Education / Re: HND & B.sc. Saga: "Grant Polytechnics The Right To Award Degrees" - ASUP by josgolf(m): 6:38am On Sep 10, 2015
On what basis should they be equal?
1.The entry requirements are not the same. Jamb cuts 200 for UNI n 150 for POLY.
2.The POLY graduate is supposed to be more practical inclined less theory. The UNI graduate is supposed to be more theoretically inclined less practical.
3.In the ENGINEERING field, the POLY graduate is an ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST.The UNI graduate is an ENGINEER.
4.POLY is meant to award DIPLOMA to Technocrats but obtaining a Diploma in Bus.Ad from Poly?
5. Their curricula differs.
Summarily,UNI is unique in its own,POLY is unique in its own. No one is forced to attend a polytechnic. If you feel intimidated, why not go all out and get a Bachelors. If a system refuses to change, change with the system.

Romance / What A Man Needs Is SUBMISSION not SEX by josgolf(m): 7:09am On Apr 18, 2015
Dont really know if this's the right place to post this...but please pardon me if not,and also pardon the long read...

Sex is an important element in
marriage and until there is sexual
intercourse between a husband and a
wife, the marriage is not yet spiritually
recognized. This shows how important sex is in
marriage.

When you look at how aggressive men
are towards sex you may think that
what a man needs from a woman is
sex.
Of course, if he has not married you
yet or he does not really intend to
marry you what he will need from you
is nothing above your body.
But if he really intends to marry you or
if you guys are already married, sex is
never what he needs from you maybe
let me say it better; "WHAT A MAN
NEEDS MOST FROM A WOMAN IS NOT
SEX."

Many young girls think because they
are sexually active and experienced;
they will easily be married and have
their husbands loving them. And when
a man approaches for marriage they
think the greatest asset they have to
show the man is sex.
Others also think once they are giving
out their bodies it means they are
giving out the best for which reason
they will be chosen above all.lolzz!

There is this young girl who is
very beautiful and sexually active. Due
to that she thought sex is all that
matters to a man. Ironically, she
struggled for long before finally getting
married. Her sexual
dexterity could not win her the heart of
a man; until out of the blue and
reason,beyond imagination a very
handsome good man married her. The
wedding was grand and her tears were
now gone.
Unfortunately only a year after the
wedding the marriage fell on
rocks.Within five years three different
men came her way( BOSS-LADY) but
none could stay.
The problem was simple. She thought
sex was all that
matters so she would never submit. But
submission is what men need, not sex.

It is time for our young ladies to know
that when a man is ready to marry he
will not look out for a woman who will
satisfy his sex drive but a woman who
will submit herself to him.
Excuse my language, "every woman
has the "V" (you know what that
means) but not every woman has
humility." So when you are a humble
woman,you are an expensive jewelry.
And a man of integrity will fear to lose
you.

What does the Bible say,
"wife, submit to your husband."
The reason is that a man's true
love goes out only for a
woman who is submissive. Your
beauty cannot make another woman
ugly but your humility can let him love
you above all other women.
Sadly, many young ladies in our days
call submission as"control." And you
will hear them
saying in tiny romantic voices,
"As for me I don't want any man to
control me oh."
If you don't want to submit don't think
of marriage because no
man in his right sense will offer his
love to a woman whose heart is higher
than his height,no matter how short he
may be.
When a woman bows her knee before
her man,the man will automatically
bow his heart before her love. And love
her sincerely.There are, of course,
recalcitrant men who will not value
women of humility but I tell you
solemnly, that every true man does not
need sex, but submission.

It is submission that truly makes you a
romantic wife. So be the African queen
you want to be but when it comes to
dealing with your husband, play the role
of a humble maid.
Don't forget that it is the spirit of
humility that has caused many maids
to hijack their mistresses' husbands.
Be your man's queen and be his maid
also.I wish you all the best as you
submit in your relationship
and marriage. May God bless your
homes!

Sorry....this is X-rated.....
read responsibly........
Before you judge me, make sure
you're perfect okay??......

Education / Re: 6 Reasons you Should Not Attend A Private University (must See) by josgolf(m): 3:50pm On Apr 13, 2015
Msquare220:
Many Nigerian students these days often move quickly to queue for private universities when making a choice of institution. I agree that private universities have advantages like the absence of strike, easy access to lecturers… Well, that’s about all.

Public universities, federal and state, have a lot of advantages, from cheaper school fees, to the freedom to be an adult. Public universities expose you to the real world, introduces you to the hustle of life unlike private universities that consist of a lot of brats who are literally spoon-fed. They are so pampered, making difficult to face the real world when they become graduates.
So here’s my case for choosing a public university.

1. Public universities allow for freedom and independence:

Students in public universities enjoy the freedom to make decisions for themselves and learn to be almost independent. Private universities keep students within the four walls of their campuses and under certain rules more suited for teenagers than young adults. The laws in public universities are not imposed on the students; they are just the basic principles a normal student is meant to follow. It’s funny when I see pictures of private university students being punished or hear of certain rules like compulsory attendance of chapel, feeding time tables, dress codes, etc.. It is absurd; these are adults!

2. Cost of education:

It is a lot cheaper to attend public university than a private one and this is not limited to school fees. Cost of living on public universities is also cheaper. Students cook their own meals and have access to shops on campus and in town where prices of goods and services are competitive. On the other hand, the cost of living on a private university secluded campus for one semester is enough to build a house.

3. Public university gives “exposure” to students:

It’s more than obvious that public university students are ”sharper” than private university students. Private university students who are often referred to as “JJC” or “Learners” by public university students, live what I term “the microwave life” which is the easy life. In federal universities you get to meet all sorts: from cultists to Aristo chicks, people with different personalities. It makes one exposed to what life really is. One is exposed to the hustle and learns how to struggle for things. There are still brats in federal universities but most of them get to grow up when exposed to the hustle.

4. Life on and off campus is FUN:

There are so many parties to attend, clubs and events. One gets to meet real people, one also learns to be real. There is a lot of gist and gossip, lot of things to laugh at. Rather than chapel, it’s clubbing. Dating is even fun in federal schools. Couples express love without fear as adults. One gets to see students that are rich and poor mingling as equals; students who express themselves through their dressing and not relegated to some uniform.

5. Hard work is compulsory:

Students in public universities have worked through exceptional odds to succeed; challenges that help one not take life for granted. Imagine a department of over a thousand students with a very small lecture hall or a lecturer who spends only twenty minutes in a class where he is meant to spend two hours, or one who only gives handouts. Faced with issues like these, students work extra hard to come out with well-deserved results.

6. Public universities produce more mature graduates:

With all the challenges: strikes, nonchalant lecturers, freedom to express yourself as adult etc., public universities are more equipped for life after graduation. They know that things would not just be handed to them and are used to making decisions for themselves. -
guy forget da tin...they no dey give certificate for suffering...if i had my way,i wouldnt mind attendn any f d private schools. The most important thing is d acquisition of knowledge...that said, private school s good, public school is also good...anyone wey your hand reach,go...

Nairaland / General / My Choice by josgolf(m): 9:55pm On Dec 10, 2014
MY CHOICE
I chose to live my life by choice rather than by
chance
I chose to live by rationality and provisions of logic
rather than sentiments and emotions...
I chose to give up on things i cannot change...while putting efforts and hoping on things i can
I chose to forgive everyone that offends me no
matter the gravity, not because they deserve
forgiveness...but because i deserve peace...
I chose to believe in my abilities...oblivious of
peoples' contrary opinion... I chose to stand out the crowd...not because mixing
up is not great...but because no voice is ever heard in
the crowd...
I chose to refuse to ponder on things that
demoralize my mindset...coz out of it comes the
issues of my life I chose to be happy...no matter what...not that av not
been through terrible times...but life is too short to
dwell in sadness n grief
I chose to be friendly to all but intimate with few...
I chose to remain silent mosttimes...coz in silence lies
the greatest of wisdom... I chose to believe in a lie sometimes even when i
know the truth...not that i am too daft to notice...but
because i know the value of friendship
I chose to stand by the truth at all times n fight for my
right even if it means death...because it is better to
die for something than to die for nothing... I chose to be me and not somebody else...who
knows the person am looking upto maybe looking
upto me...
This is MY LIFE...MY CHOICE
