@ALL One thing that baffles me is the several Opinion polls carried out by our Dubious National Newspapers that SOLUDO is leading and HE (SOLUDO) came out boasting that he would win with a large margin. This is a clear indication of how our media bambooze the gullible Nigeria to believe their lies they cook up after collecting Money from Politicians. I hope we will make refrence to this inthe future when discussion about NIGERIA POLITY. congratulation GOVERNOR PETER OBI. |
Hey Mr Ajanlekoko, While I may not have anyfacts to dispute your figures for most of the other companies, your figures for etisalat are a total hogwash. Entry level in etisalat, in this case sales/customercare earn between 2.5m and1.8m p.a for university graduates and experienced staff and 1.2m p.a for Poly graduates without experience. For the other positions, etisalat has embarked on a strategy of offering higher wages in order to attract much needed experienced staff from other telcos so you will find that wages are generally higher. Zain has recently laid off several senior level officers with the majority being managers. Anyone with knowledge of telecomms will know that zain is in a mess financially at the moment and so many of their staff have had to move on. You stated that managers at etisalat do not have medical benefits. Thats totally false as all staff are covered under the reddington health plan. Etisalat continues to increase bonuses and benefits for staff. A little over 2 months ago, staff credit was tripled for entry level from 10k per month to 30k permonth for entry level and managers get as much as 70k per month on their staff lines. One thing you must understand about these UAE people is that theyre not so much in a hurry for profits and they are more interested in establishing any kinda presence in Nigeria. You were however right about outsourcing in the technology and IT areas but they recently advertised several vacancies in the IT and tech sections. I work there and I can provide more facts if needed @Ajanlekoko Truly u may be right about other network but for etisalat u r totally wrong,i believe all what the above poster wrote concerning etisalat cos i was interview early last year for a position u quoted above and was offered a salary higher than what u quoted in which i rejected also to add to this my brother works with them as a specialist, he joined etisalat almost two years now and he was offered 4.5 inclucive of medical and credit of about 60k and for his wife too.Am really serious |
@all Thank GOD he is not an Hausa man or a muslim, it would have been a different comment here and NORTHERN AGENDA Conspiracy. |
Amin. |
I hope they have a ready market for this cos its way too much to afford. |
@UPLAWAL My friend said you both spoke on phone as regard your sister( remember NURUDEEN). |
@nanai what about friends and neighbours or a Relgious leader in your area i.e imam of your mosque. you can search www.islamqa.com on the ruling of children prescribed in ISLAM after divorce. May ALLAH make it easy for you, make the decision that would be taken a favourable one and at the end soften your dad's heart towards the decision taken eventually. amin |
@NANAI U cant resolve the issue but u can help by informing ur relatives who u know ur dad would listen to. Please this question goes to our imams in the house before i make research on it: What is the ruling on keeping of the children after divorce? |
Nigeria's problem has nothing to do with terrorism. But the major problem with Naija is corruption. Honestly speaking, I don't see the wisdom in putting Nigeria on the terror list. I just pity innocent Nigerians who would be humilated and called terrorist abroad. The stigmatisation would increase. Let's look at this issue logically. First and foremost, Muttallab is the first Nigerian to attempt suicide bombing. He became radicalised " outside the country" to be precise Great Britain. If the Americans and the British are serious, they should begin looking at the people they grant visas to. I won't be surprised to hear that there are some radicals in their countries. America should rather be pro active; they should not pass the buck. The crisis in trhe North is akin to Rwanda geneocide but not as severe as that. That alone is not enuf to put Nigeria in the list. You have said it all, that is why i pity the youth of nowadays who because of the corrupt GOVERNMENT we have now always wish evil to NIGERIA. The Rwandan HUTSI AND TUTSI is a spot on . |
Thank God kalaba did not play for zambians, we would have been 2 goals down. |
I had a case of colleague been defrauded with ransom of 150 thousand naira approximately by UBA bank via ATM. According to the guy he knows his last transaction on the account as he’s preparing for his wedding due to this he manage his spend so as to have something to fall back on when the time arrives. He was surprised with this latest development in Nigeria banking sector when he got the news that his card had been used without his conscience to withdrawn all his deposit in UBA. If this guy is conversant with corruption that has dominated Nigeria system this may not affect him much but with the way I see this guy I pray this won’t yield him early grave. If this act can be carried out by bankers where else are we save in this country? In fact as I’m writing this mail the guy was already boiling and this automatically reflect in his looks. the amazing thing was that the bank official claiming this was due to his negligent therefore face the consequence. I’ve already call on my legal friend to assit but also want your contribution in this forum. @jas Please tell ur friend to get a good lawyer and am sure ur money will be refunded in months depending on how good ur lawyer is. Last year November the same thing happened to my elder brother who was defraud of 120k via ATM OF FIRSTBANK. alhamdullilah they have refunded 60k remaining 60k.The fraudster made the withwarwal around Okota and his picture is still with the police and declared wanted. Let him get a good lawyer and for those calling for verve card, i pity u just wait for few months to come and u will hear cases again. I had to discontinue using my ATM card and queue at the counter. My hard earn monry is too precious to me,TO BE FORWARNED IS TO BE FORARMED. |

@justfash Salam alaikum, sorry it took so long for me to address your workplace post. I am not an expert but even though it may be hard, I would say,do your work as thbough the other guy was not there. Now if it gets to be a lot more than you can handle, request an assistant (shebi you are HR?) You guys can create/uncreate positions. Pretend that you are happy doing the work alone, u will eventually be happy.Remember, the key word is "innovate" You should politely decline buying the aso ebi for the burial. You may visit and pay respects for the bereaved; the ooly thing I am sure of is you cannot pray for someone who died non muslim. @AYINBA1 Thanks for ur advise. Just heard there would be restructuring very soon. please pray for me cos there is tension every where.Salam Alaekum |
Thanks Brother Abuzola and remii for the insightful quotes. Well like av written above i would not buy the clothes, attend the funeral but will only stay for a while at the party to greet them. |
@nanai Thanks for the links provided above, i have search islamqa.com for answers but av not seen something similar. @To all I am not going to buy the clothes but would attend the burial after they must have buried the person and just stay for a little while. Please if there is any contrary opinion or fact from Hadiths i would love to know.Jazakallahu khairan |
The assumption is that unmarried couples who live together are likely to be having sex on a regular basis like a regular husband and wife, and that's why Christians and Muslims generally frown at it. Culturally speaking, a woman who lives with a man who is not her husband is seen as a 'loose' woman because she's not only taking part in forbidden sex (as assumed), but she's 'flaunting her immorality' for the whole community to see by living with him. She's not being discreet about it. The society's attitude is like this, "yes, we know that you're having sex with your boyfriend, but don't flaunt it as if there's nothing wrong with it." We know that we are all sinners, but let's at least respect the fact that what we're all doing is wrong! Let's show some shame, and discreetness. This is called hypocrisy! @seun Its not frowned at in ISLAM but forbidden outrightly because u are still not regarded as husband and wife. Even when Communicating there must be a guardian present ,this shows to the extent of removing sex or other form of immoralities from aspiring couples before they get married. @poster its totally forbidden in ISLAM and not frowned at. |
@nanai For the response of Brethem u r surely remembered.May Allah Continue to guide u amin. @Brothers and sisters I have an issue which requires an urgent response, its goes like this what would u do if ur Senior Colleague in the Office who happens to be a Christian; his wife lost her Dad and they are having a big party for the burial. My concern is the party of a thing cos i believe u r not even allowed to attend a christian burial (Please if am wrong correct me).He brought the clothes for the burial party to the office for people to buy and av being keeping mum for awhile if i should buy the clothes or not cos presently am the only one who av not shown any interest. What would u do if u r in my shoes or whats the Islamical position on this. Please i need ur contribution my brethem.Jazakallahu Khairan |
@iwaboy Thank you very much, May Allah continue to guide us amin. |
It seems my problem is much more complicated than i thought, thats why response is not coming from my BRETHEM soon enough. The likes of Sir Olabowale comment is welcome and those who have considerable years of experience. SALAM |
Salam @mukina 2 It was this explanation that cost me the preedicament am in now. There was this time she called me and said do i know my attitude would cost me to lose virtually all my perforance assessment mark. @symbolic Let me make it clearer, i have got up to 200 people, some with different schedule to take care of, not to talk of my normal dutes. Yes it would look as if am jealous but really the guy is stinkingly rich and much more older than me but despite he knows i do his work i av never for once acted with any unruly behaviour towards him but when it comes to my job and he tries to manipulate things i always raise my head high and disapprove of it. Alhamdullilah, i was given best staff of the year 2 years ago for the combined duties. @for muslims Still want more advise to make a decisive decision on what to do next. Jazakallahu Khairan as you admonish me. |
Ok, My Advise just dont be too choosy irrespective of basic u av highlighted above (muslim) cos u might get delussioned into believing what u see facially. I just got hooked up a couple of months ago and i can tell u their are alot of sisters out there. My PROBLEM It All started about six months ago when walk up straight to my Head of Department and complain that she has to equally share job responsibility with my senior colleague in the office. I work in an HR department in a particular company and am the third in command but the problem is i virtually do all the work because my HOD believes i deliver in time. This senior colleague of mine own a company which pre occupy is time, which do not make him devout more time to the job. What prompted me to ask for this is the guy is a politician and he wined and dine with some HOD'S and goes about telling people that my HOD do not give him work to do that we r turning the department into a muslim thing.I heard all these from my step sister and well wishers. Though i dont like working with women( cos she is), She was very angry when i explained all these, she shared the job, at first she thinks am joking not until if she minute a job for me to do i will take it back to her, she gets angry in which i have decided to take a stand for my action. Although i know more responsibilities is for my personal development but really its as if HR is all on me.I know she is very disappointed, at any trivial issues she shout at me and she lie sometimes when she gives instruction to me to do something and if it does not work she change and say something else.Am a Concious muslim i have never backbite on her or incite people against her cos this happened a few weeks ago.6 months ago there is this new graduate engaged by my company and posted to our dept, the problem is this graduate cant take decision herself when giving work to do and she always come to take advice, she however made mistake and when my HOD ask her where she got the advise from she mentioned my name, i was really angry with her and did tell her never mention my name or come for solution to problem cos it will look like am inciting her against my HOD. Am sorry i dont like writing stories thats why i av to break the story to bring out the salient points. Two days ago she gave me the job of my senior colleague with the excuse that i know he is not around( she means attending to his biz) i oblige and took the job from her.My problem is she would bring more of this and bring excuses, WHAT SHOULD I DO PLEASE MY BRETHEM? Thanks in anticipation of ur favourable response ( Please let it be from the ISLAMIC PERSPECT) |
@jarus & uplawal Salam to both of u and all muslims on Nairaland. You both have similar issue u r asking from ALLAH, why dont u hook up at least u r muslim and u share similar view in the DEEN. |
pls without sounding immodest, i think u nid 2b more articulate in making your points. If d Almajiris and Maitasines are not Muslims, who are they; certainly not n can never b Christians. This is because Christianity does not have a place 4such miscreants using religion to perpetrate evil against fellow human being. Again, d incessant senseless killings of innocent people by these Islamic terrorist cannot be attributed 2poverty or lack of job anymore as d naughty person, Umar Farouk, act recently has rendered this line of arguement redundant;the problem lies in d doctrines and philosophy of Islam, which promise reward 4those who kill in d name of d religion- nonsense. If d interpretation of d Quaran is false as u claim then d wise thing is 4 u 2 do d right interpraetation. It is not enof 4u 2just dismiss his objective n correct interpretation as false. My poser 4u Muslims is why can't u pple pause 4 once 2 analyse d fact dat if u say all muslims are not terrorist, why is it dat virtually all, if not all terrorist atrocities against defenceless and innocent civilians are perpetrated by muslims? Shame on u @ebor Please scroll up and read my point again, I said it is a fact then disprove me by bringing ur own rebutt. Like i said all Regions in Nigeria has their own Shortfalls, i dont need to call names we all know this. All in all its the lasting solution will should profer and not cast doubt on MUSLIM beliefs. We all have muslims and christians as neighbors, lets understand the preaching of both Religion.thanks |
It is shame to the NORTHERNERs(Rich and Politicians) that we are having yet again the same problem of killings and maiming all in the name of Religion. For all those who is labelling Muslims should desist from such malicious act which can cause hatred and chaos within the communities in Nigeria. its a fact that all almajiris, maitasinis, fulanis, hausas etc are not all muslims. My Opinion, i blame most times the POLITICIANS AND RICH PEOPLE in the NORTH who in most times use RELIGION as a tool to cause disunity or to get their agenda done. I also blame Journalist who in order to sell their to gain what they want exagerrate beyond measure in reporting issues. Like some one has suggested above the Governent should provide jobs, really people are suffering everywhere in the nation. @jcross Desist from quoting the Quran;the verse u quoted above does not depict the meaning u gave above. If u need clarification go to the RELIGION section to inquire and not add gullible people who do not have an inkling of what a Quran looks like to your Ignorant funky train. Every regions in the nation has its own peculiar shortfalls, what we need to do is call the GOVERNMENT to perform their responsibilities and not sterotype people who has no idea whatsoever of what this is all about. We Muslims Condem these act from the bottom of our heart and refute in all totality that what JCROSS22 interprete above in the quran is false. To sum it all MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORIST AND NOT ALL TERRORIST ARE MUSLIMS. |
