Raymondenyi:
Hello fellow Nairalanders and romancelanders... i'm here again, seeking to learn, I really wanna know; why is marriage so much emphasized, when over 70% of it fails.
I have a cousin, who just got married last month, only for me to learn today, her husband has started beating her up; and pushing her out of his house on any slightest provocation; she is already fed up (ending it is imminent)....
Now this is not the only, there are several other cases I know; most of them very early, and the ladies re only bearing it; to only pass time.
Why the overhyping of marriage; when most will always fail? True response pls
The fact that over 70% of marriage fail doesn't mean mine will fail or yours will fail either.

He didnt have to do that. Part of his duty to the realm is to provide an heir, and he burned that heir. Do you know there have been wars over lesser things than succession. Dont you think there could be another Stannis vs Renly case ? Why would Stannis suddenly succumb to this. Its disgusting. And if somehow he makes it out of this, and nothing goes wrong it's as bad writing as the Sand Snake's and Littlefinger this season.
Stannis is a weasel. What he did was total abomination!. After going through a lot to save her life when she was a child, only to now burn her just to get the throne!. Its unimaginable.

Attraction is what draws me to you,
Distraction and retraction no more,
Opposite poles attract,
But with you, like poles attract.
The power of you I can not phantom,

For I cower at the power of your presence.
Be it solar, fusion, fission or hydro
I can not say, all I know is,
I am attracted to you the way a magnet

PoliticsRe: Buhari Lacks Clear Cut Direction On How To Govern Nigeria – PDP by joseph1832(m): 7:42am On Jun 08, 2015
GreatSoul:
Barcanista decided to be mockingly magnanimous when he said this president
needs 3 yrs to settle down to business. So many others opine that 10days is
too short to expect serious action from this government.
But let me remind us all that PMB has been eye-ing this exalted position for
the past 30 years.

Officially, he has been working to get this job for the past 12 -14years.
Finally, he got his desire since March 28 which is another 2 months added.
In the course of trying to clinch this ticket, he concluded that he needed
Tinubu on his side despite the baggages such an association could bring to him.
Now do not forget that he PMB had once been at the helm of affairs in this
country and thus has the added benefit of some experience in the corridors of power
(by the way, he did not wait for anybody to write a handover for him or give
him a blue print before going ahead to seize power).

The pertinent questions to ask PMB now are:

In your 12-14years of express ambition, what blueprint did you put together
for this country?
After your defeat 4 yrs ago when you then took the decision to 'use' Tinubu
to further your ambition, what blueprint did you come up with on how to dine with the devil?
Since March 28 this year, what blueprint have you come up with to help you hit the ground running.

I think it is becoming apparent to us all that blueprint for Nigeria as a whole has never existed in
PMB's dictionary. If he had any, we would have seen a clean copy of it in the last 10days.

Nigerians, wake up early so you can smell this thing on time whether na rose or na another thing!
Nigerians already woke up and smelt the miasma called GEJ. That's why he was voted out!.

Take a chill pill bro you obviously need one.

PoliticsRe: Goodluck Jonathan Not A Hero—timipre Sylva by joseph1832(m): 10:04pm On Jun 07, 2015
midolian:
Former Governor Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa State yesterday voiced dismay at the status of hero of democracy widely accorded to former President Goodluck Jonathan on account of his decision to concede defeat to President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential polls. Mr. Sylva, who succeeded the former president as governor before the two fell out, stated that Mr. Jonathan’s attempts to scuttle the election disqualified him from being declared a hero.

Following a political quarrel, then President Jonathan had pressured the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to stop Mr. Sylva from contesting for a second term in office in 2011.

Speaking to reporters yesterday in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State, Mr. Sylva described former President Jonathan’s concession as inevitable. He stated that it would have been suicidal for the former president. According to him, the bestowal of a heroic stature on the former president merely demonstrated that it was cheap to earn such status in Nigeria.

“For me, conceding defeat is not an achievement. Let us take a look at the event they tried everything to subvert and thwart,” Mr. Sylva said, commenting on the declaration of Mr. Jonathan as a hero. He continued: “They tried to go to court to stop the announcement of the result. Former Minister, [Godsday] Orubebe, tried to stage a coup during the announcement [of election results] to allow some paid ex-militants to invade the venue. They asked the former Inspector-General of Police to withdraw security from the venue to allow ex-militants [to] invade the venue. When all else failed, what did you expect him to do? If the Super Eagles play a football match and were defeated and accepted defeat, is that an achievement?”

Mr. Sylva stated, “Seriously, if this is the level where Nigeria has descended to, it is a sorry state. We cannot be praising somebody for loosing in such manner. [Jonathan] didn't have any other choice whatsoever. What would he have done? To kill himself? Any other thing for Jonathan to do in Aso Rock would have been suicide. Or self-destruction. At that point, Jonathan also knew it. What he should be saying is that, at that point, he did not self-destruct. If one can be a hero so cheaply in Nigeria, then it is sad. For the APC, what we considered was that there was no need to rub the defeat in. The man was down and we decided to humor him out of office.”

On his possible run for the 2016 governorship election, Mr. Sylva remarked, “Bayelsa should not be worried about whether I run or not. What they should be worried about is whether APC is fielding a candidate or not. It is not about me. It is about the APC. But you people (the media) should know that I am still eligible and qualified to contest under the law. But whether I am running or not will be determined by the party. The APC will take the final decision. And whoever the party picks will win Bayelsa State.”

Former Governor Sylva asserted that the ruling PDP in Bayelsa had lost its popularity and would be defeated in the forthcoming election. “Let me tell you, the fear element being used by the PDP is no longer there. Because Jonathan was an incumbent, there was fear. But now, it is no longer there. And that is why there has been an upsurge in the support for the APC.

“It is the same thing Dickson is experiencing. He ruled the state with fear and intimidation. And when you rule by intimidating your people, then the loyalty is liable to break under any form of stress. That is what happened during slavery. And that is what happened with colonialism. Once you rule a people by fear and not love, it will break. The time for that loyalty to break is now.”

Mr. Sylva added: “Today, I was in Otuokpoti community in Ogbia and I told them that the PDP is dead. You can continue to shift the date of the party's burial forward. PDP has tried to postpone the date of funeral all the time. I said that the PDP had postponed the funeral from 14th of February to March 28th, but of what use was it? The Party is dead.”

Last week, Nigeria’s Director of Public Prosecution made an appearance in court to drop corruption charges against Mr. Sylva, a prominent member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). The controversial move rankled commentators on social media who saw it as an early retreat from President Buhari’s pledge to wage a no-nonsense war on corruption.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had brought the corruption charges against Mr. Sylva shortly after his removal as governor.

Now click on their source and read the content. You'll realise that it wasn't the military that said they've found Buhari's Certificate but rather one Sunday Akoji who's an APC member.

The Military has never come out to tell us they've found Buhari's Certificate. The only time they made any press statement concerning Buhari's Certificate was that they couldn't find it. Please let's stop peddling propaganda and rumours.

PoliticsRe: Goodluck Jonathan For Nobel Peace Prize by joseph1832(m): 1:23am On Jun 06, 2015
And did AFRIPOL know that Oga Jona started having second thoughts about the election results? So much so that he even wanted to contest the election result?.

AFRIPOL you guys should know that Jonathan's only play was to accept defeat otherwise he would have been 'Gbagboed' like Laurent Gbagbo of Ivory Coast.

Anyway, its only a recommendation. I'm sure the recommendation will be sent to Otuoke where it belong.

And just see the way barcanista and his fellow clueless friends are happy as if they just awarded GEJ The Nobel Peace Prize. Well I guess that the modus operandi of the PDP and its supporters where "words speaks louder than action", where GEJ will say 'I will build a second Niger bridge" and they all cheered and applauded as if he really did build the bridge. Lol.

Well I guess that's the beauty of being clueless, where they tell one he or she is clueless and he or she claps his or her hands with joy and celebrate the fact that they've just been told they are clueless. I really know believe that with clueless folks "Ignorance is bliss". gringringrin
