I see both online and offline how people freak out at the sight of a celebrity. Some even go as far as rushing or grabbing them.

I have never been to any show, let alone wanting to go up stage to grab a celebrity. I saw how a young man was kicked by Burna Boy and I felt really disgusted because such nonsense can never happen to me.

Early last year, I was on the 6th floor at BUA Group headquarters in Victoria Island where I saw Tekno and Davido sitting down at the reception having a chat, I just greeted them and sat down. I also saw how every other person on that floor was minding their business and don't really give a damn about their presence.

When I told a cousin how I feel weird on how people go crazy at the sight of these celebrities, he said it's not normal but I strongly disagree with him. I even told him how some staff at BUA Group didn't give a damn about Davido"s presence, he insisted that they are not also normal.

Do you guys here share my views, or do you think it's not normal?

I'm wired likewise and it's very normal. Those who also lose their senses upon seeing these celebrities are also normal. To each his own...

Due to the fact that a lot of us here are trying to balance the books and tighten every loosed end ahead of the New year, I wouldn't want to bore you with too many stories as I intend hitting the nail on its head.
I have a dear friend(30) who is dating a girl(25). They have being together for two years, and have being conspicuously and seemingly loyal to each other until the relationship took a new turn lately. The issue appears very minor, but it's somewhat deep according to my friend. It took him lots of guts to open up to me about this.
The issue is, the girl now sells roasted catfish by the roadside. She assists her elder sister. It's actually her sister's business. My friend hates the smell of fish, He has an allergy for it's smell, as a matter of fact he tends to throw up any time he perceives the smell of any kind of fish.
His girlfriend now smells like same fish she sells. He explained to me that he can't even allow his girlfriend come for a visit cos whenever she comes into his room, the whole fish odor takes over the room and even after her exit from the room, the smell is entrapped to the room. No matter how she bathes and the amount of deodorants used, she still smells terribly. Whatever she touches, instantly smells fish. The whole of her apartment smells same. It's really embarrassing to say the least.
He hasn't being able to open up to the girlfriend so as not to make her feel bad, but the lady knows that she's gradually Losing her man.
Sincerely, I hate to meddle into people's romantic affairs. I also do not have a girlfriend at the moment. I've been out of relationship for over three years and I don't intend going into any, until I am financially and economically stable. No matter what anyone tells you, all I can say is that, it takes finance to sponsor romance. Don't get deceived by "Love" alone. Love isn't enough. Every lady I meet would claim to love me cos they their first impression of me is that I am Rich, due to how I look. Na God give me good body oo. I'm a poor orphan without a helper. Just hustling to stay afloat. Overtime, when they discover I'm not what they had initially thought & perceived to be, they start withdrawing gradually. They withdraw by frustrating me. Since I realized this, I stopped loving and dating.

I can't give any advice on this. But I'm definitely going to show him what nairalanders are saying about his case cos I sought his consent to post this here.

It's actually a big deal since the threat poses a great risk to the man's health. Now, his girlfriend has to either withdraw from the business or up her hygiene. Wearing strong cologne won't make any difference if the clothes are dirty. The lady in question should have a designated outfit for the business, preferably white. After the close of work, when she gets home, she should soak the clothes worn in bleach and then wash (reason why I suggested white because bleach would ruin coloured outfit). That way, her clothes won't carry the fish smell. She should also wash her hair at the end of business each day. With this practice, I doubt if she can carry thr smell around.

Perfection is a disease of the mind. Design a scale of preference and if what matters most to you is humour and French kiss, you can go ahead and break up with him.

Serious crimes o, where I served in osun state I met a lot of ex convicts, they deserved it and they did their time

All that talk that it's innocent people that full prison is exaggeration...

Let me detail further to say that the hardened criminals you assumed are in there rarely make it there. Sometimes, they are smuggled out, replaced, given a better imprisonment environment and so on. If you understand that most of these crimes are run by cartels governed by powerful people, then this would make sense to you.

Do you think some cases of missing people who were never found were used for rituals Let me stop here.

Do I burst your bubbles? Over 50 percent of inmates in Nigeria are innocent people awaiting trial. Sometimes innocent family members are arrested in order to lure their criminal family member out and if that doesn't happen and without a lawyer, these persons remain in prison awaiting court appearance that would never happen. Sometimes, our poli**cians order the arrest of powerless people that have crossed their paths. Please learn to keep an open mind.

Hello everyone,

I will keep it short, this is not a thread to bash ladies but to point out an observation.

I started dating a lady last month and everything was going fine until last week when she demanded for money for her christmas hair and clothes. I actually had a lot of bills to settle and also send my mum money for the christmas and I told her I wouldn't be able to give her the money she requested for cos I am also saving for my rent payment which is due early next year.

She got really upset and left my place angrily and since then has refused to call or message me, I decided to reach out to her and she told me the relationship is over . I just responded with ok and I moved on. Despite the short time we have been together I have always spent on her and always assisted her when she needs any form of financial assistance. I can actually afford to give her money for the december but I believe the relationship is still young and I want to be sure the feelings are genuine and not money motivated.

I have also had similar issues with other ladies and I observe they are so money minded , is it a general issue with Nigerian girls or am I just unlucky. I am neither stingy nor broke, I am a banker and I earn well but I am always unlucky with the ladies I meet.

So I want to know do you guys also experience such? Is true love no longer achievable in Nigeria?

What were you expecting? You wooed and won her over using gifts and money, thus a sense lf entitlement has been created. I have said this before and I would say it again. Do not woo women over using gifts. That should be secondary.

I bought an orthopedic mattress yesterday and I slept on it last night and I've come to discover that it's too hard for me. It's not bouncy at all, and feels like I'm lying on a rock.

I'm 72kg, and in not suffering from any joint conditions.. I only bought the mattress because it was recommended by the seller as a 'good and durable mattress'

What do I do next? It's just too hard for me to endure and I don't know if it's going to get any better (or get slightly soft so that I can enjoy the mattress

There is nothing wrong with you. You grew up in poverty so now that you are gaining front in wealth, you are finding it hard to adjust.

Take it one step at a time. Realizing that you need to adjust means your problem is half solved. Take it one step at a time. Start by making a pot of chicken stew.
