I'm going to visit one of my uncle this coming week in benin republic and I don't want to go empty handed. He has two children( a 10 year old boy and a 3 year old girl). Mary Daniel Onu, the young amputee lady who went viral after photos of her hawking water despite her condition was shared online, has totally transformed and now looks unrecognizable in new photos, IgbereTV reports.

Mary was said to have survived an accident in 2006 that killed everyone in the bus, including her parents. Mary, who dropped out of secondary school in JSS3, had to live from hand-to-mouth, and hawk sachet water on the streets of Lagos.

However, help came her way the day she was photographed, and the picture went viral on social media. Well-meaning Nigerians sympathized with her, and a crowd funding effort raised up to 15 Million Naira for her. Obviously, the money is being put to good use as she’s been totally transformed in recent photos.

Good evening to you all nairalanders. Please I need your advice on this. I went to an ATM stand belonging to stanbic bank in shoprite lugbe axis of abuja to make some withdraw of 20k and the cash was retracted back into the machine after it came out of which I have already gotten a debit alert of 20k from my bank. I then went to bank(ecobank) to table the incident and I was giving a form to fill of I was asked to back after ten working days. I went back after the ten working days and the woman I submitted the form to was telling me that ATM are not designed to retract cash bla bla bla. She now said she will send email to the head office of stanbic bank. She sent the message and after the message she asked me to go that when its resolved they will send my money back. Its almost a month now and I have not gotten my money back and am really confused now on what to do

To cut a long story short, I bought the land at Ifo, Ogun State. I have the family receipt, and the deed of assignment. After hustling to build the structure, it now remains roofing and finishing.

However, I heard today from the family representative that a son of the land seller wants to demolish it to build a church. I'm also a christian, but this is quite surprising.

Once again, I only have the land receipt and deed of assignment. Also, I have spent over 2million naira on the structure.

What should I do to be on the safer side?

The Kogi State Government last year spent N90 million on software that the developers now offer for only N300,000. The software, approved by a COVID-19 sceptic, Governor Yahaya Bello, was for tracking coronavirus cases in the state. However, the software is no longer functioning as the developers said they had a contract to host it for only one year.

At a time Nigeria had just recorded over 6,000 cases of COVID-19, the Kogi State Government announced it had developed a software, which is basically for risk assessment.

The state government said the software, which comes in a mobile application and website, was one of its measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 in Kogi.

The software uses the checklist of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for suspected and high-risk cases to evaluate users.

Financial records obtained by PREMIUM TIMES revealed that the state government procured the software at a cost of N90,720,000.

But checks by our reporter showed that the same software now costs only N300,000 from the same company that developed it for the state government.

An official of the state also admitted that the government actually spent less than a million naira for the project and could not defend the N90.7 million announced expenditure; an indication the declared price was excessively inflated.

Kogi and COVID-19
As of March 2020, when Nigeria had about 6,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19, Kogi and Cross River were the only two states in the country with a zero-case status.

The NCDC had raised an alarm then that the two states were not conducting tests for the virus. For instance, in Kogi, officials deployed by the federal health agency were denied cooperation and controversially sent back.

Asked why Kogi was not conducting tests, Governor Bello, during an interview on Channels TV, said the state had developed a special app to track possible cases of coronavirus infection.
