I know dat.
My question is can I get visa if I apply on my own I don't mind to claim am married to her but(he insists she can't leave the UK) an I need to be in the uk.
The mistake has been made but the worst you can do now is trying to add to the web of lies and deceits. You can't divorce her because you are not married and as long as she remains in the UK illegally your chances of getting a visa to the UK remains very remote.

Try Canada or US and this time around do it yourself

Na so we dey pay am. A family of 5 oo.

But the good thing is the new guidelines allows dependant on Tier 2 visa claim if they are health workers as well, even if the main applicant isn't on the Tier 2 health care visa.
This shouldn't be only for health care workers, this should include all other non-health care immigrants as well

oga, he will be given two and half years "fatherly care". it doesn't take upto 6 month to get.
I have friends , family members who pass through this process. provided the lady holds British passport.
getting ilr is a process which may take upto 7-8 years but from 2and half years leave to remain he can reapply and so on.
the most important thing is having a child , once that is done, forget the rest.
the most difficult ways nowadays is marriage without child or children .
if he tries to come back they wouldn't consider his application base on past precedence. let him remain their until he gets the 2/half years before thinking about marriage or returning back otherwise sorry na him name .
Obviously you are speculating, having a baby with the hope of staying back in the UK hardly work especially when the applicant is an immigration offender. Even years ago when respect for private your right and family life was strong immigration argument, getting it under 6 months is a miracle.

Since spouse visa and laydown requirements was introduced those right for family life hardly work not even one came in with visiting visa and overstayed that visa.

If the relationship is genuine then go through the normal procedures and apply for spouse visa.

Staying back now will be the beginning of frustrating years in the UK, can't work, can't study, just stay at home while immigration solicitors milk the little he has

Is there a way to protest against this? Just imagine paying for a family of 4!

That is a huge amount of money and you have to pay again for next visa extension. This is really unfair.

I agree. We don’t even mind if they don’t scrap for dependents. That’s still understandable because some dependents don’t work.
It just seems fraudulent to be pay IHS and still continue paying NI.

That is what its, sometime last year somebody shared a link for petition against this i signed it but i'm not sure the outcome was positive

Good news for those that paid for IHS beyond 31st March 2020.

You can now apply for every past 6months till its completed.

Below link for application

https://immigration-health-surcharge-reimbursement.service.gov.uk/

And further guidance
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/health-and-care-staff-can-claim-immigration-health-surcharge-reimbursement
IHS should be scrapped for those in the UK applying for visa extension, this is like double taxation, people pay the IHS during visa and still when they get here and start working.

Good day
I really need addvise for people here
I tried traveling to UK last year but to know avail
The agent dupe me of 3.5million
He didn't pay any tuition to d school only to plead to me act as a lady husband that once she get to UK he will apply for me as her dependants, let me cut the long story short he lied to the school that government will be sponsoring the girl on getting to the school she was ask to pay er fees she was like again. Then the school said once she can pay then she have to leave UK mind u am er dependants instead of er to leave the UK she ran away an start hustling till now and we all know what that means. My major problem now is want to apply for UK study visa once am being grant adminted into any school did you think is going to affect my own visa . Am not applying as her dependants but she already claimed that am er husband when applying last year December someone who understands my story should help because I know this people computeris working like Edo witch.
This is going to affect you , she is living illegally in the UK and the agent forged marriage certificate to support the lies . I wouldn’t encourage you to apply for UK visa

Sorry pls house a friend need a serious advice. I want the gurus in the house to look into it. He got a visit visa and in the course of visiting from found a British citizen got her pregnant and his Visa is gonna expire next month ending so he wants to know if he can stay with his woman and if yes will his visa status change after the child birth ?
Encourage your friend to return to Nigeria and encourage the lady to come to Nigeria to marriage him or he can return and apply for fiance visa that allow him to get married in the UK within 6months then spouse visa letter.

Overstaying that visa will compound his problem.

Having a baby with that lady as a means of staying back is not really a good idea as it will take him at least 10yrs to smell proper freedom from immigration control.

So if I have some ££ and would like to get some naira or vice versa, I should not network with a fellow Nairalander on this thread and barter the monies. Right?

That clarifies it, really.
I'm not sure what you are on about, my initial post was addressing the increasing number of people who suddenly started advertising money exchange business here, feel free to contact whoever you want to deal with but that is not what i'm taking about.

How convenient.... Mr Justwise.
If it’s you posting about moneyfex and Azimo and exchanges etc, ON THIS THREAD, then it’s okay.
If it’s others, you hide the comments and throw out a ‘warning’
Sad!

Or can you use your chest to say that you yourself have not posted exchange posts or rates or preferences on this thread?

Not Nice.
I don't own any of those companies you mentioned and they are registered company in case anything goes wrong you know how to get your money back.

This is not the same as individuals posting personal money exchange business here.

Same thing happened to me, after I reset my phone. I then switched to the ,*737... Service.

You just have to get token when next you are in Nigeria. Or they can send you a card and token for 10k.

But you have to send notorized copies of proof of address, ID, etc. To NRN at gtb
That is what I planning to do when this whole thing is over. Thanks for the information though as I’m not aware that one can even get it done from here.

I recently went through the NRN process. It took me months but this was during the lockdown so that may be a factor.
I called their contact centre and was sent some forms to update my details (My phone number and address were not up to date). I was also sent a token request form to fill.
I paid about N2500 for the token and courier which cost about N6k.
You can download the form online and email it as indicated above.
Ok i got it now, though i was able to use 737 to send money to a relative though the problem is that you can't send more than 50K a day, so i have to send only 50K and tomorrow i will send another 50K...and a day after tomorrow...

You will be asked to create a pin but you can't use it for mobile banking

Bourne007:
Fill the PDF link below and send to the email address on the form. There's the option to select Token and Mastercard. Once complete and processed, courier cost deducted from your account.

https://www.gtbank.com/uploads/download-forms/NRN-Account-Colectibles-Courier-Delivery.pdf

If your account isn't NRN, you might need to feel another form (account update). If I recall, I also did a video call to verify my identity. They are usually quite quick I just only had to chase cos them no receive my form. When I sent to the nrn email, I had to compress file like 5 times cos they no receive the original lol.
Well regarding NRN i have not updated that account with my UK details, so basically its not NRN account, so it may be a long process.

Thanks for the head-up anyway.

Mine stopped working a while ago, it keeps saying wrong pin/create a pin.

And after contacting GTB they directed me to NRN department which is another story.

My advice for everyone get a token before leaving naija
I have being using pin for yrs to pay with no problem but after i changed my phone and tried to use the app i was asked to create a token or pin..as if that was not bad enough..my card has expired and i can't use it as part of set-up process.

That's the obvious thing to do if it's a curable disease.
It's sickle cell crises. You can only manage it. The cost of managing it here, coupled with the stress involved is the issue.
So how will you be able afford it abroad holding vising visa? Even with work visa in many countries you will need health insurance to receive treatment.

Hello Travellanders,
Please, I need help on making a decision on where to relocate to.

My Story:

I am an agripreneur, I am also good at graphic designing, content writing and other literary freelance works. I have a 2:2 (2.98 GPA) in Microbiology.

I have a health condition which is deteriorating due to the stress associated with my business. I have been advised to travel out and try other climes by friends and my doctors.

The major reason I am seeking for advice is to know countries with relatively easy Visa, good economy and opportunities for foreigners.
i am open to PR, Visiting Visa ( one that can lead to PR) and Schooling.
I would appreciate if I can get answers here cos my life depend on it.
Thanks in anticipation.
Don't even try that even with your health condition, use that money to get medical help.

Try National express too, i doubt if there is any city in the UK they don't travel to. You can also use train if you have the money.

hello everyone, I need a little help ,my husband is a British citizen and has filed for me to join him we have summited our application 2 weeks ago, but I was just told that I am suppose to include an IELTS Results and a Tuberculosis certificate which I did not , now my question is , is there any way to send these 2 documents to the uk embassy in Nigeria ?
Send those two documents to your husband but before you do that he needs to contact UKBA by email or phone(he will be charged for contacting them though) and inform them about the mistake, he will be told what to do else you have to cancel the application and reapply with those documents.

I believe you have forgiven the guy, abeg make the matter slide, though its doesnt you you should unban him, truth be say na so internet life be person that ordinary will not be able to talk to you one on one in real life fit dey insult you, person where you fit feed am for like 2weeks go dey call you broke, lols
If insults like this kills then i will be dead by now, i receive insults from randomly people almost on daily bases here for the past 10yrs, i never came out to complain.

I only responded to this because he decided to open another account then called my ID for help regarding travel issues, that is taking a piss.

Lastly..this is for those who deliberately focused on length of the ban, ban means nothing because many people quickly open another id to continue posting and a ban by a mod only restrict a member from posting in one section a lone.

The op has opened more than 4 ids since this happened, so the ban did not stop him from doing jack.

He needs to move on with his life.

Done with this.
