Is this a subject of argument? I am telling you what we did, what will you tell the Nigerian Immigration when you land with the baby in Nigeria?

Do you think processing a Nigerian passport is swift in Ottawa?

For your information, if the baby doesn't have a Travel clearance processed by the Nigerian Embassy in Ottawa, you are expected to get an approval for the visa on arrival which you will board with, once the baby lands in Nigeria, the visa sticker will be affixed on the Canadian passport, then in Nigeria, you can book a passport date for the baby, that way it will be easier for you to get back to work or your business in Naija.

Else you go wait taya to get the baby a Naija Passport in Ottawa.

Do we have to argue all information contributed here?

Lol as a Nigerian even if you have another countries passport you don't need a visa to enter your own country .... Get the child birth certificate and Canada passport and travel.. if you are at the airport the child would be allowed in cause he is a Nigerian.. dont

Hi,

We recently had our baby in Canada and I can guide you step by step, the issue now is that your visa isn’t ready, this can be super fast or delayed (depending on your luck).

There is a thread for birthing and I think the thread is so dry.

Hi,

A lot of people use TC issued by the Nigerian Embassy in Ottawa, however, because of the timing, I applied for a Nigerian Visa on Arrival for my Son, as at then it was around N280K and that was the best price, but now USD has gone up. (The payment on the system uses USD)

You can add it together, VFS used to accept multiple passports those days, I do not know if TLS will.

Travel / Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by josephb(m): 8:16pm On Oct 20, 2023
This is a top example of comments I often like to see and read; for those who know me on this thread earlier.

So detailed and well explained, it’s your choice to decide, a lot of people need to have a mild expectation about a place and experience it first hand by yourself.

Lot of people have this orientation about “ ah Canada is giving visas let’s take this opportunity once and for all”

Like I often say, those countries spend more advertising their countries than developing it in the real sense. (I am not saying they do not have a better welfare for their citizens, of-course they do, My wife and I recently had our second child in Canada, so, I mean it worth being a citizen)

Yes, a lot of people (would) say it’s still better of Nigeria; that’s why I said experiencing it first hand is the best lesson.

Regards,

I have warned many here and will continue to warn to avoid regrets, do not waste your funds coming to canada with visit visa with the intention of getting a job and settling. Do not waste your funds .it’s difficult to get jobs even for PR holders and students It is difficult. Visitors have no chance. I live here and I am advising you. Even before you make that move coming with student visa , think twice. Except if your plans is to come and study and go back home . Only 30% of students get PR after studies . It is even tougher now. No CEC draws, EE draws stood at 500 Crs , 2years course + 2 years working experience and ielts 9 bands will be around 480 Crs , many PGWP holders have just few months left expiry with no chance of getting ITA as we speak. Canadian government make things difficult for students to transit to PR . They rather waste their funds on asylum seekers who cooked up lies to get easy stay without breaking a sweat, whereas those who have spent over 60k cad studying are left to waiting for a miracle ! The best way to get here is through PR ( express entry) it is not easy but it is the best way for those who are extremely brilliant young and have good credentials with work experience.

Hello,

From VFS experience, you cannot book him under Frequent Traveler since he is not, but you can submit together same day and same time if there is a document to back up you are all together.

Hi,

Are you sure you made payments for biometrics?
If you are sure, the Biometrics Instruction letter will still come give it more time.

Regards,

MaryAndrews:
Please o.....I submitted my application for visitor visa renewal since Saturday. My payment included payment for biometrics. Up till now, no biometrics letter has been sent to me. I saw on this thread people who got their biometric letters same day they submitted. Because Saturday was a weekend, I thought I would get mine on Monday. But up till now (Tuesday), nothing. Does anyone know how I can contact them? No link to send an email on the new portal.

Hi,

Where has your BF been before?

Has he been to France several times?
Also does TLS also categorize travellers in the order of

1. First time Traveller -Tourism
2. Frequent Traveller- Tourism
etc.?

I just want to know i have had four (4) Schengen Visas previously.

Regards,

zizle87:

From my own experience, with all the necessary documents and even an invitation and sponsorship letter, I believe they are being very strict this period. They are mostly giving frequent travelers and right now even those in that category are being scrutinized. I was meant to travel with my Boyfriend who is a frequent traveler and still had an invitation letter as well yet was denied twice. The essence of the trip is ruined and I almost decided not to travel anymore if not that our host put in a lot to have us visit. It’s frustrating.
We tried sending an appeal and no response. Just apply again because to appeal you have to have a very strong reason as to why you want to visit. I wish they could read minds because people like me don’t even want to stay past 2 weeks . The profiling this period is crazy .

Hello,

To my own understanding I think he was asking about Microfinance Banks/Microcredit Banks.

If that is the case; some people had used it and got approved whilst others were not.

You can decide to give it a try (A verifiable one) but you can support this with a Commercial Bank Account Statements (Otherwise known as the Regular Banks).

Good-luck.

Regards,

Phemos:

Some of the questions u guys ask is very annoying.
Which one is commercial bank and regular banks

Greetings to All Solomons in the group, males and females. Kudos to you! Pls I want to ask if someone can present Commercial Bank Statement of Account for Visa purposes instead of all these regular bank?

Hi,

Please note that for either of the spouse studying at College or University level will get a Study permit and the Wife or Husband can apply for a visiting visa or SOWP likewise the children too (Study or Visiting Visa) at anytime not necessarily after Six Months.

You can get more information here!

ShalomJP:
Team,

Please I need an urgent response

I read somewhere where it was stated that for that "Students must complete 6 months of studies in Canada to invite family or friends." Please can someone urgently throw more light on this. Is this true?

Does this mean that a wife who is a student and has done 1 month of studies cannot invite her husband and children until she has completed 6 months of studies?

Someone with experience should please help explain. Thank you.

Hello,

Are you sure this is exactly what the question says?

For that section that I know, calculate the cost of her flight and add little more to it since you are accommodating her and she isn’t spending on other things.

Hello guys,

I am applying for my mother in law. So, in the application is asking how much money she is bringing to Canada.

I am sponsoring her stay 100%. Should I write the amount in my Canadian bank account in the section where she is suppose to write how much money she’s bringing?

July is a long time and besides the French Embassy requires the last three months bank statements.

My advice is that you print your Statements of Account(s) from July till date.

There is no interview whatsoever.

Regards,

Purpleivy:
Good evening everyone, please I need to quickly confirm this. My appointment is in 2days and my bank statement is for 5months from March to July, can I still proceed with this statement or it will be an issue. It was also generated from my Access bank App so no stamp on it but there is signature on the last page.

Secondly, will there be interview on the appointment day? I’m applying for Tourist visa.

Thank you for your help.

Try to pay up and send the receipt of payment to them via email; else you can wait until they get it, but most likely going to return it to the courier service.

Congratulations once again.....

zeb04:
Wowwww! Just coming back to see all these. I am really thankful for the likes of emmafe, josephb and all the odies that were here to help me before all the fight…. God bless you.

I joined visit thread because there was no life in the close permit thread “ my questions were answered quickly here.

Today, (3am) i was just thinking of the goodness of God in my life and how privileged i am to get this opportunity.

I was without a job for 2 years, i didn’t meet the complete requirements for this job, i didn’t know french, i was not already in Canada, but God showed me mercy. Unemployment is such a depressing state to be.

I thank God from the bottom of my heart for showing me mercy, and giving me a miracle that is so unbelievable ( clearly, even on this thread, i now see how blessed i am)

I just want to encourage everyone, seeing this is my last post here. Trust God and keep believing. For those waiting for PPR, may yours come speedily.

To God be all the glory.
