's one scripture you are not going to change. 1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. |
For believers Jozzy4: ....do you now accept that Mary gave birth to God ?ha ha God existed before Mary, God has always existed Mary gave birth to the Son of God? to God's flesh-human body, but not to His Spirit, ummm to much for a blinded unbeliever though |
Jozzy4:Scared to answer joz, ha ha, I show unbelievers their wrongs, not help them, remember 2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. So God was manifest in flesh , hmmm ; do you now accept that Mary gave birth to God ?joz still cannot answer and changing the subject 2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. |
jw say the Holy Spirit is a force. gnostics and new agers also say that God is a force. God is Spirit, who would the Holy Spirit be? ummm, duh, could He be God |
dolphinheart:Thinking ahead is we? bingbagbo and I both know that Jesus Christ is God, he believes Jesus and the Father are the same person, I believe Jesus and the Father are two diffrent persons We are both right about Jesus being God @red, you have made up that babel @blue, I often don't answer jw confusion, who would? @green, of course persons believing that Jesus is God would support each other in that, what we differ on don't change what we agree on, how confused you are. You never answered bingbagbo: 1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. |
Jozzy4:I answered the lies that you said, and still yet again you change and twist around what you said. You and jw never answered bingbagbo 1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. |
Jozzy4:@red, you agree with their false doctrines and scripture changing, you are numbered in the same basket of false religion as they. When I post about the false religion of jw, I am posting about the false religion of Jozzy4. |
Jozzy4:The accuser of lying, lies yet again, I never said "no" to 1 Cor 1:6 I believe the verse entirely, and I never added " for us there is one God , the Father and son" to 1Cor 1:6 but speaking lies and changing what is said, adding too and taking away from, is speaking naturally for some You don't understand 1 Cor 1:6 it's impossible for unbelievers without the Holly Spirit to understand. |
Jozzy4:I showed my post was on topic but you still cannot be truthful and change the subject |
Jozzy4:The topic is not "God was WITH God . Two God" the topic is "God was WITH God" try being truthful stop adding to, and taking away from, and twisting what is true, what is said , and scriptures. You have been blinded and cannot see that these scriptures before being changed by jw are referring to Jesus being God. 8. John 17:5 "Glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you" changed to "glorify me alongside yourself with the glory that I had alongside you." The original text reflects the shared deity of God the Father and Jesus before the creation of the world, but the revision suggests different natures as implied by different states of glory. 9. John 17:21 "Are in me" changed to "are in union with me." The original statement by Jesus indicates his shared deity with the Father. The revision undermines this by suggesting a greater separation between them. 10. Acts 10:36 "Lord of all" changed to "Lord of all [others]." The revision suggests that even though Jesus is highly honored, he is still one among many of God's created beings. (Similar revisions found in Rom. 8:32; Phil. 2:9; Col. 1: 16-17.) 11. Acts 20:28 They change "God purchased the church with His own blood" to God purchased the church with the blood of His son" Acts 20 above, tells how God Himself died for us, how awesome is that, and Christians know and believe it, unbelievers change the verse to say other, how evil is that. |
1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. the Father, of whom are all things Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one. 1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord (kurios), but by the Holy Ghost. kurios: supreme in authority, God. No man can say Jesus Christ is Lord-God, but by the Holy Ghost. |
More Jehovah's Witnesses changed Scriptures 7. John 14:17 "Beholds him or knows him" changed to "beholds it or knows it." The revision ignores the context of the pronoun with the Comforter role in the preceding verse to deny the personality of the Holy Spirit. 9. Acts 20:28 They change "God purchased the church with His own blood" to God purchased the church with the blood of His son" Wrath and indignation will come to every Jw from the Governing Body, who even suggests God purchased the church with His own blood... the blood of Jesus... who is God! http://www.bible.ca/Jw-NWT.htm You can see just how evil the Jehovah's Witnesses Orginisation is, by how they change God's inspired word. |

Jozzy4:@ red, As well as jw twisting the scriptures, they also ofcourse twist what people say as many point out My sentence: "We know from scriptures that God is One, if we don't understand that we will at least believe it," Jozzy4 again twists and implies another meaning: "So what exactly is there that you dont understand ?" With jw it's not about Truth, but about winning points in their own minds, and by any means, to make them feel better. |
Does the Watchtower say the Bible teaches the Trinity? by Matt Slick The Watchtower organization claims to be the Faithful and Discreet Slave spoken of in Matthew 24:45. "We all need help to understand the Bible, and we cannot find the Scriptural guidance we need outside the 'faithful and discreet slave' organization," (Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1981). (See the quote in context). "All who want to understand the Bible should appreciate that the 'greatly diversified wisdom of God' can become known only through Jehovah's channel of communication, the faithful and discreet slave," (Watchtower, Oct. 1, 1994, p. eight). This Watchtower organization, the faithful and discreet slave, claims to be the means by which God communicates His truth to us in this world. Therefore, by deduction what the Watchtower says is truth. Alright, let's take a look at one quote from the Watchtower. "From time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of Jehovah's people those, who, like the original Satan, have adopted an independent, faultfinding attitude . . . They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such 'Bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago . . . ," (Watchtower, Aug. 15, 1981, p. 29). (See the quote in context). The Watchtower says that the Trinity, the deity of Christ, and the physical resurrection of Christ are all false doctrines. Yet, the Watchtower says that if you read the Bible by itself, you will end up believing these doctrines. In other words, if you read the Bible by itself, then you will become a Trinitarian--believe that Jesus is God and believe that Jesus rose from the dead physically. Why is that? Could it be because the Bible teaches these things? So I ask the Jehovah's Witnesses, what is it in the Bible that would lead someone to this conclusion? Again, what is in the Bible that reading it by itself would lead you to believe in the Trinity, the deity of Christ, and His physical resurrection? This quote from the Watchtower is proof that it is teaching contrary to the natural reading of the Bible and that it is controlling the beliefs of those who follow it. Jozzy4:Jozzy4 has misquoted John 1:1 The Bible say's John 1:1 .... the Word was with God .... (which is two persons who are God, not two god's) the verse goes on to say that the Word is God. jw changes what the Bible say's to try and suit their false doctrines, although the penalty for doing that is great. Deu 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Look at changes Jehovah's Witnesses have made to the Bible Just some 1. John 1:1 "Word was God" changed to "Word was a god." The JWs reject the orthodox Christian belief in the deity of Jesus. The revision asserts that Jesus was someone other than God Himself. 2. Genesis 1:2 "Spirit of God" changed to "God's active force." The revision modifies the original noun with a more impersonal form as the JWs reject the orthodox Christian belief in the personality of the Holy Spirit. 3. Exodus 3:14 "I am" changed to "I shall prove to be." The revision clouds the connection between God's self proclaimed title and Jesus' proclamation of being the same in John 8:58, as the JW rejects the deity of Jesus. 4. Luke 23:43 'Today you will be with me" changed to "I tell you today, You will be with me." Jesus assured the thief on the cross that their spirits would soon enter the spiritual/heavenly realm together. As the JWs reject the belief in the conscious survival of the human spirit after death, their revision suggests that "today" deals with the time of the statement rather than the relocation of their spirits. 5. John 1:12 "Believe" changed to "exercise faith." The orthodox Christian doctrine of spiritual justification and rebirth before God by belief in Jesus is in conflict with the JW doctrine of salvation by works (i.e., obedience to their organization). The revision attempts to describe salvation as a continuous process rather than a radical encounter and transition (Same revision found in John 3:16, 18; 6:29; Rom. 4:3, 10:4, 9, 10.) 6. John 14:14 "IF YOU ask [me] anything in my name, I will do it." "me" is omitted to deny the fact we pray to Jesus. John 14:14 should also be mentioned. In the NWT this reads; "IF YOU ask anything in my name, I will do it." The Greek text in the KIT, however, has ME after ask, so that it should be translated; "If you ask ME anything in my name, I will do it." It is true that some later Greek manuscripts omitted this word, but most of the earlier ones include it, and most modern editions of the Greek NT include it. At the very least, the NWT ought to have mentioned this in a note! http://www.bible.ca/Jw-NWT.htm |
Jozzy4:@red, The thread starts with a lie, a changing of God's inspired word. Whereas the Word is God, the verse doesn't say what was posted, it should say: Joh 1:1 .... the Word was with God .... The verse does not talk about two god's but two persons, God and the Word, who are God. But the OP also keeps saying two god's where the verse says God (single). We know from scriptures that God is One, if we don't understand that we will at least believe it, believe the scriptures, if we are Christians. Just like you and your father are human, the Word and the Father is God. There are many people (they are human) John 1 talks off two persons (that are God) God and the Word is God just like the verse says, if you don't understand it and are Christian, then at least you will believe it. Don't be deceived by jw changing bible verses and words. |

Emusan:This Greber 'coverup' is disgusting, Isn't it? http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/129299/this-greber-coverup-disgusting-isnt?page=3 No wonder the Bible describes false christianity as Har-lot Babylon or the whor-e the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit |
BUMP What do we know about Jesus? Jesus always was: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. (John 1:1) This verse is so important, It tells us that the Word, which is Jesus, always existed. It tells us that the Word, which is Jesus, is God. If your Bible changes any word or adds anything in these verses then you are reading a Bible written by Satan! throw it out and leave the religion that wrote that Bible! Be very careful! New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures is the Bible of the Jehovah's Witnesses. It is written by the New World Bible translation Committee and published by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York Inc. That have made many errors with their publications. They changed many, many verses to comply with their false teachings. Emusan:It is very easy to see the spirit that inspires jw, that is why not many reply to them. |
Jozzy4:You must mean Jesus, He is praying to the Father. You don't understand anything told you, and you cannot without the Spirit, and you disbelieve and question the Bible verses posted. |
Christians agree with the Bible that Jesus-the Word is God, jw agree with the pharacees that Jesus-the Word is not God. Isa 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Isa. Jehovah made all things Col. Jesus-the Word made all things Jehovah said He made all things alone, showing that Jehovah and Jesus-the word is God Jehovah said He made all things by Himself showing that Jehovah and Jesus-the Word is God |
