Go and tell that to a Frenchman that calls Peter Pierre or the Spaniard that calls it Pedro.
Our lingo has no "c" letter so forgive me for the name changes in translation. The only thing I'd not forgive here is you telling lies and twisting out facts to suit your idiosyncrasies! angry
Mr man go and re-read your history. Your Lingo does not have "c" does your lingo also replace "j" with "ch" and "b" with "p".

And no one is talking about speech here we are talking about spelling.

Do you read what you wrote. 138miles from Lagos was where Victor banjo's army met with MM. Tell me is Onitsha 138miles from lagos? I doubt you even know where Ore is.

Why has Abagana or whatever you call it never been mentioned in any history of the war but Ore was mentioned. If it was the bloodiest like you claim do you think historians would've ignored it.

Mr man Oleku Ija Ore was even used to write a book to show how strategic the battle was.

Kwusi itu asi biko! angry
The bloodiest battle of that war was the battle of Abagana, which sealed muritala Muhammad's fate in the war! After the battle, Gowon had no choice but to retire MM from the war.
Another one were the battles of Onitsha..infact Abagana was a direct sequelae of the Onitsha battles.
The worst mistake Ojukwu did was to put Viktor Pancho in charge of the invading force..Pancho paid back that trust by betraying the invading army to the Nigerians who then stopped them at Ore.that was why Ojukwu executed Pancho and his collaborators. If it was the Anioma officer, Nwawo as originally planned, Lagos would've been captured and Gowon forced to flee to Kaduna/Zaria as he was then advised.
Igbos know better than trust yolobas..that's why we agitate for secession kos good fences make good neighbors
The fact that you called Victor Banjo, Viktor Pancho shows the credibility of your source. Go and re read your history well.

Education › Education Will Now Be Compulsory In Sokoto State & Parents Who Fail...-Tambuwal by jomoh(op):
The government of Sokoto will soon make education compulsory in the state with punishment attached to non-compliant parents.

The decision was made public by the state governor, Aminu Tambuwal, who has right now forwarded a bill in that regard to the Sokoto State House of Assembly.

According to governor Tambuwal, the new bill to be passed into law is aimed at boosting school enrollment and providing quality education to every child as required by local and international laws. As part of measures to enhance implementation of the new policy, the Sokoto government says it will build and equip 240 primary and tertiary healthcare centres in the three senatorial zones of the state.

Mr. Tambuwal while addressing various religious, traditional and political leaders from all 11 local government areas of the state who paid him a sallah visit in Sokoto on Moday, said the policy is necessary in view of the high percentage of parents who deliberately frustrate government efforts to educate children.

He said the state government has already made adequate arrangement to cater for the educational needs of its citizens, adding that anyone caught flouting the new regulation will not be spared. The governor also noted that the founders of Sokoto Caliphate made their marks in the areas of education and scholarships, as such, there’s no excuse if their successors failed to provide at least basic education to the future generation.

According to him, if the state gets its education priorities right, many ills of the society will be taken care of. While appealing to his visitors to support the new initiative, Mr. Tambuwal said vocational training centres and employment opportunities will be created to cater for the youth and other vulnerable members of the society.

The war... The war.... The war.....! I see clearly that the reason for... this hatred cannot be explained without mentioning the war. Before the leaders of the yorubas and igbos engaged their children into the war, for the sake of values that is worth nothing compared to the lives in their children, they knew clearly that it was going to involve things very special. Especially the lives and properties of their children. They even knew it was going to breed more hatred in the future, and cause even more loss, in the lives of their children in the future, yet they cared less. **in a way, you can say they were trying to protect more, for what they called their children**. But what's the essence of the purpose, when the more and your approach to protect, is extinguishing what you are protecting it for. Well how ever Before my eyes, its clear, the past is trying to use the present, to ruin the future...
@bold get it right Yorubas never went to war against the Igbos. The Yorubas were leading the Nigerian Army against the Biafran army because it is only Natural for a yoruba man to lead the war when the biafrans were trying to take over parts of Western Nigeria (Yoruba Lands) eg Delta, Edo and Ondo(Ore) States.

Yorubas never went to war against the Igbos. They the Igbos took the war to the Yorubas and they got their a$$e$ whooped.

Can you see what I mean in the bold letters in the comment above and my comment below. FYI the comment above is from another thread entirely.

Honestly if you look at it critically it is the Igbos' insecurity that seem to be the main reason.

The Igbos seem not to like virtually anybody, not even themselves. FACT

They call the Yorubas betrayer. Probably because it was mainly the Yorubas that lead the civil war and defeated them both on(Alabi Isama, Benjamin Adekunle aka scorpion among others) and off the battle field(Obafemi Awolowo advised the FG to change Nigeria's currency and stop sending foods to the east). Even the Ore battle(the bloodiest battle of the whole war) was lead by a Yoruba guy from the Biafran side. He was later killed by Ojukwu himself. Claiming he betrayed him.

They call the Hausas Slaves because they seem contented doing menial jobs and also for their born to rule mentality.

At a point immediately after the civil war they quarrelled with the SS people for taking over the properties they left behind while on the run. They only made friends with the SS because they thought they can go together with the SS.

The FACT is that the Igbo people don't trust anyone. They are not just wired to function in an organised environment or with a constituted authority and when they don't succeed in such environment, they look for who to blame thinking it because they are IGBO.

Commercial Pilot? So that they can start kidnapping our aeroplanes with over 100people on board.

Believe me, even my very good friends from these two tribes. Are very educated, loving and caring. But I don't understand why it just snaps, when it comes to themselves. There is got to be a reason why. This reason must be so meaningful and strong to make people of this admirable nature to other people, to change and act with this much hate when they see themselves... So I don't think its and issue of literacy or education. I also refuse to think its religion.

Questions you've not answered -
1, Is it a crime for Jim Ovia to be present where Buhari is addressing foreign businessmen.
2, Was Jim Ovia previously booked to be in the guest list for the event by the event organisers?
3, What will Buhari tell Americans that is not good for Nigerian ears?
4, Even if Emefiele brought in Jim Ovia to the event, is there any law that says he can't do so except that Buhari said so?
5, This is a democracy & not a millitary dictatorship were one man's word becomes a law that everyone must scramble to obey.
6, Is Jim Ovia the only Nigerian businessman there?
Mr man stop disgracing yourself. You're just trying to justify impunity which is what destroyed GEJ"s administration.

Irrespective of whatever is wrong with PMB's motive for the directive, yet, a directive is a directive and the fact that someone flouted it is gross insurbodination which is informed by Impunity that Emefiele's experienced and inherited under GEJ.

So because we are not in Military regime people can now act anyhow? Just read what you wrote again an judge yourself.

Before you can be a good leader, you have to be a good follower. How can Emefiele be a good CBN leader if he cannot follow a simple order by his boss.

Honestly I don't mean you should not voice your opinion. No doubt you have the right to it. But I was actually expecting an average Nigerian to atleast be optimistic even if the news seems sketchy instead of just writing off every news as propaganda. I was not trying to force your opinion down your throat.

I was only trying to be a patriotic Nigerian devoid of Party, Religious and Ethnic sentiment. This I believe is the duty of every Nigerian even if you don't agree with the government or their ways just show a little optimism and be positive.

On the issue of Family. I never actually meant it as an insult. I actually taught you will see the funny side of it cos It was more of a joke than something serious but if you feel offended or it actually caught you on the wrong side, I then I have to apologise. Sincerely.

Hope I can be forgiven. I didn't mean to insult a lady. ***winks***

Hmm, well Nothing is Impossible sha but the truth is this guys you are talking about have no time to waste to come through the Terminals because its TEDIOUS, "There are a lot of wells in the swamps/creeks which is being channelled to the sea a times small barges are used or pipes in the sea that oil can easily be siphon from amidst tight security such crude does not undergoing any processing."
The guys don't really have time because they are just pawns in the hand of the chess masters in offices.

They are mere tools being used for the corrupt activities of their paymaster.

They have no choice because they know not that they were stealing.

Secondly I can not tell you much about the reconciliation of accounts there at Abuja because the Ministry of Finance is involve.
People that control the activities of theft at the terminal are in the office above and other offices like NNPC, Min of Petroleum, Nimasa, NPA etc
Politics › Re: Nigeria Bars 113 Vessels From Lifting Its Crude Oil by jomoh: 3:18pm On Jul 20, 2015
ERODEDEAST:
Crude oil Theft is a serious case one can not rule that out but Never it does not happen at the Terminals atall atall.

About remitting of cash this is how it works Fax message is being received which contain tha name of the anticipated vessel, Capacity, where it is coming from, even the estimated hours required for the loading, after each loading Documentation commence immediately finally C of Q is signed and issued to the Host company, OC' DPR, OC' Napims and one for the Vessel to sail with, This C of Q contains the Quantity and Quality of the Crude. The money is being paid to federal Account Directly. You can't do any Business in the Terminal, You can only load a vessel when you get Directive from both Lagos and Abuja and both tally.
@bold is exactly what I am saying. You cannot do business the terminal neither can you load crude oil from Abuja or Lagos offices but the vessel can be used to do business on the terminal by those in Abuja & Lagos.

Your analysis opens up the fact that the theft has two legs. While the loading is at the terminal, the actual Theft is done in the offices.

One leg(the easiest to recognise) has been cut off while it remains the other leg(the individuals in the offices).

Also your analysis makes it easy to determine the erring vessels because its easy to know who/which vessel pays how much as against the order given directly from office.

All this things are very easy for an auditor/accountant to determine. Its just simple reconciliation of the bank statement with the orders made.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Bars 113 Vessels From Lifting Its Crude Oil by jomoh: 1:51pm On Jul 20, 2015
erico2k2:
it's simple.Oil theft do not occur at terminals.if U been to the creeks or frm the ND YOU will understand.
I get your point now. But probably you've under estimated the level of decadence in our polity.

Crude Oil theft does not necessarily mean it would be from the pipes. The vessels must have been indicted for either circumventing the processes you wrote up there at some point.

Or

Even with the process you list up there, what's the assurance that they remitted to the FG, money corresponding to the crude oil lifted. This you can't rule out which will also amount to theft and its not part of the process you wrote there.

Though I've never been there but I still believe the government could not have taken such decision without some justification because the owner of vessel would've been under contract with the FG.

Pulling out of the contract without a tangible reason would spark litigation arising from breach of contract on the part of the FG.

Except for settling dues & maritime fees, cos before any Vessel can load in any of Terminals the anticipated vessels marine name/capacity would have been faxed to the OC terminal/ the Host Company/Napims/DPR. So tell me how you can load any vessel Illegally from any terminal its , But from other sources its possible. Some Jan.ja weeds will flood this thread with thrash like Baba is working.
Mteeew
I don't seem to get your point

I don't see how what you said(proper documentation) will prevent the oil theft.
