Salewa97: Nigerian authorities have arrested a drug baron, who escaped arrest for unlawful importation of 5.250kg of heroin concealed in books from Pakistani city of Karachi to Lagos since June 2010.
Chidi Olife’s arrest in Lagos by the Joint Task Force Operation Unit of Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agent (NDLEA) came just as operatives of the drug agency in Adamawa State apprehended an illicit drug dealer, Rabiu Imam, on Friday with Tramadal tablet 225mg weighing 45.4kg and estimated at over N50 million.
A statement by the agency on Saturday said Olife was arrested “following vital intelligence on the drug source, flight details, date and place of arrival, weight and mode of concealment, name, phone number and address of the recipient of the consignment and a planned controlled delivery operation coordinated by the Commander NDLEA’s JTF, Adeniyi Olumuyiwa.”

bmcariyo: You loaned your friend N4,000,000 last year and since then, he has refused to pay back, which has really deteriorated the friendship.
You beg him to just pay you N2,000,000 and forget the rest because you are in a financial crisis. Your friend then says he can only get you N1,500,000 since that's all he has.
You feel like you have no option but to accept. You eventually give him your account details to send the amount directly to your bank.
You wake up the next morning, checked your account and there is N15,000,000 in it. You kept staring at the screen in disbelief but it is indeed 15m.
You grab your phone and find 53 missed calls from him and an additional 27 text messages begging you to transfer back N13,500,000 since he only meant to send N1,500,000 and mistakenly added an extra "0."
As a well-brought-up person, what are you supposed to do?
1. Send back N13,500,000/=? 2. Take your full N4,000,000/=? 3. Keep the entire N15,000,000/=? 4...... 5...
#FoodForThought will definitely take my full 4mlm Also tell him that cos of the loan you get from bank, bank already deducted their money which is 3mlm. All in All 7mlm since your friend is already M. Lia |

vegafbs: The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has on Saturday, said that the Federal Government will never pay a ransom to secure the release of the abducted students and members of staff of Government Science College, Kagara, Niger State.
Recall that the Nigerian government has been accused of paying a humongous amount to secure the release of kidnap victims. The most recent is the Kankara boys' kidnap where some argued government offer huge money as ransom to criminals.
The Information Minister, Lai Mohammed made this known during an interview on Channels Television's Sunrise Daily’.
Mohammed said that the Federal Government was only out to employ kinetic and non-kinetic (measures) to secure the release of the kidnapped victims. He maintains government will not pay ransom to kidnappers.
He further revealed that the government won’t tolerate any form of criminality in the country.
“Bandits all over the world work with the psychology of people. Deliberately, they target women and children because this is what will attract a lot of global outcries.
“Criminality in any form will not be tolerated by the government. At the same time, the government has a duty to look at the underlining causes of some of these criminalities in order to address them.
“Also, the government won’t be paying ransom to secure their release. All I can tell you is that, as of today, the government is on top of the matter. We are mapping out other roots that can be used to ensure they come back safely,” he said.

Family › Re: How You Can Help Your Kids Memorize Your Phone Number by joinnow: 8:40pm On Feb 19, 2021 |
trippin365blog: Apart from the academic skills that a child needs to learn at different stages, it is equally important for them to learn basic life skills. One of such skill is memorizing their parent’s phone numbers.
When I hear the report of any missing child, I often ask this question: Does he/she know their parent’s phone number in their heads?
It is an unimaginable feeling to know that a child is out there in an unknown destination and does not know the phone number of either parent or anyone to contact. It is as scary as it sounds. While we constantly pray that it doesn’t get to our doorstep, it is crucial to teach kids how to memorize their parent’s phone numbers in case of any emergencies or unfortunate situation.
But come to think of it, who memorizes phone numbers these days when you can just press a button on the screen to search the name label of who you want to call?
With so many distractions online and offline these days, and so much stuff to learn and do, getting kids to memorize these phone numbers is no easy task for parents. But with these simple hacks, parents can get their kids to memorize the phone numbers easily and quickly.
1. One way is to identify their favourite nursery rhyme or song, and just replace the tune or letters with the phone number and who it belongs to, either mum or dad. That way they can easily know whose number it is.
The popular Mickey Mouse song theme “M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E” loved by most kids was used by Jen Rice as shared on her blog playdough to plato. The letters were replaced with her phone number like this: “8-0-0-2-6-3-1-2-3-4-Mom”. This way, the numbers will stick in their heads after some practice and anytime they listen to the song, it’s the numbers they will remember.
Yes, I know that having sharp memory skills is not something one is born with. But these skills will develop and improve the more they are used. Practice they say, makes perfect.
2. Another way is to make or change the password of their devices to your phone number. You will have to switch to a custom numeric code from the passcode settings. This will enable you use up to the number of digits required.
Kids these days, are glued to their devices. From the loads of online learning and assignments to games and videos they watch and play online, you’ll be amazed at how quickly they will master these phone numbers.
It is indeed a very comforting feeling for most parents knowing that their kids, even at very young age can get in touch with them should they ever get separated or in case of any emergencies.
Please share in the comments below if you have any techniques that has helped your kids learn your phone numbers.
https://trippin365blog..com/2021/02/how-you-can-help-your-kids-memorize.html one way is to break it down eg 803-601-7804 then you can paste it on the fridge and in their room let them recite each morning and evening in 7 days they will know it offhand another way is by associating each figure to something above number can be 8orange3 6orange1 78orange4 |

nairalandankrah: All States must have Ruga – Matawalle says after chat with Buhari..
He spoke to reporters after a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Matawalle said a presidential intervention was underway “to sustain the peace Zamfara is now enjoying’’.
He added that solution to the recurring violence between farmers and herders “was ruga”.
“All state governments must brace up and construct grazing grounds, popularly called Ruga, so as to find a lasting solution to clashes between herdsmen and farmers across the country,” he said.
Matawalle expressed confidence that the provision of the grazing grounds will discourage herdsmen’s desire for relocation.
“In Zamfara, we are constructing Ruga for them. If we allow them to keep moving around, migrating from one State to another, we cannot bring this issue to an end,” he stated.
NGF Chairman and Ekiti Governor, Kayode Fayemi, briefed State House correspondents after an emergency meeting at the State House Banquet Hall.
Fayemi said the governors reviewed farmers/herders conflict, banditry, kidnapping, militancy, sea piracy, cultism, youth protests, insurgency, among others.
He said the NGF condemned ethnic profiling of crime and criminality in the country.
Fayemi disclosed that governors restated commitment to the protection of lives and property and sympathize with those who are bereaved.
“The Governors Forum has gone ahead also to provide some financial support to victims of the conflict experienced in Oyo and Ogun States where our delegation visited last week.
“Nigerian governors also said in very clear terms, that crime and criminality should comprehensively be prosecuted wherever they may occur without ethnic, religious or any other colouration.
“Governors are totally opposed to ethnic profiling of crime; knowing what has transpired in other parts of the world,’’ he said.
On the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP), the forum agreed that the traditional method of grazing was no longer viable.
The meeting also reviewed the challenge of resources for Nigeria’s military institutions.
Fayemi added that the NGF welcomed the appointment of new service chiefs and would fully support them.
Zamfara Governor, Bello Matawalle said he advised his Niger counterpart, Abubakar Bello, to negotiate with the terrorists.
Matawalle insisted negotiation was not a sign of weakness but part of peace efforts because he realised not all bandits were terrorists.
He made the remark after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House on Wednesday.
Matawalle told reporters that he inherited banditry from the previous administration in Zamfara.
“It had been there for almost eight years before I came. Following the dialogue I initiated with the bandits, Zamfara is now very calm”, NAN quoted him as saying.
“I have advised the Governor of Niger to meet with all stakeholders and find out the root cause of the crisis so as to initiate dialogue and ensure reconciliation. That is the only way to achieve what I have been able to achieve in my State.
He disclosed that the governor was following steps for peace, adding that there shall be an end to the clashes soon.
Staff, students and family members of the Government Secondary School, Kagara in Niger, were kidnapped late Tuesday.
The federal government said there are political and military options on the table.
