I have to say thanks to everybody, most especially, justwise. I went to pick up my passport today at the British High Commision, I was excited because I'm so sure of getting the visa but alas! I was denied! the ECO said I claimed 10 points for my CAS but my CAS is invalid as the passport number on my CAS statement is entirely different from the CAS statement i submitted, I checked all photocopies for error, but there is none. They gave no right of appeal but administrative review. While I was thinking of considering the administrative review, then a thought came to my mind that it might be the college that made the mistake. I really don't know why it happened to me, I'm so sad and confused right now, please what could be a cause of this, could it be a mistake by the school? or the ECO? Thanks.

I'm sorry that u were refused, it could be a mistake from the admission application form u completed or the college as u pointed out, send the college an email and explain to them, they could correct the mistake and re-issue u another CAS.

footreja abi wetin u identify yrself with, i belive indeed you are a fool nt to no u can get yr new epassport within 2 to 3 days with only 2 foto passport of yrself here in ikoyi, lagos.

Stop misleading pple here, an applicant need to get his/her finger print taken and sign digital signature, these can only be done at the immigration office or centre. its not what dodgy agents does.

@JUSTWISE, i was refused for no reason, i was refused because i was asked to submit an education certificate from university of lagos, which i did not attend. and that the money in my account is just for 26days, which is a big lie. i have applied for admin review and i havnt heard anything from them since December 13th 2010. i stated it clearly for them that, i did not attend university of lagos and that the evidence used to obtain my Offer is shown on the CAS.
what do u think i should do as i have not heard anything from them.

Was ur bank statement showing the last transaction b4 u print it out for visa application? Did you choose oral or paper hearing? Review takes time, u have a good chance of wining the case but it takes more than 2months.

That is not even the point. Who are you to stop anyone from travelling to any country of their choice if they so desire? Anyway people will never stop travelling.Life itself is a journey full of stages
And lets face it if someone for whatever reason is DETERMINED to settle in England after his studies he will definitely find a way to do so. There is nothing new in that. Even people are prepared to go through a million times worse challenges just to cross over to the European mainland. So lets not get too hung up on these tier 1 or tier 2 arguments.
I am still baffled though why some people here, who are themselves in England, feel that it is necessary to warn others who may be total strangers not to come here. It makes very little sense moreso as everyone is different and has their own life to live.

We are only telling them not to listen to door2door sales-man like u who is ready to mislead pple about juicy life in England. We are giving them the 2sides of the story then whoever is coming will be well prepared. The person will know that with diploma course u can only work 10hrs a week now unlike b4 when it was 20hrs, we are telling them that getting a job now is tougher. That is what we are telling prospective students.
