God did not promise anyone tomorrow. He is the only one who holds tomorrow and determines who will see tomorrow. That is why the Lord admonished us not to worry about tomorrow. Hence, if we should not worry about tomorrow we must cherish the gift of life by making best use of the moment under control.

We must live our life daily having the orientation that life is a temporary assignment. Several men who had plans for days to come were not given the grace to see this day. Some who were building houses did not live to live in it. Treat every moment you have as your last opportunity and acknowledge God in all your ways.

Take some time and think about your life. Think about those who are traveling on business trip but never get to their destination. At all times don't forget that life is given to
prepare for eternity.

Focus: Sacrifice of Love

We are called as God's Children to a life of sacrifice because the author and the finisher of our faith laid the example. If we must follow Him in His steps we can't but live a sacrificial life in our service to Him.

A man of God and his family embarked on a compulsory fasting programme for days because they had no food to eat. After some days a man visited and gave them N5000. With joy, his wife prepared to go to the market to buy foodstuff. In the course of her preparation, a church member whose child was sick and needed N5000 before the doctor can attend to him came to ask for assistance from the pastor.

Without thinking twice or consulting his wife; he gave out all the money. When his wife was set to go to market; he told her what happened and the fasting continued. However, that same day, another man came to visit bringing several food stuffs and money which was more than the N5000 they sacrificed. This is an epitome of sacrifice of love and its reward.

Every true sacrifice always come with great temptation. In every quest to please God and be like Jesus you cannot but live a sacrificial life.There are men who give food, shelter and other needs to those they don't even know just because of Christ. The Lord said I know your works; your labour and kind gesture is not in vain. Your children will some how share in the reward in coming days.

There is nothing a man eats that will not be exhausted. There is nothing we have on this earth that we will not leave when our time is up. The only thing that will forever be ours are those things we gave the Lord which represents our service in the fulfillment of our purpose on earth.

Many men today, gave themselves absolutely to business, others to their career forgetting the fact that the life of a man is of few days. Some people even consider the services rendered to the Lord as a waste of time and resources. But the Lord is never unjust to forget the labour of our love.

We must be ever mindful of the fact that it is the Lord who gave us what we have and our times are in His hands. Give your best to God; the only one who truly rewards without cheating.

Every situation the Lord made you to pass through is a build up to make you to have a testimony. They are actually the process God puts in place to help you to have the required character for your future placement. The only thing that will inspire people about your life is not your appearance, your possessions or even your influence but your testimony.

The manner you handle every challenge that comes your way is a factor that determines what your life will turn out to be. If David had ran away when Lion and Bear attacked his father's sheep; killing them would not be part of his testimony. It is also possible that God chose him to succeed King Saul because of his attitude and the character he put in place at those times. Don't run from life's challenges and don't consider shortcuts, they are your opportunies and license for future placement.

The testimony of the psalmist in the text looks so good and pleasing. However, before it came to this point; they would have been swallowed alive; the flood would have engulfed them, the torrent would have swept over them, the raging waters would have swept them away. But, God gave them testimony (Ps. 124:3-6).

The Israelites were terrified and had accepted to die before they sang: "Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? (Exod.15:11) when God gave them victory over the Egyptians.

The situation you are passing through will at best work out a unique testimony out of your life. Don't give up on what God has said; the experience of those men who sang the song of victory at the end of their ordeal is not different from yours, you too will tell your story but that will be at the end of the phase of life God is taking you through.

Every man will come to a point where he will be required to face his destiny alone. Every relationship we find ourselves is meant to support us within a limited time frame; they will not be there forever!!!

No matter who you are and how great your mandate and God's plan and purpose is for your life, the fact still remains that you will bear the yoke peculiar to your life alone. There is a limit to which men can assist you in the journey of destiny. Hence, the indication of your growth and maturity in life is actually how much you can take responsibility over every matter of importance in your life.

Despite the fact that Joseph's father loves him, he cannot help him when he was treated as a slave in Egypt. His ordeal did hinder him from becoming what God proposed for him. The best you can get from a man is whatever he can offer you. Don't be offended when men who you think should help did not help. As you processed in destiny know that the people around will at their best do what they can do because they are not without needs.

You will have many problems in life if as you grow you don't learn how to be alone, take responsibilies and become independent of anyone except God. Loved ones are sometimes taken away by death, some who want to help are incapacitated, and those who you think can help are been eaten up by challenges confronting them. Make best use of your relationship while they are still available to you, they will not be always there.

A man can never be at a disadvantage with respect to God's judgement in various aspect of life if he lives according to His purpose and will.

Whatever He allows at a certain point in time, is for good. Everything happening to you, if it is not as a result of the consequence of your evil deeds, it is for your own good.

In His Judgement, He allowed Christ to be crucified just to save the generation of human race. Similarly, He allowed the likes of Joseph, Daniel to have various experiences peculiar to them just to provide an avenue to fulfill His purpose.

The experience you have so far in life is a product of various underlying principles of the righteous Judge. You must live your entirely life knowing that only God knows what is right at a point in time.

You cannot understand life or its essence until you understand love. Life is all about God who is Love personified. Hence, love is the most important attribute of man who carries the presence of God.

There is no success without love. Your marriage, career, academics, job and the likes depend on it. Love is actually the secret behind the fulfillment of a man in the land of the living. Therefore, you don't have to worry about tomorrow in the presence of love.

Is there any trouble, disappointments, discord, poverty, discouragement, war or wrath? The only solution to these things is love. All these become a serious issue in the absence of love.

Similarly, we all have an important responsibility of showing love if we must fulfill our days. We are created to be a revelation of who God is as His children to the world. Hence, you deprive a man the right to have practical encounter with God each time you fail to show love.

Relationships tend to be forged when we fail to love. Love is very expensive because it will always demand the most precious things from you. However, it is a lifetime investment designed to make your life beautiful!

The nature of your heart matters to God in whatever you do. When your heart is not in line with God's will; whatever you do or will do, no matter how wonderful it appears to be, becomes unacceptable to God.

Some men go about doing the work of God in their own way, not because they want to please God but want to have influence among men and enjoy the benefits of occupying the position of authority among God's people.

When Prophet Samuel wanted to choose and anoint who is to be king among the sons of Jesse, the Lord made it clear to him that He had rejected Eliab because he does not have the heart of a king despite having the appearance of a king (1Sam 16:6-7). How far you will go in life and the exploit you will do for God is a matter of the nature of your heart. Allow God to find space in your heart so as to guard it with all diligence.

Focus: The Sacrifice of the Wicked

Who you are and how much you respond and obey the Lord's instruction is more important to God than what you claim to give or do for Him. The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to God!!

"The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight." (Proverb15:8 NKJV)

It is better you stay away or held to yourself what you have than to present an abomination to God. The God we serve is self-sufficient and does not need men to be the God He His. Hence, it is not compulsory to give or serve God if your presentation to Him is abomination.

There are men who indulge themselves to sin and various unrighteous practices but go boldly to God's altar to minister to God's people in various ways and also offer gifts which is a product of unrighteousness. Even if what you offer is commendable and not rejected by men the fact still remains that it is an abomination and God will not accept it.

As far as God is concern, all men who are living in disobedience to His word are wicked. To obey is better than sacrifice. It is of no use, if God will disown you and place a verdict on what you claimed to have done for Him in His vineyard as iniquity. "Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship." (Rom12:1).

Focus: The Heart of Love

The nature of your heart is an important factor that determines if you truly belong to God. The heart of every regenerated man by new birth in Christ Jesus is characterized by love and only love. God Himself is love. Where there is bitterness, desire for vengeance, hatred, unforgiveness and pride; the presence of God is actually missing.

Jesus, after all they did to Him could only say "Father, forgive them . . ." This very act depicts the fact that there is no evil but only love in Him. Until your heart is configured in this manner you have no place in Christ. Joseph also exhibits this kind of heart when he had the opportunity to pay his brothers in their own coin.

The teachings of the Lord makes it clear to us that we should pray, feed and do good to our enemies. We should not pay evil for evil but overcome evil with good. We can only claim to belong to Him if and only if we obey his teachings and resemble him in His attributes!

Focus: The Unforgiving Heart

Every man who exhibit unforgiveness for any reason does not know God. There is no man who gives room for bitterness in his heart that doesn't fall short of the grace of God!!!

"Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled" (Hebrew 12:15 NKJV)

God is not and can never be the source of bitterness in the heart of a man. Bitterness comes into a man's life through disobedience to God's principle and pride. When bitterness becomes a tool in God's hand, it is to let us know as His children that something is wrong with us.

Unforgiveness is hatred. It is like taking poison but expecting someone else to die. John R. Rice stated that "Unforgiveness is choosing to stay trapped in a jail cell of bitterness, serving time for someone else’s crime. C.S. Lewis stated that "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you."
 
Every true child of God does not have an unforgiving heart. It is a sign of perdition or eternal condemnation when you finds it difficult to forgive others their sin against you. Pride is the main reason for people to hold grudges. Don't fall short of God's grace and blessing because of what someone did to you, free your heart and make it conducive to receive God's bless.

Life is a mystery. Various life situations often interrupt our plans, goal and change the tide of our aspiration. Nevertheless, the Lord will ever be waiting to provide the needed help for all His children who choose to live in absolute obedience to His words.

Whatever the case may be with you at present try as much as possible to forge ahead in the direction of God's will for your life. Everything that has happened to you is a type common to those ones a man cannot but experience in this life. Stop living in the past but rather learn from your experience and look forward to the promises of God over your life.

David and his men discovered that their wives and children had been taken as captives before they arrived to their habitation. This experience was strange to them that they all wept. However, David found strength in the Lord and recovered everything with more blessing (1Sam30).

We don't know what the next moment holds but faith continues to say all is well. Don't give up on the promises of God over your life; stop crying over your past; take heart and move on having faith in God's word. If you are still a living soul the implication is that there is more of God's glory that will declared through your life!!!

Every man created by God goes on in life with an orientation of making significant progress in every facet of life. God on His part has great desire for us to make progress and grow to maturity in every aspect of life.

In life, we cannot dispute the fact that we sometimes find ourselves falling back to the level we used to be after every attempt to attain the next level. Whenever you find yourself in such situation seek the face of God and take the step of faith unto the next phase of your life.

The Israelites thought they were making progress but they were actually moving in a circle. The same applies to any man who keeps asking for the forgiveness and repenting from the same sin all the time. It also applies to all men who keeps trusting God for certain blessing in various aspect of life. Whatever the case is, the Lord is saying: "You have dwelt long enough at this mountain".

Prosperity is an exclusive part of God's plan for all mankind. Every man will not but experience this good phase of life everything being equal. When the Lord by the virtue of His mercy brings you into the era of abundance and prosperity; be mindful of who yo u used to be and God the giver of grace. In the course of your enjoyment don't forget the fact that your best is yet to come and do not look down on those who are yet to attain the measure of grace made available for you.

Also, you must not forget that nothing on earth lasts forever and that the perils associated with success and prosperity is much more than when you are still trusting God for them. In speech, appearance and in every action be a perfect example of a life characterised by humility and righteousness.

Each time you consider the brighter side of your life; you will have every reason to appreciate the Lord who brought you this far. Every man no matter how wonderful they appear to be have a dark side which is probably covered with beautiful clothes, cars and other wonderful possessions of life.

If God can just open your eyes to see what is happening deep down in the life of men you will get to know that God is fair with you. As you proceed in destiny; be mindful of the fact that you are fearfully and wonderfully made simply because there is a measure of God in you and you carry His breath. Therefore, appreciate God for who He is, with a grateful heart.

Comparing yourself with other people will only discourage you from moving on and blindfold you from seeing the wonderful virtue and treasure put in place by God in your life. Always consider the goodness of the Lord in your life and be inspired to fulfill your mandate in life!

Sometimes we wonder why some of our attitudes did not change despite the word of God made available to us and the prayer we offered about them. Some people even try to bind themselves to some rules and resolution but eventually found that it does not change their experience. When a man is still born or ruled by the sinful nature, he will not but manifest the works of the flesh.

You cannot change the sinful nature but you can only deny it to walk in the spirit. The only man who is free from the works of the flesh is that man who denies himself from walking in the spirit. The only time you will bear the fruit of the spirit is the only time you submit yourself to walk in the spirit (Gal 5:16-23). However, you can only walk in the spirit when you carry the nature of God through the new birth experience (John 3:3).

A man irrespective of who he is and how far he has gone in the journey of faith in God will live a disgraceful and a shameful life if the sinful nature finds expression in his life. He will equally be good and bear the fruit of the spirit when God finds expression in his life.

After bringing you to learn at His feet and engaging you in various kingdom businesses; He is not willing to send you away without meeting your physical needs. He knows that doing so will rather make you to collapse on the pathway of destiny.

What do you need as a child of God? Financial breakthrough, fruit of the womb, wife/husband, Job, marital/academic/career and ministerial fulfillment? The Lord is telling you to "SIT DOWN"! Don't ever think of going away; He will surely bless and make your blessing to overflow!

The omniscience God can never forget the labour of your love; He knows how long you have been with Him. Don't go away from God's will for your life; wait patiently on Him and He will make everything beautiful in your life.

The mentality of every man who is poor is that "I don't have enough that can be shared", "I cannot give and will only receive", "I can't achieve great things or make impact until I have abundant resources". A man becomes irrelevant if his presence or absence is not felt.

When your relationship with people is parasitic in nature you tend to become an object of rejection; an epitome of desolation. You are too special to be ignored because the Lord created in you the needed potential to bless your world.There is someone out there whose blessing lies in your hand. Add value to your world based on the measure of grace given to you.

Every man by nature wants to live an easy life. When you see men moving here and there; they are actually looking for comfort, peace and rest of mind in every facet of life. However, the graph of life is not straight. If there be a desire, an aspiration and a goal to achieve don't wait for everything to be perfect before you pursue it. Go at the command of the Lord to achieve whatever is His will for you to achieve even when everything around you does not support such move.

The likes of David in the wilderness, Joseph in the slavery of Egypt, Daniel in captivity became somebody even when situation around gave them no hope of becoming somebody. They became who they are because they gave room for God to elevate them from the low level of life by having faith in Him.

When the Glory of the Lord comes over a man's life, it cannot be hidden, it will surely express itself to the world. There is no need for you to announce what the Lord is set to do or doing in your life. It is not everything about your life and destiny that you share with people, this is because we are living in an evil world.

This wisdom is an ancient one as we can see in the life of Saul. He only gave his uncle the information he needed and nothing else. This is how we should live so as to come to the peak of God's plan for our lives. Several destinies have been aborted because the people in question placed themselves to lime light before maturity.

Some people are so eaten up by the social media that you can make an account of the progress of their lives. Our Lord Jesus was rebuked when He started teaching at age 12. We heard nothing about Him until the fullness of time that His ministry on earth took off. If you want to grow, you must accept to grow in obscurity until your manifestation.

Your faith in God has not come to maturity if you have not made up your mind to serve God irrespective of whatever comes your way. You must not be ignorant of the fact that there are some things that God can do but will not do based on some reasons best known to Him. He is mighty to save but will not save at all times.

The 3 Hebrews were not ignorant of this concept. To them, obedience to God is a must even if it means loosing their lives. As far as they are concern, the word of God is the ultimate and principal principle they must follow.

No matter what happens to you, be mindful of the fact that you are only saved in God's hands. Salvation comes from no where but from God.
Each time you meet yourself in a cross road and the whole situation appear as if God may not help, the only safe hand available is God's hand. Never allow what you see and experience deprive you of God's intervention in your life!

This is an ancient principle that every man who really places much value on having peace of mind must follow. Authority at any level of life will remain an author of many things in the domain of its reign. A fight against an authority over you is a battle you can never win except a higher authority intervenes. What determines how far you will go in destiny is the manner you recognise and honour those who are ahead of you.

Every true child of God is simple, humble and never underrates any man irrespective of his appearance or status. Honour your parent, spouse, teachers/lecturers, family members, neighbours, friends, Spiritual heads and everyone who comes in contact with you even when it appears they don't deserve it. God is the Almighty! There is none before Him neither will there be after Him. Several great men have come and gone but God remains God to prove to all mankind that He does not really need men to be the God He is. It is only a fool that says in His heart that there is no God or attach a condition to serve him. In every situation you find yourself you must never forget that God is the Almighty who rules in all affairs of men.

After God revealed Himself and His promises to Jacob; he reacted to God's word by asking for bread, cloth, protection, peace if God will be his God! This is the picture of the heart of many so called worshippers of God. Your worship is not acceptable without the heart of sacrifice (Rom 12:1). If trade by barter is the concept behind what you do for God then it is a waste.

You have not understood purpose until you know you are created to serve God. What is the essence of your existence if you do not serve God with what you are and have in life. Will you just come and just live, eat and die? If we are no more today God will still remain God. The only way you can make your existence count is to worship God for who He is without any condition. God needs your commitment to His service not your vow!

You can never forget whatever you learn through pains. Various life experiences are the most important tools that shapes the orientation, place value of things in life and character of a man. God had to send King Nebuchadnezzar into the wilderness for 7 years just for him to learn the rules of Heaven (Dan 4:26) as stated in the bible verse.

David passed through the pains of living in the wilderness in preparation for ruling the people of God. This experience taught his hand to war and configured his heart after God's heart (Ps 18:34)(Acts 13:22). What you truly know is what you have experienced.

Each time God allows you to go through pains as a result of various issues of life, it is not the case that He wants to make you to weep or be at a disadvantage but to subject you to some lessons of life you need for the fulfillment of your mandate that you will naturally not submit yourself to. Don't run away from the school of life meant to shape your life to fulfilling your purpose; cooperate with God so as to become what He wants you to be!

This is because the management of your life depends on it. The nature of your heart defines your life. The management of your heart is the actual management of your life.

What you think in your heart becomes your identity (Prov 23:7). To have a good life devoid of low self esteem is a factor controlled from the heart. How you manage your heart determines your experience in your ministry, marriage, academics, career. Failure or success begins from the heart.

What you say in your heart is a factor that also determines if you are wise or foolish(Ps.14:1). When God looks at a man He does not look at his appearance and what he does; He looks at his heart. Your capacity in every aspect of life is the capacity of your heart.

Those whose case is that of misfortune sometimes cannot believe what their lives has turned out to be so also those who eventually became fortunate.

There is a hand that elevates a man and turns situation arround. This hand is the hand of God. A man can never fall or fail if this hand is still holding him. If by the grace of God you find yourself fortunate in a high position it is not as if you are the best you just found favour from God. And if the case of your life is like that of a man who labour so hard with nothing to show for it or everything appears as if you are not favoured what you need is grace and favour from God.

Whatever the case is with you and every man you relate with; the fact still remains that things can change. Be mindful of the fact that what you saw yesterday is not what you are seeing today and what you will see tomorrow is different with what you are seeing presently. Acknowledge God in every situation and treat men with ultimate respect not because of who they are but because there is a measure of God in them.

Abraham at 75 years old took a critical step into the unknown in obedience to God's word and fulfilled his mandate.

The manner in which God leads a man into the unknown so also the devil can lead a man into it. We have seen several situation where people came to a point where they regretted the steps they took which led into their destruction. Each time you discover that God is leading you into the unknown do not hesitate to take the step of faith to enter into it like Abraham did.

A man who is afraid of taking a definite step into the plan of God for his life because of the fear of the unknown will not attain the best level of God for his life. There is something God wants to show you as you proceed in destiny; the best of your life is yet to come. However, you will only see it if you take a step into the unknown at His command!!!

Each time you look at yourself and discover something precious about your life, know that your life is a hunted life; the devil is highly interested in your life.

Have you at any time made a critical analysis about your life and asked yourself that: "What is so special about my life?" "Why is the devil so keen and having so much interest about my life?" "Why can't he just leave me alone to live my life and stop tempting and exploring my weaknesses?" The truth is that when you are still special to God and with several wonderful virtues in terms of talent, anointing and special endowment to fulfill God's purpose and mandate; your life is a target for destruction.

The devil doesn't bother much about those who have nothing to offer. Hence, you must be careful not to sacrifice your God's given virtue and eternal destiny on the altar of sin and unrighteousness. Be careful of the unrighteous mammon and strange women around you. Give no room to the devil to turning your glory to shame!

The nature of storm is a type that catches men unawares. It usually occurs suddenly. As you proceed in destiny be mindful of the fact that one of those things you will not but experience is the storm of life; for they will be many. No man is powerful when the storms of life ranges; Only God can deliver a man.

When the storm of life came over Job; he didn't prepare for it, the best he could do is to encourage himself and acknowledge God as the almighty. The disciples of Jesus in matthew 8, could not foresee the storm when they set out on their journey (it will be always so for all men in the journey of destiny). The interesting part of the story was that even with Jesus with them in the boat they still had storm and He was even sleeping. Sometimes, when storm comes it will be as if God is sleeping.

Whether you are a believer or not, walking and working in the will of God or not; you will experience various storms of life. However, you will not be consumed by the storm if you abide in God's presence and live in absolute obedience to His word (Matt 7:24-26).

Most of our experiences and the battle we face in life is a battle against our destiny. No matter how rough your path appears to be in life, the fact still remains that God is committed to bringing His word to pass and establish His divine purpose for your life. Whenever you are perplexed about various situation of life; be mindful of the fact that life is characterized with mysteries.

A life where you will be thinking about issue A and issue B and C will be springing up. Joseph who is cherished and celebrated by his father could not believe what befell him when he suddenly became a slave in a twinkle of an eye. Job lost most of what he gathered for years in just a day. David spent some years in the wilderness running from King Saul despite being anointed as King. Nevertheless, the ordeal of these men did not stop them from becoming what God destined for them.

The fact is that we know nothing about our lives and what will be our lot in the next moment. However, we can trust God and hold Him on His word that all will be well with us as He leads us through the journey of destiny!

The fact that no man can live without a yoke makes it paramount for every man to yield himself to the yoke of the Lord. The yoke of the Lord is easy and its burden is light because it packages a man's life into fulfilling God's purpose and mandate.

The yoke of the Lord on Apostle Paul was that He must preach the Gospel, for Joseph: he must not engage in wickedness and sin against God, for Daniel: he must not defile himself with the king's meat, for the 3 Hebrews: they must not bow to the golden idol. What we are reading about these men was so because they didn't release themselves from the yoke of the Lord.

It is not as if the likes of King Saul, Gehazi, Achan and others who ended badly did not have good records with God but their lives turned out to be how it ended simply because they released their neck from the yoke of the Lord either on temporary or permanent basis.

Are you tempted to opt out of God's will for your life with respect to your marriage, career, business, academics and other aspect of life? The way of the Lord is the way of wisdom that leads to rest!
