Guy, don't be deceived. Even in the most civilized of places, appointments are made to represent each region or province. People need to feel comfortable with the government. It is always balanced. Example is Canada. Ministers and important govt officers are distributed equitably. Unfortunately, the people who are trying very hard to pretend that it doesn't matter where the appointees are from, are the ones who know nothing about governance. Especially a democratic federation.

This is not a unitary or military govt. It is federalism and that federal character has to be applied. Abeg, jettison this patriotic posture. If the North has such a monopoly of wisdom and honesty, why haven't they used it to advance their collective cause at least, even if they don't want Nigeria to benefit from such? We need balance. tunezvic. I feel your pains; incurring further expenses on birds at a time you expect them to be feeding themselves isn't a joke. I'll like to ask the KG of feeds you're giving them daily. And whether the feed is self-milled or finished feeds. And are you sure they ain't suffering from ND or any viral issue? And are you consistent with photo-stimulation (if you do it)?

hello house. we have decided to sell our first batch of layers and the second batch. this becomes neccessary as we experinced drop in production due to lice. the birds will be exactly 2yrs by monday next week.
also the decision was taken to enable us concentrate on the 2,000 DOC coming this week. we hope our third batch will start laying this week. to assist us keep our customers. we also intend to add broiler to our next batch(experiment)

I don't know how you guys do it, I process my birds and sell to entries at N680/kg and to supermarkets at about N1000/kg. I don't know how anyone can sell at N370, it must have been chickens raised with hormone booster, because I cannot understand how anyone can raise bird to 2kg with obviously less than N370. If you are not using hormone booster or super medicating them to get them to 2kg under N370, please share your raising process. As some of you already know, I do not use any medication on my birds apart from the lasota and gomboro that is given to them within their 10 days old. This way we raise premium birds, So even at N680, is a give away.
