I'm sorry, but Ghanaians often deserve slapping; actually, not just Ghanaians, but Africans from all these useless countries up and down the continent, and they can be arrogant towards Nigerians, with much to say for themselves, although they are dependent for survival on foreign aid. But the Nigerian musician shouldn’t have physically abused anyone. Personally, though, if I were a musician, I wouldn’t visit Ghana. Nigerians have themselves to blame for patronising Ghana and then expecting sympathy when Ghana met out to them the anger they have deep in their souls for Nigerians.

Nigerian musicians need to build or buy their homes in Nigeria, nowhere else in Africa, or buy or build Overseas. Build your music studios in Nigeria; open musical instrument selling shops in Nigeria, help young poor Nigerians.

Artist travel to different countries for a variety of reasons. You can’t just sit in your home country. Could be for business, pleasure or some-other reason

Mind there are several Nigerian artist who visit Ghana, question is why haven’t any of them had this altercation with the law before? Will he have attacked a doctor in America or the UK ? Why’s he he doing that in Ghana?

But artists do fight in other climes even in Ghana stone boy pull out a gun on shatta wale.
But it is Bleep up to fight especially away from your country.
But why is Nigeria artists always going to ghana especially to meet those Ghanaian artists, time will come if they can't keep up with the fame and popularity Ghanaians and their artists will not regard them again.
I remember the beef between one Ghanaian artist and Nigerian artist, na so Ghanaian artists start to dey yab almost all Nigerian artists say they're out of trend, old fashioned, not global.
Nigerian artist should use their head for once, you don't see stoneboy or shatta wale chilling with any Nigerian artists in Nigeria but Nigeria artists are always going there.

A range of reasons, I think most of them get invited to Ghana for a feature, to perform or just to lay low and chill.

If you’re a Nigerian, the next best place you can be, close to Nigeria (language, food, culture and people ) is Ghana.

STOP DECEIVING THOSE WHO HAVE NOT BEEN TO GHANA. NORMAL GHANA FOOD WHETHER MORNING OR NIGHT IS KENKE. IT IS MADE OUT OF GRINDED MAISE AND EATEN WITH LOT OF GRINDED BLACK PEPPER WITH TINY TINY FISH LIKE DAY OLD FINGERINGS. WHAT YOU POSTED IS FOOD THAT GHANA BORROWED FROM IVORY COAST AND IN IVORY COAST IT IS CALLED FUTO. IT IS EATEN BY THE RICH WITH BUSH MEAT OR POINT AND KILL FISH, WHILE THE POOR EAT IT WITH CHICKEN. CHICKEN IS THE CHEAPEST MEAT IN IVORY COAST AND THOSE WHO EAT EVEN RICE WITH CHICKEN IN RESTURANTS IN ABIDJAN KNOW THAT THEY HAVE TO BE VERY QUIET WHILE EATING BEFORE THE PERSON SEATED NEXT TO THEM WILL NOTICE THAT THEY ARE EATING WITH CHICKEN .

Please stop being ignorant!
First of all Fufu (even the Nigerian version) first originated from the Ashanti people of Ghana. You can look it up online.

The Ivorians you are talking about are Akans who migrated from the Ashanti Kingdom to present day Ivory Coast. They rather took the Ghanaian fufu to Ivory Coast not the other way round.

Kenkey is a staple food for Ga people from Accra, but also eaten in other parts of Ghana. Depending on where you are people eat Fufu or kenkey for lunch.

Ghanaian here, let me give some context to this issue

1. After the world war, the British and French divided up German colonies among themselves. The British share of the division was known as British Togoland

2. The people in those area (alright not entirely) are mostly Ewes and speak the language as the cast majority of Togo

3. On 9 May 1956, a referendum was held for the people of British Togoland asking them if they wanted to be part of soon be independent Ghana or be integrated with French Togoland (current Togo).

4. Overall the 58% voted to be part of Ghana. Here’s the interesting part. The northern part of the territory were tribes with part of their people in Ghana, that part voted to be part of Ghana. The southern part were mostly Ewes, which was the dominant tribe in Togo voted to be part of French Togoland.

5. After Ghana’s independence they became part of Ghana

6. The government of Ghana haven’t done much about this succession tendencies, most people in Ghana laugh them off as a joke.

But Ghana is like 3 states in Nigeria. Your comparison doesn't add up. You can't compare the population of Nigeria with Ghana without also comparing their size. Actually, 30 Milla is a lot for a little country like Ghana.

Ghana has a population growth rate of 2.2%,
Nigeria's population growth rate is 2.6%

Ghana has population density of: 354 people per mi2
Nigeria has a population density of: 586 people per mi2

So no Nigeria is growing faster in population and less land for people.

Watching this and the other videos, it’s clear that the man is unhinged. You can hear the wife telling his brother not to report it. It appears to me that she was still in love with him and this wasn’t the first time he had acted in that way.

It’s a very complex issue, and I doubt reporting to the police would have changed anything. Unfortunately the way the law works in America and most western countries is that even when you report it , the police cannot do anything until something has happened.

They should have talked to him, deescalated the situation and find help.

the gas that powered their electricity? And Ghana is indebted to Nigeria in the tunes of close to a 100 million dollars. In the area of election you are right, but concerning university you goof by making a comparison about thousands of Nigerian that are in Ghana universities in relation to Nigeria. What you fail to put into consideration is what is the percent of Ghanaians that seek for higher education on yearly basis compare to Nigerians. Do I need to remind you that more than 1.5 millions Nigerians wrote jamb yearly to gain admission how many are offered one? You can see why Ghana is now the available option. In the recent ranking no Ghana university was among the 10 in Africa, but UI make the list.
I think this enough.

9 out 10 Nigerian students who study in Ghana study in private universities where the vast majority of students are Nigerian some even with Nigerian lecturers. They're practically low class Nigerian universities in Ghana. The brilliant Nigerian students end up in KNUST or University of Ghana.

Ghana is a very poor country. You have only one modern airport in the entire country, in Accra.

Here is Kumasi airport, your 2nd biggest/best etc:

I mean, it's a goat shed.

Here is your 3rd airport, Takoradi ''international''' airport.

Again, disgraceful. It's like somebody's house.

Nigeria is not your level bro. These types of airport were done away with in Nigeria back in the early 1980s.

Yet every meaningful metric shows Ghana is doing better than Nigeria. The average Ghanaians loves a better live than the average Nigerian
There are more poor people in Nigeria than any country in the world.

And if you care to know Kumasi is getting a new airport. They’re half way through the project. Even common Ho with less than 200k has a new airport

The Ghanian response is a joke

In summary they refused to take responsibility for allowing the demolition of an embassy in their country. The summary of their response paraphrased is this "it is a matter between Nigeria and a Ghanian it does not concern us but we offered to rebuild after it was demolished"

Truth is that demolition should never have been allowed to happen. The individual with a grouse should have had to go through his country to resolve that grouse. It should have been taken up with Nigeria through his country!.Ghana allowed it to happen,an attack on a foreign embassy and even gave excuses despite a police post not been far from there

Ghanian embassy lands in Nigeria should have their titles (paid or unpaid)revoked indefinately and demolished as well.Thats a ŕesponse that Must happen.Nigeria shoukd also offer to rebuild for the fun of it and put bugs they will never be able to remove unless they demolish again all over the place

The property was demolished by a private individual, not the government of Ghana. Regardless the Government of Ghana apologized and offered to rebuild it. Why should the FD even bring it up again?

By why hasn't he gone for Ghanaian citizenship? If he has wife and kids in Ghana he should get it quickly before they change the rules. Even as a Ghanaian I can agree the fee is too high.

You should have looked beyond the issues of lease. The minister didn't rebuff the accusations on how Nigerians are treated in Ghana. Payment of $600 to live and work in Ghana even when you're married to a Ghanaian is outrageous. They have really gotten away with lots of things. When Nigerian Immigration takes only #7000. I really hope the government takes a decisive actions soon.

If you are married to a Ghanaian, you can apply for Ghanaian citizenship.

I think the renewal is $60 not $600 but I agree it's a bit high. Even for Ghanaians living abroad, it costs $100 to renew your passport.

Ghana and other West African countries continue to believe redress to even actions like these can be sought, diplomatically, without resorting to media statements and related activities that have the potential to aggravate the situation further.

H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who values very much his excellent relations with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, will engage President Buhari with a view to develop immediately a framework for validating claims of ill treatment of citizens of either country, and ensure citizens enjoy the full exercise of their rights

If read the brief carefully, the Ghanaian government is trying to send Nigeria a "message". This issue can be resolved amicably behind close doors, it shouldn't be fought in the media

You are right bro. I live in Ghana. Their radio talk show and news is never complete without mentioning Nigeria matter. Pure hatred.

Four (4) reasons

1. Ghana must go, where over a million Ghanaians were deported, some died. Any Ghanaian who had a family who suffered that deportation or died will surely won’t forget. I know Ghana also deported Nigerians 14 years before that.

2. Unfortunately some Nigerians are very aggressive (we call them Patapaa in Ghana), loud and show off. These traits are generally frowned on Ghanaian culture.

3. The average Ghanaian thinks the average Nigerian is a fraud. Again this is also bad stereotype from the media and actions of a few Nigerians but I don’t it’s only Ghana that people hold such opinion about Nigerians.

4. Also because of Ghana- Must Go, there is still the perception that Ghanaians in Nigeria are still maltreated. There are a few incidents where Ghanaian movie actors and musicians have been maltreated in Nigeria.

Again all this is perception. I think the Nigerian government really needs to do is work to improve the image of Nigerian and Nigerians abroad and let people know Nigeria is not what they’re perceived to be.

They need a good media campaign to drive that message into peoples head.

They also need to sit down with Ghana and other governments to see how they can resolve some of these issues diplomatically. You can’t solve this with threats and retaliation.

Ghanaians came to Nigeria in the 80's with cap in hand begging for food hand-outs and we even accommodate them. I remember I had one Seith Agyfra staying with me then. I virtually fed and clothed him for more than three years before he returned to Ghana.

In spite of the present economic condition in Nigeria, an average Nigerian is far economically well off than ten middle-class Ghanaians put together. I therefore don't understand why some greedy Nigerians still go to Ghana to humiliate themselves.

Lol do you believe what you just wrote? Nigeria has the highest amount of poverty and illiteracy in Africa.

Let’s put that aside, in almost every meaningful statistics that measure the quality of life of people, Ghana performs better than Nigeria. So what makes you think the average Nigerian is better off than Ghana?

In Ghana we have basic school to high school and comprehensive health insurance.

In Nigeria there is only a handful of very rich people, while the vast vast majority languishes in filth and poverty.

Then I watched the video. It’s from July, this is the same story that that was posted here on Nigerian a few months ago.

There are over 3 million Nigerians living in Ghana, the vast majority of them are living comfortably there and will never return to Nigeria.

It seems some fools here prefer to stoke tensions between our two countries.

In Africa because of poverty there is very limited opportunities. Even in Ghana and Nigeria people from Tribe A will complain that people from Tribe B are taking over their lands and livelihood.

This is exactly what is happening between Ghana and Nigeria. As countries we need to think and come with better ways to improve our economic situation so people don't have to travel far and wide to earn a living.
