Whao, that's really good o. Pls where can one get the natural vitex and how much? How will one identify it different from the synthetic ones

Stephaniecoa:
I used vitex. The original natural one not synthetic. And I used it for one month and withdrew. Since then my cycle has been regular with ovulation.
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by joyousf: 10:02am On Mar 23, 2017
That is nice. How did you get to the regular cycle and ovulation? Did you use any meds or supplement?

Stephaniecoa:
I'm not sure if ovaboost causes ovulation. I have pcos as well and was having 80days cycle without ovulation of course, but now I am down and regular with 32days cycle and ovulating monthly.
The only indication/confirmation of ovulation is tracking your the egg (if necessary), using ovulation predictor kit to track lh surge (the hormone that causes ovulation).

Was it stretchy? Like 4 cm

Another way to monitor if u are ovulating is tracking with a trans vaginal scan.if u can't track this cycle, make love like 3 times a week. Remember drugs don't do magic, consistency is the key . success
thanks ma. didn't even measure. so unless it's that long it's not likely to signify ovulation? mmh TVS Na money o. I'd follow d bd advice though.

PhonesPls Help : Storage And Other Issues On Itel 1513 by joyousf(op): 12:28pm On Mar 22, 2017
I just bought an Itel 1513 phone which has 8gb internal memory and I also inserted 8gb micro usd.

I've been having some problems with having enough memory for storage. All the apps I installed were automatically installed in the internal memory. I could not find anywhere in the settings to alter this issue once and for all. So I had to change the storage for each app individually. Some apps didn't even give me that option. The videos n images on my memory card are also still showing to be in the internal memory. I have uninstalled so many apps yet the same message keeps appearing. I never had such a problem with my former phone-Techno Y3. So I am really surprised and don't understand

Then people have been complaining that they sent me text messages yet I did not receive them. Please what could be the problem.

Finally, I cannot seem to be able to backup my phone contacts on my memory card like I usually do with other phones I have used to make it easy for me to retrieve all my contacts whenever I change to another phone.

Pls I'd appreciate any help on these issues. I like the phone but these stuffs are really frustrating the fun experience with the phone.

The name of the company is fairhaven.fairhaven products are fertile aid for men n women ,ovaboost for women, motility boost n count boost for men, inositol e.t.c. i don't know much about m2tone. so i wasn't able to increase mert to 1500 but I'm still doing 1000. got ovaboost n taking 4 tabs daily. couldn't get pregnacare or fertile aid. money matters. I hope I'm still in order.

I pray it all works well o. anyway to know if n wen ovulation would occur?
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by joyousf: 11:27am On Mar 02, 2017
thanks.

Just a quick question? Does ovaboost stimulate the ovaries? I thought it only helped with egg quality. Then letrozole, isn't it the one that stimulates the ovaries like clomid? I'm just asking n willing to learn o pls.

iGaz:
Please avoid Ovaboost or any supplement that stimulates the ovaries if you have PCOS or cyst. It may do you more harm than good. Stick to Metformin and Letrazole. Then choose btw Fertilaid, Pregnacare or good substitute.

Thank you my sister. pls how can I get ovaboost? I've asked around here in ado but no pharmacy seems to have. I don't know if it's possible for u to help me get. where are you based pls?

then what's the dosage for d ovaboost n pregnacare?

pls ma, the fertile aid product, what's is that the exact name? because I saw a post where someone was mentioning m2tone again. are they thesame?

wonyi:
If u have the money go for fertile aid + ovaboost + inositol . Otherwise replace fertile aid with pregnacare. It will balance your hormones.

Or ovaboost and metformin (depends on weight 1500mg should be ok) and pregnacare.

Within 3 months u should get result by the grace of God. Ur hormones will respond N u will ovulate. Eat clean. Avoid sugary food and fruits. replace yam with plantain. Replace garri with plantain flour.

watch what you eat otherwise metformin won't work. Avoid sugary drinks like coke ,malt etc

eat more vegetables
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by joyousf: 10:52pm On Feb 28, 2017
Thanks. sorry o, are u saying i will pick one among fertileaid, ovaboost and inositol? i am not in lagos o. where can i get the ovaboost?

diagnosis was via hormonal test n scan.

i have been working on my diet n been taking mert for two months now. what about vitex? can i take mert with it ormert with ovaboost?

wonyi:
Treating PCOS, pregnancare alone can't help. Ovaboost will help with egg quality infact the major ingredient in Ovaboost is Inositol. Inositol does the following reduces insulin resistance, reduces testosterones (a male hormone ),less unwanted hair, increases chances of ovulation, higher egg quality, lower chances of gestational diabetes, lowers cholesterol ,controls weight etc

The fertility combo by fairhaven for PCOS is fertile aid, ovaboost and Inositol. But some people complain of fertileaid messing up their cycle. So u can substitute fertile aid for pregnacare to achieve faster result.

For metformin, it's a thing of choice. Metformin works faster when u get the right dose for body n eating clean with exercise n it reduces insulin. It can be combined with the fertility combo. Although I stand to be corrected.

If u are in lagos ,fertile aid products can be gotten for 10k

Alternatively, bitter leaf n letrozole with follicle monitoring. If injection is needed u will be told.

How was the PCOS diagnosed?
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by joyousf: 2:19pm On Feb 28, 2017
Amin o. It is well. I'd try increasing to 1500mg again and see the effect on me if I don't get nauseated up and down vomitting again.

I have read nice reviews about letrozole. Pls what is the dosage for inducing ovulation?

Regular menses for where? I can't even remember when last I did menses on my own. Maybe 2010 or 2011. Usually I have had to induce using duphaston or primolut N. Maybe I would use that again when I want to induce. I dey fear using birth control pills, just in case my body decides to ovulate on its own with this merformin I am using. I have read of people that took in after using mert for about three months.

CravingChic:
The birth control pills was given to me to regulate my cycle...however if u have a clockwork cycle, you can ignore it. If you can slowly increase to 1500, then do so because that is the dose my gyny liked to work with. That drug no be here oo. Taking till april is cool, then stimulate with clomid. If you did 100mg of clomid the last time, you can up to 150mg daily when you want to start clomid again. Or on the alternative, try letrozole. It seems to work better for PCOS women. May God grant us our heart desires, amen.
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by joyousf: 2:10pm On Feb 28, 2017
Thanks mama,
Would I be combining all these drugs? My guess is that i need one of the ovaboost, pregnacare or fertile aid abi? I have also heard of M2Tone. Pls which of these is the most affordable since I guess it's going to be a daily drug.

I read that mertformin works same way as inositol...that is to reduce insulin resistance.

wonyi:
You can try inositol, ovaboost, metformin n pregnacare or fertile aid. With that u will ovulate naturally. Stay away from sugar n carbon. Eat healthy. Ur egg quality will improve n of course metformin will keep your sugar level down also producing

Afternoon,

Thanks for the enlightenment on NHIS. I work with a private company in Ado-Ekiti, I believe, I can still register for and benefit from NHIS. Please which plan is available for people like me and where is their office so I can make enquiries. Thanks
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by joyousf: 12:36pm On Feb 28, 2017
Enh enh, thanks for the update o.

So you are saying mertformin and oral contraceptive pills for three months, after which you would now try clomid abi?

It is well, I've been taking mert since december. I am considering to continue to take it till probably April before trying the clomid again and this time around, I am likely to increase the dosage to 150 mg since the 100mg I have used so far has not worked.

Please what is the role of the pills in the treatment?

CravingChic:
I just remembered anoda med that was part of the protocol- birth control pills for 3 months. My dear, I believe I would have been successful because my friend that was given similar dose by the doctor took in...I had to stop because I developed some issues, not caused by the protocol though. PCOS is a bastard but we would overcome it. Meanwhile, try doing a hormonal profile to check your FSH levels and others.

Congrats to Olaedo, your WIDD is a unique one. I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy experience.
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by joyousf: 10:53pm On Feb 26, 2017
Thanks so much ma. God bless you.

I think you are right. I woke up this morning thinking that if not anything, the mert seems to have facilitated my weight loss which I had tried endlessly for months to do on my own. So I picked it up again today. I tried 1500mg one day but I reacted with nausea and vomitting up and down the next morning. So i decided to stick to 1000mg daily, 500mg in the morning n at night and my body seems to be tolerating that well.

So did the mertformin work for you? Guess, I did not wait enough before trying clomid again. I had used clomid once, it failed, used again with mert failed n the recent clomid with Hmg again still nothing. I should probably continue the mert for a month or two more before trying clomid again.

Interestingly though I did a scan on friday and I was told the eggs didn't mature well I saw vert fertile mucous yesterday and today

It is well.

CravingChic:
My dear...you are on track using metformin already...your case is that of secondary infertility. I would advice you increase your metformin dose to 1500 for 3months, then take an Ovulation inducing drug like letrozole or clomid on the fourth cycle. That's the protocol a gyny placed me on one certain time. Ruzu bitters is also good and Vitex too but I dont think you should be consuming everything because of good reviews. Your current protocol is cool, just take metformim and continue your dieting.

Thanks my sister, never even heard of these things before. I mean the supplements.

ogunbekun:
Sis,

There are so many ways to improve your egg quality naturally. There is no point using clomid yet, I think you should work out the quality first.
Use Royal Jelly, COQ 10, inositol. Pls keep in mind that it takes 3 months for eggs to be produced and mature for release, so this is the minimum time it will take for the effect of the supplements to be noticed.

Other sabi mamas will also come and put mouth.

Thanks my sister, Amen o. In fact, that taste na something else. I never even drink agbo in my life before. The trick I have used in these two days that I took it was to make sure that immediately after drinking food is entering my mouth and by the time I finish that meal the bitter taste is over.

I really appreciate ur response

Pls someone should respond to my enquiry

joyousf:
Evening o,
I hope ur day was good. Mine has ended on a somewhat down note. I was diagnosed with PCOS and I was able to achieve pregnancy before with clomid. After having my child, I used sayana press (similar constituents as depo) Jan last year. Only 1 shot o! But since August 2016, I've been on TTC. Clomid no lead to ovulation o. in this last cycle, I even used Hmg injections. Feel bad that after spending so much I got the verdict today that the eggs still didn't mature. I can only think of two things that may be the issue-maybe it's d CS i did or it's d sayana press.

I'm considering going natural. My gynae was suggesting going on another cycle of clomid n Hmg again, but I no even get that kind money n I'd really hate to spend so much only to not succeed again even if I were to struggle to get that money. I now understand why IVF is super expensive.

And can I use these herbs together with the mertformin or I should stop it for now?

Pls sabi mamas and experienced people, I want your advice o, especially those that have also dealt with PCOS. I wasn't even ovulating or having a cycle as such before.

I'm currently taking 1000mg of mertformin (for 2 months now) and I've actually lost 3kg already. have changed my diet to low carbs, removed sugars and wheat based or flour based foods. this has helped me to reduce but no ovulation or period o. I intend to still lose 5 more kg.

I'm considering using Ruzu bitters. Pls does it really work for PCOS. I've read various testimonies about it for infertility but I know say causes of infertility plenty so I want to know if it really addresses PCOS. I also want to use Vitex, I've also read about it. Please any ideas of where I can buy it in Ado-ekiti or it's only in Lagos?

Sorry say my questions plenty. But please, I need your advice o... any useful info would be appreciated.

my experience is with clomid. most gynaes would use 3-7 or even 2-6. the difference is probably the maturity of the eggs n d earlier you use it the more possibility for more than one egg to develop.

[quote author=Adiahaakwaibom1 post=53242436]Yes o, a lot of women with PCOS have conceived numerous times & bear healthy children. I have read an article that said women with PCOS r more prone 2 multiple pregnancy when dy finally conceive. But lst; u have 2 eradicate d root cause of these Cysts & also avoid using clomid continuously to induce ovulation cos it results in ovarian hyperstimulation & cysts.
Ur new gynae hopefully will tell u more but 4 d time being; detoxify ur system naturally & maintain a low carb diet with an active lifestyle .

Thanks ma. I'd work on that. I've recently been working on my diet n exercising. I pray it helps.

evening o.
pls I would like advice on this pcos thing. I was diagnosed some years back n used clomid which at all times led to ovulation.

come this TTC period I've used clomid twice (I must confess without drs supervision. my gynae services are quite pricey plus they just moved to their site n prices doubled) and i neither ovulated nor menstruated. d first time i did a scan n they said it was a cyst for which i used oral contraceptive for. second time i decided to use metformin together with d clomid but still no menses or pregnancy. i guess it was also a cyst cos two days after finishing d clomid my lower ab was aching for 5 days.

I don't know what could be d problem. the only thing I consider different from my previous experiences with the drug is that I'm now 3-4 years older n my weight also abt 3kg more.
.I've decided to continue with metfirmin and also reduce my weight. so far I've lost 1kg.

im thinking of going to another gynae thats closer n cheaper for another clomid treatment. maybe first week in feb. i want to believe that they can add some injection or so to d clomid to help ensure i actually ovulate.

pls has anyone experienced smt like this before? how did u get pregnant with pcos.

im so tired of negative pt tests.

Hello mamas, I need your advice o. So i was told that it's better to reduce rate of breastfeeding when you want to wean to avoid excessive engorgement in the final time. SO I decided to wean my lo gradually who doesn't bf during work hours cos I am at work but once I pick him up like this na breast. I thought I could restrict to just night feeds but no matter what he'd cry n cry n it seems almost impossible to even reduce that.
Reducing night feeds naa nko... he'd cry so tey. The thing is when he is sleepy he usually would not drink or eat anything except breast. So trying to give him a drink in the night he'd refuse it, then once he wakes up like that he'd find it difficult to sleep back. he doesn't sleep that easily before. like last night now, he woke up by to 12am cos I refused to give him the breast and didn't sleep back till around 2am ( I ended up giving him breast at some point but despite that he still didnt sleep back easily).

Please I just need advice on how to go about weaning. he's one year 4 months.
thanks

Offer him his favourite food and see whether he would eat, introduce juices for example orange juice even fizzy drinks it would provide the sugar needed for energy and electrolytes to deal with dehydration as well as the water. Loss of appetite can vary from one child to another so if you're really concerned that he is loosing too much weight and possibly lethargic is best to see the doctor. wink
thanks. I have offered him his fav but he still closes the mouth. drinks n juices: he won't collet too. in fact add anything at all to his water n he rejects it. he isn't lethargic . he plays mostly except those times he becomes so cranky which I guess is due to hunger.

Mamas that have done or attended one year bday party pls I need ideas of what the program of events should look like and the games to play so the whole thing is not boring. Becuase with what I have looks like we will be done in less than 2 hours o!

Again, my lo is almost a year yet no tooth and he is not walking. Is there anything I can give so the teeth can start growing. I have increased his milk and added soya to his pap.

Then the walking, is there anything I should be doing. I really feel bad sometimes though I know the theory that children are different. Does this pushing walker help? How can I encourage him to walk. Anytime I try to hold his hands to walk he will just want to remove his hand and be on all fours in a second. though in unguarded moments he stands on his own for few secs. Please help me o.
