so only money will make her smile?

Even on her wedding day?

No wonder many marriages have problem, imagine spending money to get your wife to smile
Dont attack me. No be make am so oh, lol. It is their culture. The money doesn't even go to the bride. One way or the other, it ends up with the groom or whomever has been designated to keep the money gathered.

The bride refused to smile on her wedding day for over 20 minutes, leaving guests puzzled and stirring whispers across the venue.

Some speculated nerves, others suspected deeper emotions behind the stoic expression
You should have at least probed to know why it's so, rather than trying to push a narrative.

The bride is expected to put up this show. Her groom and his friends are to shower her with money and this continues until she smiles.

Agree with everything except abula and abacha. You described oatmeal exactly as it is, fair but not an option I would necessarily go for. Golden morn is my preferred breakfast cereal.
Yes, I agree with you on Golden morn. It is quite versatile too. Can be snacked on the conventional way or even in its dry state.

RomanceRe: Is 500k Monthly Earnings Enough? by Juliearth(f): 11:06pm On Apr 06, 2025
KobomatPhones:
I was arguing with my girlfriend as we were making plans to further our relationship, and she randomly made this statement “that 500k monthly salary is not even enough to survive”

Bro, we don’t even have kids yet. And her calculations were based off children school fees, sending family money and vacations.

I send my family of 5, 200k monthly and they never starve till month end.

I even tried telling her that some of the biggest occupations in nigeria, they don't see up to 500k a month and she says that “they all have a backup income”

This girl has never earned more than 50k per month her whole life. She still lives with her parents, so why would she make this statement?

Abegi, advice from experienced fellas
No frugal Nigerian is thinking of vacation now, so talk her out of that reality. 500k is enough to run a home and even have a reasonable monthly savings plan. Shop in bulk, cut down unnecessary expenses and you would be good

I believe when the economy crunches harder than this, your income would have improved.

Have you taken time to weigh your compatibility with your significant half to be? I mean in terms of lifestyle, beliefs, orientation and so on.

The correct answer is B. I knew that sometime in 2022 during a training I attended.

It's the same thing when people think the word "Learned" is only for lawyers while many don't even know it's real meaning they take whatever they are being told.
Spot on!

So I came across this new show called Jeez Millionaire Show on TikTok, and it instantly caught my attention. In one episode, a lady was asked the question: "What is the actual meaning of illiterate?"

In Nigeria, we throw that word around a lot often incorrectly. I used to think my mom was an illiterate, but after watching that clip and reading the proper definition, I realized she actually isn’t.

Funny enough, the lady on the show got the ₦500,000 question wrong and honestly, I probably would’ve too. The options were kind of tricky.

Watch the short video below and let us know what you think!

The answer is B, that is not being able to read and write in English or any Language. I believe that a person who can read and write in his lingua franca should be considered literate. I stand to be corrected.

RomanceRe: Wedding Called Off At Jos Plateau State by Juliearth(f): 9:57am On Apr 06, 2025
All I see is a stubborn bride and a groom who is not mature to become a husband. If the marriage had taken place, divorce would have been imminent.

A little wisdom would have quelled the situation. She had a rethink at home and figured it was a no-brainer and she could attend her husband's church. If she had asked for some time to think things through, that fight would have been averted... but then again, she didn't lose at all because being married to a man who cannot make decisions without family interference is the most potent elixir for a failed marriage.

Sadly, this is why many marriages fail. If discussions like the church to attend was not brought to the table, I wonder what they were discussing and doing during their courtship.

But there are no black in Nigeria according to Google.

I killed a green snake years back. The inside of it mouth was black as hell. I deduce maybe it an eastern green mamba.
Yes, that's a Mamba.

richiemcgold:
That's not a mamba. We've said it many times on this forum that black mamba does not really look black. The colour of black mamba is like a combination of yellow and brown.
Exactly. A black Mamba is never black in colour. What earned it its name is the colour of its mouth, which is black.

Mambas are generally grey, green, black/grey scales and their stomach is brightly coloured (cream or yellow)

If you're single, you can bear it,but if you're married with kids then you must make plans to pack out of that place as soon as possible
I don't think the focus should solely be on whether children are involved or not. There are people with very low threshold for noise. There are also people who struggle to find sleep or stay asleep. Such people would need a conducive environment to find sleep. The noise can be a major turn off and sleep ripper for such people.

Guys i dont know how to handle this situation. A brothel just opened last month beside my house.
If i had known that such a place will be built around me i would have not rented that apartment.

During day time. Everywhere is calm until from 7pm till 1am 2am!!!
All i hear is prostitutes arguing and fighting over customers. Loud music with annoying hypeman.
Making noise all night..

Early in the morning these girls come outside as early as 6 -7am and continue arguing and shouting disturbing the street.

How do i handle this
Also i keep seeing rough looking guys roaming my area at night. The street no longer feel safe.

What should i do?
I would have said you should lodge a complaint, but the process can be time-consuming and you would need the cooperation of over 50 percent of the residents to sign a petition so they can be charged with pollution and sanctioned. This maybe exhausting. Bearing this in mind, your best bet is to move houses once your rent expires.

Bad things are happening. The country needs to be divided because we can't be living with wild animals.

But on a second thought, Fulanis are not the only guilty ones. People are just using them as scape goats.
Division may not solve the problem. Bear in mind that there are Northerners of Christian origin and also those that though not Christians, are not party to these acts. Such people would suffer greatly if a Division happens.

These vices can be completely ameliorated if we vote into power the right leaders and not those who are blood-thirsty enough to sp****r these criminals to create fear and chaos.

Christianity EtcRe: Now This Is Church - Ethiopian Worship by Juliearth(f): 3:29pm On Apr 04, 2025
martinosi:
1 - The first Country mentioned in Scripture is Ethiopia

2- Moses Married an Ethiopian Woman

3 - Moses Wrote the First 5 Books of the Scripture in Amharic & Hebrew, Amharic is the Official Language of Ethiopia

4 - Ethiopia was the First Country to Make Jesus of Nazareth Way of life a National Belief System in 60AD 2000 years Ago ie the State Religion

5 - Ethiopians were counsellors in the Court of Israel Kings 2900 Years Ago

6 - The Oldest Scriptural Bible in the World with Old & New Testament Writings is the Ethiopian Coptic Bible that has 88 Books

7 - King James of England translated the English version of the Bible from the Ethiopian Coptic Text of Amharic, Hebrew writings in 1610

8 - Ethiopia is the Only country in the world that has never been ruled by outsiders or conquered or colonised

And with all these facts would you still call Christianity a Foreign Religion to the continent of Africa when Europeans only recognised it officially 1000 years ago

Israel grew and became a Nation in Africa with 2 Tribes Mannaseh & Ephraim being of of the Sons of Ham
as Joseph married the Priest of On Daughter Asene so their are definitely Black Israelites

Asene is a common name among Ethiopian-Somalians...

You need to post with factual basis and not just comment because you can
There's also a school of thought that says the arc of the covenant is situated in Ethiopia and heavily guided by Angels. Ethiopia is also the only country using the correct calendar year.

Make class no dey boring why we dey wait !
Let me share this too to motivate someone who wants to continue their studies to get PGDE.

When I was in secondary school I was able to teach the slow learners when my teacher asked me to do so as a brilliant lad those days 🤓 so growing up I knew that I could teach but that is not enough to think that I can now stand in front of a classroom to do the job of a teacher who was actually trained for that 🙅‍♂️. I never intended to study education but as would I say, as fate and destiny would have it 🙏 I studied it and I had to develop the passion for it thereafter 🔥. I found out that teaching is not just about coming to stand to talk in the class 🤔 it involves classroom management 📚 it involves time management ⏰ and it involves instructional aids and strategies etc 📊.

In the aspect of classroom management 📚 how do you handle an unruly student 🤯 when you are teaching? You are in front of the class and somebody is disturbing at the back 😒 how do you handle that? 🤔 Passion cannot teach you that 💔 your passion only makes you explain something for the person just like the slow learners I explained the subjects to 📚 that I was asked by my teacher. I could do that 👍 but I wouldn't know how to handle a class (classroom management) if I'm not taught 📖 so passion will not be enough to handle classroom management 🙅‍♂️ you need to know what to do when you see students disturbing at the back 😒. If you were not trained for it you go get angry and if you don't know what to do, you fit kpai person o out of anger 😂. As a trained teacher, we know it is normal for children to disturb (there are over 101 ways to handle that that I won't say here 🤐) that is why PGDE is important 📚.

Number two ⏰ the time management ⏰ you need to know that you are not supposed to teach outside the topic 📚 some people might be teaching some the SS one students 📚 and immediately because you are carried away that they are beginning to understand you 😊 you start to introduce something in SS three 📚 or start talking about it 🤯 no, you are wasting time ⏰ another teacher has something to come and also impact 📚 so that is what you also learn when you take the time to study education 📖 and that is why the PGDE is also important 📚.

Then lastly 📊 we have the instructional aids and strategies because of time frame 📊 how do you teach a large crowd of people 👥 do you use the lecture mode 📢 the demonstrative mode 🎨 and other modes of teaching 📚 you need to know that also 🤔 📚 so it's not just about coming to stand to teach 📚 you also know how to use instructional strategies 📊 when coming into the class 📚 it's not just coming to stand and talk 💬 we have instructional aids 🎨 where you might have to draw some of the things you want to start teaching them 📚 you want to teach parts of a computer 🖥️ and maybe the school doesn't have computer. In education 📖 you are being taught that you can draw the mouse 🖱️ the computer on a cardboard 📦 as teaching aids and come with it 📦 the learners will be able to learn from that 🤓. If they come across a mouse they would be able to identify it 🖱️.

So the instructional strategies again 📊 also how do you teach those slow learners 📚 what works for the fast learners might not work for the slow learners 🤓 that is where education comes in 📖. You learn that you can also use their classmates 👫 their peers 👫 to also impact knowledge 🤓 to tell them to do this 📝, to go and learn from your peers 👫 and because of they play with them 🤸‍♀️ they are familiar with them 👫 they will not be scared to learn from their peers 👫 they will also be able to grab what their friend is telling them 🤓 quick and learn 📚. You also have to monitor the progress of the task given to the brilliant friend 🤓. There are so many ways to help a slow learner learns and that is why educational background or PGDE is important 📚. Thank you 🙏.

Pardon any grammatical error abeg!
After all these grammar, make i go sleep abeg 😴💤🧠.
What makes you think you can teach a person how to teach? Is this not the singular reason why quite a number of educationists are not educators?
From my little experience, these are the tenets you would need to be a dexterous 21st century teacher.

1. Passion: If a field is not of interest to you, you may struggle to cope. Whatever you struggle to do can never be good enough. This explains why some non-educationists turn out to be better teachers than their counterparts.

2. Flexibility: It is based on this premise that I put it to you that one can never be taught to be a teacher. Information is a living thing (as postulated by Ranganathan) this means that there's always a paradigm shift in what is tenable and what is obtainable. Thus, a good teacher constantly researches on what is tenable around the world and also figures if that can fit into his classroom. What level of flexibility can you gain from learning how to be a teacher. Is it from the lecture notes that are as old as the teacher?

3. Stratification: When it comes to teaching, there is no one size fits all. You literally have to study the environment (by this, I mean your learners) and devise a teaching methodology that suits each and every strata. This is where research comes in. You literally do no know it all and so you widen the scope of your knowledge by researching.

4 Research: What is a teacher without research.

The list is endless, but let's stop here.
