@op, you sound very desperate
Of course I am Desperate to see a prosperous Igboland not a weak Biafra that Igala tribes men will be using for Shooting practise.
United we stand!!
Cameroon is a "peaceful" neighbor today not because they dont have interests but they don't have what it takes to conquer the length and breadth of a united Nigeria, that is what unity keeps on the table and a comparative advantage too, the moment you balkanize, you become vulnerable, a lot of countries have lived through that Agony and today they wish they never did, If the SE has scrutinized their interests and feel Nigeria is no longer in their favour, the right thing to do is to mandate their representatives in the upper house to push for constitutional amendment, so far, since 1999, Nigeria has over 50 amendments in her constitution that is achievable.

The new amendment will make room for a plebiscite, that is what Democracy entails, Nnamdi Kanu who lives in britain should know better not inciting people against the state.

I want the kinda crowd that participated in Monday's street demo to travel straight to the residence of all the SE representative in the upper and lower house and mandate them to pass a bill of amendment that will accommodate a plebiscite that way, it will be legal to conduct a referendum.

With a referendum we will know the actual number of people who want this madness to continue, I say this because it is disrespect for unlettered illiterates to create anarchy for people who careless about their agitation.

Mis information will only thrive when people like us are dead, so anyone who wish to spread propaganda and concocted lies must be weary of some usernames that will bury your lies.

IS THE SOUTH EAST REALLY DEVELOPED?

We need to define development, South east has a robust economy no doubt but I ask, is it not what they are about to destroy with this agitation, what was left of the SE in 1970 after the first agitation? is that what we really want?

When I visit the SE, I see a lot of individual efforts more than I see collective government responsibility being fulfilled, is that what we confuse for development? over 20yrs most places in Enugu rely on tankers for clean water unlike the 80's when the government provided water for everyone through the water board, such collective infrastructures are lacking in the whole of south east not just Enugu.
Enugu and Anambra are the only SE states that can boast of good road network the rest are cesspits of varying degrees of gullies, from Abia to Ebonyi, so why are we confusing individual efforts with development?

You built your house, I build mine is not development but individual effort, when you start benefiting from Government/cooperative provided low cost houses with Govt/cooperative provided access roads, central sewage, incinerator, electricity and security only then will you feel you are developed, as we chat, one of the most expensive estates in the SE Ngozika estate in Awka lack these amenities that people elsewhere consider basic yet we call that development, I disagree completely.
The South eastern Governors owe the people more than Abuja does, the fire power of the street demo of last week should be directed at the incompetent Governors that have left the South east comatose over years.

ARE THE IGBOS REALLY MARGINALIZED?

I am happy that Nnamdi Kanu did not succeed in twisting that part of our history, the Nigerian government won in battle as such there are consequences in defeat, I make out time from my busy schedule to enlighten people who are willing to learn on the consequences of their agitation, you don't go to battle and lose then expect your life to remain the same, there is agony in defeat Igbos should know better, let me take you on a tour round the world to buttress this situation so you can go and enlighten those urchins that blocked my office last week.

Japan today is not allowed to conscript their own soldiers beyond a particular number monitored by the united states who have repackaged the situation as an alliance yet by proxy undermining the sovereignty of Japan, do you have any idea how many military bases the US is maintaining in Japan? as at today, the US has 3 airforce bases (Kadena, Misowa and Yokota), 3 Army bases (camp zana, forte burtner and Tori station), 13 marine corps bases (courtney, fuji Gonsalves etc) and 4 Naval bases. A total of 23 military installations in another man's soil.

Can we see clearly that Japan is Under US occupation militarily (what Nnamdi Kanu will call military bondage) never mind their level of development and accomplishments, do you think the Japanese will not want to return to the pre WW2 era when they had a military that could match the US, soldier for soldier, combat for combat? pearl Harbor rings a loud bell, today they have lost that privilege thanks to their defeat at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Let me take you to South America, since Argentina was defeated in the Falkland conflict, the Argentine Government is denied of all the revenues accrual from that prosperous Island that originally belonged to them as a matter of fact, they are behind a territorial marker set by the British, Argentina MUST seek the permission of the British to use or Visit an Island that originally belonged to them that is the agony of defeat.

Lets go to the Middle east, since Palestine never won Israel in any of their recent conflicts, West bank and Gaza strip has remained under perpetual occupation and subjugation, it is so bad that as little as food rations and medicines has to be approved by Israel before the people of Palestine will feed, that is the Agony of defeat.

Let us go to Europe, I need not say much here but for the sake of enlightenment, below are the conditions given to the Germans after their WW1 defeat, the document is called, "Treaty of Versailles", Nnamdi Kanu doesn't know this much I suppose.

1) Germany had to accept the Blame for starting the war (Clause 231). This was vital because it provided the justification for harsh treatments
2) Germany had to pay £6.6 million (called Reparations) for the damage done during the war.
3) Germany was forbidden to have submarines or an air force. She could have a navy of only six battleships, and an Army of just 100,000 men. In addition, Germany was not allowed to place any troops in the Rhineland, the strip of land, 50 miles wide, next to France.
4). Germany’s colonies were given to Britain and France, Germany was forbidden to join the League of Nations, or unite with Austria.
5) SAAR coal fields belonging to germany was given to France to operate for 15yrs
6) Poland will be given a corridor into the Baltic cutting off East prussia from Germany
7) Posen a very rich farm land given to Poland free
cool Danzig will be owned by the League of Nations (our modern day United nations)
9) Alsace Lorraine will be given to France free
10) Eupen and Malmedy will be given to Belgium free
11) North Shelswig given to Denmark free
12) Germany was not allowed to unite with Austria which leaves Germany as a tiny, land locked desolate piece of land

You see young people, Nnamdi Kanu is feasting on the ignorance of most of you, can you compare what US did to Japan or what the League of Nations did to Germany with your 20 pounds saga?

If Bi@fr@ was Japan, Imagine if Nigeria sends military administrators to rule over all the states in Bi@fr@ with military bases everywhere to ensure you guys don't cough, for your importation business and the likes, you must seek permission from Nigeria before you can do that, how would you feel? japan has lived through that agony for over 50yrs.

If Germany was Bi@fr@, can you imagine Half of Bi@fr@ land will be seeded to Cameroon and the rest given to Benin Republic, how would you feel? Germany lived through that between 1914-1948, matter of fact the wall of Berlin actually fell in 1991, can you extrapolate the agony of the Germans in such situation? that is the Agony of defeat, in your case you were given 20 pounds and you are complaining, bros, it could have been worse, Nnamdi Kanu knowing that you have no idea the terms of the Versailles treaty, sold you the 20 pounds saga and you hated Nigeria for it, that is what propaganda does to feeble minds.

Bi@fr@ was not punished enough for their rebellion going by what was obtainable at the time, I believe that is why there are still individuals who want to cross that line again, make no mistakes, this time around no one can predict what lies ahead.

I have written here severally that Nigeria will take all Igbo properties in Nigeria if they get Bi@fr@, a lot of people don't believe me do you know why, because they are not enlightened enough to read the land use act of 1978. That law gives Nigeria the legal Justification to do that and not even United Nations will fault that, because Nigeria had the law before Biafra broke away hence it will not be adjudged as a form of punishment, be careful what you wish for because very few of you can actually see the end of your Bi@fr@n Journey.

They claim Igbos are the most developed yet they beg for development again, are they not speaking from the two compasses of their mouth?
Instead of brooding about who will develop you, why wont Igbos synergize to form a common political front that will project the Igbo interest beyond umbrages? afterall, Nnamdi Azikiwe and Nwafor orizu were all igbos who operated at the highest level of governance in Nigeria, go back to that formula and you will get what you deserve, how do you expect a government you are rebelling against to help you?
How many votes did you give to Buhari to help you? Jonathan a Bi@fr@n (by Nnamdi Kanu's conjecture) you supported fully, what did he do to develop you?
If your own brother can not develop you, is it anarchy you will use to get your enemy to develop you? at what point will Igbos realize that Jonathan was a failed project, dust themselves up and re strategize on how to define their interest around APC?

Pushing for Bi@fr@ will be both political and geographical suicide, don't say I did not warn you guys!!

You are one of the folks who come online pontificating with an air of objectivity when in reality they are neither here nor there.

You can use as much verbosity as you like to attempt to cover up your hypocrisy but surely your mission is DOA. Pass this feedback to your backers.
If you feel you can measure up to half of the wit of NK try commanding a counter demonstration in SE and see if you will not be shamed.

But note that the mere thought of Biaf... will continue to cause terrible nightmares, heartaches and madness to enemies and naysayers.

The real enemies of progress are the proponents of the status quo in the Nigerian system, and are accustomed to spreading lies and wicked propaganda.
Anyone who supports in the smallest ways the sustenance of a criminal system that has only brought shame, waste, killings and backwardness, should be charged with crimes against humanity.

I'm not surprised at your deceitful disposition towards important discourse in the land. You are really living up to what you stand. But one thing is certain, that your continual use of cleverly crafted deceptive words to mischievously divert attention or misrepresent the reality in the land will surely boomerang, sooner than later.

'One Nigeria' is just for self benefit - anybody or tribe who is benefiting from it, be it in civil service, politics and business through monopoly, backed by evil structures put in place by past rulers will not agree that Nigeria should be restructured or otherwise. Many people have been sacrificed and are still being sacrificed to keep Nigeria one at the expense of justice, fairness and equity with crass looting of the treasury holding sway.

The moment the consciousness of a people is awaken, no abuse or threat can stop them. The road may be long, the process may be costly, some might even pay with their lives, but more than ever important before is that the people want liberty, justice and equity. No man on this planet can hold them back...
That is the clear difference between you and I, I tabled a position based on verifiable historical facts and you have this weak unresearched anecdote to reply me, find your mates!!
When you can dig deep into the annals of history, I will be glad to bow to your superior arguments, till then, you remain a wailer till Buhari prove otherwise.

What is shocking is that a referendum is the same thing that all the Biafran agitators want. This same referendum is what Ojukwu proposed for 3 years of the war so that hostilities would end. But everybody already knows what the outcome of the referendum hence they shout 'one Nigeria' just like Gowon did.
Another history spinner, Ojukwu wanted referendum how and when? what action of ojukwu implied that by acts of omission or commission? you just finish from a roofless school and jump on the internet typing crap.
The final negotiation that Ojukwu premised his Biafran declaration on, the transcript is everywhere, online and offline, the credibility of that transcript is not in doubt because Nkrumah who released it has no other interest except peace.
Ojukwu never proposed a referendum at the Aburi conference how you came about it is most baffling.
Biafran Propaganda is fueled by acute ignorance.

Have you forgotten that soon after the civil war the wicked hypocrites connived and robbed Easterners of their hard earned money in banks and gave £20 to only those who could prove they had bank accounts?
Remember how the parasitic ingrates proceeded to use the stolen funds to buy up the numerous companies established by the colonial masters, looting the companies and rendering them bankrupt. And that was the beginning of the collapse of the Nigerian economy. Till date the economy is yet to recover.

Where is the census result that showed Igbos are 40m? Have you conducted a plebiscite to know what number is pro and against?
Funny enough, educated Igbos are so angry yet when they voice their opinion you label them Yorubas.

On the contrary, there is actually truth in propaganda. But truth becomes propaganda when it is adulterated with some lies and then twisted in such a manner as to achieve a pre-conceived dubious outcome.

Pure truth cannot brainwash a person, pure lies cannot brainwash a person. But when truth is garnished with some underlying lies and dubiously twisted to fit into what the target audience wants to hear, such a mixture becomes a dangerous tool of havoc, such a mixture is called propaganda and such a mixture can get even some of the smartest people brainwashed as long as the preacher is good in his delivery.
Adulterated truth is no longer truth but lies, there is no truth in Propaganda simple! !

A concerted set of messages aimed at influencing the opinions or behavior of large numbers of people.

There must be an element of truth in it for it to be influential,

I tell you, the fear is real. I have insiders within the zoo army, the feelers I am getting is that their chiefs are scared to their bones, they don't have the numbers or ammunitions to handle a Biafran revolution right now, Boko Haram have decimated their numbers and depleted their military budgets.

They want to handle this Biafran ish as peaceful as possible, as they can't afford to engage in war at two fronts, seeing as they have been stretched to to the limit by Boko haram, and their military budget keep dropping as the global crude oil price keep dropping and Nigeria economy bound to enter into recession.

Their rulers are shitting in their pants, while the loud mouths stay in the safety of their homes talking trash.
You didn't say anything new, make no mistakes, those touts aint ready to die, mark my words, I spent nearly the whole day watching them, the sound of police vehicles scare the sh!t out of them, one wounded protester will end this madness real quick, trust me on that one.

"Nigeria is not fit to be called a country, all the institutions that make a country what it should be have all collapsed, thanks to Nepotism and other corrupt tendencies, for you to expect you have a line of defense in a failed state is very ignorant of you from a pragmatic point of view".~ jpphilip

From the above quote, we see the hypocrisy of jpphilip like those of other Arewa-Oduanistans exposed.

He knows that Nigeria is not fit to be a country, and that Nigeria is a failed state, a fact Biafrans knew and sing of since 1966. but he was only able to see that because a person of non Arewa-Oduanistan origin, GEJ was the president.

Now that His fellow Arewa-Oduanistan is in power, Nigeria has ceased being a failed state not fit to be a country, she is now an eldorado that must be forced down the throats of Biafrans.
Nigeria failed under Jonathan, we have exercised our civil right to remove him through the ballot, next is to give Buhari time to fix it, that is what sane people do not blocking major federal roads tempting the patience of law enforcement agents, where is the hypocrisy?
Are you guys protesting to save the failed Nigeria state?

Those Aba boys protesting in PH, how did they cross Obigbo because the last time I was there it wasn't motorable, have they protested the state of that road?
These are wailers who lost in the general elections exercising their Barbaric right on the streets of PH, how am I supposed to patronize them? outside Anambra, all the SE Governors are owing salaries, most of them are dependents to the affected civil servants, when will they protest that? rather they chose to protest over the release of a lunatic, what else is misplacement of priorities?

The point where you wrote Buhari been the messiah has not been proven true except we see something that proves so. There is no truth in Propaganda, it is fueled by ignorance and ignorance alone
Politics › Radio Biafra ; A Desperate Tool Of Misinformation by jpphilips(op):
It is no longer news that some vultures are bent of feeding on the Ignorant carcass of the Nigerian minds, it doesn't come as a surprise though because a lot of organisations and individuals have thread on that ignoble path in the time past, first was the politicians, second was religious con men and this time around leaders of separatist movements.

For the sake of emphasis I will beam my search light on Radio biafra and its anchor Nnamdi Kanu the self professed director of IPOB.
As an ardent listener of radio Biafra, I thought at first that it will take a lunatic to believe the vituperation and clouds of misinformation oozing out of that man, how wrong was I?

This thread will dissect and dissolve a lot of popular lies being fed the public through Radio Biafra, it will also rewrite the unfortunate history of Nigeria that was Bastardized by this unscrupulous individual whose motive like his predecessor Ojukwu remains obscure.

Nnamdi Kanu through Radio Biafra claim that Biafra was in existence before the arrival of the colonial powers;

Severally, he has made that unfortunate statement and severally I thought he will correct himself yet he remained resolute in peddling false hood. He went as far as editing some historical documents on Wikipedia to mask his gullible followers.
what does this lie intend to achieve?
He wants Igbos to fuel their Biafran quest with a sense of belonging and aboriginal ownership very smart indeed!!
The bad news is that a peruse of Nigerian archive maps clearly shows with no ambiguity that there was no region inhabited by human beings called Biafra before the arrival of the British, it was only the water ways closest to the continental shelf that was named "Bight of Biafra" at the time, this area in part is now known as the Gulf of Guinea.
Biafra was first pronounced as a region/country in May 1967, 7yrs after the British left.

Nnmadi Kanu through Radio Biafra claim that Gowon is a Northerner who by his actions dissolved the former Regional government that robbed us of True federalism as it is today the wish of every well meaning Nigerian

This is another lie aimed to Bias the minds of the oil producing Igbos against the north. This lie is a big distraction and wouldn't take anything to disprove, Nnamdi Kanu forgot that decree 34 that dissolved all the regions was promulgated by the late Aguiyi Ironsi an Igbo man during his short reign in 1966.

Nnamdi Kanu through Radio Biafra claim that Igbos are better off with the Niger deltans as allies than the Yorubas

This lie is designed to engulf the actual prosperous Niger delta into Biafra because the South East has next to nothing to offer the Biafran alliance. The truth is that the events of 1970 speak otherwise, all the regions in Nigeria gave back to Igbos everything they left behind during the war except the Niger delta who declared abandoned properties on Igbos, that history is not too long for Kanu to forget, furthermore, Ojukwu was dealt his fatal blow at the battle of portharcourt where his only formidable foe was Isaac Adaka Boro a son of the Niger delta BTW. One of the most celebrated sons of the Niger delta after Ken Saro wiwa, his effigy lie at the heart of Portharcourt mile one area.
That historical loss was the beginning of Ojukwu's failure during the civil war.

There has never been any synergy between the SE Igbos and the Niger delta in our history except of course the recent over whelming support Goodluck Jonathan received during his failed reign as Nigeria's president, how Nnamdi Kanu suddenly developed love for the Niger delta and their oil is the biggest fraud that must be resisted.

Nnamdi Kanu claim that Biafra is Achievable through peaceful means;

This is another lie designed to con the Igbos in diaspora into contributing their hard earned money for his failed cause, I thought that as civilized persons, one will want to ask Nnamdi Kanu, how exactly?

The only peaceful means of achieving Biafra starts with a referendum after the group representatives have filled their application at the UN. after which a guideline will be set which must be met before a date is set, here are various independent regions that have passed the Referendum phase, some are ready to exist as countries while some chose to exist as sovereign territories;

Eritrea, East Timor, Iran (UN unsupervised), Kashmir, Singapore, Croatia, Crimea, Scotland etc, before a referendum could be held, the home country in our case Nigeria will have it enshrined in her constitution before the UN will enforce it, where such provisions are not made (like the case of South Sudan) the UN will prevail on host state to do the needful, now, this is what every educated person knows, how IPOBulls!t wants to achieve their own Biafra is beyond me.

furthermore, the UN is clear on the indigenous right act and land right acts, how Nnamdi Kanu convinced these people that Biafra will stretch beyond the South East of Nigeria is mind boggling.

Till date, IPOBullsh!t has no set date for a referendum neither do they have any application in the works in the UN, can someone please call these jobless youths to order!!

Nnamdi Kanu claim that once Biafra is restored, Igbos will retain their possessions in Nigeria.

This lie aims to lure successful Igbos to believe they have nothing to lose joining the Biafran struggle, truth is enshrined in our historical post civil war, in 1970, the moment Nigeria suppressed Biafra to surrender, Nigeria made the rules, first, Nigeria declared "No victor no vanquished" on one hand, on the other they took all their money in the bank and returned only 20 pounds, if Nigeria could seize Igbo funds at a time when the richest man in Africa was an Igbo man, much less properties.
While pondering over that, recall that 1978 land use act clearly bestowed on the Nigerian state the right to land ownership, how Biafrans think they will decide what happens to their properties in another country is sardonic to say the least. Abandoned property saga is an indelible part of our history, it will serve a good guess what will be obtainable in the near future.
Every country has the right to decide her citizens right, Cameroon can not decide it for Nigeria neither will Biafra. The moment land ownership becomes a citizen right in Nigeria, all the C of O's belonging to Igbos will become invalid.

Nnamdi Kanu's followers claim that Niger delta will get resource control in a biafra alliance

This is a masked lie that is used to lure the ND into the unproductive cesspit called Biafra, while carefully hiding the fact that the SE has absolutely nothing to offer in a Biafran alliance, I have never heard Nnamdi Kanu mention "Niger delta oil", what he wails is "Biafran oil", how do you expect resource control from someone with such warped mind set? when will Kanu tell his minions that his village does not produce oil?

Nnamdi Kanu said Mungo Park did not discover the River Niger

In one of his broadcasts, the extremely dumb IPOB leader claimed that Mungo park could not have discovered the River Niger because his great grandfather utilized it in their historical times.
That statement shows the shallowness of his knowledge, people like nnamdi kanu fail to understand that while his great grand fathers were swimming or fishing the Niger River, they had no idea where the River started from nor where it headed.
Someone in 1795 to 1798 sailed from Guinea where it began to its tributaries in the Bight of Biafra (currently Gulf of Guinea). Three years in the river to educate Nnamdi Kanu and his grandfather where the River originated from and where it is headed.
Today, a dumb son of that grandfather is disputing a verifiable fact.
Why does Nnamdi Kanu lie so much?

Nnamdi Kanu through IPOB claim Buhari Is a pedophile for taking Aisha as a minor.

This is another lie that has earned Mr president the incongrous nickname pedophile throughout Nnamdi Kanu's broadcast before his incarceration, Nnamdi Kanu whose mathematical prowess remains in doubt could not subtract 1989 (Aisha's marriage year) from 1971 (Aisha's birth year).
How such elementary subtraction eludes a revolutionist of national repute remains an enigma to be solved by wardens of Kuje prisons!

@OP

You seem not to know that there is high level of unemployment, I have said it severally here, the number of jobless youths in Nigeria can spark a revolution, these semi educated jobless people fall for any propaganda that flies around, Nnamdi Kanu was not the first person to utilize that ignoble tool, Nigerian politicians use it as well, why do you think that it took Nigerians 12yrs to realize that Buhari was the messiah?
why has the likes of Donald duke who proved to be an excellent governor not made it at the federal level politically?

How do you think that pastors collect from the poor and live in opulence? Nnamdi Kanu, Nigerian pastors and Nigerian politicians use one weapon and it is called "propaganda" Propaganda feeds on the level of ignorance inherent in the Nigerian youths so I am not surprised when Nnamdi Kanu started and I have no doubt how far he will go.

read comments on Nairaland and you will understand how empty an average Nigerian youth is, their level of ignorance is at a crescendo, take a time out and read yahoo comments on serious political discourse and compare it with what Nairaland is offering viz Nigerian youths, you will weep for Nigeria.
