Start by educating people around you and telling the effects of their support for evil no matter what they gain temporarily. If you succeed with that, you would have done well and you wont need to canvass for support here. |
Do you not see we should all be pointing to ourselves? If another person is put there tomorrow, he/she will also be like the predecessors. This means that it is the Nigerian society that has a massive problem! |
It is greed. It's probably similar to the same reason why some people will just keep stealing money and being corrupt. Ever wondered why Abacha had more (stolen) money stored away than many national governments? You want more of something because you think it gives you satisfaction but the more of it you get the more of it you want. There's no real satisfaction in anything in this world. |
rubbie, I hope you have a younger sister or cousin. Your younger sister or cousin will definitely also be falling in lust with whoever turns out to be your man |
bravado:your Ben Johnson style na wa o. why you no try slow slow marathon? |

No way I could have read all 11 pages of these! 11 pages in 2 days This issue must have some resonance around here. However, sistawoman's post below caught my attention as being spot on. There is a good man shortage. But if a woman is worth her weight in gold the men will be fighting each other to keep you and therefore no fighting necessary for the woman. Most women who have difficulties finding good men need to examine themselves first before venturing into serious relationships. Now now. . . dont start fighting me ![]() |
tpia:VERY TRUE INDEED |
No problems. If there are no junkies, there'll be no traffikkers. Why dont they jail their addicts as well? ![]() |

origina9ja:no be fight o. You say you no go marry naija and I help you add prayer. where I do wrong for there? I pray you never get to marry a naija man forever oya say Amen halleluia |
RichyBlacK:you're wrong!!! George W. Bush is the biggest idiot to ever become president of any nation, developed or uncivilised. |
Jakumo:This is the main gist here. Nigerians themselves dont like progress. they only embrace progress with their lips. They will rile you and mock you if you do things that will bring progress to the entirety of the nation |
Hopefully, some of those women wont start get angry with you for saying what you believe. Points 3 and 6 seem to be very relevant when you read some posts on nairaland ![]() |

How do you call it dating when u have not seen the person and may never see the person. Abeg make una wake up no allow cultures which evolved from sad and depressed people to take hold of una. All these nonsense forms developed because of . . . |
The first obvious signs are when your child starts to behave in ways that are not Nigerian. If hes starts imbibing too much of the western culture ![]() |
We have heard so much more than this in the past and we will keep hearing them but nothing changes for good. Have you considered that it could just be that majority of Nigerians prefer the way things are because it allows them the chance to steal IF they ever get the opportunity. Most Nigerians are only waiting for their ruen to steal. They dont really want the stealing and the rot to stop. What they want is their chance to get to the top and do more damage with the chance to oppress those who may not be at the top. When we all change our mindsets, Nigeria will change. It doesn't take any magic |
I sincerely hope its not just about breeding a new set of corrupt politicians. We have heard so much about such in the past. They start with supposed noble intentions and they almost always metamorphose into a new set of corrupt politicians. |
