Religion / Re: Dominion City & RCCG: Changing Church As A Married Woman by jookunlaja(m): 1:01pm On Jul 04, 2021
It's really a pity that private religious issue will be brought to a public forum. Many of the responses here are childish and from immature minds and brains. You don't have to contribute to all discussions. There is always wisdom in listening and watching what others are saying or doing.
Suffice to say that, Religion is an inflammable material that must be treated with utmost care. Happenings in some countries of the world and northern Nigeria can testify to that.
Personally, I do sincerely feel the feelings of the Op. It's really frustrating and disappointing to experience emptiness and lack of togetherness/acceptance in a religious gathering.
I will personally suggest that you create time to have a deep heart to heart discussion with your spouse. Believe in your heart of hearts that you can arrive at an equilibrium. Both of you are involved in this issue, so both of you should put heads together to resolve it. Your husband has not committed any sin by mandating you to join him in his church and neither have you committed a blunder by refusing to blend into his church traditions.
However, with time, patience and mutual understanding, I want to honestly believe that this minor issue will be resolved amicably and both of you shall be satisfied completely with what God is going to do in your family.
Don't forget to always have a submissive and humble heart in dealing with any marital issue. You can actually win over your husband with a submissive and humble spirit. The importance of praying and fellowshipping together as a couple can never be over emphasized. If led by the spirit of God, both of you can find a time to pray/fast and ask God for directions on this issue. It is well with your home. I also declare the blessings of God and God's hand of direction upon your family.
Finally, don't forget to share your testimony with us and minimize sharing your challenges on public forums. God bless you real good, madam. Seun Joseph

I saw a YouTube video of a woman on phrakleen channel. She's based in the UK but operating a poultry egg business in ogun state. Her concept is so beautiful and worth studying. You can check phrakleen channel on YouTube, I think the title is managing and running a 15,000 birds poultry in Nig. She has CCTV to monitor daily operations and the buyers of the eggs and suppliers of the feed deal directly with her online. Very beautiful and possible concept.
Also, you can try a long term farming projects. I saw something like that also on YouTube. Check online. Sending of salvaged vehicles as the op above stated is also a good business because repairs will be far cheaper and easier in Nig abroad. Good day

Hallo business minded student. Thank God you are not tying yourself to anyone's apron for daily survival. And mind you, Entrepreneurship is the gateway to accessing wealth in Nig today especially from the citadel of learning.
My opinion is. First of all, make a good survey of your school environment and observe the kind of businesses that are thriving there. Do take your time to check properly. Study the business environment and tabulate the pros and cons of each business opportunity you see.
I won't subscribe to a laundry business if you don't have a washing machine. I also won't subscribe to recharge card business because the turnover is so so insignificant. Don't also border yourself with lottery or gamble as some guys are telling you.
However, in a typical undergraduate school environment some businesses are of high patronage and demand like:
1. Provisions and fast food-- sharwama is only good in schools in towns, not schools located in the interior corners of some villages. Provisions like milk, sugar, cornflakes, custard, Noddles, groundnut oil, beverages, sachet tomatoes, sachet milk etc. You can also add body and skin care products like creams, toothpaste, bathing and washing soaps etc
2. Typing and photocopying could also be considered if you have cash. A normal laptop with 3 or 4 in one printer can do the magic of photocopy and printing for you. You can employ a secondary school leaver to stay in the shop whenever you go lectures.
3. Ladies and men wears, either new or second hand clothes also good in students' environment. Added with underwears like panties , pillow case , bedsheet, singlets etc.
4. Shoes, canvass, ladies slippers and bathroom slippers with leather slippers can also be considered if you have a good place to buy from.
5. Foodstuffs is good if you don't have thick competitors or market around except you are ready to sell at a very little margin in order to beat competitors down. Okay for now.
Watch out for part 2

Religion / Re: This Dream My Fiancee's Mother Had Is Bothering My Fiancee And I. by jookunlaja(m): 9:01am On Apr 03, 2021
First and foremost, I must correct the impression that dreams are mere pictures of an idle mind. Of course, we have many sources of dreams. The human mind, the human body when in sickness or undergoing traumatic stress or chemical reactions to some drugs. Dreams could also be from environmental or societal events.
Dreams could also be from demonic influences and lastly dreams do also come from God. The purposes of dreams are :. To give warning to the individual like Nebuchadnezzar, to give directions like Joseph having a dream as per the safety of baby Jesus from the infanticide of Herod, to give instructions as per Gideon, Joseph, Paul. Dreams can also come to give information about past, present or future events like Daniel, Jacob etc. While God gives his beloved dreams in order to encourage/motivate, enlight and energise.
Dreams may be projected from the demonic world to create fear, confusion and wrong information or misinform a person about another person or events.
Personally, I have many rules for judging my dreams and I always apply the rules when I have any dream.
Firstly, the rule of testing the dream via the word of God and praying in tongues. I also test the dream by meditating on it during prayer or praise worship. Counting on Christian maturity, you will be able to naturally confirm if the dream is from God, Satan, the environment or your body. Don't ever forget that Satan is a master strategist. Believers can hardly detect his devices if not for the help of the holy spirit. I documented my findings and struggles with demonic spouses in a book I wrote some years ago. The encounters are really very deadly and gory.
I will encourage you to get a soft copy of the book for your further understanding of the meaning of dreams, sources of dreams and how to interpret your dreams yourself. The book is a blockbuster. Connect with me on josephokunlaja@gmail.com and let me send you a copy at a giveaway price.
Yea, coming back to the Op' s fiancee's dream you must have the confidence that dreams are revealed so that men can take preventive or corrective actions. As far as I am concerned, a single dream no matter how scary is never enough to take a detour action. Why cancel all wedding plans because of just one single dream. If you are a born again Christian walking in the will of God and you are not engaging in premarital sex, believe me sincerely, God will never allow you make a mistake in your marriage. It's only when you are committing fornication or other willful sins that you paralyse God's hand from helping you out in your weakest moments. Even if the dream of hair being cut off is from Satan or God, you have the unbelievable power to cancel and negate it completely. Why allow a single dream to dictate the course of your life. God does not resort to talking to his children through dreams except he has exhausted all avenues of trying to get their attention and failed.

Education / Re: How Nigerians Are Getting Teaching Jobs In UAE by jookunlaja(m): 7:39am On Apr 02, 2021
Dubai guy, nice job. It's just so painful how some guys come here to spit their ignorance on our faces. You are in Nigeria and claiming to have a good understanding of the employment opportunities in the UAE. I will say it again. UAE is a great spring board for many Nigerians. Forget what these guys are saying. It's a land of great opportunities. Though definitely some Nigerians are disadvantaged but not all. Definitely, it's going to be quite difficult to get a nonnative speaker to teach English better than a native. And don't forget that Africa still has the badge of slavery and underdevelopment affecting it. I think it's a mentality issue when Africans and especially Nigerians underrate themselves. Spread your wings. I personally know many Nigerians teaching and working in schools here in the UAE. Great job, Dubai guy

Take it or leave it, Dubai is a great place to live and work. Though it posses different strokes for different people. It's a great starting point in life. Travelling for economic reasons is not a luxury in present day Nigeria.
Though getting gainful employment opportunities was quite difficult for Nigerians three years ago when I came here but it's far better now. As more and more hard working and well-mannered Nigerians are trooping here now. Though I know that there are some shady characters too.
However,. By and large, Dubai is a wonderful city and a good attestation that infrastructural development is a possibility anywhere in the world. I most times cry for my beloved country with abundance of resources but nothing meaningful and significant. The development and desire for change happening in Dubai every day is a great lesson for guys with keen minds like mine. I am learning and relearning that you can overcome any challenging situation, no matter what. If you are given a broken egg by mother nature, don't cry, just make an omelet with it.
Hi Dubai guy, great job you are doing. Don't forget to inform guys thinking of coming that some employers collect visa charges and guys should be ready to pay agent fees to fellow Nigerians who are overly greedy and self centred.

Im also guilty of this 'sin' . Abandoning your family to travel out to eke out a living. I must confess to you, its not the best living your family behind and traveling out. In my opinion, traveling is best for unmarried people because the temptation outside Nigeria is too much. Fornication and adultery are not viewed as serious sins outside. They perceive them as normal as far as its consentual. However, an unmarried person will just use the opportunity to meet a life partner.

Travel / Finally Discovered!! Why Nigerians Are Hated In Uae by jookunlaja(m): 7:59am On May 11, 2019
FINALLY DISCOVERED!! WHY NIGERIANS ARE HATED IN UAE & WHY IT IS BECOMING MORE DIFFICULT FOR NIGERIANS TO GET JOB OFFERS
Having spend some months in the wonder city called Dubai and transversing between Dubai and the other connecting cities, I have finally discovered some of the reasons why many Nigerian job seekers are always meeting a brick wall in their attempt to secure genuine job placement in the UAE.
Nigerians are being accused of so many offenses, ranging from the positive and negative offenses. By Positive offenses, I mean simple contract breaching before the end of their employment tenure which is usually two years. Outsiders must know that the UAE is a very unique place with a lot of laws and order guiding so many aspects of citizens lives. These laws have made Dubai a great city because no one is above the law. And there is no partiality or man-know-man in their justice system. More so, offenders are punished accordingly and swiftly. Without the delay in justice system that we are used to in our side of the world.
In fact, even in the dead of the night, motorists still obey traffic laws religiously. You need to see when its even a single vehicle on the road in the middle of the night, the driver still joyfully obey traffic lights without compulsion.
Virtually everything about employer and employee relationship is guided by strict laws and breaching these laws attract some fines. These laws are enacted to protect the interest of both employee and employer. However, Nigerians as a very smart and intelligent people will always look for loopholes in the laws. This is due to some factors like the average Nigerian educational level. I have discovered that most Nigerians who easily change jobs before the end of their employment visa are the educated ones. The average Nigerian in the UAE is usually more educated and enlightened than many other nationals.

Due to the fact that Nigerians are a bit more ambitious than many other nationals.Hence, my people will always seek for greener pasture after discovering that the sky is not the limit in UAE. So when an average Nigerian comes to seek job opportunity and he was able to secure a menial job despite his educational background of being a graduate, he will be restless and will be longing for a job opportunity that corresponds with his educational background. Meanwhile, he was supposed to spend two years on the job but may not even wink an eye to cancel the contract and go for a higher paying job opportunity. This selfish action will have ripple effects on the employer who is at the losing side and other job seekers from the region.
Secondly and quite sadly, some (very few and infact, insignificant) Nigerians have given us a very bad image in the UAE due to their nefarious activities. Some are here acting as Job Agents and they charge exorbitant fees to help guys secure job placements.Meanwhile, some of these jobs are nonexistent jobs. Some even collude with other nationals to dupe unsuspecting job seekers of their hard earned money. While some others are into visa racketeering. Some are involved in all sorts of anti-social behaviors which the UAE frowns at. Not knowing that crimes or criminals cannot escape the long arm of the law in this place. The policing system is unique despite the fact that Policemen do not go about with fire arms like guns. I have not set my yes on a gun since entering this place. Dubai is telling us in Africa that policing has gone beyond carrying fire arms about like soldiers in a war-torn city. The officers are not armed yet they are extremely effective and efficient in curbing any form of criminalities. And most importantly, when mediating in issues, they do it so amicably that you will be surprised that are they angels or human beings. I rarely hear of partiality or justice miscarriage.

Good day, Me don port for UAE now. Shuttling between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Though its not so tough with the grace of God but its not comfortable for many blacks here, except you are a Professional. Never underrate yourself, believe God and your ability.
Jump into the ocean and don't sink but swim.
However, I still prefer Artisans or Professionals coming here than unskilled workers. There is a job bloat here presently.I think job Seekers can seek opportunities in other countries that have easier visa policies. The situation on ground here does not favour blacks too much.
Why not just try other countries, except you are ready to go headlong and try your best in the hope that something great will come out for you.You can direct your inquiries to janeokunlaja@yahoo.com. I am not an urgent oh. However, I sure can help link you up if I am able.
When coming however, come with enough food stuff and cash for moving around for job hunting and try your best to always verify sources of jobs before parting with your hard earned money. Many are crying blood presently after falling into wrong hands. I dont want to mention any nationality involved in these job scam.
Good day and stay off crime in the UAE, the system is almost foolproof. You can hardly go Scot free after committing a crime in these place. Don't move with bad friends, avoid Alcohol, Indian hemp/drugs, fighting or not swiping your bus card which attracts AED 200 fine if caught. You may escape for months but when caught, you will surely vomit all that you have swallowed.
Romance / Re: Help! I Am Not Emotionally Attached To My Fiancee by jookunlaja(m): 9:16am On Feb 14, 2019
Having read your story, I noticed that you and i, have many things in common.
1. Even to buy food from the Canteen, I find it very hard to arrive at a perfect conclusion. I also most times regret my decisions.
My present wife and mother of my children was also like your girl, bros. We met while in school without any string attached whatsoever, she was just a good Christian friend. She does not have any of the physical/beautiful qualities I love and desire in a wife material. I hate short, dark, no boobs, no backside ladies.
In actual fact, she was totally the exact opposite of everything I desire in a lady physically. However, when it comes to emotional and psychological strength and wisdom. She has double Phd in that. She is the desire of all my friends. In fact, she has many who love her for these qualities. Though physical beauty, she no get for my eye. Since there was no emotional attachment between us, we always discuss our sexual escapades. I tell her about my new toast and likewise she lets me in into hers also.
As church people, we also pray and fast for God to give us good spouses. we attend programmes together. Remember, no single sexual attachment or string between us. She is someone I can sleep with on the bed and feel no single sexual feeling chemical for.
We were just platonic friends until each of us began to experience serious heartbreaks from potential dates.
We continued to pray until we realized that God meant us for each other. Even my friends who were not Christians were begging me to marry her.
Remember there was no single sexual attachment between us. And that was the main reason I said I can never marry her. In fact, any time I have thought about marrying her, I always bind and cast out the evil thought, saying what type of rubbish is that. However, after praying and confirming that she's God will for me and I accepted with a lot of cries and tears, I cant really explain how I started falling in love with her With time, our emotional bond began to grow and I started having sexual desire or emotional attachment towards her.
Though it was not easy growing inlove with her at the beginning, but with time, we are now like five and six.
However, I cant advise you that your case may be like mine but you are the architect of your life.
Take time to think over this issue so that you wont regret till the end of your life. I have people who are regretting presently. You can decide to go on or break off. its your choice. You cant make your decisions based on my own personal experience. Experiences are quite individualistic and personal. However, people can grow in love and also love can grow wane after some years.
However, if she is as great and good as you painted, then you might just take a blind leap. But if you feel you can get someone better, especially in the area of emotional connection, then you can find a way to peacefully break off from her.
But the handwriting on the wall is favourable and nice from my personal perspective.
Make your decisions on time and don't waste her time and life.
Till date, I always find it hard to arrive at a decision I wont regret after taking it. I buy this shoe today, tomorrow I regret that oh, I should have taken the other design. I walked for almost two hours recently looking for a simple men's wear and I could not get one that would satisfy me. God will help us boo

Good jobs are still available despite the dearth of jobs in UAE. Even despite the rancour of racism in UAE many are still getting gainful employment. I honestly think that the corrupt activity of greedy agents is adversely contributing to the problem on ground. A Security Company was rounded up this week in Dubai after someone said they had swindled about 400 job seekers.
I have been seing low paying jobs like N80,000 to N100,000 with no food or over-time but ... .

Hold on, my lady and you will soon get your own portion in the name of Jesus.
Travel / Re: My Experience In Uae And A Shout For Help Concerning Work by jookunlaja(m): 6:09pm On Feb 11, 2019
I understand your point. I empathize with you. Just continue your search and God will bless your hustle one day. Believe me sincerely, many people are getting very good jobs in the UAE. In fact, I met about four people in Abuja before coming to Dubai myself. These people got work right from Nigeria before ever stepping foot on the humid soil of Dubai. The jobs may be scarce but they are surely there. Racism is in Dubai yet blacks are still getting work daily. In fact, I met an Igbo guy today that demanded for a fee of N100,000 to take me to his Aluminium company in Al Qusais. The pay is N125,000 per month while with overtime you can get up to N200,000 and you get free 10 dirham for working OT aside from the OT payment.

The jobs may be scarce but with what I am seeing daily, the jobs ar still very much available here and there. Just continue your hustle with prayers to Baba God in heaen and very soon he will surely butter your bread. It pained my heart that NAIRALAND brought down my initial enlightenment on UAE visit/ Tourist immigration for work.
I absolutely meant no harm what soever. It was just an avenue to educate thousands of Nigerians trooping here daily and eventually very few get gainful jobs. NAIRALAND admins. deprived many of the educative write-up which is meant to prepare the minds of Nigerians that all that shine is not gold. Yes, that's the case of Dubai, ALL THAT GLITTER IS NOT GOLD.

Instead, I enjoined Nigerians in the write up that was wiped off to seek alternative in Western countries like European countries, Canada etc. Unskilled works are readily available in these countries than in Dubai.
Make every effort to travel to places where you can get work easily or even do more than one work per day. Than come to UAE where the jobs are really scarce.

I beg Nigerians to do everything possible to go to places like that than come and swell the number of job hunters in the UAE.

A word they say is enough for the wise. You can ask any UAE question here and I will supply answers to the best of my knowledge. I must refrain from giving my contact here so that NAIRALAND moderators wont wipe it off in the name of fraudster. While my honest intention is to help Nigerians from a completely pure heart.

And it is not compulsory you stay or live in a bedspace if you can afford the rent of a studio room or flat. I know people who live or stay alone in thier apartments even where I am presently putting up.

Religion / Is She Right To Reject Freedom:only Christian Girl Still In With Boko Haram by jookunlaja(m): 11:31pm On Mar 21, 2018
WHAT IS YOUR TAKE?
Quite unexpectedly, the father of the unreleased girl says though he is not happy that his girl was not released alongside the others, however, he is still rejoicing that the girl refused and rejected the offer of freedom instead of denouncing Jesus. The full story is supplied below:

Only Christian Girl Still In Boko Haram Custody As Dapchi Schoolgirls Regain Freedom
New update on the release of abducted schoolgirls reveals that Liah Sharibu, the only Christian amongst school girls kidnapped at Dapchi in Yobe, remains in Boko Haram custody.
TORI News had reported earlier today that the over 100 schoolgirls who were abducted by Boko Haram terrorists at Government Girls Science Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi on February 19, 2018, have been released, as sources in Dapchi indicated that the girls were returned back to the village by the terrorists.
Meanwhile, according to new reports by TVC News and SaharaReporters, the only Christian girl among the 110 kidnapped students of the school is still being held while five others died in captivity.
From the details of the girls released by federal government shortly after their abduction, Liah Sharibu is the victim being held.
It was gathered that the arrival of the insurgents sparked tension in the Dapchi town as many residents fled when they sighted the convoy of the terrorist group who arrived in trucks to return the abducted schoogirls.
While speaking to a correspondent, a resident had said: “Boko Haram just returned the kidnapped girls this morning. They brought them back in the same set of vehicles which they used in conveying them last month. People are scared because they do not know what the insurgents are up to.”
As at the time of filing this report, it is not clear if the federal government paid any ransom to the sect for the release, but President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier said he was open to negotiation with the terrorists.
Let's know your view about the story above.

I must let you know that life is not a bed of roses but you get from it what you demand and not what you are due.
so sorry for your mother's death. Please, though I'm a Christian but a pragmatic one at that.
You have endured too much, please hold on till the end .
About your job search, if u can't get one, at least you can still do something that can fetch you some money. even if it is a factory work or buying and selling of FMCG. You will get something with desperate determination.Dont look at the type of work as long as it's legit and can keep body n soul together until u get something better
I have nothing to say about the Bible school because it's a personal issue between u n God.You have to get clarification personally from him. However, whatever you can do in d church presently , please do it with all your strength and good heart.Start from where you are now to the unknown.
Likewise, you may need to associate with mature Christians to help u bear d burden of suicidal thoughts. Its normal to feel like that but u can stop it from shattering your life
