The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to make a way for the Republic of Biafra so that there can be peace in the country.

Armed gangs suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have been wreaking havoc across the South East region.

Daily Trust reports that while receiving the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Yakubu Mahmood, and electoral commissioners at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday, Buhari said those attacking INEC facilities in the South East will be ‘treated in the language they understand’.

However, the president’s comments have been widely criticised, with microblogging and social networking service, Twitter, deleting a portion of the tweets posted on his verified handle @MBuhari.

Reacting to the comments and tweets, the CNG in a statement by its spokesman, Abdul-Azeez Sulaiman, said the presidential tweet merely amounts to admission of failure and loss of capacity.

The CNG described the president’s comment on criminal gangs that kill, maim and displace tens of thousands of citizens as a clear indictment on the administration and abdication of Buhari’s primary responsibility of securing the lives and properties of Nigerians.

“We find it ridiculous that most parts of the President’s tweet concentrated more attention to infrastructure than on the lives of citizens that are wasted daily with virtually no response from the authorities.

“The President’s revelation that most of those involved in the current agitation for secession are those who have not witnessed the 1967 civil war is a vindication of our position that the only reasonable option to ensure a more secure future is for the Igbo to be allowed to have their wish for a Biafran nation.

“The fact that the strength of the Igbo agitation rests on youth who are mainly below the ages of 50, with diseased mindset, encouraged by their political, cultural and religious leaders to take up arms against the Nigerian state and Northerners, has rendered the nation’s unity negotiable.

“It is therefore unreasonable for those older Nigerians who are mostly above 70 to insist that the unity of Nigeria is sacrosanct whereas the people executing the dangerous Southeast secession agenda are almost entirely below 50.

“It is time for the Nigerian state and all stakeholders to wake to the reality that the only remaining option to avoid a civil war is for the Igbo to be allowed to have the Biafra they have used intermittently for decades to destabilize the nation and deny peace to other components of the country,” Sulaiman said in the statement.

The group urged the people of the North in any part of the country to remain calm and resolute, with the assurance that they are taking steps to ensure the actualization of Biafra so the rest of the country would know peace.

“We hereby make allowance of the next 30 days to see how Buhari would make true his threat to deal with insurgency, banditry and above all, the greater threat posed by IPOB or how he will handle the entire Igbo leadership that openly back and embolden them,” he said.

In late part of 2018 My teeth (premolar) got broke.
Although I did not felt any pain but sometimes If I drink a cold water I use to feel a shocking moment in the broken teeth.
This year 2021 There was this day I was eating rice (salty rice) and the salt got inside the broken teeth and there was this pain I felt, my left eye began to close and my head was in a serious pain.
In the process struggling with the pain.I used hand and shake my teeth and now my broken teeth is shaking.
Can some please tell me a local way to remove the teeth, I am in pains I can't eat well.

The strapping of the National Youth Service Corps scheme by House of Representatives is in the process of discontinuation.

The NYSC Act, is billed for the second reading by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Alteration Bill, 2020, which is seeking to invalidate it.

Mr Awaji-Inombek Abiante, the sponsor of the bill noted the various reasons why the NYSC should be scrapped in a memorandum of the proposal.

It read in part, “This bill seeks to repeal Section 315(5)(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, (as amended) on the following grounds:

“Incessant killing of innocent corps members in some parts of the country due to banditry, religious extremism and ethnic violence; incessant kidnapping of innocent corps members across the country;

“Public and private agencies/departments are no longer recruiting able and qualified Nigerian youths, thus relying heavily on the availability of corps members who are not being well remunerated and get discarded with impunity at the end of their service year without any hope of being gainfully employed;

“Due to insecurity across the country, the National Youth Service Corps management now gives considerations to posting corps members to their geopolitical zone, thus defeating one of the objectives of setting up the service corps, i.e. developing common ties among the Nigerian youths and promote national unity and integration.”

NYSC was established on May 22, 1973, under Decree No. 24 of 1973 for reconciliation and reintegration of Nigerians after the civil war between July 6, 1967 and January 15, 1970 during which millions of people died.

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Nigerian umbrella group of nomadic herders, has characterized the state governors' ban on open grazing in Southern Nigeria as a declaration of war on herders.

The prohibition, according to the party, is also an empty policy.

Last Tuesday, seventeen Southern governors met in Asaba, Delta State, to discuss a number of issues, including banning open grazing of cattle in the region, which they blame for causing insecurity.

Alhassan also said that if the Southern governors interfered with the nomadic herders' daily business, the community would take legal action against them.

" If you interfere with our legitimate business, we will sue you in court. " We have cultural ways of dealing with inequality as well, " he said.

Many Nigerians took to Twitter over the weekend to criticize former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, accusing him of remaining silent over the Communications and Digital Economy Minister, Pantami, who was implicated in a video leak linking him to Islamic fundamentalism, but who found his voice after the southern governors' meeting and 12 point resolutions in Asaba, Delta State, last week.

Several Nigerians took to social media to criticize the former vice president and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential nominee in 2019.

" So Atiku can choose not to speak on Pantami but he can speak on the Southern Governors meeting to protect the interests of the people who elected them, " one of the former VP' s critics wrote. It' s a pity. "

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has sacked all nurses below grade level 14 in the state for embarking on strike in solidarity with the Nigeria Labour Congress.

The governor directed the Ministry of Health in the state to immediately advertise vacancies for the replacement of the dismissed nurses.

Kaduna State has been grounded in the last 48 hours as aviation workers, bank workers, rail workers, electricity workers, health workers, teachers, amongst others, down tools in protest against the alleged injustice of the El-Rufai-led government and the mass sacking of over 60,000 civil servants.

However, the governor in a statement on Tuesday titled, ‘KDSG will not tolerate criminal acts disguised as industrial action’, described the action of the NLC as a “campaign of economic and social sabotage and lawlessness”.

In the statement signed by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Muyiwa Adekeye, El-Rufai warned that any worker not found in his or her place of assignment would be dismissed.

“Reports from Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital disclosed that some identified nurses disconnected the oxygen supply of a two-day old baby in an incubator on Monday, 17th May 2021. The names of the three nurses from the Special Baby Care Unit who were involved in this despicable act have been forwarded to the Ministry of Justice to initiate prosecution for attempted murder or murder in the event we lose the baby.”


The statement added, “The Ministry of Health will dismiss all nurses below GL 14 for going on an unlawful strike. Salaries that could have gone to them are to be given as extraordinary occupational allowances to the health workers who are at their duty posts to fill the gap of those absconding from duty. The Ministry of Health has been directed to advertise vacancies for the immediate recruitment of new nurses to replace those dismissed.

“Any academic staff of KASU (Kaduna State University) that does not report for work will be dismissed. The authorities of KASU are to submit a copy of the attendance register for all categories of staff daily to the Secretary to the State Governemnt and the Commissioner of Education.

“All MDAs are also to submit daily copies of attendance register to the Head of Service.”
