aabiemi: Good evening good people, I am trying to book ahead for TB test. My wife who is the main applicant has her passport and all but I am in the process of renewing mine and it's taking a bit of time. I am wondering if I can fill in the old passport number just to get it done and hopefully get the new passport before our booked date or is it best to wait? She's to resume September and we plan on going together thus the rush @justwise @ futureukstudent @all Not a good idea. |

Pls when a school sends a message of “CAs been used” does it mean that decision has been made? If yes! How soon will the visa be out? It means you have used the CAS to apply for visa, your school wouldn't know if decision has been made or not. Student visa standard application is usually 15 working days. |

7barz: Hi @thegurus
I am lost on what to do...
My husband and I have both studied and lived in the UK some years back before moving back to Nigeria 4 years ago before our visa expired. However, we are both coming back to the UK in September for his PhD studies while I come on as a dependent.
I do not know how to say this but I have to. During my stay, i took an unsecured loan and credit card loan from a UK bank and I didn't pay it off before I left the UK and I totally forgot about it while in Nigeria. i recently logged into my UK bank account this week and I saw the deficits. There was no official mail from the bank during the years I was in Nigeria so I wasn't in the know. Although i should have remembered that I didn't complete the payment so it's all my fault.
I tried to access my credit score and as expected, it has been impacted and I observed that the money has been passed off to a collection agency.
I would like to know if
1. I can contact the collection agency and find a way to pay off the deficits or have some kind of a structured repayment plan.
2. As my husband and I are both coming to the UK this September, can this affect us from securing accommodation in the future, especially when they do a credit check on our documents?
I would really appreciate your response and I do hope to be able to clean up this mess I created. That is your only way out and pray that they will accept payment arrangement else you will be asked to pay up completely. If you have the money then its better to pay up so as to stop the interest getting out of hand, collection agent will add their own commission as well. Do full credit score check to see companies or organisations that have looked at your credit history . |

I have my first degree in Chemistry but I would like to have my Master's in Nursing at any UK university. How possible and feasible is this please. I have seen a lot of advert that says study nursing with any degree... Is it really possible? Note: I do not have any experience in nursing or related field. Your prompt response will be highly appreciated. You can only get this info from the school website or contact the school directly, i know people to do that with IT courses but i'm not sure about medical course |

Lheman : Who are those people that are selling dates?? Nigerians take advantage of any slight opportunity. The Polish embassy needs to something about this legalization issue. Many students have been denied vital opportunities in Poland due to their inability to legalize documents. I don't blame them anyway. It's quite unfortunate we find ourselves in this devastating country, Nigeria. Nigerians don't have values anymore.A lot of them are here, pretending to help while in reality they are after what they can get. |

I currently live in Norwich and am considering relocation. What do people think Stockport or Yorkshire in terms of work, life, school for kids, job pay for a Nurse and a career and side hustle.
Anybody living there or has lived there.
Thanks Have a look at Leeds or Bradford though Bradford is affordable but Leeds is more developed and demographically balanced than Bradford, Leeds is also ahead in terms of job and life in general and it has a good transport network hub and share an airport with Bradford. About 45mins away from Manchester though a bit far to London |

Once I wanted to head out and ride my bike, but I forgot I was going to ride my bike then drank beer. I thought to myself, I'm never climbing that bike, I'd rather use the bus because I have fallen from my bicycle once and I wasn't even drunk. Boy was it painful! That has happened to me once because I used the back brake while riding on the snow, that bike formed figure 8 and I went home with few bruises. |

My question is; 1, Nigeria in Poland, Canada and visa gurus how legit can this visa be, owing to the fact that the fee are nonrefundable and it is possible to get Poland work visa or Canada visit visa while in Nigeria from Turkey ? 2, economically and job wise is Poland profitable and what kind of job are available ? 3, the polish citizens are they racist ? You will kiss that money goodbye the moment you give it to the agent. Give that money to your worst enemy in Nigeria if you got nothing serious to do with it. Of course this is a scam and its written all over it |

Gerarduq: I received a call yesterday, Thursday, from a Canadian embassy representative interinterviewing me. The representative asked me questions about my application, language skills, work experience, and other immigration questions where she scored me high. Now, the problem is this, the Canadian embassy representative interviewed me via phone and asked me to submit my Atm card details. She also said she will debit my atm card of $850,000 so I'll use it for work education (fee for processing my application with my potential employers included). Can Canadian embassy representatives ask one to submit his or her atm details via phone call and ask that person to pay immediately? How can I contact Canadian government about verifying the number that called me? I didn't pay because I don't have money and I should pay today!
I'm processing this via my agent who was my coursemate (Political Science) in unn, and he's quite trustworthy. But my family members are skeptical about everything. Hope to hear from you all, thanks. This is a scam and the call is not from Canadian embassy or representative What is the number that called you? |

Rubiomo: Answer: University of Chester is my top choice of University to study for a masters degree in Public Health because the Public Health Skills and Career framework (UK) was taken into consideration while formulation the course modules. This all of the important public health competency areas are integrated into the course as offered by the University. The course content offers a very practical and realistic approach to learning.
Also because of the strong international program, studying at the University of Chester will also avail me the opportunity to meet people from different cultures and backgrounds, which will further broaden my perspective, make me more culturally-aware and enable me practice delivering my duties along with a diverse team of individuals. This would likely be the case in the future as I wish to make a global impact.
The University of Chester is located in Chester which is such a beautiful city with an extremely rich culture, history and even architecture. Being a campus city, I look forward to the closely knit, communal living lifestyle and the serene environment in Chester.
This was my answer to question 3; why university of Chester? One of the reasons why they are hard on you about this question is because you did not visit their website to read more about the university. All the universities put out a lot of positive vibes about their institution on their website, they pretty much market each course trying to convince prospective students An example is this link from their website https://www1.chester.ac.uk/international/why-chesterhttps://www1.chester.ac.uk/why-chesterThey gave you 10 points/reasons why their school is the best place for international students. All you need to do now is to pick each point and put your own twist to it. |

Rubiomo: The first time they returned it, they said I should fill it more in-depth which I did and sent it back.
They responded with specific questions that I should answer again
Question 3: Why did you choose to study in the University of Chester? Question 4: Why did you choose your course and how is it related to your previous study? Question 9: What do you know about the University of Chester? Question 10: What do you know about the city where your studies are conducted?
I have filled this form twice and they are still not satisfied. I wish I can get insight from someone who has filled this form successfully. This is common when your answers are generic and not detailed enough. What were your answer to those questions? Then i may be able to help with a bit more details |

Example If you submit your application on 1 January 2021, you’d have to show that the funds were in your bank account for at least the 28-day period ending on 1 December. This is 28days rules they are trying to explain, frankly i don't know why people are not getting this, we have discussed this over 1000x here for years. Deposit your money and count 28days or 30days . |

Can I simply explain in the application that I can’t remember if I have an Ni number because it’s been long I worked in the uk and my former place of work don’t keep payslips for more than 7years.
@sincerechic That is perfectly ok and yes you can work without NI for certain period of time until you get one |

The guy you quoted(Idabaka****) may not be a scammer after all. Just like others mentioned, we need to tag people's names only when we have pieces of evidence.
He was at the Polish Embassy this morning. I am sure a scammer will run away and not allow you meet him in person after making you spend money.
Lets be guided please The same person that claimed to have travelled to Poland long ago with his work permit? And he is not a scammer? |
