After a recent robbery incident in my compound where everyone was asleep and the robbers had already broken into the house before anyone was aware of their presence, i feel i should get a dog.
if i had one, the barking of the dog would have alerted everyone to the presence of intruders and we wouldnt have been taken by surprise..

but before spending on a highbreed dog, i wonder if it is necessary to get the local breed (considering i have absolutely no experience with dogs) to let the family get used to living with a dog and how to take care of it. instead of getting an expensive dog and losing it to poor treatment etc

yea,his dog is nice and has longer coat but I prefer local dogs with a more hunting like appearance.
The funny thing is dat my dog do hunt.he breaks his chain angrily anytime he sight any chicken in our compound. Chases them like crazy and kills dem but doesn't eat them.
he would just put them in front of our front door and move on(was shocked d first time he did dat).had to pay for all d chicken he killed...lol

personally I prefer shorter coats and defined muscles thats why I don't like caucs

I prefer agboedeh's dog because it's taller than that of jungopolo and has a better body physique.

his dog should be taller cos he is male and is short coated so you can see his physique very well my dog is lean and muscled even after giving birth thrice. I know her great grand ma up till her mum they are thrice her size and if you go through my thread you will see a boy from her last litter short coated and defined muscles at 9 months you need to see him now she has produced really good pups
