Have you covered all the material and now just doing the revision, tests? |
The SUN newspaper is arguably the worst, trashiest tabloid in Africa! What makes front page is simply the creation of Uzor Kalu previous-day imaginations and machinations, |
if people insisted that everything their spouses do that ' they are not comfortable with' be abandonedThis is certainly not a case of "everything". It involves a relationship with the opposite gender and suspicions of infidelity. Infidelity - arguably the #1 cause of marriage breakdowns! Question is, is a trivial relationship like this worth the risk to a happy 10-year union? You figure! |
Even if lagerback fails - but is bold enough to take difficult decisions like fielding young, commited and talented players, then we'll all be better for it and he'll earn our respect. Amodu lacks the courage, leadership qualities and exposure required to manage our national team and contain the distractions that the politics of the NFA brings |
This goes both ways. Can't imagine a husband should continue with a 'harmless' online relationship if doing so displeases his wife. Failing to nip it in the bud may trigger future escalating actions / reactions, the type of which we've seen plastered on this board in recent times, |
No brainer. Dump your chat friend. Your marriage is far more valuable than your forex knowledge!! Unless you're getting bored in your marriage and looking for some "extra curricular" activity! |
Mine was my jambite days @ Uniben. Mehn, late one evening, I was toasting above my level - a 200 level student walking from a lecture theatre to to a hall of residence. Decked in those olden days suspenders and a well starched shirt, I fancied my chances. "Excuse me, can I walk with you?". This girl looked at me from up to down like a stray cat and said "walk by you you mean? The answer is no I'm afraid". Undettered by this "minor" setback, I begin toast the babe for the next 5 mins to the domitory, raising all forms of different conversations from musicians like Boys to Men to the importance of Born again christainity. Though the response was cold, I still fancied my chances as a fine boy na! ![]() Menh, I got the shock of my life when we got to the doors to her room. This babe just opened the door walked in, waited until she thought I'd make a move to walk in with her, then SLAMMED the door in my face. I then heard her and her roommates laughing their heads off as if they'd just inhaled laughing gas! I was unsure wether to join in the laughter or cry at the door ![]() |
nope but justice should be done equallyThis is one big problem with us Nigerians. The mentality of "if you can't catch all the disease-infested rats in one go, let them all be". Whatever happened to a step at a time? When the US was going after Al Capone with the must ruthless methods imaginable, I can assure you he wasn't the only currupt crook in town, |
The strange thing is how they "remain convinced" it's my bossom friend that did it. My dad/mum was asking the dude to confess, that the voice was exact!! Till today! Logic flies out the window with parents sometimes. All I can say is that you give them space to "reflect' on their own failings. With time, they'll come round. |
On a serious note, this same thing happend between my dad and one of my closest friends. Dupe called my old man in Naij from Yankee impersonating my friend. Long story short, old man ends up paying a major sum into a local bank account!! Somehow you'd expect these folks will call the #'s they have to verify before parting with money. Someone I know say it's juju they use ![]() |
fink d level of maturity she showcasd really communicate dMum may have simply found someone with better 'grammar' for her daughter ![]() |
Danjuma, Gusau, OBJ and co are not dumb, they know he's not coming back soon, once the new FEC is in place, Yar'll be removed removed! |
Is it legal to own/license a 'proper' gun in Nija? Not talking about those dane double barrel contraptions. I know military officiers have access to these, but not sure if civilian ownership is permited. Damn. when I relocate to naij, I'm bringing in an Uzi or AK47. Certainly an assault rifle. Those mofos in naij are getting too suffisticated, a dane gun wont cut it! And the answer to @poster is yes. Though more useful in some climes (naij, afganistan etc) than others. |
Nna, na so dem dupe my popsie for naij oo! These people be winch. Them get sugar for mouth. A whole my father, wey dey warn me to be careful well well of fraudstars. It's sad sha. Anything that comes out of naij you have to confront with a very long |
Unlike in developed countries where ex leaders will be relevant, productive outside politics, a great deal of our leaders, with the exception of the likes of Dora - are completely useless - in and out of office! Thats why they're ready to die to hand on to their ![]() Only in Nigeria! |
Nigerians, like you and me, must say NO to the principle of SELECTION adopted by the PDPIs this possible, likely in the prevailing Nigerian context? The fact remains that the highest bidder would carry the day - resulting in a potentially worse outcome compared to what obtains now! Imagine leaving the process open for the Ibori's and Kalu's of our world!. I think some people should be excluded by stealth if necessary. Some degree of 'control' may not be a bad thing altogether, rather than leave this important process to the extreme influence of curruption / money that plagues every institution in Nigeria today. |
Abeg let the bombs reign. They should upgrade to more advanced IED's, that would be nice. I'm dissapointed that it wasn't placed closer to that midget of a governor from Edo state or his co-midget - Uduaghan They should then reserve the most powerful devices for the Sylva's, Babangida's,Anaconda's, Ibori's of our time, |
It goes without saying that Farida has been far less effective than Ribadu. Ribadu remains the gold standard for how the war on curruption in Nigeria must be fought. However, the obstacles faced by the EFCC under Yar Presidency must be recognized as a main limitation. The EFCC can only be as effective as the goverment of day permits. It's ironic - under OBJ, millions was spent on training a select group of respected judges in SA, Europe, US - aimed at empowering them with requisite knowledge. Under Yar on the other hand, the most currupt judges are being elevated to new heights and handed 'big ticket' transactions (cases). When the top is rotten, as is the case with Nigeria, nothing good should be expected from the institutions within, |
What else does one expect in a society where leaders are gangstars? This is simply a reflection of our times and the desperate place we find ourselves as a nation. Tell me, Is it the governors and their mafioso personalities that are setting the right example? Is it the members of the legislature, most of whom have become over-night billionaires while the nations plunges into new depths of despair? Is it the religious leaders who have completely embraced conspicious consumption while poverty dominates across the land? Is it the judiciary that have left no doubt in our minds that justice is not only a zero-sum-game, but one that is available to he who bids the highest? Oh wait. Is it the cabal around Yar that have shown us - the people - that power, money and influence must be sought and ratained at ANY cost. With their abused minds and warped sense of purpose, these criminals are to a certain degree, victimS - much like the rest of us. |
a journalist using the word swagger in an article? he he.That Mr Momodu's style of writing borders on taboid journalism is not news. I doubt that even he tries to conceal it. For that reason, I've learnt to ignore his style where possible, and instead focus on the substance - if and were it can be found embedded in his write-up. However, I suppose "swagger" is an appropriate portrayal of leadership artitudes in Nigeria today - from the way our conceited governors pander around like power intoxicated supremo's of criminal fraternities to the audacious affront on our senses by the likes of Ibori and Anaconda. It's a phrase that fits attitudes you'd expect in a continuing criminal enterprise - which unfortunately, is no more than what Nigeria represents today. Charisma will be too generous a reference to any of our clueless, dull, empty and criminal leaders. |
In defence of Mr Momodu, it takes some courage to stand up for the truth in such a popular medium, questionable as his writing style may be. I have to agree with the main thrust of his write-up. What Nigeria needs is an "Obasanjo". I too, miss OBJ so much. I detest most of our governors and ministers. A lot of them would certainly be in Kirikiri now if OBJ was in power. Thats one reason they are all running helter skelter, desperate to 'shackle' Jonathan. The suspicion of the slightest OBJ/Ribadu influence in power must send them into panic mode! Why should a criminal cartel of thieving governors, ministers and other un-elected dunces hold sway in our land?. All this nonsence, lack of authority would never have happened under OBJ! OBJ certainly isn't the best President Nigeria can have, not by a long short. But in my books, he's certainly the best we've had. |
If SR is to be believed, the National Security Adviser has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect. This is the best news out of this sad Yar saga, A main thrust of his role as NSA is to work towards a stable polity and advise the President accordingly. Rather, he is busy developing complex schemes on how to smuggle in a comatose and unpopular President in the dead of the night. Obviously, the extremely delicate security situation in Jos was the least of his priorities! Good ridance to very very bad rubbish. Ruma / Tanimu must be next in the firing line! Weldone Jonathan. Hopefully, this is the begining of things to come, Source: http://www.saharareporters.com/real-news/sr-headlines/5451-breaking-news-jonathan-removes-nsa-sarki-mukhtar.html |
Give him small blow in the nose! ![]() |
Looks like PR stunt to me!! No more than basic Army (soldier) reserve training in the UK/US. Somehow, I I have little respect for most Nigerian soldiers. At best, they are bullies, human right violators and cowards when faced with determined armed combatants as was the case in the N. Delta, |
If your living expenses has been eg 10,000 naira monthly in the past year you could have saved 360,000 naira. Can you please provide the formula used here? thanks ![]() |
This is not fair. You people are being to harsh on @poster. It was a mistake. She said she 'cried' throughout the encounter - even if she didn't tell us how long it lasted - 2, 3, 4 hours maybe?. Do you know that her hands may have been tied throughout the encounter so she couldn't fight back? Perhaps her legs were strapped to adjacent poles, making movement impossible? Her mouth could have been gagged meaning she couldn't ask him to stop or scream for help? It may have been a 'distressing' experience. Phew, nairalanders, be sensitive!! @poster, kpele jare ![]() |

This should teach us to be careful who we have a president, and should be ready to put our lives on the line to elect the right people, I can't begin to imagine Duke, Fashola etc being this backward and detached from reality. Self before country. Abeg make I rest sef, before I take vex finish this bottle of brandy for my hand, ![]() |
Yaradua does not need to come to power. He is the executive President of NIGERIA.This is only possible due to the dorcility of the people. Trust me, if this nation comes to a standstill, either Yar steps aside voluntarily or forced to by Jon/National Assembly, or a coup happens. Period. |
Abeg, all this God will soon, Good will this and that. Let us park that one jare. God will not decend from heaven to change leaders for us. What we need now is a process of civil disobedience. Everyone willing to put themselves out for the future of our nation, NUT, NANS, Labour unions and all those bodies quick to strike when salary is the issue - need to bring the country to a standstill, make it ungovernable until Yar does good, , Men, when will we stop selling our souls for a pot of poridge!! |

I was unsure wether to join in the laughter or cry at the door
