barcanista:
At least no one will have the moral right to say "PDP has wrecked Nigeria For 15years" because the Man that spent 8years, his Vice Atiku, His House of Reps Speaker Aminu Mansari and Majority of the Governors as at then are happily in APC. I feel bad for Buhari though, but life must go on. They say Goodluck practice 16>19, but under Obasanjo the APC Navigator there was 5>19. #Insincerity
Pls don't bring morality into this issue otherwise no politician would be talking. They may have contributed in the wrecking of Nigeria under PDP but it doesn't stop them from saying the truth still even if ppl would point accusing fingers at them. There's no or at least I haven't found any moral ethics laid down for Politicians to follow.

I won't judge these guys under APC yet.

So, he won't say the truth again?

Obasanjo cross carpeting to APC gave Goodluck the ticket on a platter.

If a masquerade stays so long in the village square, small small children will pour him sand sand.
Did you just say cross carpeting? Since when did leaving a party translates to cross carpeting because the man decided to dump PDP doesn't mean he's now in APC.

there is no place in the world where manufacturer & inventors carry what they manufactured to consumers without many people testing it; this is my point.

I gave example of INEC registration computer, i dont know if u were part of that process in 2011, if you were, u would understand what i am saying.

INEC is always confident. It is natural for every human to do that. This is also how confident they were in 2011 and they ended up shifting election on election day for 2weeks, while people have stood under the sun from morning till 4pm.

As i wrote in my first comment, INEC has good intention but their planners do not expand their thinking.
Six weeks is enough to clear all the concerns raised. Moreover they're not kicking aside the possibility of a failure in any of the card readers. They surely would have a back up plan. The card reader can be likened to a barcode scanner that records and transmits data scanned from the cards. What am I trying to say? Scanners do not go bad easily.

All Nigerians must stand up to this plague of buying and lying to us online

Gbawe and co take note
Lay this issue to rest. The guy chose PDP we haff heard. In short we APCians are sobbing so bad you would have to pity us. I'm crying a river as I type. I even refused my baby from coming over to lub my back. To tell you hw pained I'm by your new member's decision, I'm not going to shack for two weeks grin till my pain die down.

no one goes to battle with untested weapon. After production of every car it goes into different type of test before it will be handed to few selected drivers from different parts of the world to test drive it for about 6 months before it will be finally mass produced for the masses.

INEC should have conducted mock elections to test the device.

We know how laptops INEC brought for registration in 2011 disapointed.

INEC has good intention but poor planning.
I don't see d need for mock elections they can do that with d cards yet to be collected. They're pretty confident about it the least we can do is give them the benefit of the doubt and support them. Is PDP requesting that INEC makes public all their plans just to satisfy them that they're prepared??

But waite pls my fellow guys and gals in naija. Na naija we d oo those things go work that day?

APC in spirit oo but as a naija I see reason in this thing oo them done test run am so.

Make that day come reach mayb in a poll station na only 3 card d machine come fit read or them go come say battry don run down make them go charge am.

Jsy saying oo na naija we day make them test that thing wella make e no fall we APC hand wey df support am abeg.
My brother nobody is feeling the heat of the elections more than INEC. I don't believe INEC used any other device in training their staffs so if they had concerns or reason to drop the use of the card they would've said so.

An electronic card reader is least likely to be faulty when its primary function is to scan and check for the authenticity of the card and the voter by reading some barcodes.

Moreso, INEC would not be so stupid to provide just one card reader to each polling unit. Again PDP should relax and leave jega alone to do his job.

Whynotthetruth:
Sure bro, it is on both sides of the divide but it is a custom in one...Before ffk decamped back to PDP, lai Mohammed has sunk deep into it and ffk was corroborating him with his articles then. I think Reno etc joined when they couldn't take it anymore even with the jingles in TV etc urging people to respect the office of the president...Imagine how they insult and ridicule the presidency(no matter your grouse; no reason justifies insulting & ridiculing your dad)...get my drifthuh
From the onset ppl cried out for issue based campaign but both parties decided to choose the path of propaganda, insults, ridicule and so on.

I can however tell you that ppl have insulted GEJ more based on his own words and that of his aides than they have based on what lai mohammed said.

If a developed society as the US can criticize and even ridicule their presidents both past and present what makes GEJ's case diff.

Both sides fuccked this campaign up from the start big time.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Barcanista Blackmail: My Stand by jorlons(m): 9:27pm On Feb 16, 2015
Whynotthetruth:
It really baffles me how people find it too convenient to always respond to divergent opinions with insults and derogatory statements... the singular reason I stopped reading press release by Lai Mohammed because it is always ridden with abuses, insults and derogatory words...
Where is our morals and valueshuh?
How can you decide to leave out FFK's sarcasm and personal insults on the General, I personally watched an interview where the minister of state works refused to ans questions on issues but was attacking the personality of GMB, what about Fayose, okupe and Reno. This decision to support both good and bad utterances of both campaign booths was taken by both PDP and APC supporters.
So don't peg it on one because you belong to the other.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Barcanista Blackmail: My Stand by jorlons(m):
Well what can I say everybody has the freedom of association.

Let me point out one thing though barcanista you thought you were an ardent supporter of ''the amiable General'' like you fondly called him but your position today has given you away. You were only a supporter of APC

You have today enlightened us that your love for the General was only superficial. But you should know this ''the progressives camp'' is not a cult as you insinuated and you were not attacked because you had a diff opinion. You were attacked for making your opinion a thread thus indirectly insulting the positions of other progressives on the INM issue. Imagine how chaotic NL would be if everybody creates a thread based on their opinion on every political issue.

Today you made it clear that you just decided to join the bandwagon of change without any deep roots.

My advice to other progressives is this. Do a thorough research on GMB putting into consideration his past mistakes, his personality into consideration. Do same for GEJ, weigh your decisions and when you make it stand by it. Not because you want to be among those chanting #CHANGE but based on your conviction. Only this can make you stand on your decision when and if you get critism from your own.

For those seeing this act as a game keep thinking that way. But know this, some or most NL members do not face the kindda hardship the guy on the street running alongside moving vehicles just to make a sale faces, some will never experience the hardship and frustration a self sustaining graduate will face only to end up unemployed, some may never have to face the frustrations faced by graduates who are not fortunate enough to have the so called connections to get a job, most of us are not in the poverty line.

So my decision is not just for me alone, its also for those who may not be opportuned to share their stories on this forum. It is for those whose struggle for daily bread has taken most if not all of their time to be too concerned about politics or politicians. My decision is for the political newborns who are just excited to vote.

In the coming four years, whoever becomes the winner btw GMB and GEJ will not be jugded in isolation. The supporters should be prepared to bear responsibilities also.

Barcanista, you've made your decision and I respect that and I'll remain a follower of your posts. I would also like you to know you just made my list of PDPians to hold accountable if GEJ by chance wins this election. I pray you and other PDPians are right in your various decisions. Most importantly I pray we get it right.

Godbless the federal republic of Nigeria

What secrets does he have?? You mean the 1 million trained snipers or his bogus corruption allegation or the infamous "my watch" failed romance novel. What secret?? We already know what his accusations are. .its no secret. That's the difference between a wise and a phoolish man. A phool sings like canary at the slightest provocation but a wise man waits for the appropriate time to sing.

I feel sorry for nigeria when I read from people like you. Why is this allegation not a propaganda? Where is the proof that our borders are not manned? APC as a party with such info, has the ability to verify it. Go to the unmanned borders with cnn and prove your case. That's what I would do if I were Lai. Not telling us that the order was given orally, so we can't ask for evidence.

APC is destroying nigeria with unfounded allegations. Win or lose, the damage has been done. We are talking of our national security here, not just the states. Those states are they not in nigeria, abi dem dey Jupiter?

They should go ahead and destroy the country instead of uniting to move forward. Jonathan and pdp will out-rig APC in this election and nothing will happen.
You're indeed very stewpid for quoting your FADA AssWipe. Make your silly comment and move on. You're feeling sorry for me, go feel sorry for yourself and your likes. I don't know you, it will be wise for you to skip my comments when next you see it cause it will never allign to your weak reasoning.

PDP knows better than to mess with a man (OBJ) who has the secrets of their Oga at the top (GEJ). They will end up disgracing themselves. PDP should remember OBJ is not running for office.

This is frightening but I expect PDPians to call it propaganda as usual. Well I won't be surprised afterall some progressives are beginning to see info like this as propangada.
