I want to know if frontend development is truly saturated as they Said. What advise would you give to someone who has been learning it and has gotten to midway of becoming a frontend developer? Should he stwich to something else. Or continue learning the frontend

Frontend development is probably the most popular field of programming that most beginners learn. It's a crowded space and you really have to be NOTICEABLY good at it to rise up the ranks.
So keep pushing...

For you to compete, you have to know what a CS degree holder knows, all by yourself, you just have to be damn brainy.
And If you can't learn by yourself, then go get a degree

This is a simple dictionary app where you can search for words, listen to the pronunciation of each word, see similar and dissimilar words with their meanings as a modal or see the full definitions.
Also there is a a simple game below to learn new words, you'll love it.

Programming / Is Javascript Really Bad For Data Structure And Algorithms Practice by JsScript: 6:45pm On Jul 02, 2023
Hello Nlanders,
I've heard people say things like, JavaScript and other dynamically typed language is a bad choice for DSA practice. But in my opinion, JavaScript makes it easy to implement things, like and array not having a fixed size is an advantage.
What's your take on this.

JavaScript-----15%

Pages:
- Index
- 404

Unique Styles:
- Dynamic product card on the click of a button.

- Mega Accordian(an Accordian within an Accordian)
- Mega drop down menu.
- Product Count down timer.
- Horizontal scroll via the touch of a button.
- Modula pop-up/slide in.

NB: No framework nor library were used in the making of this site. The animations and every other thing you see on the site were coded from scratch with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. If you have any questions about the site, be sure to visit our FAQ page for clarifications.

There seems to be a kinda bug in the about section, just ignore, cause it's no bug, rather, it's the Parallex effect.
For the best experience, preview on a PC/Desktop

Inputs, tips & constructive criticism would be highly appreciated, thanks. If you've got any questions, visit the FAQ page for clarifications.

Challenge me by posting a screenshot of any UI from any website or any figma design of your choice and I will replicate that design in 30 minutes, for desktop and for mobile view. I'll post my design as well as the CSS code.

I'll use just vanilla CSS. No framework, no Javascript and no external libraries..

Alright, try this out, just the UI

Programming / Re: HELP! My Exposure To My System Due To Coding And Research Is Affecting My Eye. by JsScript: 10:29pm On Oct 06, 2022
Hannania:
Hello guys! So in a 24hrs period, I spend close to 14hrs attached to either my system or phone. Got really busy from sept last year when I got my system. Elite book G3. The problem now is, my right eye is cloudy, and sometimes gets red.

I love tech and research, and that's what I can do in a room for 1 week straight without getting bored. I'm not fully a nerd, but probably my introverted nature contributed to it.

I got anti blue ray glasses around dec, but no much difference. Please for those with similar predicament before, what's the remedy.

I'll appreciate if modes push this to front page. Not ready to lose my sight.

There should always be light when u r coding, using ur PC or phone when everywhere is dark is the main cause, cuz the light rays is directly entering ur eyes
Programming / Re: A Pomodoro App Built With Vue Js by JsScript: 1:40pm On Sep 27, 2022
GREATIGBOMAN:
Nice UI

but I think it will be better to add some more things

Like when I set a particular duration say 20 mins and want to switch to another one.... I should be notified that there's one I have already.

Currently now if I set a Timer.... the app just allows me switch to another one without the previous one being completed.

It doesn't notify me of current timer after.

Even more cool I think each pomodora should have a title.

And I should be able to see history of the Pamodora I've done with their titles.

Also there should be this.....
I would believe it will be nice if the app has an auto version..... Like once I set 15 minutes, and 15 minutes elapse.... the app should pause give me like 10 mins break depending on how I've set it.... after 10 minutes, it automatically starts again .

There's no limit to the amount of minutes I can set.... if I set minutes to 2500000 it just breaks the design of the app.... I believe if u convert every minute great that 60 to hours, and hours greater than 24 to days, then weeks then months then years n so on... it should fix that.

Last but not the least.... since there's no user authentication yet.... The current app should work with Localstorage.... so that if I set a time and refresh the page.... the timer will still continue from where I left of instead of starting afresh

Thanks GREATIGBOMAN for ur feedback,
Actually there is a time range for the max and min values, but it's not working on mobile, I had to do some coding to enable the min value but forget about the max value.
And for the other features you mentioned, I'll look into that.

I no understand..

Pomodoro App are straightforward time management tools — giving you a digital way to track 25 minutes, followed by a 5 minute short break or 15 minutes long break. But the time can be customized to suit your needs.

A pomodoro app I built with Vue js.
According to Wikipedia: The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a kitchen timer to break work into intervals, typically 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Each interval is known as a pomodoro, from the Italian word for tomato, after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer Cirillo used as a university student.

The two Else-ifs aren't working together. Each of them works if remove the other one. Only the last part works if I include both of them. Is there anything wrong with the syntax? Do you have a better way I can achieve the same result?

why don't you just use input type number in your HTML, instead of trying to check if input is a number or not
