I have seen this type of response before, i think on this forum also, those Nairobi Visa Officers are mercurial and temperamental, Lol, maybe you should direct it to Lagos and Abuja only.

My advice; since your Husband has OND and you also have HND, either of you should apply for study permit (For you, luckily can get a PGD or PGC) , whilst your husband or you apply for SOWP and Children above 5 should apply for study permit if you have the money for that route.

That family is too large to japa on a Visitor's Visa, (try to listen when people tell you things).

You can decide to apply together if your POF and Faith can work for you, or your Husband/You should apply for the Study Permit, after approval then apply for others.

I agree with you that fact about situation of a place should be given so as not to mislead people. However, I must tell you this that there are work but only difficult to get because of the cost incurred on the company for LMIA. I believe preparation is key and not being carried away with the fun there. Same was said about no jobs in dubai when i arrived late 2019 but with focus and persistence I got 3 in 6weeks and choose the one better and thats where I applied for Canada and got approved.

Now let me tell you of a friend who arrived Canada on VV December, got job February and all his paper and WP just finalised and given early this month. So that's a testimony.

But guys prepare your mind, don't loose guard, it's not time for fun but hustle...after hustle and gotten job then you fit catch fun.

I always enjoy when people tell the truth about a place, I am always an ambassador of stay back home and make it work (Although Naija isn't doing too good lately) but still, I believe we can make it work here.

Forbye, the desperation in most people lately is solely attached to seeing your close neighbors and family members (ALL) already in YOUKAY and the likes, so a lot more people are desperately in need of visas irrespective of whatever visa it is.

@iamleye what made me comment on this is the word Yapayaski, it was often used by my close Pal during my Undergraduate days some 19 years ago.

Baba, dem no dey tell person. Many of us bring that Nigeria mentality to Canada. My nephew who came to study in Canada since the last 2 months currently can’t find a factory/warehouse job. Inflation has bastardized the economy. Most of the major food banks looks like oyigbo market with the crowd. This is not true, you typed like you have used the GCKey 1 million times, there were people whose applications took more than 8/9 months on the GCkey.

IRCC built the two websites and they must process visas from the two without giving preference(s) to any.

GCkey will specially work for you if you are processing (for instance) Study Permit and SOWP simultaneously and you have loads of documents to upload.

For me Gckey is too bulky and LIFE's not meant to be that hard and strident (Is it not for Visa? hehe), the revised (New Portal) should be adopted by whoever wants to use it.

I think the officer is correct, but sincerely, for the passport renewal they should be able to help you in IKOYI, just that it can take up to 2 months, have you gotten a passport request already?

I went to two passport offices (Festac and Alausa) today for passport renewal, but I was turned back.

They all claimed I couldn't start the renewal process now for a passport that will expire in 11 months (the passport will expire on April 17, 2024). I was given October 18, 2023, as the earliest day I could start the renewal process.

I asked them about passport migration. They were just looking at me somehow. But one officer at Alausa said there's nothing called passport migration. He said it's called passport "re-issue". He said passport reissue is different from passport renewal.

He said I can only get my passport reissued if I have used all the pages or I want do data correction like change of name.

Either the Father or the mother must have a legal status, Study Permit, Work Permit, PR, or Citizenship before you can apply.

It shows issuing country as Nigeria because that’s the issuing country of your passport. Not the visa. Did this MP say anything else? Would be nice of you to share.

Of course with my family twice,I attached everything for them,what they did was deliberate,I told them in my reconsideration letter that I can accept the refusal honourably if what they said was true or otherwise they give me more proof

I have never applied to USA.i was only denied in Canada which I disclosed,so let them continue to lie,have sent reconsideration anyway,they are yet to upload my wife and kids information on the tracker

I was the only person Principal applicant given Bvl/refusal on Saturday others are just Bvl

From few hours to many days, some people didn’t get any visa number rather they got a refusal letter after some days.

She is speaking the truth, you need to understand that; the people whom you talked to on phone are different from those you will meet at the Airport, well you said you haven't travelled before, you need to see how these Airline(s) attendants act at times you will be frustrated, nonetheless you might be lucky to have your way around.

That’s a false information o, airline can’t stop you from boarding because of that. I just finish speaking with KLM customer service (+234 1 277 80 50). She said decision is mine to book either one way or retune, they’ve no restriction.
