Good day everyone, please we need a few clarifications.
My sister will be applying for UK student visa but the account is in her [b]maiden [/b]name while International passport and all other correspondence is in her [b]married [/b]name. I was of the opinion that newspaper publication and affidavit for change of name to cover the fact that same person bears both name should suffice. However, she reached out to me to say the agent from the school in Sunderland says account name must be in her application name(married name) to get visa.
Has anyone experienced this and what did you do? Please advise so we can know next step as i know it takes those banks ages to even change name on account oh (even me sef…..over 1 year that I requested for such in GTB, change of name is yet to reflect on my account)

The school will not send you another CAS , you willl have to include the telex copy in your application and also send the telex to the school

No, just credibility interview.UK visa interview is at random you may be picked for interview and some they make decisions without interviewing you.

I used my parent as sponsor but it was a random question, even if you’re sponsoring yourself the interviewer can still asked you how long it took you.Just tell them you’re financially comfortable and you have the required amount (be specific about the amount) in your account/ sponsor’s account ..

I'd been thinking the 28-day rule was for student visa application.

When a school demand a statement of account the requirement always states 28days , you can be refuse CAS if you don’t follow their instructions

This may not carry much weight but if we want to print out our bank statement, try to carry out a transaction the previous day even if it’s just ₦100 recharge airtime.

That is, If you want to print your statement on Thursday, carry out a transaction on Wednesday.

What rate will the uncle be charging , if you do a form A you don’t need to source pounds from anyone , all you do is go to your bank or a bank that is fast with form A and get your transaction done
