According to our sources, the news is already trending within the campus. A new born baby was found dead in a University of Maiduguri’s female toilet.

A source who resides in the hostel confirmed to us that the child was found in Murtala female hostel of the school. The management has not responded to the situation yet but we are hoping the Dean, Student Affairs will release a statement soon.

Why kill an innocent child?

As shared by Charles ...

STATE OF EMERGENCY ON SECURITY PERSONNEL

Despite thousands of peace meetings between government, herdsmen and farmers,With government re_assuring people to return to their various homes for farming and businesses, insecurity has continued to grow from worst to terrible on daily basis especially to farmers, whom are only left to survive by God's grace. Even security personnel has not been left out as herdsmen attack them for trying to bring peace.

Yesterday fulani herdsmen in Buruku attacked a NSCDC officer , Inspector Amos Zaatyough attached to special Arm squad who is presenting with Buruku unit of the NSCDC to restore peace in the trouble area was yesterday Tuesday 25/4/17 around 5pm attack by the herdsmen. Insp. Amos H Z. Was on his way back from duty when he saw some herdsmen with guns and knives chasing two boys from along a Bush path, Inquisitively he ask what was the problem when the boys run to him when they saw him with NSCDC uniform and was told that the herdsmen were chasing them because they chased the cows out of their groundnut farm.

Insp Amos who intended to seek for peace on the matter was attack by the herdsmen when the asked him if he was Hausa /Fulani or Tiv and left him in his pool of blood. It was the boys that were initially chased that ran to alert NSCDC officers in their station, that rushed to the scene and later took him to the Hospital in makurdi where the Inspector is receiving treatment.

This is the situation our peace loving society is now faced with as a result of dysfunctional leadership and state of emergency by herdsman on innocent people.

This is one of the reasons why Buhari shall see no peace!!!

This very impressive Sir.

‘I can solve Super Eagles goalkeeping problem’

By Jude Opara

As Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr continues to mull over the goalkeeping problem facing the team, an American based goalkeeper, Joel Isyag says he has what it takes to fill that gap.

Isyag who stands at over 6.2ft just signed for the Super Eagles. Football Club of Maryland has already become his team’s first choice shot-stopper with over six clean sheets in his last games with other individual awards.

Recall that first choice goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme has been ruled out for the rest of the season, even as the team is preparing for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against African champions, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon as well as the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in June.

Speaking from his base in the USA, the Kaduna State-born Isyag who will turn 21 this May said he is optimistic that his inclusion in the national team will make that position more competitive.

“I know that composure, positioning, sharp reflexes, agility, techniques, anticipation, ball handling, coupled with great saves are just some of the attributes of a good goalkeeper and I truly have them all.

The Super Eagles have been having goalkeeping challenges since the Lille of France safe hands; Vincent Enyeama quit the national team. The discovery of Ikeme helped to stabilize the defence for sometime but Rohr seems not to have confidence on his assistants, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi.

Maychang:

I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, the challenges and how tough it has been as a first born child.

I often heard that many of us go through a lot of challenges which could be fustrating and sometimes, lead to depression.

I also know a handful of my kind who have found it hard in every area of Life- Job, Marriage... infact all areas of life.

I remember how hard it was to scale through secondary school- i remember staying at home for 2 terms for school fees. Even gaining admission to the university was very tough- it was just as though the devil was so interested in my case. After years of struggling , I finally gained admission to the university with many challenges as well.

Now, to the Glory of God Im out of school, Nysc certified, patching up with a small scale company- yet i dont feel satisfied with
what Life has offered me. I feel cheated and its annoying when you have to struggle to get jobs with youths who had graduated at age 20/21... and you are just there looking for vacancies that has no age barrier.

My pastor once said i needed to pray well because the devil targets the first born of the family. he said i had to run to God to rescue me. Well...I did pray for many years but things are worse.

I look at my younger brother sometimes and see how well things went for him; most times without stress. I look at other families as well and see how the younger ones are faring well compared to the Eldest. Its really depressing.

Why is Life not fair to us?

Op it is not just about the first born but also about the irst son.

In my culture, the first son carries all the responsibility of taking care of the younger ones, even the parents as well. If a lady happens to be the first born, she is free from any of these responsibilities.

At times I just regret why God made me the first son. I can't enjoy my money. I must cater for my siblings' needs first. It's so frustrating.

Highly-Rated Chelsea Nigerian Prospect Anjorin Appointed England Captain

Chelsea wonderkid Faustino Anjorin was handed extra responsibilities by England U16s head coach Dan Micciche at the ongoing Montaigu Tournament in France.

The midfielder was appointed captain of the Young Lions for their final Group B fixture against Portugal on April 13.

This is not the first time Anjorin has skippered an England youth team. On February 17, 2016, he was the captain of the U15s against the United States squad in a friendly at St. George’s Park.

Manchester City's Tosin Adarabioyo, West Ham's Ajibola Alese, Queens Park Rangers' Nedum Onuoha and Chelsea defender Ola Aina have captained England youth teams in the past.

Faustino Anjorin has qualities to succeed as a footballer and it is envisaged that he'll break into Chelsea U18 squad sometime next season.

Family / This Marriage Counsel Is For Men, It Can Be Useful To You Too.... by justiz5(m): 3:19pm On Apr 13, 2017
This is for men, It may be useful for you too.....

*Have you ever listened to any Master of ceremony crack their usual jokes at wedding receptions?*

*It goes thus:.. "who should pay bills or take care of the children? Who is to pay school fees of children? Who should toil to provide for the home? The whole audience shouts.... "Daddy!".*

*Who should the child buy a car for after graduation? The women answer loudly... "mother!!!"*

*Who should be invited to America if a child is rich and works abroad? ... "Mother of course", roared the women in the audience.*

*Who should die first among the parents? "Daddy!"... all the women in the hall screamed....*

*Truly, such is the fate of an African man.... Are we not born losers?*

*When a lady is single and has four problems and her fiancee has six problems, immediately they get married, the man's problems become automatically ten (10) as the man immediately starts to carry the family problems....*

*Men are made to struggle to take care of family problems, children's education, home maintenance, and virtually all provisions of life....*

*Due to these challenges and unending struggle, men tend to wear out faster and probably die early as a result of stress...*

*...hence, it is important for men to ensure that they don't allow their wives to push them into unsustainable family commitments and expensive lifestyle that he knows he cannot afford or cope with in the long run...*

*....if you do, you run the risk of stress and continuous family unrest. Ensure you take right decisions at all times... do not kill yourself.*

*If you suddenly slump and die, surprisingly, life will continue... be wise and reasonable....*

*Most men are worn out by the time their children graduate or retiring at same period... all the struggle would have already taken serious tolls on his health and life.... and dies prematurely, leaving Mama alone enjoying. Trust women, they quickly settle down while you are long gone...*

*Be sensible, never allow your wife to goad you into embarking on long term stress and burden, you can least afford.....*

*Take notekiss

*When children grow into adulthood, women tend to shift more attention to them at your expense. Infact she is seeing a replacement of you in them...*

*Men should take care of their health, live and eat well as you may go prematurely if you have been subjecting your life to excessive stress for too long.*

*It's even more terrible in marriages under storm. In Yoruba land, our mothers in fact call their male children... "My husband". (Oko mi.) So when your son grows to your height and size, with your shoes and clothes matching your son exactly.... your wife gladly starts to feel fulfilled....*

*As you get older in your marriage, be careful, and avoid creating rift in your home. Be at peace with your wife and children, if not you are endangering yourself, as you are hardly needed any longer.*

*Know that women wax stronger spiritually at old age while men become weaker at old age.*

*Men should live a good life....... enjoy your life, eat the sweat of your labour when you are still strong....*

*Whether you like it or not, your wife will outlive you, particularly if you are older than her (barring accident of life) She will be around to live to complete the unfinished "assignment" and consume the balance of the "dividends of parenthood".*

*So while you are still agile, train your children, take care of your home, but enjoy yourself.... as late evening of life are always unfavourable for men.*

*A word is enough for the wise!*

Senators plot to suspend Ndume for moving a motion to investigate Saraki and Melaye

Author: Adeola Opeyemi

Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South is reportedly about to get himself in trouble for moving a motion that led to the investigation of Bukola Saraki and Dino Melaye. NAIJ.comhas gathered that there is an alleged ongoing plot by the Senate to suspend Senator Ndume over his motion that led to investigation against Senate President Bukola Saraki and Senator Dino Melaye (APC, Kogi West).

Daily Trust reports that Ndume, who was the former majority leader, made a motion last week notifying the Senate of media reports alleging that the Senate was on vengeance against the Customs Comptroller-General, Hamid Ali over a seized SUV car allegedly belonging to Saraki.

The senators are reportedly plotting to suspend senator Ali Ndume after he raised a point of order to investigate Senate President Saraki and Senator Melaye. He also said that there were reports that Senator Melaye did not graduate from Ahmadu Bello University and has been brandishing a fake certificate.

Although Senator Melaye has been cleared of this allegation by the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, and Senator Saraki is still underway, the Senate seems to be out to take revenge on Ndume. An unnamed senator who spoke with Daily Trust said it would be difficult for Ndume to survive the plot.

Ndume has defended himself saying he called the motion so as to protect the integrity of the Senate.

The senator reportedly said: “We are not happy with him at all. He is on self destruction and it is the wish of many of us that he should be suspended. "Another Senator said with the revelations at the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, Ndume is on the verge of being suspended.

He said: “All the allegations he raised turned out to be false. There is no need for collation of signatures. It is just a voice vote that is required. His would be worse than that of Abdulmumini Jibrin (suspended at the House last year). "When he was contacted, Senator Ndume said he was aware of a plot against him but he is not worried.

“I’m aware of it but I’m not worried. Even when they were plotting to remove me as Senate Leader, I knew it but I wasn’t worried.

”Meanwhile, Ndume while speaking at the Senate said hehold no grudges against the two Senator's but he raise the motion for the two senators to be investigated so as to protect the integrity of the Senate. He said there is nothing personal in the motion to investigate and clear all allegations.

He said:“I raised a point of order. It is not personal, if there is anything that border on theintegrity. Here we are that it has been proved beyond reasonable doubt that Melaye is a graduate.

Paris Club refund: Why EFCC must probe Benue Governor, Ortom – Wike

By Seun Opejobi

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to probe his Benue State counterpart, Governor Samuel Ortom over the use of Paris Club refund allocation.

This is coming barely one week after he called for the imposition of a state of emergency on Benue State, over what he described as the state government’s show of incapability in handling security matters.

Speaking with Daily Sun, the governor said despite the amount of money disbursed to Benue, Ortom had not done much to cater to the needs of the people, hence the need for EFCC investigation.

According to Wike, “The EFCC should look into the Paris Club refund allocation to Benue State because there is paucity of infrastructure in the state.
The governor should be asked to account for the money and other allocations he has received in nearly two years in office. ”He maintained that Benue people are suffering “because they don’t have dividends of democracy.

”Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had recently ordered the release of the second tranche of London-Paris Club loan refunds to States.

This is coming at a time the Rivers State Governor had, last week, called for the declaration of state of emergency in Benue State, following the killing of about 52 people in a market in Zaki Biam, Benue State.

The governor had maintained that the state governor failed in managing the problem of insecurity in the state.

Gov Samuel Orton of Benue State

From Juliana Taiwo-Obalonye, Abuja.

The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has said he order for Fulani herdsmen to leave his state because he could no longer fold his arms and watch while they continue killing his people.

Ortom was answering questions from State House correspondents shortly after attending a meeting of the National Economic Council at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He described the herdsmen as ‎unfriendly to his people, adding that he needed to take the decision because his responsibility as the state governor is to ensure safety of lives.

Ortom said, “I ordered armed herdsmen out of my state. They are not friendly to my people.

They kill them and I cannot tolerate that. My job as governor is to provide security for lives and property. I cannot watch seeing people being killed unprovoked. It is not right.

“The only thing my people are living on is farming. When you go to their farmlands and destroy their crop and then when they complain, you kill them. That will never be acceptable. I will not fold my hands to watch this happen.

“I have told the security men to ensure the arrest of all those who have arms. You are aware that through my amnesty programme, I was able to disarm the criminal elements in my society because I believe in the rule of law and due process.

“Without the rule of law, there is no way we can govern. A stronger person will come and take over the affairs of the state from where ever you are. And so, we must abide by the rule of law.

”Ortom said apart from corruption, governments at all levels must be ready to fight impunity which he said is worse than corruption.

“Another thing is impunity, it is worse than corruption. So, why we are fighting corruption, we must also fight impunity. This is not right.

“Those armed herdsmen, are they above the law? So, the security men must track and arrest them and prosecute them according to the law.

“I have told my people that as farmers, they have no business carrying arms. And so, I will protect them as long as I am governor is my state,” he added.

The governor added that since the arms with the herdsmen were not licensed, they must be apprehended.

Benue CP faults gov Ortom on exit order

Gov Samuel Ortom

COMMISSIONER of Police Benue State, Mr Bashir Makama has faulted the decision of Governor Samuel Ortom to evacuate Fulani herdsmen from troubled Buruku local government area of the State.

Governor Ortom had stated that Fulani herdsmen be evacuated from the state following the incessant attacks on Benue communities.

The police boss in an interview with newsmen yesterday in Makurdi at the Police Officers’ Mess kicked against the decision of the Governor, maintaining strongly that nobody has the right to ostracize anyone from any part of the country.

He added that the constitution of the country permits anyone to reside in any part of the nation, averring that this shouldhave been done through persuasion.

“The constitution of Nigeria allows everyone to reside in any part of the country, if order is pronounced it is an infringement on the rights of the herdsmen”.

“The herdsmen would have been advised to leave. And if they see that the people are not receptive to them, they would have quietly left rather than push them out”, he frowned.

Makama assured that Police will do everything to comply with the directive as well as secure the lives of the people evenas he advised them not to be apprehensive by fleeing from homes.

State commissioner Urban and housing who supervises ministry of information and Orientation, Mr John Onoja has said that the order slammed on herders to exit the state was meant for ‘armed herdsmen’.

The commissioner stated this while briefing newsmen at the end of the weeklystate executive council meeting held yesterday.

Onoja explained that the evacuation of the armed herders cut across the whole state and not the troubled Buruku communities.

According to him, ‘I want to put the record straight that the exit order announced by the governor was meant for armed herdsmen, please, let us get it right’.

“The order of exit is across the whole state because it has become a menace in the state.

if our leaders speak out, I believe the fgn will rethink its Fulani policy and the never ending jihad which they so hold close to heart.

As far as the perpetrators of these crimes are the Fulani "Heads" Men, nothing shall be done.

MARK GBILLAH..... THE FULANI INSURGENTS ARE ERASING THE BENUE PEOPLE.

The house of representative member
representing Gwer/Gwer west says the
responsibility of safeguarding lives and
property is solely that of the federal
government. He expressed anxiety over the
lukewarm attitude exhibited by the federal
government to ameliorate the attacks by
fullani which has heightened over years.

In the Middle belt region, we are losing
14.7Billion Dollars yearly because of this
attacks. The need to set up a middle belt
region reconstruction commission is pertinent.
When a Benue man kills one Fulani, he is
apprehended because he has a residence and
means of identity but when Fulani herdsmen
kill a whole generation, they go freely because
the security men have not come up with a
reliable data to ascertain their identity which
means that no one knows their regrouping
base. This is where the security men have to
step up..... Gbillah said.

In Nigeria today, if a citizen loses his life, it
becomes a normal thing unlike the old days.
My people are not treated fairly as many are
being killed without recourse, property
destroyed and many rendered homeless.
Gbillah added.

On the possible solutions, Gbillah highlighted
two panacea. The first being complete
nationwide abolishment of open grazing for
ranching. The second being the composition of special security team made up of the army to mount the volatile areas for quick response to the attacks which will lead to prosecution of
the Fulani attackers.

Mark Gbillah did not mince words to state
that the military is winning the war against
Boko Haram while another most dreaded
Haram is looming in the Middle Belt. He said
what is happening in Benue is more than the
Boko Haram in the North East.

This is a good move. If our National Assembly
members are this fearless in their campaigns
to end this attacks, it will be achieved in no
time.

Thumbs up Engr Gbillah.

Does that solve the problem
Yes it will. It will definitely check the excesses of all Herdsmen.
Bloody clashes between dangerous and bloodthirsty herdsmen and farmers will be reduced to the barest minimum.
