happney65: May the soul of arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu forever rest in peace.
Himself and Govornor Seyi Makinde APC and PDP,put politics aside and set up the Western Nigeria security corps (Amọtẹkun) As of today,Oyo state has the most funded Amọtẹkun force in the SW with also heavy funding of the police force and other security agencies.
But today,A yoruba speaking state is over ran by terrorists with a Yoruba President in power but he is looking the other way because he doesn't want to offend his Northern masters
Arakunrin at a time even called the bluff of Buhari's Minister of justice,Malami and told him we are having Amọtẹkun or nothing. That was a real Man who stood up for his people. What is the usefulness of you being in power when your people are being killed?
But when we talk, and tell you Tinubu does not represent the interest of sensible yorubas but his pocket, they will say we are omo ale yoruba
Between us and them, who is the omo ale now?
Shior Yes, God bless Arakunrin wherever he is. Man did his job. |

The West keep pushing climate change after they use the then available resources to improve their own economy, knowing fully well that African don't have access to enough 'clean energy ' they are forcing us to abandon what we have for what we don't have Where are the sanctions forcing us to do or abandon anything? Very soon we will start blaming "clean energy" for our underdevelopment. |

Who is worse than him or under who else has Nigeria been thrown into the kind of pitch darkness it is currently in despite all the tariff increases? About the darkness, every one of them. In terms of electricity availability, no power minister (not Engr Bello Suleiman, not Professor Chinedu Nebo [probably the worst], not Fashola, not even Bola Ige comes close to Mr Adelabu. Mr Adelabu had a sustained run of power availability - until around two months ago when things went kaput again. Under previous ministers, any period of respite we had was much shorter than we had under Mr Adelabu. On increasing tariffs, yes, there's a point there. The Tinubu administration is a tariff administration - so there goes. No, Mr Adelabu was not a good minister of power. The darkness he has brought in the past two months is unpardonable. But to say he's the worst is plain wrong. |

helinues: Buy bicycle that won't consume fuel. Having a car is a luxury . How much was minimum wage when the price of fuel in those regime was low, how much is dollar to naira exchange rate?
I really don't know why the opposition and their supporters in Nigeria remain stagnant in their narrations.
Are the price of things across the globe reman the same for decades now. They should stop arguing slow jare gotnel: This analysis is very shallow and lopsided. World wide, prices of all commodities are going upwards. In Nigeria, the minimum wage under obasanjo was #7,500 Under Yaradua, the minimum wage was around #11,000 Under Jonathan, it was #18,000 Minimum wage under Buhari government was #30,000. Under Tinubu government, the minimum wage is #70,000. Life styles under each regime is not the same thing. The situation around the country is very tough, we all know. However, the economic gospel must be the true issue for the campaign. Bolded is the koko. I was trying to explain it to one you Tinubu guys the other day - I think it was Image123. The miniwum wage to fuel price ratio was far far better than it was under every government since 1999 than the present one. Compared to everything (dollar, fuel, transport, healthcare, etc.), the minimum wage today is the lowest it has ever been. It's also one of the lowest in the world. Mr Tinubu's government is entrenching poverty. |
Celebrities › Re: Zinoleesky Parts Ways With Naira Marley, Launches Independent Label by JuanDeDios: 7:55am On Apr 25 |
kingjayzeelan07: Nigerian singer Oniyide Azeez Adigun, popularly known as Zinoleesky, has officially left Marlian Music to start his own record label, Zinodict Music.
The singer confirmed the move on his social media pages, where he also announced a new single titled Nostalgia. This decision marks the end of his long-standing partnership with music executive Naira Marley.
The move comes after Zinoleesky shared cryptic messages on Instagram, expressing feelings of being “taken advantage of” in the music industry. He stated that he was standing up for transparency and fairness for all artists.
“I am standing up not just for myself but for every artist who has ever felt powerless. We deserve better,” he wrote.
His departure has drawn significant attention, especially after years of controversy surrounding the label. In 2023, his former labelmate Mohbad died shortly after leaving the group and complaining of ill treatment. At that time, Zinoleesky remained silent, prompting criticism from some fans.
Now, exactly two years after Mohbad’s passing, many netizens see Zinoleesky’s exit as a major turning point in his career. While he did not mention Naira Marley by name in his complaints, his decision to go independent suggests a total break from his former leadership.
https://leadership.ng/zinoleesky-parts-ways-with-naira-marley-launches-independent-label/ I saw Zelensky. Wondered what he had to do with Naira Marley. So there's a musician called Zinoleesky. Is he Russian or something? |

Jakumo: This man comes across as a law-abiding citizen who armed himself with an illegal pistol NOT to commit crimes, but to protect himself from criminals who carry firearms and can only be deterred by an armed citizen who is willing to stand his ground and reject the role of a submissive victim.
The cardinal mistake made by the man caught with a pistol, was his decision to arm himself with an illegal handgun, rather than going through the proper channels to obtain a licensed shotgun or rifle. Outside of serving and retired military or police officers, NO Nigerian is allowed to own a concealable gun, be that a pistol or a shortened shotgun. For home defense, a standard shotgun is far more effective than a pistol, in trained hands.
Hopefully the judge slated to try this case will temper justice with mercy. He probably just made that up on the spot, knowing how plausible it is in today's Nigeria. He's far too steeped in crime for a judge to buy it. I'm sure they'll throw the book at him. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: How Side Chicks Boost Economy - Ghanaian President Mahama Explains by JuanDeDios: 10:08am On Apr 23 |
brain54: Mahama is a very good public speaker with a likable personality and charisma...
Ghanians are fortunate to have him as leader. He has really stabilized their economy after the last regime of akufo ado left it almost completely ruined and in a state of devastation.
Even the present Iran/isreal and US war hasn't affected their economy much.
I love his vision and leadership and sometimes wish we had few leaders in Nigeria who had some of his personality and attributes.
Ghanians should be proud! Mr Mahama was lucky with gold prices and a couple of other things. Once a major commodity helps force down inflation, your economy is good to go. The universe aligned in his favour. Mr Akufo Ado far less so. |
Politics › Re: How Wale Edun Lost Out To The Chagourys And Finally Bit The Dust by JuanDeDios: 6:31pm On Apr 22 |
seunmsg: This is part of the price you pay for serving at a time when the economy is extremely fragile and on life support. Wale Edun is an hardliner who wanted to stick to full implementation of the reforms no matter how painful and difficult things are. He gave priorities to debt servicing, payment of salaries and funding overhead. Capital budget implementation suffered and that was his major pitfall. What could he have done better?
In 2025, we had a budget of N54Trillion and barely generated N10Trillion. So, what magic can he use to fill that kind of gap? Like I have said severally on this forum, fiscal discipline is a big issue we must address if we want to move the country forward. Sadly, political interest and citizens expectations keep making the Executive and our lawmakers to pass crazy budgets that can't be implemented. In 2026, we have passed another N68Trillion budget that we all know can't be funded. National Assembly alone padded the 2026 budget with about N10Trillion through constituency projects. So, what magic do you want the Finance Minister to perform?
Wale Edun has done his best. He came in at a time when 97% of our revenue was going into debt service and net foreign reserve was barely $3billion. Today, Our revenue can now adequately take care of our debt servicing, salaries, pension and overhead. He steadied the economy and returned us back to the path of growth. Taiwo Oyedele who took over from him is also a very brilliant guy. He lectured me at Wyse in 2009 and I know he is very solid. This is the time for him to bring his brilliance and years of experience to bear in managing the fiscal side of our economy. Let's see how he can manage the actual financial reality with political and citizens interest. I think squeezing the country to suck out funds for the two elephant project superhighways is a major factor. Something had to give. It's sad we're ruled by people who put politics above all else. Yes, Mr Edun did his best. |
