Politics › Re: The Rise and Shameful Fall Of Nnamdi Kanu (PICS) by jpphilips(m): 7:42pm On Nov 23, 2015
macfarland:
Well the agitation for Biafra is right and not against the law of any land. Biafra has protested in 102 countries so far plus Abuja Nigeria. It's simple a step in affirmation of right for self determination as enshrined in the United Nation charter. The new resolve for Biafra is total escalated by Buhari style of divide and rule system. GEJ in his wisdom ignore Nnamdi Kanu and went ahead to try to balance the heterogeneous country like Nigeria by holding a sovereign national conference which was successful. But Buhari in his military mentality and with the support of some Yorubas threw this report and implementation to the dust bin. Buhari appointment awakened the consciousness of most southerners that this is not one Nigeria. The feeling and resolved to get out of a country u are not considered in d the scheme of things became unquenchable for many in the south. It is no longer about oil. A lot people 'will say take the oil and give me Biafra' because Biafra now stands for freedom.... A sense of belonging. If a person want something u want to tell him to come to Abuja or Lagos something that can be gotten at his own backyard. Some government strategic jobs and portfolio are reserved for a particular section of country. Call a security meeting of the Nigerian nation today and u will see how the southeast are totally excluded from the army, Navy, airforce, SSS, police, common civil defense, etc. In the helm of affairs of the National oil for where? Where do u see Ibo people. This was d order of things in during the military rule. With the way things are right a Nigerian of Igbo extraction can never win an election in Nigeria nation meaning that an Igbo can never become President. What a way to isolate a people using a powerful orchestrated techniques of voters figure. Now in democracy GEJ tried to balance some of these injustice during his administration but Buhari government just turned a sleeping dog upside down in a democracy not considering the complexities of d Nigerian state. The quest for Biafra is seen as the only way out by its people both small and might... The youth and old. Those close to government circle like governors and ezes or the Ohanezes will never support Biafra in the public but d truth truth be told they are Biafra at heart and secretly. The Hausa Fulani will fight to kill... The Yorubas will hate and aid the Northerners.... Army will kill.... Police will maim.... Nnamdi Kanu may be killed.... Many may as well die... But d soul of Biafra will never die again. There is no going back. The fight for freedom will take a lot of struggle but not long for Biafra to come. It will happen like a dream to even the Biafrans. All hail Biafra!

I perused through the Greater Portharcourt website and the information there in was not detailed enough for an initiative of such magnitude.
I have a few questions on the modus operandi of the Greater Portharcourt initiative

1) why is it impossible for the Greater Porthacourt acquired areas to be positioned with landmarks?
2)Why does GPH not have a map to street level and detailed specifications of what the projects entails?
3)How does the Government intend to recoup such investments?
4)What is the synergy between the Rivers state Ministry of lands with the GPH?
5) Are the people allowed to interface with the land owners or strictly with Government, if not, how were the land owners compensated?
6) What is the fate of people who have acquired and developed GPH acquired areas ?

I sincerely hope that someone with an Idea can throw more light on what the whole initiative is about.

I laf at ur ignorance. all the multistorey buildings that fill up Aba and Onitsha were not built by abuja politicians but were built by ppl like the man on the pic above. These ppl built up two big cities from the scratch to places of reckoning in terms of money in circulation and u call them jobless? Its only in Biafra that u see millionaires rising from the families of MR and MRS Nobody
If my guess is right, it cost between 60m to 80m naira to build a standard 4 storey building, any man who has attained that feat will not want that razed by acts of omission or commission hence, I can tell you for free that the urchin above is not one of them.

Why are you in a hurry to tell me about traders with storey building but forgot to tell me about majority of them that do "òsò ahia"?

Politics › Re: We Have No Reason To Buy Weapons Outside Nigeria – Onu by jpphilips(m): 10:34am On Nov 19, 2015
Serendip:
Barely one week after their formal inauguration, the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Wednesday, espoused his vision for the country, saying that Nigeria has no reason to buy weapons from other nations.

The Minister who spoke during his inaugural meeting with the directors and heads in the ministry, said Science and Tech Ministry is at the centre of three major promises of security; job creation and fight against corruption, which were made by the new APC administration.

He assured of his resolve to explore the nations’ potentials in science and technology in tackling the issue of insecurity across the country.

‘‘When we needed weapons to fight insurgents in the North East, it was difficult, even with our own money. Why do we need to go outside to buy weapons? When we have able men and materials that can manufacture most of the military equipment that we need.

‘‘India was buying weapons before but is now in a position to produce what they need, the defense industry we have in Kaduna was established at the same time with that of Brazil, but today theirs can manufacture aircraft, ships, tanks but ours will take a very long time unless we act very urgently.

‘‘Our ministry is very strategic as far as securing the nation is concerned. In the area of growing our economy, for too long, we have been a consuming nation; we import most of our needs.

‘‘We export wood but we import tooth pick, we export crude oil and import petroleum products, we export cocoa but import chocolate, this can be very disturbing.

‘‘The missing link is that the key we need to open the door for prosperity is missing, despite having all it takes to be a great nation.’’

In terms of economy, reducing poverty, creating jobs, ‘the Minister maintained that science and technology are vital in actualizing the objectives of the government and promised to leverage on the available opportunities to achieve the objectives.

source:http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/we-have-no-reason-to-buy-weapons-outside-nigeria-onu/
Give us ministerial position, now you have it, after visiting an AK assembly plant in Kaduna you think Nigeria has no need to import weapons, Mr Onu, AK 47 is obsolete as far as modern warfare is concerned.
If you have plans of strategically positioning Nigeria to manufacture light arms, that will be a good idea but don't deceive Nigerians with petty rhetorics.
Politics › Re: Is Nigeria Really A Zoo? – According To Buhari & Kanu by jpphilips(m): 10:20am On Nov 19, 2015
moderation2020:
When I listened to Radio Biafra for the first time, I had a lot of misgivings and disproval about the methods of IPOB Radio Director – Nnamdi Kanu, as a result of his use of strong words. He had this style of arrogance and an air of rooted animosity that seems to be coming from a man that has a total hatred in him. I loathed all these and decided never to listen again.
But what surprised me is that after the first day, notwithstanding my misgivings and disproval of his methods, I found it difficult to stop trying to listen again the next day. One may be surprised to believe that after disapproving of his approach on first contact, I still decided to listen again. The answer is simple. I leant some heartbreaking-stack-naked-truth behind those strong words, some of which I already knew but couldn’t believe why nobody was speaking about them. I continued to tune in daily to learn more truth until it became a passion, I got addicted to listening because everything I heard was the truth. And what made this man very special is that he told the truth, no matter whose ass is gored. In his words “We will remain resolute before our enemies, whiter than white and whiter than snow”. I love learning, I guard my mind well enough to avoid indoctrination or undue influence over my mind, but I love the truth.
People began to congregate, a day without hearing Nnamdi Kanu’s voice became like a wasted day, if Radio Biafra goes off air for a day; people will go sick for a week. That alone made a strong case for the power of truth.
I will not say all the truth I learnt about Nigeria here, but I will suffice all to say that I learnt the irreducible fact that TRUTH is the only price to set people FREE as expounded in the Holy Book – Bible (You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free)
I learnt that it is fallacy for foreign people to be telling Africans that all we need to move forward is good leaders. Nnamdi Kanu argued that no leader is good, but the law compels them to act good even against their choices because they are not trying to be in conformity with law out of their own goodness, but out of the fear of the wrath of breaking those laws. That is why the interest of everybody in civilized worlds is protected irrespective of race, gender and creed. But in Africa, mostly Nigeria, the law is made for just a select few, and the poor masses.
I know many will wonder today why Nnamdi Kanu has within the shortest time on Radio turned the mind of the oppressed Biafrans into strong followership, even when people like Uwazurike, Tompolo, Dokubo etc has tried and failed over the years. The answer is simple – He spoke the truth and remained resolute even at the point of possible death. He refused to succumb when others failed through compromise of accepting money and little comfort in lieu of what they believed to be fighting for.
To further buttress the irreducible power of truth, which is of course my main reason for writing this piece. I witnessed first hand, the protest in Aba today the 9 th Day of November 2015. I experienced that for the first time in Aba after the 1929 women riot, Aba was shut down and at a standstill. Nigeria had always counted and betted on the fact that the Igbos are too serious with their Business to close their shops for a whole day. It worked for them over the years until Nnamdi Kanu came on Radio Biafra and told them that the mentality of “Buying and Selling” was sold to them to continually hold them in perpetuity and oppression. At first it seemed it didn’t work when a youth was shot dead in Ariaria by a trigger-happy Hausa Policeman but Aba refused to heed the call by Nnamdi Kanu to shut their shop for a day. He continued to hammer on the truth until he was arrested. The TRUTH began to dawn on Biafrans. I have seen a full stadium in a football match, but I haven’t seen a crowd like the one I saw today, a multitude. I see no need to give it a number so that it will not seem as if I am trying to justify my point. But the funny thing is that these lies that has kept Nigeria backwards and undeveloped for over 55years has become part of their DNA that even when the truth is staring them in the face, they still prefer the lies.
It speaks volumes to learn that a group of people has turned up in millions all over the South East and South-South to protest the detention on one man, yet Nigeria Media like National Dailies and TV Stations (NTA in particular) has refused to air it or write about it even for a day. That tells you all you need to know.
A ZOO?
The next pressing and burning issue is the incessant habit of Nnamdi Kanu calling Nigeria a Zoo. The big question is – IS NIGERIA ACTING LIKE A ZOO? In Igbo tradition, when a fellow man calls you a bastard, you may pick a fight. But the wisest thing to do is always going back home to ask your mother “Who is my father?”
A zoo in my definition is a man-made habitat where the animals are kept to give them false comfort of still living in their natural habitat. Most times it is either to keep them from extinction and/or to use them as a tourist site for the purpose of satisfying man.
In the case of Nigeria, the only thing that makes us different from Zoo in the natural sense is that we walk on two legs, eat cooked food and wear cloths. Besides that, one can clearly observe the similarities that make a zoo what it is. Therefore I see his term as a metaphor. Examples.
Nigeria is the only country that has sold oil for over 30years and still have up to 80% living as paupers.
Nigeria is the country where a politician can steal a total allocation of a State and go scotch free.
Where there are 4 international standard refineries but they still import petrol products because few men benefits from the process.
The country where past leaders have working private refineries but the country lack one.
Where the state of hospitals are in shamble, no medical treatment because the few rich people can fly abroad to treat themselves.
Where a politician can be brought to court with 50count charges and go free if he can give the right percentage of the loot to equally corrupt judges.
Where a man said that he will soak monkeys and Baboons in blood if he loses an election and went ahead to do it by killing innocent Nigerians in the North and still became the president.
Where a man says that an attack on Boko Haram, “a group of terrorists” is an attack on the North and still rose to lead same country without educational qualification as prescribed by the constitution of Nigeria.
Where they are two laws of Sharia in the North and Circular in one country of much ethnic, religious and cultural diversity.
A country where only people from a particular part of the country (Biafra) are adjourned corrupt in office whereas their counterparts from the North and West do worse looting and nobody even mention it.
A country where admission into universities is based on the State you come from.
A country where over 3million innocent people were starved to death for asking to be free in1967, and to date the matter is still being swept under the carpet.
A country where a supposed head of anti-crime fighting body stole all the money in the EFCC treasury and goes free because he is from the Northern extract.
A country where people are clamped into prison for mentioning Biafra or running a violent free protest, whereas people from the North kill at will in the name of Islam and go scotch free.
A place where you must denounce being a Biafran before you can get a federal contract like Sunday Oliseh did to become Super Eagle’s coach.
A country where people like IBB, OBJ and Buhari still boast about committing war crimes and still walk free and detect the fate of the country.
A place where a particular part of the same country does not have right to build any industry to make sure they are never self-reliant.
Where coal mining was banned to make sure the particular area of Biafra become unproductive.
A place where you are told that your brothers are your enemies whereas the people saying it are the ones killing you.
Where Cattle headers are free to carry AK47 around and have every right to kill, encroach on your land to feed their cattle even if it means grazing down your cash crops.
A place where the word of a president if above the order of the Supreme court on the right of citizens.
No good roads, No clean drinking water, No infrastructure, No good hospitals, No employment, No good education. But one of the highest world oil producing countries with two houses of law makers whose salaries is 4 times higher than that of the America’s president and yet they have nothing to shoe for it.
Where a particular group of people has been forced to abandon their land to foreign countries because surviving in Biafra has become a crime.
Where you drill oil from a particular region (Biafra) and use the proceeds to enrich and develop the North, leaving the area producing the oil to lay waste in use through environmental degradation, poverty, oppression and neglect.
A country where people are arrested and locked up for listening to Radio Biafra or having the App on their phone.
Where a man was discharged by the court for committing no crime but remained held by DSS for exercising his human right to freedom of choice and association.
With all these stated above, one wonders why Nigeria was made to satisfy the interest of another.
What was in Buhari’s mind when he called Nigerians “Monkeys and Baboon?”
What more do I need to count? Nigeria has blinded and blanketed people in lies for long. Now people has heard the truth and seen the lies. I don’t think it is going to be possible to continue to hold them. What we need to do is to do the needful. FREEDOM. Educated people are easy to lead but difficult to drive. They had drove Biafrans in the time of their ignorance, now that Nnamdi Kanu has given them education in truth. Free them.
Ijaws, Ibibios, Ikweres, Izons, Idomas, Igalas, Ibos, Effik, Urhobos, etc has learn that they were never enemies with their brothers but were only told so and has decided to reunite. Which power can stop the spirit of resolve and ideology? The time to be wise is now before the inferno consumes all that breath in Nigeria. LET NIGERIA GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD AND RIGHT THEIR WRONGS.
Biafra is a land with no defined and agreed territorial markers, where productive people are co opted against their will to form an alliance with unproductive people, such arrangement they (Biafrans) denounce in Nigeria.
Both Biafra and Nigeria are Zoological republics by your definition so get us something else to spend the weekend with.

Politics › Re: 26 Amazing Facts You Need To Know About Diezani by jpphilips(m):
1. She has not used pathos nor appealed for anyone’s sympathy. She is just a sick woman that even delayed her hospital photos till she had a slight break from the chemo. While, in office she was undergoing chemo in the UK. The cancer seems to have progressed.
Kerosene explosion has killed more Nigerians under her watch, every life is equal hers is no different.

3. Sick people are prosecuted. Buhari’s army even court martials dead soldiers. Deziani has not told anyone she cannot stand a trial.
Exactly!! that's the change we fought for, get used to it.

5. Deziani is facing ZERO charges in the UK. The National Crime Agency said they had NO plans to prosecute her.
What she committed in Nigeria is different from the charge she is facing in the UK, go and read the news!!

6. The Nigerian Senate cleared NNPC of any fraud under Alison-Madueke as petroleum Minister.
The 7th Senate was a cesspit of thieves, a few bribes here and there can get desired results, their verdict count for nothing!!

7. External world-reputed auditors, PriceWaterHouseCoopers, audited Diezani’s NNPC. They did not find her wanting.
You did not read that report, so I understand your ignorance, PWC said they had no access to the NNPC books, the little info they got was from the other IOC's, the verdict at the time was "inconclusive", reason Buhari ordered for a fresh audit. Even at that, madam frog eye vomited $1.4b as short fall in NNPC remittance into the federation account, imagine if PWC did a full audit.

8. For 6 months, since the media lynching began, Buhari, Oshiomole, and associates have been unable to bring up charges against her.
You don't decide for Mr President when to charge you for an offence, you better not commit it at all.

9. We understand that more international auditors have been commissioned to investigate her. The silence from the All Progressives Congress (APC) is deafening on this. Could it be they are finding ZERO evidence of wrongdoing?
The Audit is in progress it is not right for the Government to preempt its findings.

10. Six months after Buhari took office, No single indictment traced to her!
Investigation is ongoing, how do you expect an indictment?

12. The SUBSIDY FRAUD Buhari and associates accused her of, they are paying the same amounts she paid even when crude oil price has been halved.
Without giving us the figures of what frog eye paid and what Buhari paid? who do you think you are talking to? are you related to Nnamdi Kanu?

13. It is the same arrangements for refining fuel abroad, and so on that NNPC is still using under Buhari The same contracts and idea Diezani signed.
It is not the same arrangement stop being f00lish, Voltron and co are back with new contract and Nigeria is getting more products with by products converted to more products, all middle men like Madueke/Jonathan's AITEO have be removed, the National swap quota is maintained while local quota goes to the refineries unlike frog eye who grounded the refineries such that all Quota goes into the swap agreement so that AITEO their middle man benefit.

14. Buhari having shot from the hips, banned all the vessels she approved to lift crude oil. All the vessels have been given a clean bill of health, by the same Buhari, and cleared to continue lifting crude.
Who gave them a clean bill of health you? I have never seen any of them since Buhari became president, If you have any Idea what Madueke and Jonathan used those vessels for, you will hang yourself, let me give you a clue of what those vessels do in Nigeria;
as reported by shell

https://www.naij.com/61747.html
http://punchng.com/news/powerful-nigerians-behind-oil-theft-shell/

16. Fuel scarcity was minimal in her time of service with prices remaining constant even through Christmas period.
Without showing us data of how long and how many times in both administrations? where do you think you are?

18. The oil theft has not abated since she left, showing the intractability of that malaise and that she is not to blame. As a matter of fact, oil theft has increased under Buhari.
How do you know this? where are the figures from the previous administration and the figures now, reported by the oil giants?

20. Again, not one “subsidy cabal” has been linked to her or her company, the way Lagos tax collection companies are linked to Tinubu and Fashola.
Do you expect Jonathan's government to catch the subsidy thieves that work for Madueke's company? wake up!!

21. Buhari and Nigeria in six months have not been able to show how removing her from office as Petroleum Minister has led to increased earnings in anyway. They have not told us the production quotas declared under her were short. It is same volume of crude oil production under Diezani that continue under Buhari.
You are an ignorant toad who doesn't deserve any audience in the WWW. Jonathan's government dissolved the FEC which she is a member of, Buhari did not meet her in office let alone removing her, without showing us any data, how do you expect us to make such comparison?

22. There is evidence of fraud against Fashola placed on public notice by his successor ranging from grossly overpaid for websites, boreholes and footbridges paid for but never built. There is a standing judicial decision against Amaechi in Rivers. None yet on Diezani Madueke.
Overpaying for a website is negligence not fraud except when the over paid proceeds ends up in Fashola's pocket, then it becomes a fraud, hope you have been educated.

23. Evidence of the Monorail of Amaechi and Fashola trains are there as monuments to their failure. Diezani successfully fixed four refineries to very appreciable extents that Buhari was credited wih doing them with body language. While Amaechi’s monorail has been declared a waste of state resources and moneys being voted to clear the billion Naira worth of debris, None of Diezani's project have been question til date.
The MD's at the NNPC at the time in a desperate bid to save their jobs confessed that they fixed the refineries in house without the consent of Madam frog eye who vowed that a TAM will never be awarded, that is a sure way for AITEO to remain in business.

24. Nigeria has in six months paid N62 Billion to a company which owns REMITA from the TSA funds. The transaction have been flagged by the Senate and populace. With same Saraki in the 7th Senate, None of her project has been flagged til date.
Senate reported 25b where did you pull out 62 from? Buhari has ordered a reversal confirmed by the CBN governor, something that has never happened under jonathan who fired Sanusi for blowing the NNPC whistle at the time, that is the change we voted for.

25. While people say “the courts have not declared them thieves” on Fashola and Rotimi, those same witches and wizards have condemned (without any charge even brought against her) THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND ONE OF THE MOST EDUCATED AND ACCOMPLISHED WOMEN EVER IN NIGERIA. Ever, ever, ever!!!
Don't let the emotions around your groin area take a hold of your sense of reasoning, "if cancer is an STD, Patience Jonathan will be worried by now"

c. She is THE FIRST FEMALE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF SHELL.
You must be high on menses

d. She has held THREE MINISTERIAL POSITIONS SINCE 2007. Transport, Mines and Steel, and then the position Amaechi and Tinubu can murder someone over PETROLEUM. Buhari is stepping into her shoe as petroleum minister. This woman has put in 8 years of meritorious service to her country.
Dis service to her country i will say

e. SHE IS THE Ever FIRST FEMALE OPEC PRESIDENT.
OPEC is not a serious organisation, how much is Brent crude today? what policies did she push at OPEC? how many new members has she been able to co opt? did she succeed in increasing the Nigerian OPEC quota during her reign? what exactly qualifies that as an achievement?

You are just a poorly educated jobless youth who has resorted to blogging your emptiness for a living because sane organisations find you empty and unemployable. My heart goes out to you.

Take a good look at the young man in the first picture, look at the shop where he earns a living, a petty trader selling second hand spare parts, do you expect a scavenger to have adequate education?
This Biafra madness is fuelled by urchins who are poorly educated and have nothing to show for their hussle, how will such a person care about what he stands to lose? he that is down fears no fall, the picture is clearer now.

The only reason why Nigeria fought with us in 1967 was crude oyel.

When the crude oyel dries up, the north will not waste hundreds of thousands of her youth fighting Igbos because of 'We SS' people. The Yoruba will never sacrifice her youth because of you either then you will understand the difference between khaki and leather.

Nuff said.
Benjamin Adekunle was an Ijaw man, who gave these homeless rats access to the internet?
