Injustice rains in Nigeria. It is worshipped in all sectors of our economy. Even on Nairaland. That is how one useless mod banned me for promoting MMM. How can you call MMM a shady investment? Is MMM an investment in the first place? May God punish that mod. May he never enjoy money from MMM. Any thing you do with MMM money shall never see the light of the day. Thunder fire that mod.

If sharia is passed into law, Nigeria will be destroyed - Datiri -Rev Dachollom Datiri says that Nigeria will be doomed if Sharia law is enacted by the Senate. – The COCIN President says the bill must be re-thought about. – Datiri says it is unconstitutional to force someone to adhere to the tenets of a religion they do not practice. Rev Datiri, the president of Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), has warned the National Assembly against passing into law,a bill to legalise Shari’a, stressing that it is unlawful and would lead Nigeria into ruins. www.nairaland.com/attachments/4466365_20161110151752_jpeg9447edcb233f2eaa506496d637a0befb The enactment of Sharia law in Nigeria, could lead to great disaster, says Reve Datiri. According to Datiri, such moves may ignite religious war in the country. The clergyman stated this on Wednesday, November 9, when he addressed clergymen at the 19th General Church Council meeting at the Church’s Headquarters, in Jos, capital of Plateau state. He said the National Assembly should have a rethink on the bill for Shari’a Law which has passed Second Reading. He added that the inclusion of such law into the 1999 Constitution, as amended will lead to general collapse of the country. “It is no longer news that this bill has passed Second Reading and is being studied at the committee level. The committee handling this must look at it critically and consider all non-Muslims who will be affected by this law. “It is clearly unconstitutional to force someone to adhere to a law that infringes on their (his or her) religious freedom. That could instigate people. ”Meanwhile, police enforcing Sharia law in Nigeria destroyed more than 238 bottles of beer in Kazaure Local government area of Jigawa state. The information was made public by Hisbah, the stric Islamis law enforcement agency in the state, in Dutse, on Friday, November 4. Explaining the act, Sa’idu Aliyu, the state commandant of Hisbah, said that consumption of beer was prohibited in all parts of the state. He also assured of keeping crack down on alcohol consumption and other “immoral” behavior in the area. https://www.naij.com/1043125-senate-takes-action-nigeria-will-destroyed-datiri.html?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C7782542359 |

APC leaders kick against Buhari's ambassadorial nominees Jerrywright Ukwu – There is a rising disenchantment in the All Progressives Congress (APC). – This is due to the choice of non-career ambassadorial nominees by President Muhammadu Buhari. – The nominees names were submitted last week by the president to the Senate for screening and confirmation. A report by Thisday suggests that there are rumblings in the APC over the recent nomination of non-career ambassadorial nominees by President Muhammadu Buhari. www.nairaland.com/attachments/4394982_bbu_jpegb94d6c725f443554d0cdafb8ee1ef6b1 President Buhari may have infuriated APC leaders with his recent ambassadorial nominations. According to the report, some of the nominees may not scale through the Senate screening due to the mounting opposition against their nomination. The situation could again find the Senate caught in the middle between the presidency and ruling APC over Buhari’s choice of ambassadorial nominees. The report however stated that this is not a direct battle of the Senate, but the red chamber is the only avenue available to aggrieved interests in the APC to challenge President Buhari’s decisions. The ruling party chieftains are reportedly upset over what is now being described as the president’s scant regard for party supremacy in the appointment of persons into government positions. www.nairaland.com/attachments/4394983_bu_jpeg8bb1f48d934b65fc339f35b4214085c0 Senator Olurinimbe Mamora (left) is one those nominated by President Buhari (right). Majority of the party leaders across the country, including APC governors, are said not to be happy with the way the latest ambassadorial list was handled, as they were completely ignored from the selection process. This disappointment was said to have been more pronounced in the South-west geopolitical zone, where a majority of the APC leaders claimed complete ignorance of the persons appointed from their respective states. The aggrieved APC chieftains have vowed to frustrate some ambassadorial nominees on the grounds that they do not represent the reality and endorsement of party leaders in their states. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oE9n0kZXqug The report quoted a source in government who is said to also be a chieftain of the APC, saying aggrieved leaders and their respective governors have concluded plans to frustrate the screening exercise through their representatives in the Senate “because this disregard for party leadership and supremacy must stop. ” The source continued: “This is the same thing the wife of the president, Aisha, was talking about. These same people are the ones who drafted the list as they wanted and pushed it through without consulting anyone. “Even in Ogun state where the governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, is assumed to be very close to the president, was said to have had no say in the choice of nominee from the state, as Ade Asekun was said to have been nominated by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.” APC leaders are said to be particularly worried because of the way the government is being run without recourse to the party leadership’s input. When contacted on the issue, the president’s media aide, Mr. Femi Adesina, said if the grievances are genuine they would be looked into. “Whatever grievances there are, if genuine, they will looked into,” he said. Meanwhile, one of the ambassadorial nominees and former deputy governor of Plateau state, Dame Pauline Tallen has turned down her nomination for ambassadorial appointment by the President Buhari. According to Dame Tallen, she turned down the appointment to attend to the health of her ailing husband. Exclusive : Hoffenheim, ADO Den Haag Defenders Akpoguma, Ebuehi Not Under Consideration For Algeria Match https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/84057Kevin.jpg Suggestions thatHoffenheim loaneeKevin Akpoguma and ADO Den Haag right fullback Tyronne Ebuehi are being considered for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Algeria are false. Representatives of the Nigeria Football Federation have previously sounded out Akpoguma over the possibility of playing for Nigeria at senior level but have gone cold on the idea after he rejected their advances. “The two players Akpoguma and Ebuehi will not be invited for the World Cup qualifier with Algeria, the coach (Rohr) plans to make very few changes to the squad that faced Zambia, ” a top Nigeria Football Federation insider told allnigeriasoccer.com. “Ebuehi first has to break into the first team of his club before thinking of a call up to the national team.” Indeed, Tyronne Ebuehi has to establish himself in the first team squad of ADO Den Haag before he is considered for the Super Eagles, with the 20-year-old playing only 26 games to date in all competitions since he made his debut. He was born in Haarlem to a Dutch mother and a Nigerian father. Ifeanyi Emmanuel www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=20823 |

Exclusive: Super Eagles Stars Eddy Onazi, Kingsley Madu On The Radar Of Paris Saint-Germain https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/11661Onazi.jpg There is a possibility that Nigeria internationals Eddy Onazi and Kingsley Madu will move to the French Ligue 1 in the near future. REVEALED: The Five Super Eagles Players In Danger Of Missing Out Of The Squad For Algeria Tie Close sources to the coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr have revealed to Owngoalnigeria.com, that as many as five players are on the brink of being omitted from the list of players for the Algeria tie. We gathered the manager has read the riot act to his players and made it clear to them, that he will only call players who will add depth and value to the team, insisting that the era of trying players is over. Rohr will from the tie against Algeria call up players, who are ready to push his first choice options for a spot as he aims to re-introduce competition for spots into the team. To that effect names like Musa Mohammed, Jamiu Alimi, Nosa Igiebor, Kingsley Madu and Shehu Abdullahi have all been penciled down as potential casualty. Alimi has failed to step up his game, since making the bench in Rohr’s first game as coach against Tanzania. He failed to make the most of Leon Balogun absence through injury as Kenneth Omeruo was preferred ahead of him in the game against Tanzania. Igiebor and Shehu are also battling for their national team career under the German, as the emergence of Anderson Esiti who got the nod ahead of the duo when the coach wanted to make a midfield substitution, has put them on the outer. Madu on his part has failed to push Elderson Echiejile for the left back slot of the team and already, the scout for a credible back up has been instigated by the coach. Musa who was handed his debut by the manager is not getting games in Turkey for high flying Istanbul Basaksehir, a situation which lead to his axing in the game against Zambia. owngoalnigeria.com/2016/10/21/revealed-the-five-super-eagles-players-in-danger-of-missing-out-of-the-squad-for-algeria-tie/ |
W/C Qualifier: Super Eagles Needs Moses, Success For Algeria Tie - Pascal Augustine Akhilomen www.nairaland.com/attachments/4390975_patrickpascal_jpeg25ab3202e588efae2e6ed5497bf8fe88 Ex international, Patrick Pascal has urged the Nigeria Football Federation not to stop Super Eagles technical adviser, Genort Rohr from extending an invitation to the duo of Victor Moses and Isaac Success for next month's 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Desert Foxes of Algeria slated for the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, in Uyo. It was reported in some media that the Glass House are planning to suspend Moses and Success for failing to honour their invitation for the team's match against Zambia which they won 2-1. However, there are concerns in the football caucus that taking such an action won't be the best move for the team right now. This was further made clear by Super Eagles team coordinator, Pascal, who was part of the team prior to the 1998 World Cup hosted in France. He told soccernet.com.ng that the team needs their best players to conquer the Desert Foxes in Uyo. "It's amazing that the Nigeria Football Federation are planning to stand in the way of the Super Eagles technical adviser, Genort Rohr from inviting Victor Moses and Isaac Success against Algeria. To be frank, I don't really think they are really taking the matter seriously even though I read it in the media that they want to ban Moses and Success," Pascal told Soccernet.com.ng. "Anyway, we should always be careful with the way we handle issues that could directly or indirectly have effect the cohesion and progress of the team. What we need now is our best players and I believe presently Moses and Success are not playing badly for their respective clubs in England. "Perhaps, some people may be blowing false trumpet just to gain media attention, something which I don't think is necessary at this point of the qualifying campaign for the Super Eagles," he said. www.soccernet.com.ng/2016/10/wc-qualifier-super-eagles-needs-moses.html |
Ahmed Musa scores first English Premier League goal The forward capped a beautiful display to score his first English topflight goal in the Foxes victory against the Eagles on Saturday Ahmed Musa scored his first English Premier League goal in Leicester City’s 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace on Saturday. His strike and that of Shinji Okazaki and Christian Fuchs were all Claudio Ranieri’s men needed to silence the visitors at the King Power Stadium – which ended their three matches winless run. The Nigerian combined well with Islam Slimani to fire a powerful shot past goalkeeper Steve Mandanda from outside the area. However, he was replaced by Demarai Gray in the 81st minute. It was the 24-year-old’s first strike in six English topflight appearances for the Foxes since his move from CSKA Moscow for a club record fee. The victory takes Leicester City to the 13th position with 11 points from nine games. They face Tottenham Hotspur in their next outing at the White Hart Lane on October 29. tbaba1234:Ok. You are right then because the game against Tahiti is the most recent. Yea I now remember. Don't know why the ''sweet victory'' against the lone stars came so quickly. |
tbaba1234:Haba bros, How can you just forget that we laboured for a draw in Liberial. They almost defeated us there. They made us look ordinary in Liberia. The Liberian team (The Lone Stars) made things so difficult for us in their country such that, we were not even so sure of defeating them in Nigeria. The Lone Stars were coming to beat us on our home soil. I was not expecting the Super Eagles to defeat them by such a big goal margin. We were so happy with the win. The presence of Mikel stabilized the mid field and V. Moses run riot of the lone stars. I can still recal how Ahmed Musa dribbled himself with the ball and fell down without the opponents drawing close ![]() |

TheSuperNerd:It is very annoying to see someone shouting ''facts and stats'' up and down only just to intimidate people while the same people start becoming biased to the same facts and stats he so claim to honour, especially when they do not favour his position. Page after page you see him exhibiting this same unusual behaviour. All I know is that your favourite players must not always be in the national team. All Nigerian foreign born footballers must not play for us. The NFF and the Coaches will always decide. Whether their decision favour us or not should not become a topic of discussion to spew trash here all the times. Sir forgivess makes it look as if some members of the forum are responsible for the absence of his more prefered choices. There is no page you will not see him doing the same thing. Why must we continue wasting so much energy to explain basic things to people all the time, thereby ignoring the most important things that bind us here? If you know any player that is doing well, bring him to the notice of the members of the threads concerned. Trying hard to make us look dark just to promote a player is dam bad. What notion are you trying to plant or promote in the minds of majority of people who follow our sense of discuss both home and abroad. What about those yet unborn, who may one day stumble over such writeups? |

Respect Enyeama’s decision, Shorunmu tells Rohr. Former Super Eagles shot-stopper and goalkeeper coach, Ike Shorunmu, has called on Gernot Rohr to respect the decision of Vincent Enyeama to be left out of the senior national team. Enyeama hung his gloves for the Super Eagles following a stand-off with former coach, Sunday Oliseh in Belgium last year. Gernot Rohr on filling the vacant position left by Oliseh has not hidden his love for Enyeama and his desire to have him back in his fold. Shorunmu who handed over his goalkeeping job for the Eagles to Enyeama in 2002 has called on Rohr to keep faith with Carl Ikeme who has not done bad himself since taking over from Enyeama. Shorunmu speaking, said, “There have been several calls for him (Enyeama) to return to the team, but he has insisted and his decision should be respected even if the manner at which he exited the international scene was not a good one,”“He should be left alone! The same thing happening now occurred to me when I retired from international football”“ Maybe that’s what Enyeama feels as well. The likes of Ikeme, Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa must be given a chance.” http://www.soccernet.com.ng/2016/10/respect-enyeamas-decision-shorunmu.html |
Father Reveals How Soldiers Shot And Killed Nigeria Premier League Player Izu Joseph https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/image-44-750x350.jpg The late Izu Joseph. The father of late Shooting Stars of Ibadan player Izu Joseph has narrated how his son was shot and killed by military operatives in Bayelsa State. Ruben Izu in a chat with an online new medium in Nigeria revealed that his son who is on holiday in his hometown in Bayelsa state, South West Nigeria was gunned down after coming out of the bathroom. “Eye witnesses at the scene narrated to me how it was killed and it is very painful for me as his father,” a tearful Rueben told Naijafootball247.com. “He is a professional footballer who just ended the season and he decided to spend some time with his wife and daughter in the village. “As is usual in the village, he went to take his bath in the jetty which is a common place to go in the village to have a bath. “As he was taking his bath and wanting to come out he heard gunshots and began to run like every other person there.” The story continues that Joseph Izu ran into a soldier who shot him before he could explain anything. As he fell to the ground, he cried out to the soldier that he was not a criminal but a professional football, even showing him an Identity card that he had in his wallet, but the soldier shot at him again. “What bothered me the most was that my son was treated like a criminal? If he had committed any crime, wouldn’t he have been caught an arrested all the while he was at Shooting Stars playing? “What happened to due process? Why cut short a young life?” Rueben Izu asked. Rueben Izu continued that the soldiers at the scene used his sons phone to make a video of him battling with his life before they pushed him back into the river and then they left the scene. He reportedly swam out and was rushed to the nearest hospital who could not remove the bullets and he died on his way to a bigger hospital in Yenagoa. A father’s plea “What I want to know is the crime my son committed? What would they kill him like that? Rueben said. “We need to curb these extra judicial killings. Why shoot like this? It is not right. This carelessness by the police and other security agencies should be checked. “Lies are being cut short every day. My son is a professional footballer and now he has been murdered,” Rueben Izu said. “He was the bread winner of the family. Losing him means we have lost an economic pillar. It is a sad moment in our lives.” Joseph Izu played for Shooting Stars in the 2015/ 16 football season and had previously played for Bayelsa United and Unicem Rovers. He was also part of the Beach Football team in last year’s Copa Lagos. He left behind him a young wife and a five year old daughter. http://owngoalnigeria.com/2016/10/17/father-reveals-how-soldiers-shot-and-killed-nigeria-premier-league-player-izu-joseph/ |

Joejonah:Who told you Nigeria can't produce rice to feed 5 States? Chaiiiii. My brother we have the land to do so. What is lacking is the strong will power from the government. An average Nigerian Farmer cultivates less than 30 bags of rice from one hectare of land due to the use of crude implements. If such farmers can have access to farm implement like rice transplanting machine, tractors, harvesters, rice cutters, etc we will go places. A hectare of land shouldn't produce anything less than 50 bags of rice with the use of better technology. Our government is dump together with anyone that supports rice importation. Who told you we can't even produce stone free rice? We already have stone free rice locally produced in the market. We can do more with an enabling environment. You want the government to open borders for things that can be produced locally, but still complain of unemployment right? Continue... |
