Since u submitted the birth certificate and u are over 16 yrs of age, the ECO might overlook the issue of sponsor's letter.

All u need in ur account is £5400 for 28days since u have paid all the fees

Read the last line of my post, i mentioned there that the 28days includes weekends.

If you have the required amount b4 the salary is paid in then u got nothing to worry about. Is that account on your name? Who is your sponsor, your daddy or your mum?

I have applied to get a visa for the pre-sessional course in university of manchester last friday (29 of July).
The money to fund my studies is held in my mother's account, i have sent three bank statements for the last three months (4,5,6) , a birth certificate, all the necessary forms, a lette from the bank explaining that my mother have all the necessary funds to finance my studies in the UK and that I am her child, but i forgot to enclose the sponsorship letter from my mother, so do you think that i will get a visa refusal for that reason ?

You sent 3 different bank account? How much is in each bank account u sent and did u account the 28days rule?
Lastly. . how much is ur school fees?

For over a month now, my sponsor has refrained from spending the money in the account whose statement I will be presenting at the embassy since the last salary was paid in (June) because of the student visa application requirements,
Now my sponsor has called me up that the salary for July would be paid in this week
Now my questions are these,
In printing the statement, should i request it be printed up on till before the July salary? By this the 28 days would have been in tact. Or do I request that it be printed with the July salary addition? (This means more funds). would the 28 days counting now start again?[/b]The 28 day period, does it include weekends? I mean is it 28 working days?

If you have the required amount in that account [b]before the salary is paid in then it will not affect the 28days accounting, if not then it will.

i just came across this topic and i decided to post a comment based on what a lot of people have been writing.let it be known that crystal services doesnt have a single agent whats ever.anybody that paraded himself or herself as anagent is a scammer.applicant are just required to walk into their office at famous busstop and get a form for just 1000 naira only and all u require to bring are police report,affidavit(a legal document binding you and the agency together and stating some conditions of good conduct from the applicant),guarantor,international passport and passport photographs.the whole process is free,but a condition was placed on the medical report,which is that you have option of doing it through the agency or you do it yourself at st nicholas or national hospital abuja.the agency is not forcing you to do it through the but if you have to then you pay 50,700.i dont see any angle where the issue of scam comes into this.the agents are the ones chargin applicant different fees rangin from 100k to 800k which the principal officer of the programme kicked against.on the bta,applicants are the ones that agitated for the loan.this also affected the initial departure date.the internet is there for people to visit to know more about canada and the number of imigrant that they are expecting in a year.7000  is a small amount,and know that they are not moving everybody ones.i see no reason,if not for poverty why some people will see payin 50700 as being a scam move.note also that the principal officer of this programme borrowed some people this medical fee of 50,700 also,but later stopped it when he realised that its been abused[b].i am not defending the agency but i am letting you know what u need to know[/b] instaed of sitting at home and just assuming others that are partaking are dumb or silly.it worth trying,and if you dont try,you cant get.i am also an applicant of the programme and i was one of the speaker at the syposium in unilag.august 19th is the departure date and its in batches.thanks

You are making a mistake here. the £5400 maintenance fees and the school fees are all u need. Your accommodation and living expenses are all in that £5400 (outside london) maintenance fees. That is a yr cost of living outside london estimated by UKBA.

I'm also worried that u are using company's account insteady of putting the money into ur own account. The money supposed to be in ur account with ur name as far as UK student visa rule is concern. I hope that the ECO will over look some of these mistakes.

heLlo people,when i went to submit my application i was told i filled the wrong form and was given a new form to fill without any guide lines to go with it,so i hurriedly filled the form,from the last comment i decided to view the uk student visa application requirements and it states that i need to show maintainance funds for 9months for outside london n that applies to me,so instead of filling 5200 pounds i filled 7200 pounds and that increased my total money to 5.2M but that was a mistake on my part,if i had filled the correct amount 5200 pounds the total would have amounted to 4.7m which i have in my account,so pls is it possible for the high commission to over look my mistake and correct it because it seems i have the exact amount i need

You don't need to panic since u have more than enough in ur account, if u met other requirements then u will be fine.

4.7million is alot of money, how much is ur school fees and the maintenance fees? Is ur school in London or outside London? Did you keep both the school fees and the maintenance fees in ur account for 28days?

Check for flight from Healthrow airport to Leeds/Bradford airport or take train from Healthrow to Leeds then Bradford interchange or Bradford forester Square

@sandraodio  ,   Do not be afraid, it is not about the current balance, it is the cash inflow, you will surely get your visa. They are not silly like some people think. They know people can arrange 5.2million from their bankers or anyone locally just to get the visa. It's the honesty regarding the account activities that matter. As long as Money would still continue to be going in and out of the account while your application is there, then it's OK. They would deal with the H/Q of the Bank in Lagos not the Branch where it was printed, [/b]they know how to access each applications they receive. Just trust God, everything would come out smoothly. Not by power, nor by might,  But by His SPirit.

You managed to misled the poster, this is [b]student visa issue and not visiting visa. If he doesn't have the required school fees and maintenance fees kept in that account for 28days then even if billions of dollars  are flowing in and out of that account he can still be refused a visa. Read UK student visa rules.

As it is now, I did borrowed some of d funds I put in my acc as my maintainance fund and I will return it soon as I get my VISA, i[b]s there a way ukba will further investigate the availability of this fund after visa issuance, or will one be required to show a fresh statement upon entry into the uk? Might d school also request a prove of this during registration? [/b] Or how does ukba intend to verify this?

I really wouldn't want to discourage anybody here as i have been accused in the past but the immigration or the school has the right to ask u to show the availability of the fun as u declared during ur visa application. A NL member here was in such situation last yr, i haven't seen him here for a while now. Whatever u do, don't gamble with the school fees cos the school don't take no for an answer when it comes to paying ur full school fees.

Check ur school payment policy, some allows 2 or 3 installations while some requires u to pay all during the registration.

I will be shocked if the BHC issued you that visa. Student visa rules/requirements are straight forward, if you are required to have £5.20m and u have only[b] £4.7m[/b] then u don't stand a chance.

Rent is not that cheap in Sheffield cos of the two universities in that city, but rents depends on how far the accommodation is to uni and city centre. You could get £300 for a double bedroom a month with or without bills.

School accommodations are more expensive, so u should be looking private renting. Check ur school website for registered private landlords and have a look at what is on offer.

@ Justwise, dont mind him. Infact non of the victims have left Nigeria. They re still nurturing faint hope! Even yesterday, i saw 2 different agents stil advertising this scam in the papers

They will keep pushing the fraud until they milk more victims then they will disappear.
