Xetima: Let Edo be. Afterall, Niger let go of Bakassi with the oil talk less of Edo. Let us focus on important things and less of irrelevance. Edo people are not just few guys on NL. At the fullness of time, the real Edos will determine where they wish to be.
Basic truth is Nigeria as currently structured cannot stand. We need a new nation where we are free to develop as we wish and utilise out resources as we deem fit not by someone in far north Owning asset on my back house. Yet run it on my face because if fake population and force. Thus us 2015. The World has moved on from conquering territories and controlling them as you like. Congregation of block heads, how much oil is proven in the Bakassi Peninsula? I am yet to see any pro Biafran who has basic enlightenment, let me help you guys for free, when you hear anything on Radio Biafra, open a thread and ask people if it is true, most of you have no functional heads as such require all the academic help you can get. Little wonder most of you are touts. |

Xetima: I have noted that none of the agitators of the Biafra republic has given an idea of what the Republic should look like. I am offering my suggested proposition for inclusion in the soon to be born republic.
1. Resource control: 60% derivation for all oil producing and other solid mineral from any people. 40% contribution to national purse
2. Educational opportunities: Free education for all students from Elementary through to High School. University education to be subsidised and educational loans repayable in 10 years after graduation.
3. No more educational quota. Admission would (by merit only). Same applicable to federal and provincial appointment.
4. Revert to parliamentary system which is cheap than the expensive president I'll system
5. Right for self determination with 51% referendum.
6. Have provinces with full capacity to hold their own laws and related activities
7. Developing at least 5 Seaports in Calabar, Koko, Warri, Port Harcourt and Onitsha in land port within 2 years
8. Political structure and elections: Rotational Prime Ministerial office amongst all federation regions. This modalities to be worked out in due course.
9. Provinces: Revert to original provinces before state creations but retain current local authorities with provincial premiers and legislation
10. Revenue generation and reconstruction: As a result of the proposed republic, many people may like lose some of their economic means. The new republic should repay all verifiable losses to returning Biafrans to rebuild their businesses.
These are but a few of my suggestions. I know some people will not like this, but if you do believe that Biafra is achievable please share your thoughts. Finally, I am from Delta but I support this course because Nigeria does no longer belong to all but a few begots and cabals. What will the South East contribute to the Biafran purse, fake drugs? oil producing indeed I dey laugh. |

Or maybe you don't know that Rivers state is made up of 70% of ethnic Igbos,Igbo speaking people and Igboids? Well, on the internet you may be right, where I am in PH, your ignorance stink!! Aboriginal Igbos in Rivers state occupy just one Local Government out of 23, if 1/23 gives 70% by your mathematical standard then I am afraid you need to go back to school. I am more interested in the failure of world power to curb a Terrorist group called ISIS yet berate our efforts in dealing with Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria.
They hate to see us succeed without their help. They are quick to stir up their amnesty international group to accuse us of human right violations.
ISIS can do whatever they want with you, I don't care!!!
Kudos to GEJ on his efforts on Insurgency. Kudos to PMB on his efforts on insurgency. Long live the Nigerian Army.

kushe: I have been away from this forum for a minute, but I just can't take the foolishness of nigerian youth anymore. For all of you asking for the head of MTN,I hope buhari doesn't foolishly listen to yo all.how can you charge a 1 trillion dollars fine, for what! It is alarming that NCC would slam such a ridiculous amount on MtN,in other words they are educating the masses on how to reap where you have not sown. As a disclaimer,I am Nigerian,I have never owned an MTN line and I do not work in telecoms . NCC are a bunch of jokers,MTN wild be extremely foolish to pay this fine and Nigeria will be far too myopic to endorse the collective death of enterprise. The joker called Mugabe seized land belonging to white Rhodesians for generations when he had nothing else to offer after years of kleptocracy, but with the redistribution ,where is Zimbabwe today? Didn't Venezuela nationalize the oil companies, where are they today? The foolish guy that started their headache is dead and gone but the people s till dey suffer. What could be more moribund than Nitel and you people are hoping SA wild abandon their sweat so like Nigerians do,u can joyfully eat a meal prepared by another.afterall we hear stories everyday of hardworking men dying only for their loved ones to be rendered incapacitated by hawk eyed scavengers that call themselves brothers of the deceased. Even if they gave you a trillion dollars!you would squander it without the ability to work hard, develop infrastructure and plan for the future.i hope MTN leaves so you can understand what a tsunami of economic disasters feel like.Apart from GT bank,I seriously want to be educated about how many globally acclaimed brands have emanated from Nigeria. What a shame, but post arpatheid, the South Africans are still schooling us. Just tell me the worthy replacement of dstv ,I laugh at the level of economic ignorance exhibited here by supposedly well educated but in my own opinion broader picture bankrupt Nigerians. Nigeria has the highest number of !diots in her population, I know this for a fact without any statistics, just see how they drive on the road you wont be marveled at the level of !diocy inherent in most of them. MTN should go then what happens to their staff, will NCC absorb them? what happens to indirect employment viz running cost, service contractors etc? These are the same !diots looking for jobs, they quickly forgot that MTN has thousands of base stations equipped with Generators and transformers serviced and maintained by companies that can employ them. Rules are rules but when you want to mete out sanctions you do a comprehensive assessment of the situation, no doubt MTN should be fined but $5.2b? that's insane, it may make sense in developed economies but not Nigeria struggling with acute unemployment. NCC chairman deserves to be fired!! |

Sorry no offence,is not protectionism is call self defence. Quit deceiving yourself, to a black person expensive means extortion, nobody actually care about service delivery, if MTN would survive the next one month here is a test I want you to do.
Recharge an MTN line and a Glo line on the same day, subscribe for monthly internet and have enough for 1 minute call daily for one month.
Each day you wake up for the 30 days you subscribed, visit Nairaland for 30mins with both networks and take note once you log off, make a minute call with both networks, you will be amazed what you will get.

lestat: To all rejected, dumped, used, confused, lonely, dependent, emotionally immature, mentally immature, aggressive, single people on naioraland who are all bashing marriage and consoling themselves!!! listen!!!
I work in a company with 70% expatriates and even they will tell you marriage stabilizes one better and makes you a well rounded human being!! I get this all the time because i am in my mid thirties and still single!! yet in a much as i would like to convince myself that being single rocks the reality is that being single and unmarried sucks!!!! it sucks so bad it stinks!!!
How i would love to come home to a smiley face of a wife but things just didn't go that way, may have been my fault or the people i met who knows? thats life sometimes life serves you lemons and instead of ranting make some lemonade!!!
Contrary to your post i actually welcome these constant criticisms why? because they keep me on my toes and constantly remind me what i should be doing!! you see its easy to get lost in the life of being single but let me tell you all
THERES NO JOY IN BEING A SINGLE PARENT NOR IS THERE ANY JOY IN BEING LONELY!!! so i would rather keep having people tell me ythe painful truth than get stuck in self delusions of intentionally wanting to be single when in reality i had some innate issues that needed fixing hence why every good person left me!!
For example.. i have a colleague who has serious temper issues , she wont ever agree to anything except its her point of view, now guess what?!! SHE IS SINGLE AT 34!!!! (No surprise there) now at every opportunity she sings out that it was her choice to be single, that infact she has decided to be a single mum!!! wow!! such self deceit!! the truth is she cant keep a relationship because of her attitude!!
Mine is temper i have a bad temper and that sort of used to scare some women away, imagine me f00ling myself into thinking that being single is a choice instead of working on myself?
All i am saying is no one wants to be alone!! no matter how much they deceive them selves or convince people, when they are inside their bedroom alone, they all cry and think over past relationships that they self sabotaged!!!
So stop whining and work on yourself, then maybe you can get married Its great for one to work on oneself no doubt about that but doing that to be marriage relevant? I beg to disagree. The married ones are back in the game, they merely graduated from fornication to adultery nothing new, does it mean that the married ones have no bad sides? People marry for different reasons, I really do not have an opinion about marriage trust me, relationships, perhaps |
Romance › Re: A fellow Nairalander needs your advice before crossing the rubicon. by jpphilips(m): 12:17am On Nov 04, 2015 |
Iamthewatcher: I met my fiancee some few yrs ago. I've agreed to marry her but there are factors I still want to give a final consideration before signing the dotted lines. These are:
1. She is not literate but willing to go to school. I never dreamt of marrying an illiterate when I, myself is a graduate. Her waec result is nothing to write home about. In fact she wasted her time in secondary school as far as I'm concerned and when I asked her why she was such an olodo, she quickly blamed those she lived with. She said because she was more or less a maid then, she hadn't much time for her studies and that's why she failed woefully. When I met her, her use of english was zero and I had to exert much effort to bring her to the level where she could converse freely with me at least in english. She retook her ssce and credited all subjects except math.
2. She's 2yrs and 3months older than me. Some argue that a woman will age first when older and that's the reason men go for younger women or at worst, their age mates.
3: She sometimes feel inferior to me cos' of my literacy and polished way of going about my stuff.
4. She has a fat tummy. This I perceived to be an upshot of her eating habit before I met her. Can you believe that it was when I started staying close to her that I discovered that she doesn't drink water after eating. Maybe she does that very much later. She was an expert in devouring meat with her friends and never exercised. I also had to teach her to drink water first thing in the morning before taking breakfast. I discovered that her mouth was always dry as a result of this disgusting lifestyle. If she wants to have a word with me in low tone, I do perceive some offensive odours from the mouth sometimes. All this are changing slowly now cos' a damage of so many years can't just be corrected overnight. I'm putting much effort into rearing her cos' she's a wife material.
There are one or two other drawbacks I won't like to go into now as the aforementioned factors are the ones that baffle me the most. I sometimes get so annoyed and start abusing her. But she also has her good sides that even attracted me to her which are: 1. She is well-mannered. 2. She can cook very well. 3. She is very hospitable. 4. She's very respectful. 5: She's pretty and fair. 6. She's a wife material. 7. She's reserved.
The crux here is that we are presently, not on the same page as far as being learned and refined is concerned and I want to marry someone who'll be very refined as well. Though we stay as friends but I feel she doesn't measure up. So my people, if you were in my shoes, can you go ahead and marry her despite these bad sides?? Pls and pls, helpful comments will suffice. which is the bad side? |

blackprowler: If people of Ibo ancestry don't come out to fight the Biafran lunacy, well, I'm really sorry. In the '60s, when Ibos were dying, no one asked if you supported Biafra or not. The greatest losers would be the Ibos who know that this is lunacy and keep quiet. Am I the one to fight it out for you, so I can be discredited as non-Ibo?
The Biafran experiment was not an Ibo secession from Nigeria - it was the greed of one small boy who was entrusted with a part of the country to govern, an area which contained hundreds of tribes. By force of arms and propaganda, he seized the area with the connivance of people of his ethnic group. Meanwhile he claimed modernity with British education but was absolutely a typical African tribal ape. His tribesmen paid with great suffering and yet, 45 years on, the African in them makes them unable to learn their lesson. We now have about 10 states where it used to be one region for one criminal to seize. Need I say more? PS: cramjones is factually wrong on a number of points. What does he think Jan 15th is for? Don't bother about that, Nigeria will be the referee while sane Igbos and ND will deal decisively with those IPOB Urchins, just relax! you know they are actually preparing to fight Nigeria not knowing that they will never survive the first round Sane Igbos Vs IPOB, then, IPOB vs Niger delta. Your post said the Eastern House of Assembly was suspended. I did not dispute that. All I did was to point out that an Eastern Consultative Assembly was the set up in its stead, to give Ojukwu the consensus he felt that he needed to declare Biafra. I was not the one who set up the Consultative assembly, neither was I a party to their deliberations. So in what way did I misinform the public?
The legitimacy of that Consultative Assembly was not the issue under discussion. Whether they possessed any powers or not, was not the issue being debated. But did they exist, yes! And excerpts from articles posted by other sources online were included. You did not even read those articles that were cited?? Abeg, dump the aggression, o! There is absolutely no need for it.... You actually think we are debating, imagine the f00l!! Go and get the basic education first to know that an Assembly does not exist in tandem with military rule at least not in Nigeria. Go and read to know that the Richards constitution that created the Eastern assembly was suspended immediately after the 66" coup, no way they would have re emerged to give Ojukwu a mandate in 67", those are the rough edges of your enlightenment you need to trim. I cant debate with you, you are not fit for purpose, too hollow for my liking.

PDP members are fully emptied into APC, if there is 85 percent concentration of a substance, the scientist can confirm that the metabolism would have acclimatized into new organic substance.
Scientific proof:
The concentration of a solution is often expressed as percent concentration by mass or percent by volume of solute in solution. Percent by mass is calculated from the mass of solute in a given mass of solution.
Percent by mass = mass of solute / mass of solution X 100
APC = APC (15%) / PDP (85%) Resulting in higher concentration of PDP.
APC, party of professional liars and career propagandist. - Lie Mohammed. Mass of Solution
