Actress Victoria Inyama chides Pastor Funke Adejumo for ‘attacking’ women during sermons https://cdn.punchng.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/30133859/WhatsApp-Image-2021-12-30-at-11.37.01-AM.jpeg Victoria Inyama; Felix Adejumo Nollywood actress, Victoria Inyama, on Thursday, chided Pastor Funke Adejumo of Agape Christian ministries for ‘attacking’ women during her sermons. The actress took to her Instagram page to share a sermon where Adejumo warned women against speaking ill of their husbands in public. Reacting to the sermon, Inyama wrote, “Madam Preacher. Almost all your attacks are on Women. The fact that you wear the trousers in your marriage doesn’t mean you should keep attacking women. “You only talk about what the woman should or should not do always. I can’t even place your husband’s face. Are you home long enough to do all you preach? Because I see you in different countries most times. “Marriage is a union between two people. There’s no ‘Perfect ‘. I would love to hear your husband preach about you if he ever does.” She also cautioned the cleric against enabling abuse saying, “And stop enabling abuse. Only bad behaviour needs to be hidden.” https://punchng.com/actress-victoria-inyama-chides-pastor-funke-adejumo-for-attacking-women-during-sermons/ |
AGurlnoname:We have also had stories from the female gender on how their husbands are not treating them right on the social media even here. The experience he has shared is a common thing among the females. It is so easy to lay hands on, in every neighborhood. If you doubt it, it's ok. It's happening before my very own eyes. Your response validates it. Pray your relatives do not experience the same bitter pill. Lastly, you speak like one who torment his husband, your type is always aggressive at such stories. |

Now if any of my relatives want to marry such a lady and wants to find out about her lifestyle, I will gladly tell him so he can make his choice whether to Mary a fu..ck girl or not. Another thing with these 'ashawo girls is that "na them de over do holy holy for Church pass. They appear so religious in the Church but at night, na dem de chop Pe'nis pass. The big boys that bleeped the hell out of them do not consider them good for Marriage, it is you the Godly type that would want to go and neck-dip your di.ck in the wide public puss.y in the name of marriage because one useless simp on nairaland wants to make believe a mess girls past life does not count? #Shame# |

Dangote's Donation Rejected by a Benue State Traditional Ruler https://www.today.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/26090858.jpg By Terver Adom Notre Dame Secondary School, Mkar is a young school in Gboko, Benue State. Just 25 this year. Graduating its first set in 2002, by every standard, it has a baby old students association known as Notre Dame Old Girls Association, NOGA. Today (6/11/2021), at the ceremony to mark the silver jubilee and an appeal fund of N90 million naira to build an ICT centre, it was interesting to hear the Mag'Clara Nguevese Ude led national executive committee announced a cash donation of six hundred thousand naira. However, Dangote Cement Gboko Plant of Dangote Group, owned by the richest man in Nigeria announced a donation (cheque) of one hundred thousand naira only. Will Alh Aliko Dangote, the richest black man be happy to hear that? Well, HRH Chief Daniel Abomtse, Ter Tyosin II, who was also a guest at the occasion unequivocally stated that Dangote's one hundred thousand naira should be returned to him. The royal father said this in Tiv, English and Hausa to the admiration of almost all the guests at the event. Because he sat down to give this strong statement, people stood up at various corners to catch a glimpse of the person who was speaking with such vehemence. But how will Dangote give 100k when 'little' girls have given 600k? Haba Dangote, Doo ga cii. Insecurity: Ortom Backs Kukah, Asks FG To Stop Intimidating Nigerians https://www-channelstv-com.cdn.ampproject.org/i/s/www.channelstv.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Kukah-Ortom.jpg Combination of Bishop Matthew Kukah and Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom. The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has backed the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Kukah over his recent comments on insecurity. Kukah had during an address to the US Congress Commission on July 15, accused President Muhammadu Buhari of showing preference to people of his religion which according to him, has worsened the rivalry between Christians and Muslims. Kukah said the Buhari administration has failed to address insecurity but the presidency had replied the Catholic bishop, accusing him of trying to sow discord and strife among Nigerians. The Presidency has since tackled Kukah, describing his comments as “unfortunate and disappointing”, complaining that the cleric “castigated” Nigeria before the US lawmakers. However, supporting the cleric via a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesman, Terver Akase, Governor Ortom asked the Federal Government to stop intimidating patriotic Nigerians who are raising genuine concerns over the worsening security and economic situation in the country. Ortom said he “stands with Bishop Kukah on the issues he raised,” adding that he would have said similar things if he were to address the same audience. “Governor Ortom states that the country is practicing democracy which has no room for repression and dictatorship,” the statement partly read. “He notes that the country’s Constitution guarantees the freedom of speech to all citizens, unlike a military regime which suppresses the right of the people to voice their opinions on challenges facing their country.” The Benue governor described the cleric as “one Nigerian who is selfless and speaks his mind frankly on national issues calling on the government to ensure justice, the rule of law and equity for all.” The statement added, “He also took a swipe at the Presidency’s response to the criticism, wondering why the current administration has chosen to politicize the views of Bishop Kukah when all the issues he highlighted in his address are facts about the country. “He says Kukah was right when he stated that nepotism has been elevated above federal character by the present administration. He further agrees with the Bishop that Christians across the country are targets of elimination and thousands have already fallen to the sword of jihadist supremacists.” https://www.channelstv.com/2021/07/24/insecurity-ortom-backs-kukah-asks-fg-to-stop-intimidating-nigerians/ |
Romanoff:If you are convinced that your conclusion is out of love why are you afraid of my prayers? Watch out as this scenario plays out in your life later on. Your son must fall victim to an a cunny mum with kids. The woman will charm him to take care of her kids she had with another man at the expense of you. You will cry but find no solution. You come on nairaland and promote biased judgement at the expense of the men thinking it will not backfire. It will surely do. |
Romanoff:I hope when your precious son finds himself in such a situation. You will advise him to do same (That is to foot the bills of another man's child that is well to do). The trash that come out of Women's mouth amazes me. May God bring this situation in the lives of one of your sons. |
Why women in Nollywood have more money than men – Linda Osifo By Fikayo Olowolagba Nollywood actress, Linda Osifo has explained why most women in the movie industry are more successful than their male colleagues. When asked why women do better, have more cars than the men in the industry, Osifo, speaking during an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Rubbing Minds, said there are so many more avenues for women to make money than men. According to her, actresses have ambassadorial deals from wig brands, skin care, clothing brands, which is why some of them have more money than men and are able to acquire houses. Linda said, “As a woman compared to a man I have more options to get more jobs than a man. “I can advertise hair, wigs, shoes and a wide range of clothes from brands which most men cannot. The ratio of men to women is 1:3 which makes the market wider for us. “I’ve become a brand ambassador to skincare brands and that’s an industry that men don’t dominate and conquer so this is how women are more successful. “Women have more opportunities to make money.” The 29-year-old actress said the mentality of the society that a woman can’t make it on her own is the reason for the rumors that most actresses have illicit affairs. “I’ve come to understand that society has the mindset that most women can’t succeed on their own. It’s a big problem because there are many women who are doing so much for themselves,” she added. She noted that social media plays an important role in an actor’s career because we are in a digital world but talent sustains your success. “The more people on social media platforms, the more you can market to them but at the end of the day talent sustains success,” she said. https://dailypost.ng/2021/07/13/why-women-in-nollywood-have-more-money-than-men-linda-osifo/

What are the steps for the remittance of annual Returns to Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)? I registered my business name in the year 2016. I have paid annual returns to CAC up to last year which is N1,000 annual. I visited the Customer care of the CAC this week and I was told I have to do it through electric means this time around. It was then I became aware that the annual returns has increased from the usual N1,000 to N3,000 per annum. While the penalty for non remittance has increased from N3,500 to N8,000. I came back to log into the CAC website. Everything looks so confused. I have created account on their website but I do not know what next to do. Please those of you who have escaped the huddle, I need your assistance. I have sent a mail to CAC but I have not received any feedback. I searched their Facebook page but they seem not to respond to questions asked by customers. cc: puskin, FOD, dominique, naijacutee please help a friend in need. |
Ukan P Kurugh Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru Chief of Army Staff. Sir, THE EXTRA JUDICIAL KILLINGS AND ASSAULT PERPETRATED BY THE SOLDIERS OF THE NIGERIAN ARMY ON INNOCENT RESIDENTS IN BENUE STATE. It is with a deep sense of patriotism and duty to our dear nation that I write you this letter over the unjustifiable harrasment and extra judicial killings of innocent residents in Benue State by soldiers of the Nigerian Army. There exists a plethora of sad accounts of the ordeal narrated by victims who have been mercilessly tortured by the soldiers of the Nigerian Army, some of such victims narrowly escaping with their lives. Recently, the army ravaged a community known as Agboghul in Makurdi, Benue State. They subjected the residents in the community to horrible forms of torture, inhuman and degrading treatment over the excesses of one its members. One of the victims of this attack is Joseph Odeh a staff of Benue State Environmental and Sanitation Authority (BENSESA) who was innocently doing his laundry in his house when soldiers stormed his house, tied him up and beat him to stupor amidst the cries of his mother. He is still receiving treatment for the injuries sustained. Sir, it may interest you to know that your soldiers also beat up a doctor who is currently a senior Registrar with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) on his way to his official call duty, despite identifying himself with his ID card. It is reported that the soldiers seized the ID card broke it and forced him to lie flat on the bare ground whilst threatening the already freightened doctor with their firearms. Just as pockets of these unprovoked attacks on innocent civilians are recorded daily, it appears that nothing is already being put in place to abate this ugly situation. All over the world there exists standard accepted conventions and protocols on the rules of engagement, for which the military and paramilitary must comply with especially in its interactions with civilians and the Nigerian Army should not be an exception. For every civil society there must be strict adherence to laid down laws and procedures by all else such a society hastily degenerates. The situation in Benue State is already tensed owing to the violence and incessant killings metted out by the fulani herdsmen. An average citizen is already too traumatised and cannot afford to be afraid of the military who are meant to protect us! It is on this note that we most respectfully urge you Sir, to use your good office to intervene as a matter of urgency, and call your soldiers to order, so as to douse the building tension and apprehension amongst residents in the state. Yours Faithfully Ukan Kurugh Cc. Chief of Defence Staff. Amnesty International United Nations United Nations Human Rights Human Rights Watch Ukan P Kurugh is an activist and a humanitarian worker.

Southern Governors Made Laws Without Consulting Fulani Leaders -Prof Usman Yusuf (Video) In a live TV interview with Africa Independent Television (AIT), A Fulani man identified as Usman Yusuf, a Nigerian professor of haematology-oncology and bone marrow transplantation and an alumnus of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, has expressed his disappointment with the Southern governors over their meeting yesterday in Delta State, where they resolved to ban open grazing in their regions. Usman who was not happy about the development said it was not proper for the Southern governors to have gathered in a hotel room and made laws for a certain group of people without consulting their leaders (Fulani leaders). According to him, he asked “did any of the Fulani leaders consulted?” He quoted a popular dictum by Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948), which says “Whatever you do for me but without me, you do against me”. He pointed out that the governors decision to ban open grazing was wrong without carrying the Fulani leaders along. According to him, this is the problem of government in Nigeria where laws are made without consulting with the people. Speaking further, Prof Usman said that in event of that nature, they (Southern governors) supposed to sit down with the people they want to make laws for and discuss an alternative measures to the laws they have made. But that did not happen in any way. https://mobile.twitter.com/AIT_Online/status/1392453666574045189?s=19 It could be recalled that the Southern governors had convened a meeting yesterday in Asaba, Delta State to discuss on the issue of insecurity, the need for restructuring and the Fulani herdsmen crisis rocking the region for the past few months. Insecurity has remained a major challenge in the country especially in the North East and the criminals in their activities, have infiltrated the Southern part of the country to cause mayhem in various communities, kill, rob and rape women/young girls. The Southern governors had in several occasions called on the federal government to find a lasting solution to the menace and had since created a backup security system (Amotekun Corps and the recently established Eastern Security Network, Ebubeagu) to fight crimes in the region. https://news-af.feednews.com/news/detail/3c5c58f93c9591a15a246323bc927a2f?client=news |

Jungle Justice: Irate youths allegedly burn motorcycle snatcher to death in Benue By Sunny Green Itodo https://www.idomavoice.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/IMG-20210502-WA0017.jpg An irate mob on Sunday reportedly burnt a man to death for allegedly stealing a motorcycle in Makurdi, the Benue state capital. IDOMA VOICE gathered that the alleged motorcycle snatcher who was said to has stolen the bike from North Bank was overpowered by the irate mob at a street close to the popular Wurukum market while trying to find his way back to the main road after discovering their was no road in the street he entered. “The motorcycle snatcher was set ablaze after a man raised an alarm that he stole the motorcycle and was being chased by youths from North Bank who were still at Wurukum roundabout as at the time the bike snatcher was caught at a street near the Wurukum market,” a source told IDOMA VOICE. A Makurdi resident who goes by the handle UniqueSusan Adams on Facebook, who also confirmed the incident on social media said jungle justice should be condemned adding that it is inhumane. She wrote: “I work up with so much excitement because today’s service promises to be powerful, had my bath and dressed up and stop a bike Approaching wurukum market in Makurdi, Benue state we started see smoke raising to heaven, the bike man brought me out of my confusion and said “nah thief Dem day born” I was shocked and almost at tears, hmmmmm So I asked what did he steal and he said “bike” at this Junction I felt so bad and hurt inside that human will kill because someone stole his bike, is the bike worth human life? What have we done to people who steal our dreams and future away from us? In years to come will there be any youth in Makurdi? What makes them think they are any better than the man they murdered? Who gave them the right to take a life? These are some of the numerous questions that I kept asking myself Stealing is wrong but killing the thief is worst Any man that suggest jungle Justice is inhumane Any man that light the matches on a fellow human is a monster A lot is happening in Benue, women and children are killed on daily basis and we still have time for such wickedness not to the boy alone but to everyone related to him I hope we begin to see that at the long run,we are the cause of our problems” Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the Benue State police command was yet to comment on the incident. https://www.idomavoice.com/2021/05/jungle-justice-irate-youths-allegedly-burn-motorcycle-snatcher-to-death-in-benue.html |
