calabaman: Cc catapult,
I understand your points.
Else, why would I be able to mount a toyota camry engine in a nissan quest.
But I'm more interested in the statement - "Made in Nigeria"
Sorry if I'm causing a ruckus as I maybe wrong.
I guess it's succinct to say any car you may say is "made in xyz"
Is actually just assembled in xyz.
#we learn everyday.
But in retrospect ...why can't the durable/affordable brands like - ford, toyota, honda, vw use interchangable parts.
In my younger years I built some gaming desktops with different parts, so I understand assembly pretty well.
Thanks for your feedback. BRANDING. The way it works is this: You set up a company and create your brand (e.g., Calabaman Helos, makers of helicopters). You assemble your team of engineers (which includes people from Nigeria, South Africa, China, Serbia, Israel and France). Your team comes up with the design of a helicopter, determines what will be made at HQ, and comes with a plan to source the other parts. You may then reach out to Pratt and Whitney and give them specifications for your engines: whether it's turboprop or jet engine, the capacity, etc. P & W will produce an engine specifically for you, they may modify something they already have. Then you will approach another company in China and give your specs for tyres. And on and on like. These parts are made for you so they will bear the Calabaman Helos logo. Meanwhile, in your company's HQ in Eket, your team of engineers produce the frame of the aircraft. A company in Lagos may produce the seats. And then it all comes together at HQ where your team assembles all the parts: a made-in-Nigeria helicopter! This is what happens all over the world: with every car and aircraft, but with aircraft especially. |

calabaman: Mr Catapult.
Don't know about you, I'm in Nigeria
Not the United States.
May I ask if the parts to be assembled/manufactured are fabricated in Nigeria? Nowhere in the world do you make anything as complex as a car of an aircraft from scratch in one place. It's always a matter of ASSEMBLING. Many of the aircraft engines used in the US, Japan, China, etc. are made by Rolls Royce in the UK. The wings may be made elsewhere. And it will be assembled at HQ. Take some time to read up about this. |

Mccollins042: 😂😂😂 I am no more taking you seriously, "height has nothing to do with being fat" and later talks about BMI. If you think these pictures I showed you is a picture of an obese man then you should go and learn what obesity is. Height and weight determine your BMI. Height has nothing to do with being fat: a tall or short person can be fat. That was my response to your post which implied that he isn't fat since he is tall. But why do I bother? You lack basic comprehension skills. |

Nigerians don't need the govt to tell them to stop using generators, nobody likes generators, they will stop on their own when they have steady power supply from the govt

Mccollins042: If that is fat to you for a 6ft 3 man then I'm sorry for you Height has nothing to do with being fat. Tall people can be fat, and so can short people. You use height only when you're taking measurements and calculating BMI, not when you're making a visual assessment. If you take Trump's BMI, this one we're seeing, he'll be in the obese category. You don't know anything. |

Righteousness2: Russia, the United States, Hungary and ISRAEL voted against a Ukrainian resolution proposal at the UN that calls Russia an aggressor and calls on it to withdraw from Ukrainian territory to its recognized borders.
To all those who were shocked by Israel’s vote in the United Nations against Ukraine:
Just a reminder that in the last decade, Ukraine voted against Israel in the UN General Assembly 122 times, abstained 41 times, and voted in favor of Israel 0 times. And so it's time for revenge. I hope you're aware Russia has expressed support for Hamas and Hezbollah. Always interesting to watch you maximalists. |

femisplash: Putin's invasion in Ukraine required the 193 member body to reafirm Kyiv's territorial integrity and called for Russia to withdraw it's forces in tune with the UN's charter. The resolution was passed but had less support, many members abstained to avoid a tricky tension created by Trump. Washington's diplomats had urged other countries to vote against the measures, and instead support US potential resolution. However, US took a neutral stance on the war. It would have seemed unthinkable seeing US and Russia on the same side of a coin given past antecedents. While many countries abstained, Nigeria took a stand and voted in favour of Russia's forces moving their ass out of Ukraine 's territory. It however, affirms the strength and will power of Nigeria being a power house, never cowering, never intimidated. I recalled a former foreign minister advising Tinubu to not get into any friction with Trump. Damn the consequences!, Nigeria is the giant of Africa. And behind the wheel is a man who does not grovel at the feet of no one. Following the suspension of USAID, the President immediately ordered the release of $1billion for the continuity of medical programs and an additional $3.2million to procure HIV treatment packs. That was a big punch right back at Trump's face. Additionally, he instructed the ministers of foreign affairs to make sure Nigeria deportees were respectfully brought back, with directives that they must be flown down to Lagos specifically. The US Ambassador got the memo and did exactly that. Mr President never go sulking to Trump as did the Presidents of Brazil, Mexico and Colombia when their citizens were deported in handcuffs. The world is witnessing two raving megalomaniacs rolling over each other in a couple's bed while Gaza and Ukraine are being forced to remove the beddings and do the laundry. We will see if Europe and BRICS could see through their skulls when these two blocks meet to make their decisions. Forget BRICS. Russia owns that one. It's only Europe we watch now. |

Instead of the professor to conduct his own experiments to counter the one made by the other guy, he is just making unsubstantiated statements. Professor indeed. Thank you. Am beginning to believe the rumor that Putin rigged the election that brought inTrump in his first term as president
The victory of Trump in the November elections was a big loss to Zelenskyy even more than sleeping Joe and the democrats combined
But to look at the from another angle Ukraine could be blamed for the war for trying to join NATO, something US will never accept with Mexico or Canada At what time was the process of joining NATO kicked off for Ukraine? But I agree with your other point. If Trump was in power, food prices won't have gone up in Nigeria and my street won't have potholes. |
