Religion teaches that the purpose of life is to die and go to paradise where you get to spend the rest of eternity praising God. How boring.

for the christian religion thier holy book also contains violence. When it is pointed out to them there they resort to special pleading but they would also be quick to condemn Islam and take it's verses out of context. Basically a pot calling kettle black scenario

Your have to see the house for yourself to know if it'll be okay and it'll suit your taste despite all the claims by the seller of the house that the house is okay.
This is the case of religion except that you haven't inspected the house you just have faith there is actually a house(afterlife)
The bible even says everybody that ever lived is dead right now and nobody would rise until judgement and Christs coming. That means nobody is in heaven and hell right now
So basically you don't know if there is one you just believe that there is one and this doesn't work for me
Plus I'm yet to understand why a loving God would tourture me for all eternity in a burning abyss for something as trivial, stupid and unimportant as a belief in him. Does that mean it should turn umbelibers to living suya? undecided
