Does that mean if my spouse Is not in Nigeria we cant apply together
I intend doing our application together while he does biometric from his location because of our child. Since I cant apply for my child without putting in an application for my spouse.

We actually intend travelling together from Nigeria

@justwise
How will you book appointment for him ? If you can book an appointment for him outside Nigeria then go ahead

Thank you, but I need clarification on this statement "indicating that I'll be travelling with him is it" technically we won't be applying together because we will be applying separately from different countries so is this really necessary?
If the visa comes out will you not be traveling together? Just indicate that he will be applying separately from another country.

Good afternoon people, my husband wants to apply to join me in the UK as my dependant. He is not in Nigeria so we cannot apply together.

Do we have to wait for me to get my Visa before he can apply?

OR

Can he apply once I get my CAS?

Thank you
Let him wait until you get your visa first but indicate in your form that you will be traveling with him.

@justwise and @all who can weigh in on this, kindly help.

My International Passport will expire December 29,2021. I have done TB test with the current Passport in April. Can I apply for visa with it in July? Can I fly with it in September? I saw somewhere that you can't use the Passport if it is less than 6 months to expiration date.

Please help!
Yes you can not a problem

@ilekokonit you filled with wealth of experience... I know when I read through all your post... Honestly you, legxus , justwise and other Excos are really a blessing... sometimes when I see people in Nigeria say nonsense about the uk or abroad I ask them do you legxus and justwise on nairaland... then they say NO I tell dem what you are telling me has no reference and hence na lie...... this is fisrt hand unadulterated information... not all this dreamland stories we hear... I myself plan on relocating soon and hope to settle in d uk as I'm not married... these information on here has been my guide and has helped me to know what to expect and be emotionally prepared...
Best time to relocate and work as if there is no tomorrow so as to have a solid foundation before settling down, Avoid sham marriage when you are ready else you will mortgage your life forever.

It may affect some landlords giving you accommodation but NOT all landlords do a credit check before letting out their houses as most of them are just interested in the regular rent payments.

And yes, you can contact the collection agency (a lot of them allow you to even set up a payment plan online without any human contact) but ensure i) you don't tell them you relocated to Naija without paying the loan and ii) only agree a payment plan you can easily afford say for instance £40 a month and stick to it and iii) guard your credit after it becomes good again after 5 or 6 years as you most likely will want to buy a family house instead of wasting money on rent. Good luck.
You are not helping her situation, they most likely know that already so why lying about it?

Good evening good people, I am trying to book ahead for TB test. My wife who is the main applicant has her passport and all but I am in the process of renewing mine and it's taking a bit of time. I am wondering if I can fill in the old passport number just to get it done and hopefully get the new passport before our booked date or is it best to wait? She's to resume September and we plan on going together thus the rush @justwise @ futureukstudent @all
Not a good idea.

Pls when a school sends a message of “CAs been used” does it mean that decision has been made? If yes! How soon will the visa be out?
It means you have used the CAS to apply for visa, your school wouldn't know if decision has been made or not. Student visa standard application is usually 15 working days.

Hi @thegurus

I am lost on what to do...

My husband and I have both studied and lived in the UK some years back before moving back to Nigeria 4 years ago before our visa expired. However, we are both coming back to the UK in September for his PhD studies while I come on as a dependent.

I do not know how to say this but I have to. During my stay, i took an unsecured loan and credit card loan from a UK bank and I didn't pay it off before I left the UK and I totally forgot about it while in Nigeria. i recently logged into my UK bank account this week and I saw the deficits. There was no official mail from the bank during the years I was in Nigeria so I wasn't in the know. Although i should have remembered that I didn't complete the payment so it's all my fault.

I tried to access my credit score and as expected, it has been impacted and I observed that the money has been passed off to a collection agency.

I would like to know if

1. I can contact the collection agency and find a way to pay off the deficits or have some kind of a structured repayment plan.

2. As my husband and I are both coming to the UK this September, can this affect us from securing accommodation in the future, especially when they do a credit check on our documents?

I would really appreciate your response and I do hope to be able to clean up this mess I created.
That is your only way out and pray that they will accept payment arrangement else you will be asked to pay up completely.

If you have the money then its better to pay up so as to stop the interest getting out of hand, collection agent will add their own commission as well.

Do full credit score check to see companies or organisations that have looked at your credit history .

Hi everyone.
@Justwise and co. Y'all are doing a great job here. May God continue to bless you.
I have my first degree in Chemistry but I would like to have my Master's in Nursing at any UK university. How possible and feasible is this please.
I have seen a lot of advert that says study nursing with any degree... Is it really possible?
Note: I do not have any experience in nursing or related field.
Your prompt response will be highly appreciated.
You can only get this info from the school website or contact the school directly, i know people to do that with IT courses but i'm not sure about medical course

Who are those people that are selling dates??
Nigerians take advantage of any slight opportunity. The Polish embassy needs to something about this legalization issue. Many students have been denied vital opportunities in Poland due to their inability to legalize documents. I don't blame them anyway. It's quite unfortunate we find ourselves in this devastating country, Nigeria. Nigerians don't have values anymore.
A lot of them are here, pretending to help while in reality they are after what they can get.

My people and seniors, I need more enquiry for u and will appreciate ur contribution as always.

I currently live in Norwich and am considering relocation. What do people think Stockport or Yorkshire in terms of work, life, school for kids, job pay for a Nurse and a career and side hustle.

Anybody living there or has lived there.

Thanks
Have a look at Leeds or Bradford though Bradford is affordable but Leeds is more developed and demographically balanced than Bradford,

Leeds is also ahead in terms of job and life in general and it has a good transport network hub and share an airport with Bradford.

About 45mins away from Manchester though a bit far to London

But who drinks and smokes weed and then drive afterwards.

Once I wanted to head out and ride my bike, but I forgot I was going to ride my bike then drank beer. I thought to myself, I'm never climbing that bike, I'd rather use the bus because I have fallen from my bicycle once and I wasn't even drunk. Boy was it painful!
That has happened to me once because I used the back brake while riding on the snow, that bike formed figure 8 and I went home with few bruises.

Good evening guys,
My friend base in Turkey introduce me to an agent in turkey and she promised to get me a 2 year polish work visa for 2000 USD, 1000 USD befor and 100 USD after the visa is out or Canada 2 years visit for 1700 USD. My question is;
1, Nigeria in Poland, Canada and visa gurus how legit can this visa be, owing to the fact that the fee are nonrefundable and it is possible to get Poland work visa or Canada visit visa while in Nigeria from Turkey ?
2, economically and job wise is Poland profitable and what kind of job are available ?
3, the polish citizens are they racist ?
You will kiss that money goodbye the moment you give it to the agent.

Give that money to your worst enemy in Nigeria if you got nothing serious to do with it.

Of course this is a scam and its written all over it
TravelRe: I Need An Urgent Help To Identify Canadian Visa Scam Pls! by justwise(mod): 2:24pm On Jun 18, 2021
Gerarduq:
I received a call yesterday, Thursday, from a Canadian embassy representative interinterviewing me. The representative asked me questions about my application, language skills, work experience, and other immigration questions where she scored me high. Now, the problem is this, the Canadian embassy representative interviewed me via phone and asked me to submit my Atm card details. She also said she will debit my atm card of $850,000 so I'll use it for work education (fee for processing my application with my potential employers included). Can Canadian embassy representatives ask one to submit his or her atm details via phone call and ask that person to pay immediately? How can I contact Canadian government about verifying the number that called me? I didn't pay because I don't have money and I should pay today!

I'm processing this via my agent who was my coursemate (Political Science) in unn, and he's quite trustworthy. But my family members are skeptical about everything. Hope to hear from you all, thanks.
This is a scam and the call is not from Canadian embassy or representative

What is the number that called you?
