I'm weary of the poor ones than the rich, throw a little bread to some of 'em or give them a shot at making a huge dough and you'd see most of 'em show the stuff they are made of.

A country of numerous resources has become a labyrinth of misfortunes. Governed by the worst of leaders who have weaponized poverty for their selfish interest—that is, when patriotic Nigerians rise to question, and fight, the government, their opponent would be fellow poor Nigerians, fighting tooth and nail for the same politicians who have kept them so.
Regrettably, some folks on this thread are a living testimony of the above. |

I say thank you sir for this sweet journey, it was worth it and until when next you spare another episode (perhaps), the feets that marched out of Katakata street who have found a place on Nairaland will come back for one last dance.

DrDoc: There must be cash fluidity and almost immediate access to cash for business to succeed. Never spend more than 20% of your cash on any adventure. But there are also levels. If he entire risks are spelt out and can be managed to up to 90%, then one can invest all in all. But this level of mastery is only for people 10-15+ years of a business necause they would have understood the terrain, the business dynamics and how to manage the shocks and instabilities and still reach the finishing line. All these knowledge i am sharing took me tons of loses and over twenty years to gather experience o. I lost tire in business till i got awakened to be bettter No lies, truth be told I'm still holding back when it comes to 'business' particularly the one that bothers on investment and I don't have enough know how. But bad as it may be, Rudyard (an English poet) once said and I quote, 'If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss: If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' This lines have pushed me to where I'm here right now and it keeps getting better. I'm glad you let a boy like me pick important lessons in the course of your discussion with me over here. Big thanks and I pray you grow bigger. |

DrDoc: Says who ?
I have been doing businesses since 10 years plus and i have results. Risk assessment and risk exposure management means that if you have 25 Million cash you do not i vest more than 2.5 Million in a business because the reason 90% of businesses fail is acess to liquid cash to propragate the business to the finishing line. Pls brother. Learnt that harsh lessons when I toss my life savings into the idea of 'business' as shared by one of my mentors in the writing world, I got burnt and the rest is history. |

CapitalBank: the person that will scam me of that kind of money, dem never born am.
I have more than enough ideas to last me on earth that does not require me to depend on someone.
I am also against giving someone my money to invest for me. Why? Since I was child till my adulthood, I have seen how that is the easy way a lot of Nigerians lose their hard earned money… Your last line brought back teary memories, I rather sweat it out for my bucks than toss it to someone to help me invest in some businesses and I owe no one apology for doing that. Concerning your question and in line with similar answers from the greenhorns in the architectural/construction/costing world, 25M is enough to get a decent bungalow. Best of luck, man. |

Families are being broken and divorce rate is alarming. All because both spouse are working and not bonding. Children go into the world with perverse thought. Godfullsam: All the new banks that sprang up in the last 3/4 years till date should be thoroughly investigated.
Those banks were acquired by CBN officials with ill gotten wealth by proxy.
I sincerely hope the investigator will be allowed to beam his search light in the direction of those managing NNPC. After he is done with Emiefele, Kyari should be next.
A lot of corruption in the oil sectors too. The question on most people mind is there any sector that's corrupt free in Nigeria? lexy2014: which FG do you want to "get to the root of the matter and do the needful"? I'm perplexed too, it's a game of musical chairs. |
