Don't mind those people. They usually have excuses to give for their seasonal bloodlust. If it's ain't Nigerians selling draaags to their citizens, it would be Africans taking their jobs. Generally, South Africans are more prone to violence than Nigerians. Unfortunately, apartheid played a role in fostering an atmosphere of violence. But SAn xenophobia is not rooted in culture. It's rooted in scarcity and the perception that foreigners are coming to take over their space and jobs. That's why it can't be solved by preaching.

An original marriage certificate is only issued once. The certificate is the only thing validating the legality of the marriage. Go look up all the importance of the certificate. It will definitely come back to haunt them in the future. Why not use another symbolism.
Only one certificate is issued. Yet, according to the story I read, two documents were torn. And what they tore wasn't the government-issued marriage certificate with the national court of arms. (Note they'd be breaking the law if they tore that one). So it does appear that they were only symbolically tearing their "marriage certificate" to make a statement.

*Suspect In Custody

President Trump was rushed off the stage, and he and his Cabinet members are all safe.

Updated 12:03 AM EDT, Sun April 26, 2026

What we know
• President Donald Trump said a suspect “armed with multiple weapons” charged a security checkpoint before shots were fired at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner tonight in Washington, DC. Trump was rushed off stage, and he and his Cabinet members are all safe.

• The suspect — who is in custody — will be charged with using a firearm during a crime of violence and assault on federal officer using a dangerous weapon, US Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro said. Authorities have identified the suspect as a 31-year-old California man, law enforcement officials told CNN.

• CNN’s Wolf Blitzer was outside the ballroom at the Washington Hilton when he saw a gunman opening fire just a few feet away. He was among the dozens of attendees who took cover as law enforcement swarmed. A US Secret Service agent was shot in their protective gear and has been hospitalized, sources said.

MaxInDHouse:
I only showed you the practical sense behind what happened back then it's needless arguing aimlessly Sir.
I believe the point has been made.

[1] Shouting at passersby is offensive in any sane society.
[2] Normal humans found it absurd to go out shouting without getting paid.
[3] Those taking the lead in different religions claiming Christians today don't do it.
[4] Wealthy people who are recognized and highly respected in your religions won't do it.
[5] Jesus and his first century disciples didn't do it.
So if you still feel like arguing just go and convince your people as for me and my own church we don't engage in disorder and what is not well arranged! 1Corinthans 14:40

God bless you and may you have peace!🙂
You sat in your house and decided that senior pastors and rich Christians don't engage in open air preaching. Smh. You see in the Bible that Jesus preached to 5000+ at once but you say Romans arrested people for gathering, so they he didn't do it. More smh for you.
Christianity EtcRe: What's Your Excuse Of Not Preaching The Gospel?(Photos/Videos) by JuanDeDios: 10:52am On Apr 26
MaxInDHouse:
Back then Jesus wasn't calling multitude rather they were searching for him due to the miracles he performs!
It wasn't his custom to stand on the street making noise to call passersby! Matthew 12:19
The reason is before his time prophets in Israel has the right to shout in their streets because it's God's law that's the order of the day but by the time Jesus walked the earth it was the Roman empire that ruled Israel so making noise in the streets was offensive as Roman armies were given the order not to allow the Jews form a crowd that could lead to a protest.
That's why John the baptist who came before Jesus during the same period had to go and do the shouting in the wilderness not in their streets! John 1:23
So Jesus can't stand shouting in the streets otherwise he could be arrested for inciting the people to protest.

I believe you know why it wasn't normal in the first century for his disciples to shout in the streets now?🙂
So you run the risk of being arrested in Nigeria if you shout? Lol. What are you on about exactly? Jesus preached to multitudes - on mountains, houses, etc. The disciples also did. So?

Yes, Jesus didn't have to shout. They came once they heard he was somewhere preaching. Our churches achieve that by sharing flyers publicising their events and people come. They also preach on TV and radio - and going by the evidence so far, this is far more effective than house to house. So you really have no reason to talk down on them. If you choose house to house, fine. But let others follow Jesus' example and use other methods.
Christianity EtcRe: What's Your Excuse Of Not Preaching The Gospel?(Photos/Videos) by JuanDeDios: 10:30am On Apr 26
MaxInDHouse:
What Jesus told us is once we find someone who is willing to learn we should concentrate on that person instead of leaving him for another house where we may not be welcomed. Luke 10:7

It's only by house to house that we can reach the heart of our listeners {Act 5:42; 20:20} because we have to go back and teach them. Act 15:36

Jesus told us:

When you enter the house, greet the household. Matthew 10:12
So Jesus' most famous sermons were given to multitudes. He told his disciples that if they enter a house and find good ears, they should stay there, and NOT GO HOUSE TO HOUSE. It seems the idea was for people in that community to go over there to listen - like it happened in Zaccheus' house.

So if our churches decide to emulate Jesus by peaching to multitudes on TV, in crusades and in public busses, why are you questioning that?

Bolded is WRONG. The evidence on hand says churches that have adopted mass methods of preaching are more effective at gaining converts than those who have adopted house to house. The evidence is there.

Note: Acts 20:20 and the other one are irrelevant to this conversation because the disciples were talking about visiting THE BRETHREN in their houses, not going to the homes of unbelievers.

MaxInDHouse:
This doesn't make any sense that is why 99.9999% of Christendom can't do it and those doing it are viewed as unserious beings even by their fellow worshipers.

Before Jesus established the preaching work he first led them from house to house visiting people in their homes some people welcome them while others drove them away. Matthew 4:17
Do your church leaders like Kumuyi, Adeboye, Olukoya take the lead in doing what you expect members to do?

Secondly Jesus sent his disciples out in pairs {Luke 10:1} this is in line with the scriptures {Ecclesiastes 4:9} because they will be asked thought provoking questions which they need to use the scriptures to answer.

Again Jesus don't shout at pedestrians or passersby {Matthew 12:19} instead he goes straight to the house of someone {Luke 19:5} who may ask him questions regarding what he's preaching and what they need to do!

After preaching they must converge in a place to discuss about the experience they had {Luke 10:1, 17} this means they don't just do it randomly but were well organized with a specific territory in mind! Matthew 10:6

Another important thing is they should have a common theme in mind upon which their preaching supposed to center {Matthew 10:7} this will help any individual who has met them before but ignored them to remember that he or she has had something similar from someone in the past.

Lastly your leaders often preach about material blessings which makes all your members to become materialistic yet billionaires among you don't go to the streets to make noise claiming they are preaching for Jesus so most of your people will conclude that this thing is only for those who want to become pastors, poor or jobless people!😟

These and many more reasons makes it difficult for many of your people to participate in doing what you are saying!
Not true. Jesus did not preach house to house. In fact, he rejected that mode of preaching.

We see Jesus preaching TO MULTITUDES and feeding them with fish and bread. We see him preaching to MULTITUDES in the Mount of Olives. We see him preaching to MULTITUDES in Zacchaeus' house. We also see him visiting friends (e.g. Martha and Mary, Peter, etc.) in their houses. What we never see is him preaching house to house. So where did you get that from? Even the apostles favoured preaching to multitudes, not house to house.

House to house preaching is UNbiblical.

A group of confused juntas staged a coup, grabbed power, and now the country is falling apart. Attackers are closing in, and there’s no real plan in sight. That’s what happens when you seize control without knowing what you’re doing, then lean on Russia, a country that’s struggled for years to even handle its own backyard.

Now Russia will likely pull back, leaving Mali to deal with the mess alone, like Syria, Venezuela, etc. And watch the same fake pan-Africanists will somehow twist this to blame the US.

Coups just breed more chaos, more violence, and more failure. Welcome to the reality of Mali under military rule. Let’s see how it plays out.

But if you're telling me that a GROUP of Nigerian POLICEMEN talked among themselves and found the consensus to reject N100 million, I find it very hard to believe.
