wetin u dey talk self mr. Man. Do you think terrorist r armed robbers who u can trample upon. For instance look ISIS n look @ wat dey r doing in iraq n syria in syria it is civilian that is fighting, even with american airstrikes it has been challenging. Yes yes I agree d govt v failed in several efforts to curb dis insurgency but is not easy. Terrorist r people who willing to die fr deir cause. Don't open ur mouth n talk without 1st using brain. God bless Nigeria!
I don't see you as someone using his brain either, you just read the CNN headlines and think you know something.
What do you mean when you used the word "challenging" to qualify the yanks air strike on ISIS?

It is on record that since the airstrikes began, ISIS has not gained new major territories so what is challenging about that?

will you compare ISIS advances of the past with what is obtainable today?
I really don't know why you referenced ISIS in your submission, but if I caught your innuendo, you may likely think you are comparing ISIS with BH, while I laugh at your ignorance and emptiness, synonymous with Jonathan's supporters, I still have to bring some pertinent issues to your notice.

In the words of Anderson cooper, ISIS is a trained, organised, wealthy fighting force.
Be reminded that the leadership of ISIS comprises of battle tested, experienced shiite Generals who served Saddam Hussain but were deposed after the 2003 invasion, can you speak same for boko Haram?

It is equally an open secret that the alienation of RUSSIA by NATO has led to proliferation of advanced hardwares in the black market, Can ISIS afford them? well, The Yanks have ranked the ISIS group as the richest terrorist organisation in the world with a monthly earning of $2b from oil theft,

The Iraqi army left behind by the yanks got better training, better weapons and more war experience haven fought the taliban for over a decade alongside NATO forces, yet ISIS humiliated them, in less than 3months ISIS has gained territories across borders, even the Nigerian Militia wouldn't have done any better, If Boko Haram was anything close to ISIS, you and I will be sleeping in a UN relief tent in Cameroon by now

So where exactly are you getting your fictitious comparison from? Just to cut our incompetent militia some slack? or the spineless commander in chief who has declared another 4yrs for balkanization of this country?

let me be clear, If Jonathan remains the president after 2015, with his endorsemet of corruption and military excesses, Nigeria will concede more territories to Boko haram by the end of 2019 you and I will become refugees, mark my words.

oapbrown:
@OP...thanks for bringing up this brilliant issue...but it's sad that this one reason is why many relationships have failed and many marriages ended...
Now, I'll say, relationships have fundamental rules esp when it's heading for marriage. The partners should portray what they will do in marriage before they're actually married (sex excluded). The only reason why u shudnt cook for yur guy is if he's not serious about ur relatnship or u have great doubts about him. Becos relationship is what gives a foundation for marriages. I do not see anything wrong in a lady cooking for her guy whenever she's in the guy's house or preferably, she cooks the food from her house and brings it to the guy. According to the OP's analysis, 5days visit in a month. I assume the guy does his cooking when yu're not there or finds another means to eat. Why not let him have a feeling and a difference betwn d time yu are with him and when yu're not? This helps yur relationship to be stronger. It's certain dat some guys can't cook, so if u don't cook for such guys, they look for someone who can cook for them all the time yu weren't around...and dos girls cud even go do the extra**. We're in relationships to become better pple, so if yu can't help a guy cook, how much impact will yu make in his life? Obviously, yu can't help with his loads of official duties...especially when his work takes a lot of his time. My point is cooking for a guy and doing some chores for him at least 90% of the time yu're together isn't a bad idea, because everyone needs assurance and security before entering into marriage. A lady, irrespective of her income or what she gets from her parents that cud make her not take from her guy, would always wanna be sure that her guy can sort out her needs when they marry and so a guy wants to be sure that his woman will cook good meals, with happiness even when they're married.
My advice to ladies, pls, if yu always allow yur guy take u out to eateries everytime and yu can't stop him, yu'd be so used to it but the day he finds a girl dat can cook at ease and won't allow him take her to eateries often, I bet yu the guy will start changing and could finally get stuck. To those who sees cooking as being a slave, I doubt if yu can maintain a home without good food. To those who are afraid of being submissive, there's no successful marriage without submission from the wife. The Bible says, 'wives submit yourselves to your husband' and men should love their wife, and not vice versa.
Finally, I have seen a situation where a guy had to chose betwn two ladies because of food. It sounds weird right? But it's true. The two of them cooked well, but one cooked more often than the other. The guy was our neighbor when we were still teenagers. I believe everyone desires a happy home irrespective of their status and career. Therefore, we should not do things because our friends do them, we shud always find out what works best for our relationships. Ladies should read their Bibles more and find out how to keep their homes and stop raising egos that will make dem end up being single mothers. Thank you all!
you really have time, the OP is a product of a broken home, I can bet on that.
If her home isn't broken, ask her to ask her mother what roles she played before marrying her father, ie if the OP has one.

speaking on behalf of most reasonable ladies, I think ladies don't demand their dating partner to cook for them, I think the guy in question can still make use of soft drinks and snacks since it's just a visit, for crying out loud, his house is not a restaurant. Although the guy can SELDOM in fact RARELY cook and it is more honourable for ladies to dissuade their dating partner from cooking just in the name of entertainment. A lady must never cook in house of dating partner else she might start losing her worth or value and this goes along with the biblical words which compare a woman without discretion to a gold tied to a pig snout (cant really remember the exact words but we can at best form the imagery) and as someone said, you can cook that's if the guy come over to your place.
woman's worth indeed where were you guys when I was still in d game?
girls like you, haha! I just take five years of your life and I will never tell you d truth why you got served, that will prepare the ground for another sane man to collect another 5yrs of your life, on your 40th birthday, you will be in a sanctuary challenging your god to a curse.

ii. How can you play a role that you are not accustomed to? you wan be wife but you no wan behave as such...
iii. ...and this goes to all the 30+ & co ladies wey dey give men deadline for marriage, unfortunately, there are a million girls (mostly not lagos born tho) who will take care of ur man d way you never would (cos ur mama was too busy making money for d family to teach u how) that chic will take ur man and ur man will soooooo forget u exist(ed).

The moment you are admitted in an European or American university, your mission is defined.
I have said it before, 70% of unemployed Nigerians are people whose course have no bearing in the Nigerian labour market, 30% are probably guys who got unlucky and didn't get a good grade or yet to pass the employment test.

As a guy who is deeply in love and knows that giving is part of maintaining a healthy relationship, i decided to pick up 2 Samsung Note 3 at the rate of N130,000 to be paid over a period of 12 months. Good news, the birthday came and i delivered.
Bad news, just 2days after my warm heart gift to her, she BROKE UP WITH ME. REASON: She doesn't see a future, blah blah blah...family issues, cultural differences.
i'm in the second month of my payment now. still paying for my Ex phone.

Advice: Can I ask her for the phone back? i feel cheated. (To make matters worse, she even uses her new bobo as Dp's on her bbm, for a phone i'm still going to be indebted for the next 10 months.

Thank God the article said conspiracy theories. Everybody is so ready to believe there is a hidden plot somewhere while ignoring the fact that Saudi Arabia may simply be trying to guaranty its leadership in the oil market. Me I don't believe in any hidden plot or conspiracy. Its clear and open if you really want to understand.
Yea, you don't expect Saudi to rub it in the face of OPEC, there is a modified armed trade concession for Saudi within this period, transfer of technology of the F35 etc, loads of concessions, IMF has said that Saudi will no longer be safe if it falls below $81 that will give Nigeria a breathing space, Iran and Saudi are giving discounts to Asian customers, things are really at the edge.

Saudi arabia whose economy is almost totally dependent on oil is collaborating with America, now the world's major oil supplier and whose economy is non oil driven, to punish Putin and crumble their own( Saudi arabia's) economy. Doesn't make sense.
It depends on what you are looking at, America gave a secret grant/concession for the next six months to Saudi to keep supply the way it is, ordinarily, as America's shale production floods the market, OPEC's response would be a production cut to push up prices, now, OPEC's hands are tied because Saudi has refused to cut production, driving excess supply.
With the concession they got from America, Saudi has absolutely nothing to loose.

Here is valdimir suvanov's opinion on the situation

"Now, attention is primarily focused on Saudi Arabia’s stubborn reluctance to cut oil production. And we can only guess: is it directed against Russia or against the United States?"
First appeared: http://journal-neo.org/2014/10/22/saudi-arabia-s-moves-in-the-oil-market/
Hope you get the clearer picture now?

"The current situation has started generating conspiracy theories. And most analysts are trying, foremost, to understand the policies of Saudi Arabia, which clearly has no intention to cut production significantly in order to maintain the price of oil. In fact, it is the one that is capable of responding first to any major change in the market situation: it has spare capacity to increase production if the price rises too high; it is able to quickly reduce production because it produces much more than other countries (9.7 million barrels per day). But on October 8, Saudi Arabia unexpectedly lowered the official price at which it sells oil to Asia",
First appeared: http://journal-neo.org/2014/10/22/saudi-arabia-s-moves-in-the-oil-market/
Most Likely, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is trying to increase or at least maintain its market share, maintaining output and reducing the price for Asia. However, some analysts believe that Saudi Arabia’s reluctance to cut production is politically motivated. After all, one cannot rule out the option that the Saudis have agreed with the United States to strike at Russia in response to its actions in the Ukrainian conflict. Falling oil prices could lead to a serious reduction in budget revenues in Russia. One half of Russia’s budget income is derived from oil and gas exports, and gas price is in turn linked to oil prices (together this comprises two-thirds of the total revenue of Russian exports).

This is the gradual demise and collapse of the 'booming' global oil industry. The oil pricing honeymoon remotely triggered by the 9/11 WTC attack is on the verge of been over. I hope this will not throw the world into a serious financial crisis or induce another economic meltdown? Any expert/analyst on energy sources knows that the glorious reign of oil and gas, which has spanned over a century, is about to be replaced by biofuels. I won't be surprised if by 2015, crude oil sells at $40pb. Nigerians, brace for impact!
I will not say or suggest that bio fuel is a substitute for fossil fuel, it is an overstatement, bio fuels mount pressure on food production hence there must be equilibrium between bio fuel and food production.

Nothing you have said here is even remotely true about Ojukwu. For those who read this ignorant persons post. Be aware of this:
Ojukwu never forced any minority to join Biafra. The eastern Nigerian people's consultative assembly which comprised of all the Chiefs in the Niger-Delta gave Ojukwu the mandate to declare Biafra. The ignoramus also said that Ogundipe and Ojukwu reached an agreement to recognise Gowon as head of state when it is a known fact and even something Gowon confirmed at his birthday few days ago that one of the biggest problems Gowon and Ojukwu had was that Ojukwu told Gowon to hand over to the highest ranking officer which was Brigadier Ogundipe. This guy wants us to believe that Ogundipe and Ojukwu would agree that their Junior,Gowon, should become head of state? Finally, this dunce said that Ojukwu only depended on his fathers wealth and led Igbos to a war where they were killed. Mr man, Ojukwu entered the Nigerian army because he did not want to depend on his fathers wealth. Ojukwu became a successful business man in Ivory Coast while in exile after taking a loan and starting up. Ojukwu led his people in a war for freedom, many died but we the Igbos do not curse Ojukwu because we know freedom is always purchased in blood. South Sudan fought a war for many years and lost millions of lives to war and starvation but they have their own country today and they are enjoying it. But because you are a slave of 'one Nigeria',you will never understand the right of a people to sovereignty, self determination and the right of any body to choose if they want to be Nigerian or not. I'm proud of my Igbo nation that we fought for our freedom, and even though we lost, we should all remember that destiny delayed is not destiny denied.
prove to me that the eastern consultative assembly approved the declaration of Biafra?
Who were the majority members in the assembly, their party affliations and their party leaders?

Why did isaac Adaka boro capture portharcourt and parts of Bonny for Nigeria if the Niger deltans in the eastern assembly unianimously agreed to declare Biafra like you claimed?

ogundipe denounced his position of head of state in the interest of peace, why was ojukwu crying more than the bereaved?
