Whats size of dish am i to buy if i want to nail nilesat ( bearing in mind that i live in a rented apartment)

or better still what else do i neeed to buy apart from STARSAT.THANKS

your submissions are very close to the possibility of what had caused that incident. . .Am sensing some political tension btw cross river and akwa ibom esp after they vehemently disagreed to give cross riverians back the oils wells that the FG had transferred to be in the possesion of akwa ibom. I watched the showedown at the Senate and I must confess that the akwa ibom senators came across as insensitive giving the fact that they own more oil wells and were not ready to take pity on the cross riverians who did not have any left besidez those the FG took 4rm them and to akwa ibom. Funny enough, Calabar used to be the host of every akwa ibomites back in the days and even up till dis day, akwa ibomites still make up a sizeable chunk of the Calabar Population. It is possible the cross river state govt is reeling out harsh policies aimed mostly at businesses which are mostly occupied by akwa ibomites to teach them how not to bite the finger that has fed them. And am sure what we saw in the papers, was a taxi man( who most likely is an akwa ibomite as they make up the taxi biz in Calabar) who understanding the politics at play, was angry with the Cross river government and wanted to teach em a very big lesson. For real this guy wanted to make a very big statement. . Geez. . He rammed two gates and headed straight to the fuel tank of d plane, it was just God that saved the passengers. This is a wake up call i guess to the two states govt.



So Nigerians can reason like this when it comes to a christian perpetuating this dastardly act, some are even saying he is not a christian (am not sure myself) but what if he is a christian?


We are always gullible to what we read in the media who in turn cause disunity between the tribes and Religions.i even some people commenting on the crises in the middle east saying they have the highest rate of deranged people (why would u say such things).

There are so many things at play in this country, we should put our thinking cap on to analyse an issue before we start attacking tribes and religion.we all know the kind of political class we have who with their selfish interest instigate ethno tribal religious war.

I know this for sure that Oluwole market is being constructed by Lagos State Development And Property Corporation.

The two are from the opposing tribes( dont ask dont tell).

The simple truth is that Goc Jos has a hand in this, so also jang.

The january attack on kuru was instigated by the Governor( dont ask dont tell) and this march massacre also has Goc jos hand in it.its like bosoms for tats.

Both surely knows whats is going on.i hope all is made to face the consequence sooner or later

It is a pity you people take any criticism of Governor Fashola personal, you sound as if you have personal interest or relationship involved.

Although some people might have political motives by criticizing the policies of Fashola, a lot of people do so out of genuine concern and convictions. According to a lot of people Fashola's policies are elitist, anti-people and incoherent.
I had tried so much to explain that the purpose of government is to provide social, physical and economic security to the greatest number of people - especially the poor masses.

This involves providing social structures like either free or cheap schools - My governor instead of building new schools prefers to demolish sub-standard schools aggravating the already dire illiteracy levels. A social responsible government would assist the sub-standard schools with books, teaching aids or grants. It could even have adopted the Soludo option of consolidating 3 or four sub-standard schools.

A socially responsible government would care about the livelihood of its poor masses and put in place cheap markets and shops before demolishing existing illegal markets and banning street trading. It should even provide micro credit through collaboration with existing banks. This same government that embark on anti people economic policies would turn around and impose all kinds of taxation and levies on these same people.

A socially responsible government should be building health centres in every local government or is it Local Government development areas to attempt to alleviate our horrible health statistics , instead of building one or two Ultra - modern hospitals that is grossly inadequate to serve the masses.

I laugh when some people say that people who cannot cope with Lagos should relocate to their villages. I do not blame them. that is the typical black mentality - Pull down the ladder you used in climbing up so that no other person can use it to climb. If that was the official policy of governments past, most people saying that would still be in their villages contributing to the illiterate statistics. Over 80% of Lagos population have their roots in other states and came to Lagos to look for greener pastures. Even Fashola is not indigenous to Lagos.

Fashola's Lagos generate more revenue that all other previous governments, he could afford to embark on projects that would be beneficial to everybody including the poor masses, instead of concentrating on projects for the elites like Dr. Kitun.

I do not really blame him, he did not promise Lagosians anything before he was voted in. He did not outline a Health policy, an economic policy, a water policy or any other policy. He was just imposed (just like Yara dua) by Tinubu. He got to power on the strength of opposition to PDP as Lagosians did not want to be captured by PDP. [/b]

I always wonder why after explaining a situation to some people( Fashola Haters) they still hang on to their opinion that LAGOS must surely be compared to those european countries they r opportuned visit as if these countries is built in a day.How i wish we know this earlier and allow those spewing dust to visit these place and see the caliber of peope that trives there.

I am sooo sober and i wept with the family that count their loss amongst these ethnic groups. I am alays of the opinion that Politicians will always have their way if we masses that voted them their have this kind of mindset.there are so many questions for jang ( i dont see him as a governor) and the military men plus the politicians.

I just feel a need to add my perspective to this issue. maybe, just maybe, a couple of people might appreciate it.
Even if only one person does appreciate it, the purpose would have been served.

Firstly let me say categorically that I consider the killings in Jos horrific.

If there is any evidence I need that the perpetrators of the dastardly acts in Jos do not stand for Islaam, the kiling of women and children provided it.

Even in a state of all out war, Islaam prohibits the killing of women, children, non-combatants (whether men or women), animals and destruction of plant life.

I've always had the feeling that every time crisis breaks out in the north, it's painted as religious when most times, it's tribal, ethnic and most often political. The media however, because they are either too imcompetent to do some investigative work or they are compromised by the politicians who are the architects of this crisis, they paint it with the easy and ready brush of religion - the same way the Nigerian Police find it easy to quickly call every assassination in the country armed robbery incidents.

Every time there is a problem north of the Niger, all I hear is blood-thirsty Islamic Jihadist, but the times there had been problems in the south, we didn't attach it to a particuar religion, we were content to call it ethnic.

Hausa-Fulanis are maybe mostly muslim, but their actions many times DO NOT represent Islaam. The actions many times tell of tribes of people who are short on temperament and quick to anger. Many here do not or pretend not to understand that.

People from many of the tribes in the north, whether muslim or christian (and I'm sure you know there are many christians there) are more often than not short on temperamnent and quick to anger.

In the current crisis, if the reports that thousands of cows were killed in the January attacks are correct, then I don't see this later attacks would be difficult to fathom. You don't kill a Fulani man's cow, even one, and go to bed with your two eyes closed. The security agencies failed woefully here. This was preventable.

I read many hate-filled verbal attacks on this thread, just like on many threads on this board. While I understand the background for those hate-filled verbose, I think it is better if it is directed at the people as a tribe or ethnic group, not at their religion.

The verbal attacks are actually many times unprovoked. If ever there was a truly religious crisis, it is such unwarranted verbal attacks and expressions of hate for a religion that's the cause.

Imagine a verbal attack on the religion of a short-tempered man on the street of Funtua, a reaction (most probably over-reaction) from a short tempered people, then a counter-reaction and it snowballs into a big crisis.

3 By making sure u clear your head and leave domestic issues at home, that most people add issues that do not correspond with their responsibilities in the office which in most cases causes stress.

4 First make research on the company and the industry they operates in and make informed decision on what they might be able to pay you. Tell them you knoew there is a salary scale in the company in which the position u applied for is in it.

If they insist u give them an amount add like 20 percent to what u feel they might pay u and negotiate.

It is dishearthening when i heard such story because i was a victim only that i was not shot.

Mine happened about four months ago at olowu street in IKEJA when i went to visit my fiancee the first time at her work.Around 8pm i was accosted with a gun to drop my laptop, phones and wallet which i did without battling an eye.Really i was like this could be a fake gun but the look on my fiancee was not encouraging cos she was terrified.After they left on OKADA it now dawn on me that i could have been shot.i thank GOD for my life till today.

[b]It will not kill you as this is treatable. It takes time to get rid of so you have to be patient. I would suggest you starting with eating more raw vegetables because of the fiber content. You MUST start drinking more water ASAP. Not juice, not tea, but clear water. This is because you've probably been straining or passing hard stool which is what is causing your pile. If you continue to eat the way you are and not including fiber AND water (your body weight in ounces per day) you will not get rid of your piles and may end up with more that may even bleed. I suggest you try what I've stated and give it some weeks to reduce until it diminishes on its own. As a comfort measure I suggest you try using TUCKS pads or if you don't have access to them just take cotton soaked in witch hazel (available at drug stores, apothecaries, or even dollar markets) and apply them to the pile to reduce the swelling and irritation. You may find that this alone may alleviate the problem if you are consistent with the application. Also ice packs may help until your body heals and it goes down on its own. You will be fine and I wish you go health.

I think the contribution would go a long way to reduce or eradicate totally your probem with pile.

I remember in my Higher Institution Days i had same problem in which anusol was prescribed for me in hich is a temporary solution.The best solution is water, drink alot of ater and take a lot of fibre foods.
