I said yes. I was refused a visiting visa to the USA 2015. But i didn’t put the reason because I truly don’t remember .

On this thread we have seen people whom their passports got Misplaced/Expired and sent new ones through webform to IRCC.

In that case, upload other documents through webform once you have submitted your application, ensure you write your UCI and Application numbers clearly on the webform.

Write a detailed Letter.

Even without these, i still believe you will be granted the visa since your family will be staying back (For me i will apply again with my Family and write a detailed Letter; i have been traveling with my Family since inception without issues).

I would like to ask, are you the only one who traveled to Canada Previously?
What is your other family members' travel history?

The reason was because our ties with home country will be weak since I am traveling with my family. Now, I want to reapply alone using the new portal, but I couldn't find any provision to upload sufficient supporting documents.

Then just upload only the documents asked of you, nothing to worry about.

Applicants that have traveled to Canada within the last 10 years or hold a valid non-immigrant US visa qualify for CAN+ ( expedited processing).

This is the reason why you were asked for limited documents to upload.

Well. I like the question you asked, and i am always willing to create channels for learning.

Trustees, shareholders. According to the corporate and allied matters act ,with regards to company registrations in Nigeria; every business entity has classifications.
Now i spoke about classifications i.e category.
Majorly, we have i. business name (code name, b/n), ii. Limited company (ltd,plc) iii. Incorporated trustees ( code name , i.t under which we have clubs, ngo, associations e.t.c) and the rest of them.

Now for the benefit of this discourse, the three major ones in Nigeria are listed above.

The business names are majorly enterprises, sole proprietorship, ventures, owned and operated by one man) commonly referred to as a one man business. You refer to the participants in this category as directors, because of limitations to shares

For limited liability company, you refer to them as shareholders because it is a more broad company and may likely involve 2- 7 partners(before 2020 cama) as of today, single owners of enterprises can upgrade to limited as ammended.


For incorporated trustees, you use or refer to them as trustees. I already highlighted the participants in this category.

I think it is better when we have these informations, then we can be properly guided.

Since CAMA 2020. ONE PERSON CAN OWN A COMPANY.

How is it outdated?

Was the company registration done Yesterday, Today or it will be done Tomorrow?

In a standard company there should be a board resolution, let not always thwart people's opinion.

Nothing special on this, your background check starts immediately you submitted your application,if you request for your GCMS note you will realize you might have passed criminality,but yet to start your Eligibility,you won't see any background verification in it.

In most standard applications Background checks are often completed on the day of biometrics or few days after.

Whilst others waiting for Background checks to be completed, logically these have been done at the backend.

Unlike the general pattern here of biometrics completed, eligibility completed before background check,,,,

I saw mine as biometrics completed, background check completed and eligibility has not started.

I checked using the tracker.

Is it something to be worried about?

For Minors it won't change, since kids process is often based on the parents/guardians approval.

Same here . Biometric and eligibility completed too. Background check in progress. Please what is the next thing. Applied november 2022 with my wife and kid. Noticed my kids own still the same thing . Eligibility didnt change neither background check.

You need to check your tracker later today to be sure you have the Document number.

To add to what you said I believe for a Limited Liabilities Company, it can’t be owned by one person, further claims should be in form of a Board Resolution Letter if he finally yields to going on the grounds of a conference, because those who even had their personal money couldn’t even secure a tourist visa.

Your boss sponsoring you for tourist not for business or event ! Well ask him to provide you the following documents as addition to what you have to provide
1. CAC
2. Letter addressed to embassy for sponsorship of your trip
3 . Company Statement of account
Then You will make provision of all other necessary supporting documents for your visa.
Note: Nothing wrong for your company sponsoring you on tourist trip But is not advisable to apply for visa on that grand because you might get denied I advise you look for conference event and apply, then your company can sponsor your trip while you still enjoy your tourism there .

Sorry when did you apply? Most people got their Visa numbers on the tracker typically after 1-2 days of receiving BVL.

I am not sure why yours is been delayed, could you please share your timeline.

Just tracked and saw biometrics and eligibility completed ...Background check in-progress. I'm kinda tensed though.

A large percentage of people travelling now (especially those going for studies); that is what they do and it's so alarming and perturbing.

Imagine an applicant who only has money for visa fee and wanting to travel to Canada/UK to study for a course which cost $19,000 CAD per year, after getting this proof of fund for 3-4 months, (Some pay heavily per month) luckily gets the visa, wont this person get stranded at a point when he finally gets to Canada/UK?

It's just so funny how this is legalized in Nigeria today, a lot is currently happening in Nigeria today whereby everyone wants to leave the country by giving all it takes to JAPA.

I will explain this further for the benefit of someone who wants to learn, I have 2 close relations who applied inside canada the first one applied as a visitor and applied herself and when applying she choose applying from inside Canada she was denied because she indicated she is applying from inside Canadathat was indicated by ircc instead of choosing applying from outside Canada even though the applicant was in Canada .

The second applicant while applying choose applying from outside Canada and visa was approved .Note that,they both applied from Canada as visitors
