ViceGovernor:
Would you allow your neighbor harbour your sworn enemy to live right at the fence between you and the said neighbor?
Wrong analogy. Even if you harboured your neighbour's enemy and because of that your neighbour decides to kill your wives and kids, your suggestion that you raise a flag and let your people die would still be a foolish suggestion.

In any case, there are no NATO bases or weapon sites in Ukraine, so only you know what harbouring you're talking about.

Nairaland General › Re: Customer Sues Opay, Says Account Restriction Led To Father’s Death by JuanDeDios: 4:08pm On Feb 12
OlujobaSamuel:
I can attest to this.
I had to threaten them to report to CBN before they did the needful on my case.
I have 2 Opay account, 1 is active while I rarely used the other.
I have an habit of checking all my inactive bank account once in a while to know their status. On this fateful day, I logged into the inactive Opay account, saw a deposit of 100k, but reduced to #99,850 due to bank commission #100 and stamp duty charges #50, with the account having a restriction. Checking for the sender details, it's an unknown sender, checked the reason for restriction, it's because the fund was flagged due to report from the sender.
I clicked of the reversal process, but I couldn't submit it because the available fund is now less than the amount received due to the charges. That's how the back and forth with customer support started, which lasted for about 2wks.
I was like, why would you placed an account on DND for 2months for erroneous transfer without reaching out to the account holder since he needs to grant an approval for reversal. Okay, I'm interested in refunding the fund, can you pls reverse it back, they said no, I have to pay the #150 shortage, I was like why do I have to bear responsibility for the sender error or company deduction. We dragged it continuously for days, then I had to accuse them of stealing customers fund and that's the way they must have been doing to other customers. I noted the name of the last support staff I spoke with, told her I was going to report to CBN officially, she called in her supervisor to attend to me, I noted her own name to and repeated the same line, immediately after the call, one of them sent #150 to my account and I successfully submitted the reversal request.
This process took me 2wks and few days.
Wow!

Kaliningrad:
A 🇺🇸 US warship and a Navy supply vessel collided during refueling on Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing a military spokesman.

Jerusalem Post || Reuters
Hopefully, these maritime accidents will reduce in future with improvements in technology.

BTW, the Russian city Kaliningrad was named after Mikhail Kalinin (1875–1946), a Russian politician who raped a 16-yeard-old girl. The girl's father was a military general who could make trouble for Mr Kalinin. So to solve the problem, Soviet leader Stalin had the general murdered to protect his friend.

Unfortunately, today, in 2026, Russia hasn't found better ways of doing things.

Can he sale me 50 million litres I would pay 950 but he would deliver to Ghana?
You can ask him, but I doubt it. I mean, like I already said, he's trying to ingratiate himself to the populace and capture the biggest market in Africa. So if he's taking a loss, he'd rather take it here.

Lmaooo ₦500 loss in refining can never break even

Dangote way sale cement cheaper in Ghana Lmaooo abegi
That's a strategy. He might be losing a little on pms and recovering most of it in diesel and aviation fuel, the idea being to discourage importers. Even if there's a loss, it doesn't prove that govt is subsidising him.

Diesel and kerosene is same price in nigeria and the rest west African countries less than ₦100 difference from the mean price

But Petrol? Lmao ₦500 to ₦800 difference

Dangote want to sale cheap petrol but won't sale cheap diesel.
If he's making his money from diesel and using pms to gain popularity and capture the market, it sounds like a good strategy. That doesn't mean subsidy, does it?

Funny. Check the title of your thread again.

I guess someone told you I'm a fan of Trump or a supporter of his country.

But, again, for you Russia lovers, it's always America this America that. Without America, where would Russia be in your consciousness?

Have you ever seen where someone is criticising Trump for his imbecility or greed and a Trump supporter starts referencing Putin or Russia? No. Only you Putinistas do that. Go figure.

WriterNig:
🇷🇺 Russia’s energy company Gazprom Neft has announced the discovery of a new oil field on the Yamal Peninsula, with estimated geological reserves of 55 million tons of crude oil - a significant boost to Russia’s Arctic energy ambitions.

The newly identified field is located in the Arctic zone of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area and has been named after prominent geologist Alexei Kontorovich, The Caspian Post reports.

Company CEO Alexander Dyukov emphasized that the Arctic and Eastern Siberia still hold vast untapped potential.

“Both in the Arctic zone and in Eastern Siberia, as well as in many other regions, there are still opportunities to discover new large and super-large hydrocarbon fields,” Dyukov said, adding that Gazprom Neft will continue active geological exploration across all areas of operation.
They will still attack neighboring countries with 5000 tons of oil. There is no cure for greed.

I understand. It's even amazing that Ghana exports its yams abroad more than Nigeria and we know why. Even Fashola once lamented about this problem. We are not just organized as a people but on labeling, we never saw the need to because of trust. For instance, you too go to a trusted source when you need certain type of yam. That is the basis for society, TRUST. Do I agree that we need to label today? Yes. But labeling also costs money and the average farmer will laugh at you to tell him to label after all the work he did to harvest. Those to him are industrial and city concepts. Compared to some years ago, Nigeria also has more import of GMO in our stores and the lobbyists even want our government to make it legal. Those guys are evil. Have you heard of the story of the man who did not use Monsanto and what they did to him? He refused to use their seeds while all the other farmers cowered and got bought. He paid the price. These evil people want to control what God gave to us from nature. They don't like how we are using it for free. Our education is a problem too because most educated people think city life is the standard meanwhile it's all industrial pollution and a big mess. I used to be like that too until I got exposed to know what is the truth and the makeup they gave the lies to look like truth.

I can tell you that some of the insecurity we have today is sponsored by those who want to attack our food security. Benue by now should be a food basket that it calls itself but we deliberately refuse to protect lives and property thereby affecting food security.
Yes, that's exactly why Ghana exports yams more than us. Our fertilizer yams can't even survive the trip across the ocean. I hope we learn.

Your banana there, why do they have organic fruits separate from other fruits? Was that something you used to bother about in Nigeria?
I actually think the fact that there's no labelling in Nigeria is a problem. I mean, yams grown with fertilizer and those grown without are lumped together and sold together in our markets. I hope something is done about it. Anytime I need yams grown without fertilizer, I send for yams from my village. That shouldn't be - all the yams sold in Lagos should start to be labelled.

I have another theory

The cold in Canada preserves the body organs compared to the heat in Nigeria.

Imagine leaving raw meat in Nigeria weather and same meat in Canada which will last longer?

The cold will preserve the meat in Canada is my theory and that’s why they have a higher life expectancy

Nnamdipapa:
You don't know what you are talking about and I can educate you freely as someone who lived more than 14 years in Canada. Food and vegetables are cheaper, fresher here in Nigeria compared to Canada. I didn't eat lots of bananas in Canada as It’s basically GMO modified and unnecessarily sweet, I buy a bunch of bananas in Lagos every single day for five hundred Naira.

I buy one big avocado for 500 Naira as well, I don’t freeze half of the year and I have access to a wider range of fruites and vegetables here in Lagos. As a Canadian Citizen, you can never pay me to live in Canada ever again.
The only aspect Canada is better is the Healthcare and as an healthy person, I usually never had the need to visit an hospital in Canada so, same for me in Nigeria.
So why does Canada have a higher life expectancy than Nigeria? You have something to chip in on that?
