Don't confuse people the more, if you can not help them. You are one of the people who still go around to spoil the image of Nigeria. well, God will judge if you are the obstacle against people/Nairaland progress. (Amen). Shame on u miserable cretin, you will get student visa to Malaysia without offer letter? It makes me laugh when aspiring criminals like you start calling God's name, yes God will judge me and you, don't worry about that. |

JeSoul: You have a point there is a shame factor that may prevent some men from coming out with their stories . . . however, it will take a ton of overwhelming evidence to convince that this is no more than a very small minority. You also have a point we have only heard one side of the story . . . but why is it that usually the marriage breaks down right after the man (or woman in rarer cases) gets their green card or papers? I'm usually on the side of "lets hear both sides of the story", but I've seen too many cases of women getting ditched after their african husbands get what they wanted from them. I've even heard friends tell me their parents/older relatives are advising them to get married for papers and then leave. For the most part there is no other option other than GC marriage for most african immigrants out of status to remain in the country. Its a terrible blight on our name and it makes me feel so bad for the unsuspecting westerner who's been tricked into it, especially when there are children involved. I'm not dismissing the fact that many such marriages cracks after the paper comes out, however, what we don't know is the actual timing, is it a month after he got the paper or 5yrs? Another thing here is this: The man may stomach all sorts nonsense from the wife while waiting for the paper to come out, he will swallow the insults from the wife, the constant reminder that she brought him out from Africa or saved him from been deported, he goes out to work while she is busy spending and lazying around at home, then the paper comes out, the man has a voice now, he can question some of her attitude (Which wouldn't go down well with her) this will lead to marriage break down and the wife will be first to tell everybody that the hubby left her after getting the paper. I'm not giving excuses for men that behave that way but these are some of the issues that lead to marriage break down unfortunately the man and paper get the blame |

JeSoul: While there may be some very small minority of green-card marriages that are truly based on love, the fact is the overwhelming majority of arranged marriages leave the foreign women, and the resulting children at the losing end of the stick. I think its very rare to see any man crying over his arrangee wife that he loves her and she's treating him bad - very rare. Its very rare cos a brother will be ashamed of coming here to complain about his white wife leaving him or runing away, he will get very little sympathy from pple here especially African women. I'm not in any way disputing SOME of the stories i read here about Africa men leaving their foreign wives but i don't believe all of them, there are more to their stories. I don't think leahsarahk is lying, especially the part the church played. The whole marriage break down can't be the fault of the man, i never read from those foreign women telling us where they go wrong, unfortunately each time a marriage btw a foreign women and an African man goes wrong, paper issue comes up. |

dadaja2004: There are some countries you must appear while some you dont need apperance. Countries like USA, UK, Canada. it's a must you appear. so what we do is that we use our connection and experience in the job to make a way for whose so ever is ready. It is better to take a risk than not to take a risk at all. So you are saying that for UK student visa application for e.g, that the applicant need to go for an interview? How will ur 'connection' help an applicant? |

dadaja2004: SAHABAY, well, thanks for your intrest. The requirement is a simple thing. It will take me 2weeks to process it. I need your International Passport. 2 Passport Photograph. Note: To process, it has no financial committment from your side until after the two weeks when the visa is out, confirmed, Then you pay what is agreed. so, if you need additonal information call me on that my no. Thats all u need for student visa? |

Also sent my present bank statement as I have pulled out from the contributory scheme so my pay slip shows my exact salary without the deductions. Did I answer u well enuff? Submitting the brith cert is good but u still need to submit bank statement that shows that u have enough money to take care of urself in the UK, payslip is ok bt the point is. . do you have the money in ur account ready for use? If u have the money ready in ur account and the proof of rela/ship then making a fresh application will even be quicker than appeal |

juzme: @Kidonig you dont need to use all your energy trying to convince Tensor777. I think this posting is quite clear. Noone is telling anyone not to come to UK rather it is a kind of warning or advice on the majority who think UK is still a place you can make good money while living as a student. By the way, Noone also is saying that Education is not very important especially when you obtain it from the western countries. And for someone to tell us here that it is easy to find a part time job these days in Uk, the person is not telling us the truth. I have friends for the past one year they dont have job and many of them have finished their Masters and some of them switch to other courses while some could not switch because of financial problem. I dont want to generalize but most people I have seen has this problem. Of course there are people doing well in UK and those people have established long time ago. I think we are talking about PROSPECTIVE STUDENTs who may have high expectation from UK. Sure, if you just want to acquire education and then think of what do next then you can always choose any country of your choice. Again, nobody is comparing UK with Nigeria. Noone is saying that UK education is of low standard here. We are talking about economic gain during and after your study. Neverthless, there are people who could be very lucky in life. So if you are the kind of person who believe in luck then you dont need to take any advice from here. Enough said! |
