suredammy: I wont stoop low your level and start calling you names. I have opened my mind and examined christainity thoroughly before deciding the Islam is the one true religion in the sight of God. I am not sure the same can be said of you. Why do I want you to accept Islam? Maybe it is because I have seen the truth and it hurts when I see people following other than the truth.
Just read about Islam before making uninformed choices and judgement. May God, who has not partner or associates, guide us all aright.

suredammy: Mind you this is not an argument, just civilized dialogue. Yeah, the religion am talking about is Islam and implore you and everyone to find out about the true Islam. I am appalled how little non-muslims know about Islam. I just want us all to open our minds, learn about what Islam entails and Then we can all decide and make an educated choice. How is stopping people that sell water in gallons taken as development when his administration cannot provide clean and portable water for residents in lagos state.

Which one should come first? Banning Mairuwa or providing access to portable water for every home?

Inconsiderate hypocrites with dead and selfish conscience can't know or differentiate human development and people oriented polices from Elite's Âuthocraticism.
You seem to misunderstand me my friend, am not in support of Fashola banning them however
Majority of the people in Lagos provide water for themselves by drilling boreholes, by fetching themselves or by hiring people to fetch for them(mairuwa). Since he can ban mairuwa he should also ban people from fetching water.

Peinstein: It hasnt been one sided bro. Keke marwa was banned in areas where our working class is located. Toll gates were installed for roads constructed in highbrow areas. Sure the poor have had their bad share and will feel it more cos they do not have much options, but these lagos where i live in doesnt set policies exclusively for the purpose of affecting the poor.

Peinstein: Fashola has not changed, he has been consistent with his policies, the problem is we are beginning to feel the effects day by day. That is the price we have to pay to set things back in motion for effective development. Sure in the process he has made a lot of mistakes, but how else would Lagos have been better if he had not taken the bull by the horn. You need a strong man to lead Lagos and Nigeria in general; all the Awolowo and Azikiwe we praise today were equally criticised in their times yet the end justifed the means they employed. They also made mistakes, but they sure made more successes than errors. I understand some of Fashola's policies are affecting you negatively, but more of those policies are also making your life better.

suredammy: The important question is that is it the Spiritual leaders and Men of God who are to be looked up to for guidance that are killing people in the religion you are talking about or some misguided individuals who have been condemned and disowned by the leader and real adherents of the religion? As it is the case with christainity. The whole decay in christendom is in the upper echelons, even involving catholic cardinals . I ask again where is the spirituality and fear of God. This is an invitation to think and ponder.

I have noticed a trend about nigerians,both secular and men of God. They never admit to wrongdoing.

Compare that with americans- Rev. Jesse Jackson who was recently convicted of misuse of campaign funds.He owned up and apologized to Americans. Same thing for Marian Jones.


When you are accused of wrong and you are probably guilty, Nigerians never own up. they ll probly deny or 'ignore' like in this case and Sanusi lamido's case.

Unfortunately for the man of God, repentance and admission is key. It doesnt show weakness but a contrite heart. and that would show he respects the annointing and the God he worships. this is cos its not about him, but about God. Briefly look at Kirk Franking's admission during an interview of his addiction to Porn below;

A shame. We now have church members flocking after some 'word' when they can read the scriptures themselves. so what this means is that even if a pastor murders someone, the church will support him regardless.

I dont blame anyone supporting their pastor but am sure there is sometin wrong with supportin the pastor and spitting on the lessons the bible teaches. Selah
