PoliticsRe: Dearest Best Moderator by Justcash(m): 2:55am On Jan 31, 2010
@Kosovo

While it is necessary to acknowledge the good job you are doing here, it is also important not to overlook some questionable actions you have taken in this forum.
One expects that as a moderator, you should be unbiased and objective at all times. But I doubt you are.
There are some threads/posts that you quickly kick out of a popular section just to discredit them, and allow some other very questionable posts to stay in the same section for eternity.
I'l give some instances:
As I am talking to you now, becomerich is flooding the politics section with ethnic induced posts. One notable one is about why Ijaws should not join Biafra because they will be a minority group. The most annoying one was when you allowed a post by a forumite called something like "BBKAY" (Wrong spelling) to make the front page when it was actually meant to cause a controversy between the Igbos and the Ijaws. The topic was, Why does Igbos like to claim Niger-delta. At the same time, you were quick to send posts like, "Why Nigeria needs to divide" away from the politics section to obscurity, when it is actually political. Why do you throw away such posts and allow posts like "Why the South South should join the yorubas in Benin republic" by becomerich to stay forever in the same section. Some of your contributions leaves me with no other option than to believe that you are very very biased.
You are visibly against the rise of Biafra. You don't want to hear anything about Nigeria's break up by Igbos. You prefer us to stay in a Union that is no more working due to some callouse capitalist reasons. In some of your views you even taunt the Igbo folks by putting smileys like this  grin, when some inflammatory remarks are made against Them.
I am not against your belief. I will prefer that you step down as a moderator if you cannot stop being biased.
Remember that the World is a small place. You can never predict tomorrow. The wall close to you have ears, and can hear very well.
PoliticsRe: Who Wins Anambra State Election. Opinion Poll by Justcash(m): 8:23am On Jan 30, 2010
It's Soludo. I believe he has more to offer than the other candidates that will surely carry out business as usual. Anambra needs a radical change. The rejection of Ubas by Soludo impressed me. However, I think he will do more good than evil. Even though he is from PDP, I guess he will follow the path of Duke, Chime etc.

Lawmakers indeed!

As much as I don't surpport the bloodshed, I also cannot surpport biased reasoning and actions. These Northerners really need to reason properly!!!!

Becomerich:
what is your business with Niger-delta and Igbo.
What are you implying?
Are you implying that in Your Benin country the Ijaws will be among the majority?
Leave Ijaws to choose their destiny. They have the right to do what they like.
Stop trying to paint a picture that the Igbos are hungry for Ijawland!
The more you post your pictures and maps, the more I see your illiteracy at it's prime.

Yeah. Valid point. wink But will that sincerely make them love and respect Nigeria? The only reason one of my naughty foriegn friends (Who has been to prison several times) love Nigeria is the involvement of Nigerians in scam. He marvels at the smartness of most Nigerian scammers. But unfortunately, he is not the type that I want to love and respect Nigerians. The upright ones see nothing good about Nigeria. They even advised me several times to take up a foriegn citizenship. Those type of people cannot be easily swayed by our rule in the African musical scene.
However, I am still thinking of what to use and beat my chest as a Nigerian.

However, I am not talking about investments, volountary services etc. I am talking about selling Nigeria to foriegners, in order to convince them to give respect to Nigerians. I discovered that anytime I tried, my statements were filled with lies. I just thought of it and decided to throw the question open, because I have discovered that there is really nothing tangible to make a Nigerian proud of being a Nigerian. You can make suggestions to me if you know of any.

Nigeria is not bad in football yet. Before the AfCON kicked off, the target was semi finals. Yes, it was achieved.
Before the world cup qualifiers started, the target was to land in South Africa, and that target was achieved.
Nigeria is still up there in football circus.
But the effort I put in promoting the Super Eagles as the king of African soccer and a giant in world soccer has been defeated. My foriegn friends cannot really see what is special about the team after watching them. My point is , what else can I use and boast to them that Nigeria is better off, especially than their countries?

Ikengawo:
you ppl are so insanely negative and bitter its unreal.
i was scrolling through Skyscrapercity's Nigeria section and the nigerians there are so optimistic and proud.
they're constantly updating eachother on developments and posting pictures of success (and they our number the failures) in nigeria
the problem is everyone on this site is in american and britian
we all know the media of these 2 countries have been on a blood hunt to make nigeria, blacks, and africa look as bad as possible for hundreds of years, and we're here excepting their 'reporting' without critical assessment.
my friend go back to your country. nigerians are totally oblivious to the fact their country is raising out of the wood fast and from nowhere.
What will I use in promoting Nigeria, without lying? What can I use and boast that Nigeria is better than other countries, especially western and Asian countries like Germany, Holland, Japan, China etc?

Nigeria seem to be good for Nothing.
Bad governance

Bad image

Bad publicity

Bad citizen's co-existence

Bad economy

Bad infrastructures

Bad sports administration amd performance

Bad reputation

Everything seem to be wrong with Nigeria. My question is what can a Nigerian use to brag to other nationalities? I need to know, because I used to use soccer, but now that kids from Ghana can beat our senior national team players, I can no more claim that our National team is good.

I for one have deleted the Super from the Eagles name because they are not yet I have not and dare not call them chickens nor fouls. Never the less I don't think if anyone calls them that I should take the gauntlet to fight them and their families as you have done. Or are you related to these unimpressive bunch of players? Even if yes, keep it civil. Thanks.
Going by your words,

The Camerounian team should be called the "Domitable lions" Were beaten by Gabon and Egypt. Drew with Tunisia and came from behind against Zambia.
The Tunisian team should be called the "Cartheage fowls" Did not win any match against the likes of Gabon and Zambia
The Ghanian team should be called the "Black outs" Lost 3-1 to Ivory coast and has not been playing well, winning by 1-0 and defending till the end. If Togo was around, I guess they may have been eliminated.
The Ivorian team should be called "The rabbits"  Drew with burkina faso and lost to Algeria. They seem to go too fast without winning a trophy.

The Super Eagles Qualified for the World cup without loosing a match. Won two matches and lost one in the group stage. Beat their opponent in the Q/F stage after scoring all the spot kicks, and you still don't think that they are super?  The single fact that they are playing with a technically deficient coach should tell you that they are very mighty.

It is not in doubt that the Eagles are Super. I just don't like people coming to this forum and insulting the only thing that makes me proud of being a Nigerian.

Up super Eagles! Win or lose, I remain a die-hard fan.
SportsRe: I Wanted To Quit After Zambia Victory – Amodu by Justcash(m): 2:54am On Jan 28, 2010
Nigerians asked Amodu to:

Qualify Nigeria for the World cup. He did.
Try to win the nations cup. He is on course.

Sometimes soccer is not about good play. It is about getting a win.

Many of you are screaming blue murder, but the man has taken us to the nations cup semi-final.

Why don't we just pray for him to finish it up by winning the trophy?

What is the use of being drogba without winning a nations cup trophy? I prefer to be Yakubu, as far as I can win the trophy. That is the point!

I agree that the Team has not been playing well, and amodu is tactically inefficient, but you must all not forget that playing inefficiently and defensively is another strategy to dislodge opponents for success. Italy does that well. Thay do it as long as victory can be carved out. Italy used that type of play to win the World cup in 2006. They were one of the most inefficient teams in that tournament. They improved after each game. It showed after the World cup.
If the eagles had attacked carlessly against Zambia, we would have lost scandalously. They simply kept the rampaging Zambians at bay. That was a defensive type of play. They soaked up pressure and tried to strike back.

I foresee a return of the team that smashed Mozambique against Ghana.

There is no reason for wishing our team failure, as most Nigerians are doing now. This is one of the reasons why I sometimes wish that I aint Nigerian. Imagine the ignorant rant of someone like Darkangel (I hope She/He is not Nigerian). Nigerians kill our team's confidence even before the start of a match. What if an SE player is in Nairaland, and is reading all these badluck wishes from his own countrymen? We make our opponents laugh and rejoice at our strange attitude.

How can you boo your own team and cheer your opponents at home? How can you tell Amodu that no matter how far he goes in the tournament that he will be sacked? How can you tell a coach that sees how his players perform in training what to do?

Nigeria will beat Ghana. We will humiliate them. Mark my words.

If Amodu must go, let him go after he has finished his work. afterall Keshi did not take his star studded Mali team to the Quarter finals.

God bless the Super Eagles.

SORTING IN PROGRESS.

FIRST CLASS AUCTION!
  grin grin grin grin

At the end it is about how BLUE your account is.

A first class certificate can't buy you an Escalade, with authentic gold "Spinner" rims. It can't build you a luxiriouse house, or buy the best brand of pampers and education for yo' kid!
Your IQ ability will provide those.

People love Wole soyinka, but they prefer to be Aliko Dangote!  grin

If they are real first class materials, it is a welcome development.
SportsRe: I Wanted To Quit After Zambia Victory – Amodu by Justcash(m): 5:49pm On Jan 27, 2010
Amodu does not necessarily need to be sacked.
A good technical adviser and trainer needs to be employed to assist him. The TA can do the Technical job. Siasia had one in his days.
The world cup is few months away, it will be risky to employ a new coach. As expected a new coach will start experimenting to know his players.
Siasia's last assignment is a good example. Did you see how bad he performed? He didn't have enough time to build a good team.

After all said and done, Amodu has been winning. Getting results is better than playing a beautiful game. Ask Ivory coast and Spain, they will explain better.

For those calling our dear Super-Eagles, Super fowls, May the good lord rename them and their families "Cows". They are all big goats for not seeing how super the Nigerian soccer team is.

Hi friends, thought of seeking your genuine advice on this important decision
I am an entrepreneur and my current line of business is having some challenges, so i have been working on setting up a printing press business in mushin with a sum of N8.5 million that i have been able to save up till date.
what do you advice i do?
It is glaring that you may not be an entrepreneur. If you are, you should be used to the challenges.

My advise: Respond to the challenges, and slam them headlong. Do a proper market survey and establish your biz. Use proper strategies to break even and make profit. Expect challenges, and make them scared of you.
If you cannot do these, buy a land and look for a Job. Don't waste your money.
